Having opened a new studio in Spain earlier this year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 developer Infinity Ward is expanding once again. The studio has now opened offices in Austin, Texas, with staff wanted to work on Call of Duty.
“Infinity Ward has opened a brand new studio in Austin, TX,” a job ad for the new studio (via VGC) reads. ”The studio will work on creating new and innovative experiences for Call of Duty and create state of the art technology to power them."
Infinity Ward also promises to foster “a safe, trusting, and empowering environment to unleash your creativity and help make the extraordinary,” according to the listing.
Founded in 2002, Infinity Ward was the original Call of Duty developer, and now works alongside multiple studios on the juggernaut FPS series. The developer now has studios in Mexico, Poland, and Spain, alongside its California HQ and its new Austin, Texas facility.
The studio most recently worked alongside other developers under the Activision umbrella on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, although Sledgehammer Games served as the lead developer.
