Developer Tango Gameworks has revealed that Ghostwire: Tokyo has surpassed the 6 million player milestone, following the game's initial PlayStation 5 and PC release in March 2022, and subsequent Xbox launch in April of this year.

No doubt, the game's arrival on Game Pass has helped buoy player numbers considerably, but 6 million players is impressive, regardless. Upon its Xbox launch, Ghostwire: Tokyo also received a new Spider's Thread update, introducing a roguelike mode to the game.

A free update adding new costumes also dropped back in July. Ghostwire: Tokyo is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

  • It was so boring and the combat sucked. It had potential.
  • Wonder when the most people joined since it was both on Plus as on Gamepass.
