2014 was an obscure year, one that saw a whole range of things happen on both ends of the spectrum. For instance, 2014 was the year Uruguay’s Luis Suarez bit Italy’s Giogio Chiellini in a World Cup match but also the year Scotland held a independence referendum (which didn’t pass in the end). It was also the year of "The Fappening" and the Ebola outbreak as well - like we said, both ends of the spectrum! 2014 was also the year of True Detective, Interstellar, Whiplash and Ex Machina, while Taylor Swift managed to ‘Shake It Off’ to win the hearts of many. It was also the year of Flappy Bird! In terms of games, Sony unveiled Project Morpheus (which became PlayStation VR) while Facebook bought Oculus Rift for $2b in 2014. Amazon wanted in on the games act, purchasing Twitch for $970m, while Microsoft bought Minecraft for a cool $2.5b. 2014 was also the year of GamerGate - yikes! - and the year that hackers brought down Xbox Live and PSN over Christmas! Anyway, here’s 2014’s best PlayStation games.
