GTA V Has Now 'Sold-In' More Than 195 Million Copies

Take-Two Interactive - parent company to Rockstar Games - has shared its latest financial results, revealing that Grand Theft Auto V has now “sold-in” more than 195 million units, taking total sales for the GTA franchise to date, to 420 million.

Unsurprisingly, GTA V has been the company's best-selling title in the US over the 10+ years since it first launched, reaching $1 billion in sales faster than any other entertainment release in history. Red Dead Redemption II has performed strongly, too, selling 61 million copies since its release in October 2018.

In total, the Red Dead series has sold over 86 million units. Meanwhile, Take-Two is preparing for another massive success story in 2025, with the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 on the cards. Will it sell as well as GTA V has over the past decade? Probably.
