Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Rise is out now for PlayStation and Xbox, bringing with it a selection of new Event Quests to complete, featuring crossover content from the likes of Mega Man, Street Fighter, Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins, Okami, and more.
Having sold 11 million units on Nintendo Switch and PC, Monster Hunter Rise hits PlayStation and Xbox with support for 4K resolution, various graphics options and filters, voice chat, 3D audio, and a range of other features. Monster Hunter Rise also introduces new features to the series, including the Wirebug grapping mechanic and a rideable ‘canyne’ Palamute companion.
You also have 14 weapons to choose from, each able to unleash 'Silkbind Attacks' and new Switch Skills. The ‘Wyvern riding’ technique, meanwhile, enables you to mount and control weakened monster temporarily, and use their powerful abilities during a hunt. Tower defence sections called Rampage Events also feature, tasking you with protecting Kamura Village from marauding monsters, using various traps and other emplacements.
