Gearbox Software seemingly has its hands full at the moment, at least according to a leaked LinkedIn profile, which lists three sequels including Borderlands 4, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 2, and a new entry in the long-dormant Brothers in Arms series.

With the studio noting last year that Tiny Tina's Wonderlands had “shattered expectations”, a sequel to that hardly seems surprising, while a Borderlands 4 also seems like a safe bet, especially with the long-gestating movie adaptation on the cards for an August 2024 release. Borderlands 3 was also rather successful, ‘selling-in’ five million copies in the space of just five days.

As for Brothers in Arms, the studio's tactical World War II shooter series has been on ice since the cancellation of Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 in favour of a more “authentic” Brothers in Arms experience. Nothing appears to have come of that, however, despite Gearbox's Randy Pitchford insisting that it has “unfinished business” with Brothers in Arms, and the studio telling us in 2019 that the WWII shooter is “still very important” to Gearbox.

The LinkedIn profile in question is that of former Lost Boys Interactive technical director Randel Reiss, the studio being a support team that has contributed to a number of Take-Two games. However, it seems that Reiss has since edited his profile, mentioning instead “unannounced sequels”.

  • It's time they moved on from BL and TT, they have not gotten better at all, only worse.

Brother's In Arms though, that has my interest, permitting it is done well. Which that has little hope!
  • BL and TT's storylines were both awful.
I will not be buying this time around.
  • I just hope BL4 has better endgame at launch than BL3 had
  • Just make Tales of the Borderlands 2 (or even better let TellTale do that).
  • Who cares? BL3, TTW and New Tales from the Borderlands were terrible and did an incalculable amount of damage to the franchise, thanks to the ruinous storylines and character changes that royally messed up the lore and canon of the universe. They've been talking about doing a new BIA for nearly 15 years at this point, ever since 4 entered perpetual development hell in the late 2000s.
