Multiplayer Completist Trophy in WipEout 2048

    How to unlock Multiplayer Completist

    UNOBTAINABLE DUE TO SERVER CLOSURE

This trophy is similar to "Multiplayer Finished," but you must either pass or elite pass all 210 events to unlock this trophy. Unlike "Elite Completist", you do not have to elite pass the event although sometimes you may actually find it easier to complete the objectives required for the elite pass. The event will give you certain objectives you must complete in order to pass or elite pass the event. The maximum number of different objectives you will face in an event is three, however note that some of them are somewhat glitched. For example, if your objective is to hit a certain person but they leave or get disconnected, then the objective will not update and you'll be stuck with the same (and now unachievable) requirement. This can't be avoided, so all you can do is hope that it doesn't happen to you.

The objectives you will encounter in all manner of combinations are as follows:

    • Just Play
    • Don't Finish Last
    • Finish In The Top Half
    • Finish 1st
    • Hit Any Player With A Weapon
    • Hit Any 2 Players With A Weapon
    • Hit A Specific Player With A Weapon
    • Hit 2 Specific Players With A Weapon
    • Beat 1 Specific Player
    • Destroy A Ship
    • Destroy 2 Ships

These objectives tend favour the Eliminator mode moreso than Racing, as it's very difficult to destroy ships in a race and still win but it's relatively easy to do so in Eliminator. Weapon restrictions exclusive to races can also make some objectives problematic. When playing online after each event, every player gets to vote for the game mode they want to play. There will always be two events to choose from. One is always a race and the other is always an Eliminator event. Track, speed class, number of laps and weapon restrictions are all variable. I would recommend Qirex Figher (Unlocked from obtaining at least 50 points and therefore passing an Empire Climb Eliminator event in the 2048 campaign) for Eliminator and Pir-hana Speed (Unlocked by finishing 1st and therefore passing an A Class, 3 laps, missile only Altima race event against another Pir-hana speed ship) for races; although you can use any ship that suits your racing style.

Be certain to know which event you're about to play before beginning, because you could end up in an Eliminator event with a speed or agility ship which can make things a lot more difficult. You can change your ship by tapping the ship icon in the event screen. If you are having issues obtaining passes or elite passes in the Multiplayer Campaign, feel free to use the Trophy Boosting Thread. The game will automatically match you up with your PSN friends if possible. Each lobby holds a maximum of eight players and a minimum of four is required to earn passes and elite passes. All games are public so the only way to prevent random players from joining is to fill up your lobby. A link to the Trophy Boosting Thread is located below:

  • Here's some tips! 1) Do not use the Auricom prototype! The green pads are a lot more useful than you think! 2) Don't give up too easy, you can go from being last to first in just a few shots. Stay behind your target, regardless of what he's doing, and finish him! 3) Remember this one! If you're low on health, go for the green pads untill you get a bomb, place it and hit it yourself! You'll lose some points, but no one will gain any from hitting and destroying you. It helped me a lot, keeping my score as high as possible. -Fey
  • This trophy makes this a 100+ hour plat. Loading times, dropped games, and glitches make the 268 (NOT 210) events take 2-4 times longer than it should. In the past 15 hours, 7 of them have been spent progressing whereas the other 8 have been staring at loading screens or watching the servers get disconnected. Trophy is not difficult at all considering I am elite passing a vast majority of events, it's just a MASSIVE time sink.
  • Tell me about it; I encoutered a glitch were all my online node progress was reset. Last session I put my vita away after completing level 14, next time I booted it up I had to start ALL OVER AGAIN. This is one of the last ones I have to get for Plat, but damn; achieving it this way makes it way more annoying!
