Introduction:

Xenon Racer is a futuristic arcade racing game developed by the indie team 3DClouds. The game is all about drifting as you’ll obtain boost when you drift which will help winning the different events and getting gold medals in time attack. The platinum is pretty straightforward, you’ll need to win all events in the Championship, get all gold medals in Time Attack, play for 10 hours and some other online trophies. It’s best to find a boosting partner for this as it’s pretty dead though, the trophies won’t take too long fortunately.

Just be warned that some trophies are currently glitched as of patch 1.03, but there are workarounds to unlock them; check the guide for more info.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Win all events in the Xenon Racing Championship

The first thing you want to do is head to the Xenon Racing Championship and win all events. Some events are 3-races “championships”; as long as you finish 1st overall you’re good to go. While winning every event, you will unlock every track for the Time Attack and also every car.

Trophies unlocked in this step:

Stop And Go
You Like To Win Easy
GT
Normal
All Around The World
WPN
Finalists
Final
Xenon Gives You Wings
Do We Know Each Other?
Cabinet

Step 2: Online

The online part is pretty short but you’ll want to find a boosting partner as there aren’t many people playing the game. Reaching level 10 won’t take too long and you’ll probably get it while going for your 20 wins. The 3-races and 5-races championship can glitch and take multiple attempts to unlock, for unknown reasons.

Trophies unlocked in this step:

You And Me
Hybrid Champion
You Start From Here
Think You Can Stay Ahead Of Me
Good Setup
One Last Effort
On The Wings Of Victory
The Popular One
World Champion

Step 3: Gold Medals in Time Attack + Misc trophies

Now that you’ve unlocked every track and car, it’s time to get gold medals in Time Attack. There are 10 tracks to beat and they’re all pretty easy except the last one, which is also glitched as of patch 1.03. You can’t beat it without the patch, but the trophy is unobtainable with it. The workaround is to get all gold medals with the patch, delete the patch and restart the game without being connected to the internet at all, and get another gold medal, then the trophy should pop.

Trophies unlocked in this step:

Now You Know What To Do
Magic Apple
Faster Than The Wind
On The Couch
SWAG!
Xenon Racer
This Is Just the Beginning
Still Here?
Halfway There

  • Unlock all the trophies

As always, unlock all the other trophies to unlock the platinum!

  • Win 10 races in any mode

Self-explanatory: win 10 races in any game mode, offline or online.

  • Win 1 race Online

You’ll need to win 20 races Online for Hybrid Champion ; you'll earn this on the way.

  • Achieve Gold on all of the Time Attack tracks

    GLITCHED

This trophy is unobtainable without the 1.03 patch, as the time for Tokyo Skyscrapper is impossible to beat. But the trophy is also glitched and won’t pop with the 1.03 patch. The workaround is to play with the patch and get all gold medals, then delete the game and the patch, disconnect your PS4 from internet, launch the game without installing the patch and get any gold medal again except Tokyo Skyscrapper. Now the trophy should pop.

    Now fixed with update 1.06!

The first thing you want to do is to complete the Xenon Racing Championship to unlock every tracks.

Time Attack can be found under Edge Mode on the main menu. There are 10 tracks and you need a gold medal in each one of them. The Tokyo Skyscrapper track is impossible to beat without the patch as the time to beat for gold medal is 1:21 and even with the fastest car and driving perfectly you won’t beat this time. With the 1.03 patch, the new time to beat is 1:30 and it’s still not easy. It’s the hardest one, all the other tracks are pretty easy to beat even without customizing your car.

I played with the GT LM02 car but the WPL 01 is also a very good car especially if you customize it. Go into the Garage in the main menu and change the wheels and wings to max out the Max Speed without lowering too much the drift or handling. Now for the ERS I would recommend changing it to the second setting, the boost will not last long but you will recharge it faster and it’ll be very useful for the Tokyo Skyscrapper track.

Here is how I customized my WPL 01 car:
    Wheels: 4th one
    Front Wing: 3rd one
    Middle Wing: 1st one
    Back Wing: 2nd one
    ERS: 2nd one
    The rest is just cosmetic.

  • Win 1 race Offline

Simply win one race in any offline mode.

  • Play for 2 hours (Time Attack and Free Mode excluded)

    See 2030 .

  • Play for 4 hours (Time Attack and Free Mode excluded)

    See 2030 .

  • Play for 8 hours (Time Attack and Free Mode excluded)

    See 2030 .

  • 2030

Play for 10 hours (Time Attack and Free Mode excluded)

Chances are you won’t get this trophy naturally as the game only count you spend when actually racing, and not in the main menu, etc. Except Time Attack and Free Mode, any other game mode count for this so you can either play online or in the championship for example.

You can also use a rubber band on your L2 button and start a Championship race. The race won’t end until you finish it and you will never finish it if you only go backwards. You can see a timer on the track, it’ll stop after reaching 99 minutes and 59 seconds, but the time should still count for this trophy. If you want to make sure though, just finish the race and restart it.

  • Win a 3 race online championship

    GLITCHED

See Think You Can Stay Ahead Of Me .

  • Win a 5 race online championship

    GLITCHED

These trophies are glitched and might take multiple attempts to unlock, for unknown reasons. I tried winning all races, choosing different tracks, hosting the session but the 5 races trophy wasn’t popping. It was the same for my boosting partner, but for the 3 races trophy. The workaround might be to join your boosting partner’s session through Fast Join instead of accepting their invitation, but it is not guaranteed to work.

Go to Online in the main menu and create or join a session. It’s best to have a boosting partner as the online is pretty dead.

When creating the session, press to edit the tracks and press to add tracks. A short track is the Lake Louise Bridge R in Canada, with only 1 lap. Add 3 races and win them all to get You Start From Here , then create another session and add 5 races and win them to get Think You Can Stay Ahead Of Me .

You will also race against AIs, so make sure to have a fast car.

  • Win 20 online races

It’s best to have a boosting partner for this as the online is pretty dead, but you’ll also have to beat the other AIs so make sure to have some practice beforehand and get a fast car.

  • Win at least one race in all of the offline modes

Offline modes are Races, Time Attack, Checkpoint Attack and Elimination. You will play each of them in the Championship except for the Time Attack. You can also find all modes in Edge Mode in the main menu, apart from Races.

Note that you will need a gold medal on a Time Attack to unlock this trophy.

  • Win a race in Split Screen

You’ll need a second controller for this trophy. Go in Split Screen in the main menu, choose your cars, the track, etc and put 1 lap. Win it with your main controller, you don’t have to complete the race with the second controller.

  • Win all of the Checkpoint Attack races

There are 7 Checkpoint Attack and you will play all of them during the Championship so you should get this trophy naturally if you aim to win everything. If not, you can find them in Edge Mode in the main menu.

  • Achieve Gold at the Tokyo Downtown track in Time Attack

See Faster Than The Wind for some tips. This isn’t the hardest track to gold medal, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble to get this one.

  • GT

    Win all the WGTE events

The WGTE events are unlocked after winning the WGT event during the Championship. There are 3 races to win and they’re pretty easy. The first event is a 2 races event; you don’t have to win them both, you just need to finish 1st at the end of the event.

  • Win all the WHYC events

The WHYC events will be unlocked once you complete the WGTE events. There are 3 events to win and 2 of them will consist of 3 races. Again, you don’t have to win them all, you just need to finish 1st overall.

  • Win all the WPN 01 events

The WPN 01 events will be unlocked after completing the WHYC events. They consist of 4 3-races events, and you need to finish 1st overall in each one of them. You don’t need to win all races to win an event.

  • WPN

Win all the WPN 02 events

The WPN 02 events will be unlocked after completing the WPN 01 events. There are 13 single races to win, and you need to win all of them. Make sure to customize your car, as the game will start to be more difficult.

  • Win all the WPC events

The WPC events are unlocked once you beat the WPN 02 events. They consists of 7 single race events and 2 3-races events. Again, for the 3-races events, you just need to finish 1st overall.

  • Win all the WPLA events

The WPLA events are unlocked once you beat the WPLA events. They consist of 3 single events and a final that will also unlock Xenon Gives You Wings .

These are the final races of the championship and they can be tricky, so make sure to choose the fastest cars and customize them. Check Faster Than The Wind if you want to see the settings I used.

The final will be a bit different as you will play against a flying AI which you won’t always see during the race. The time to beat is around 1:32.

  • Win the final challenge against the future!

See Final ; you will also unlock this trophy after beating the last race of the championship.

  • Win the last vehicle!

Vehicles are unlocked when winning events in the Championship. You need to win all of them for other trophies so you should unlock this trophy after winning the Final event.

  • Drift in one game only for more than 50 seconds

This game is all about drifting so you should unlock this trophy naturally. You can drift when releasing and pressing it again while turning, or quickly pressing or while turning.

  • Use 10 boosts in a 3 laps race

You should get this trophy naturally as you’ll need to use boost to win the different events. You can get boost while driving on the blue power-ups you see around the tracks, or you can also get boost while drifting.

  • Reach rank 4 online

    See World Champion .

  • Reach rank 5 online

    See World Champion .

  • Reach rank 7 online

    See World Champion .

  • Reach rank 9 online

    See World Champion .

  • Reach rank 10 online

Reaching rank 10 online won’t take long and you’ll probably get these trophies while going for your 20 wins. It takes about 30-45 minutes to reach rank 10 online if playing with a boosting partner.

DLC: Final Sprint!

  • Achieve gold at the Grand Alps 3000 and Grand Alps MT. Rosa tracks in Time Attack

  • Achieve gold at the Nevada Dam and Nevada Red Rock Canyon tracks in Time Attack
