    Deal 50k in Reflective Damage

    How to unlock Reflect Rager

For this trophy, you must deal 50k in Reflective Damage. This trophy is cumulative and can unlock once you damaged your opponents with over 50k+ worth of Reflective Damage. This trophy will naturally unlock just by playing through the Single Player Campaigns, Multiplayer and Duelist Challenges Modes as long as you're working towards dealing Reflective Damage. Tutorials duels do not count towards this trophy's unlocking.

    What's a Reflective Damage?

Reflective Damage isn't really Yu-Gi-Oh! terminology exactly, but its Battle Damage dealt when your opponent Attacks your Defense Position Monsters. When a Monster is in Defense Position and you attack it, then the following things can happen.

    1. If the opponent's Monster has a lower DEF than your attacking Monster's ATK, then the opponent's Monster will be destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. No damage is inflicted to either player's Life Points.
    2. If the opponent's Monster has higher DEF than your attacking Monster's ATK, then neither Monster is affected in any way. The difference will, however, be deducted from your own Life Points.
    3. If both Monsters have equal values, then neither Monster is affected in any way and no damage inflicted to either player's Life Points.

From the above examples, you'll want the 2nd option to happen just with your opponent attacking your own DEF Position Monsters. This is Reflective Damage being deducted from your opponent's Life Points and it'll count towards the trophies unlocking. With that in mind, the best way to unlock the trophy is to build a deck full of 2000 Defense Monsters and duel Weevil Underwood. I found Weevil was the best Duelist who would attack your DEF Monsters as long as they were Face-down. Keep in mind though that he'll stop attacking your DEF Monsters if they're Face-up on the Field. To prevent this from happening you can turn your Monsters into ATK Position to get rid of some of your own Monsters, so you can place more Face-down DEF Monsters in the same duel. Another way is to simply Surrender in order to get more Victory Points towards the Card Shop, either option will work fine.

Additionally, if you want to further speed this trophy's unlocking up. Try to get 3 copies of "Stone Statue of Aztecs" and "Stronghold Guardian". These two cards combined is very deadly when your opponent attacks into your Face-down Aztecs while you have the Hand Trap of Stronghold in your hand.

    1. "Stone Statue of Aztecs" - Double any Battle Damage your opponent takes when they attack this monster.
    2. "Stronghold Guardian" - If a Defense Position monster you control is attacked, during the Damage Step, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to have that monster gain 1500 DEF until the End Phase.

For example, if a Monster with only 1000 ATK Points attacks into "Stone Statue of Aztecs" with 2000 DEF and then you activate "Stronghold Guardian" Monster Effect from your Hand. Aztecs will gain 1500 more DEF Points and double the damage your opponent will take from the new difference. In this case, it's 3500 DEF - 1000 ATK = 2500 Damage * 2 from Aztecs' Monster Effect, so total damage your opponent taken is 5000.

  • I have dealt easily over 50K with Magic Cylinders... if that does not count as Reflective Damage, what does?
  • Reflective damage is when they attack you and your defence is higher, magic cylinder is effect damage.
  • Thanks Lydon... This may take a while!
  • Use light attribute and boost them with Honest. Thats how I got it. Have all the trophies now.
  • honest has nothing to do with obtaining this trophy Hero. Honest boosts your monster's attack value. You want cards that boosts your monsters defense points or lower your opponents' monster attack values when they attack your face-down defense position monsters.
  • Upon recieving this Trophy while use using an ATK boosting Trap, I can not only confirm Tom's statement, but also extrapolate that "Reflective Damage" in the TCG is not the same as in video games, but rather in this game it is thr same as literally every other single Yugioh Video Game ever. Be it the World Championship series or Tag Force series, Reflective Damage is defined as "Battle Damage dealt to your oppnent during theit attacks". This includes standard reflection damage, as well as boosting ATK, or bouncing it to your opponent with Amazoness Sword Woman or Dimension Wall.
