Final Fantasy XVI is less than a month out from release, so Square Enix has released a new launch trailer for the upcoming RPG epic, titled ‘Salvation’.
The video sets the stage for your impending voyage into the realm of Valisthea, offering insights into the tough circumstances the Bearers (those born with the ability to cast magicks at will) must face. You'll also discover the truth of what lies behind the Mothercrystals, believed to bestow blessings upon humanity.
As the Blight spreads across Valisthea, protagonist Clive Rosfield must fight to take control of fate, alongside a party of allies. Bearing the title of ‘First Shield of Rosaria’, Clive is also sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the Dominant of the Phoenix, Eikon of Fire. And when tragedy befalls Clive, he swears revenge upon Ifrit, a mysterious Dark Eikon that brings darkness and calamity.
You can see more for yourself in the Salvation trailer below, then prepare yourself for the arrival of Final Fantasy XVI for PS5 on 22nd June. Make the most of it, too, as Square Enix has no plans for DLC.
