Fortnite Battle Royale 'Cowabunga' Event Sees the Return of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Richard Walker

Fortnite Battle Royale has seen the return of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles today, complete with their signature weapons, and Cowabunga Quests to complete for TMNT-themed rewards.

Cowabunga Quests are split into six phases, enabling you to earn Ooze that can then be spent on unlocking rewards via the free and premium Cowabunga Pass. Complete a set number of Quests in a phase, and you'll also unlock that phase's Krang Blueprint - collecting all six will earn the Krang Back Bling.

The free Cowabunga Pass reward track includes the TMNT Pizza Back Bling, The Kuro Kabuto Bass, the Turtle Blimp Glider built by Donatello, and more, while the Premium reward track includes instant access to the Shredder Outfit (and its LEGO style) and additional rewards like Shredder's Steel Claws Pickaxe, Super Shredder's Cape Back Bling, and the Super Shredder Outfit (and its LEGO style).

As the Turtles, you'll be able to wield Leonardo's katanas, Donatello's bo staff, Raphael's sai, and Michelangelo's nunchaku, while each has an attack, air attack, dash attack, and double jump with varying stats. You can also ride across the Island using a TMNT-style Driftboard, and pop some stunts on your way to a health and shield restoring Pizza Party box.

In the Item Shop, the four Turtles outfits are available, alongside Splinter and April O'Neill, each with a Fortnite and LEGO style. The Fortnite x TMNT Cowabunga event is live now until 27th February at 2pm GMT.
