Set 15 years after the events of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, the game's Freedom Cry DLC takes you to Port-au-Prince in Haiti, where playing as Edward Kenway's quartermaster, Adewale, you'll free slaves from plantations and sink huge slaver galleons from the wheel of Adewale's own ship, the Experto Crede.

Ubisoft has released a new launch trailer for the upcoming add-on, showing Adewale brutally cutting down slavers with his massive machete and blowing away bad guys with his wide-bore blunderbuss.

You'll be able to play as trained assassin Adewale in the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Freedom Cry add-on when it launches tomorrow (December 17th) in North America for $9.99 and on December 18th in Europe. Alternatively, you can get the DLC with the ACIV Season Pass, which costs $19.99. Check out the vid below.

  • Alright Ubisoft, let's spend a little less time gouging people for DLC and more time fixing some of these (all) glitched as fuck trophies.
  • Is this another DLC Trophies?
  • I'll get this soon. Since I'm still working on the main story, kind of silly to get it before I finish.
  • 15 years later? Jesus christ lmfao

  • I think the season pass is unnecessary, if the multiplayer pack is 2.99 and Freedom Cry is 9.99, then that's all we need. The other 7 dollars are just for customizing your ship and having to unlock and discover everything on the map
  • @6 sure there will be more dlc than it shows now, ubisoft hasn't stopped milking this title yet.
  • @6 Really? Are those MTs part of the season pass? That would be ridiculous. Nevertheless, the trailer is awesome, but agreed, those online-feature trophy bugs are annoying. Before all when you receive a blank "support-ticket-closed" message from ubisoft when writing them about it.
  • wow I regret buying that season pass now. I could've just bought the freedom cry and multiplayer pack for $13. What the hell did I pay an extra $7 for? Ubisoft better have another thing to give to season pass owners otherwise screw them and any of their passes from here on out.
  • I don't see this ending well at all because it looks like it is set around the end of his carer as a pirate, though sad and tragic tales are always interesting. @7 go away, if you don't like the series anymore noone cares, I still love it and hope for at least several more titles, and hopefully one fully modern day game that has a main focus on the war and the precursers, namely Juno and Minerva. @9 not sure what else they might have and not sure if its still on i would have to check, but if you get the season pass you also get $5 of the ps3 version of ACIII Liberation.
  • I didn't know about the $5 off of liberation so that's something at least. thanks @10 for the information. I also love the series and hope they got more great titles coming. not a fan of the multiplayer but I am hoping for a modern day assassins creed as well. however I think that's not going to happen because of events in 3 & 4. won't spoil it for those who haven't played it yet.
  • @5 You're not a gamer you 9 year old squeaker. You named your ID after a milked out series GTFO CoD Fanboy.
  • @5 your comment made no sense. Why @3 when your response had fuck all to do with what he said lol? 0 forum posts and a cod related username? Dickhead springs to mind!
  • @10 who said i don't like assassins creed ? I really like the single player but hate the multiplayer, and why should i go away i have the right to say i think ubisoft milk there titles as much as you have the right to say what you want about it. So shut your face.
