Dead by Daylight to Welcome Nicolas Cage as a New Survivor With More Info Coming in July

For some reason, Nicolas Cage, the legendary actor famed for his occasionally unhinged performances in the likes of Face/Off, Con Air, The Rock, Ghost Rider, Mandy, and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, is coming to Dead by Daylight this July.

Cage won't be joining Dead by Daylight as a character like Count Dracula in Renfield (which might have made more sense), however. Instead, he'll be starring as himself, outrunning The Entity (and the game's roster of other Killers) through The Fog as a new Survivor.

“After countless awards and over one hundred movies shot across the globe, Nicolas Cage had seen it all and done it all – or so he thought,” the announcement reads. “While on set filming the role of a lifetime, his performance summoned The Entity, a malevolent being of incomprehensible power.”

Developer Behaviour Interactive will be revealing more about Nicolas Cage's arrival in Dead by Daylight on 5th July. Until then, you can check out the teaser below.

  • That’s cool that he has no issues with having himself in a game where he wouldn’t be getting attacked and gored. Other actors wouldn’t be as keen on the idea due to inflated egos, which maybe Cage does have, but he seems to be chill with this at least
  • @1 So you haven't heard of his tax troubles then? :))
  • Dude owed money, worked his ass off in cheap indie movies for years to pay things back and never made a fuss over it. We got some of the best Nic Cage movies because of his money issues and he always appears humbled without a crazy ego when he appears in the news.
  • Even though I didn't really like Reinfeld that much I'd have been epic to play as Dracula so darn it that's a big miss that he didn't say he wanted his Dracula in the game.
Oh well. I rarely load up DBD anymore anyhow. The balancing is really off for it.
  • Haha, this is more exciting than any killer reveal they've done so far.
