Apex Legends has a new Sun Squad Collection Event to partake in from today, offering the new ‘Heatwave’ game mode, as well as a range of summery limited-time cosmetics, and other stuff.
In the Heatwave limited-time mode, you can enjoy a twist on traditional Battle Royale, wherein sporadic heatwaves cause damage to any players outdoors. To stay safe, you'll need to retreat inside or stay under heat shields until the heat subsides. Sliding or wearing sunglasses will help reduce the impact of the sun's harmful rays.
While playing Heatwave mode, you can look the part with 24 new themed cosmetics, available for Ash, Mirage, Fuse, and others, including fancy Hawaiian shirts, scuba gear, and other items. Unlock all Sun Squad cosmetic items before the event ends on 11th April, and you can earn Ash's ‘Strongest Link’ heirloom for your efforts.
