Adele called from the year 2015, she said ‘Hello’ - which did pretty well that year! Not quite as well as Facebook though, who passed 1 billion users in 2015! 2015 was a year of scandals and wave-making news on the whole, in truth. It was the year that Sepp Blatter stepped down from FIFA after a corruption scandal rocked FIFA, all while Volkswagen were embroiled in their own controversy, Dieselgate, an emissions scandal that swept through the German automaker’s ranks. The Curiosity Rover also found evidence of Mars once having water this year! From a pop culture perspective, The Expanse launched in 2015 while Star Wars made its triumphant return with The Force Awakens. 2015 was also the year that the Mayweather and Pacquiao saga first got underway! In terms of games, 2015 was the year that Maxis finally closed its doors to the dismay of many fans, while Rock Band made a return after a 5-year hiatus. 2015 was also the year of the dawn of the looter-shooter and games-as-a-service business model, as Destiny launched into the zeitgeist. 2015 was also the year of the messy Konami and Kojima divorce, while the whole industry mourned the passing of Nintendo legend, Satora Iwata. Here’s 2015’s best PlayStation games.
