Introduction:

Welcome to DedSec lads and lasses. The third game in the Watch Dogs series takes place in London this time, and let you play with any hero you want so feel free to recruit anyone and build your best team to counter the cyber-terrorism or something like that.

The trophies are all pretty straightforward and easy, only a few of them will be a bit luck-based as you'll need to find a Video Game Designer, a Living Statue and someone with a Paintball Gun, and they don't have fixed locations. Other than that there's nothing to really worry about.

You'll have story missions to finish, a few side missions and some side activities. And collectibles, a lot of collectibles. Also you'll need to spend 100 000 ETO on clothes, and you will barely earn 100k over the game so MAKE SURE TO NOT SPEND MONEY ON USELESS STUFF. You've been warned.

Walkthrough:

/! Warning: The game tends to crash a lot, while I never had this issue, you might even get your save corrupted so you might want to back up your save here and there to be safe.

Check this thread for more info and a workaround:
There's currently a bug going around that if you crash (depending on how lucky you are). Your save will become corrupted and you will remain on the game loading screen infinite before you load into the map.

There is a way round this by starting a new save, not overwriting your old one, and loading it back up again. In doing this, you keep your progress.

However, also in doing this. You lose your operatives and become a scuffed robotic Dalton.
Step 1: Story Missions

After completing the first mission, you'll soon have to pick your first operative. The list of Operatives is random and will be different for everyone. It doesn’t matter who you pick, but you might want to pick an operative with good weapons/upgrades, to give you a good start. Also, if you have the possibility to pick a Video Game Designer, a Living Statue or someone with a Paintball Gun, then by all means choose them, it will help with a few trophies later. You can also look at them while doing the story, without going out of your way yet. Also whatever you do, DON'T SPEND ANY MONEY YET, you'll need every last ETO later to buy clothes.

Keep following the story missions, they start automatically one after the other and it's all pretty linear so you won't have much trouble. At some point you'll need to choose between 2 different storylines, it doesn't matter which one you start with. Also the choice at the end of some chapters doesn't matter for the trophies.

Make sure to accept side missions when you see them, you don't need to do them now but some people will give you multiple missions and you'll need to talk to them to access them, so make sure to always do that so you have everything ready for the next part.

Feel free to use any kind of operative you want. You don't need to go out of your way to recruit anyone as all missions can be completed with any operative, except for certain missions where the game will lead you to new operatives automatically. Same for the Tech gadgets, you don't need any of them, so feel free to play as you want.

It will take you around 10-12 hours to finish the story.

Step 2: Side Missions + turning all boroughs into Defiant

After the story, you'll have a few side missions to do, you don't have to do all of them though so make sure to look at the guide to know which ones.

Also go and complete all the Red Icon missions shown on the map to turn all Boroughs into Defiant state if you haven't done that over the course of the story. You will earn some useful new operatives for the clean-up part.

Step 3: Miscellaneous + Collectibles

Lastly, do all other side activities and collectibles such as Kick-up, Paste-Up, Drink and Darts. Make sure to follow the collectibles guide as these one won't be tracked and won't appear on your map unless you're close to them. You'll then need to look for Audio Logs, Relics and Tech Points but those ones will be shown on your map so it shouldn't be a problem.

After that, do all of the other miscellaneous trophies and you should be really close to getting 100 000 ETO. Some ETO safes will be shown on the map so go pick them up if you need to, then finally spend all your hard earned money on clothes.

Making Friends

Recruit an Operative after completing "Reporting For Duty"
Story related and cannot be missed.

Reporting For Duty is one of the first missions of the game, after completing it, the next time you recruit someone you’ll obtain this trophy. This is unmissable as some main missions will ask you to recruit some new people so you’ll obtain this trophy automatically while going for the story missions.
Rise Up

Turn one borough into Defiant state

Story related and cannot be missed.

After completing the second mission of the DedSec chapter near the start of the game, the Borough of Camden will be turned into Defiant state. You’ll obtain a Skilled Recruit each time you turn a borough into Defiant state. More people will also be available to recruit in that borough.
Take Back London

Turn all the boroughs into Defiant state
There are 8 boroughs that you need to turn into Defiant state, one of them (Camden) is part of the story. You can do that whenever you want, do note that after “liberating” a borough, there will be less Albion police on the streets.

To turn a borough into Defiant state, you’ll first have to complete the missions marked in red on the map, there are generally 3 of them but Lambeth has 4. Once it’s done, you’ll have a new mission and when you complete it, the borough will be Defiant and you’ll gain a new operative.
Every Walk of Life

Have a team of 20 Operatives with different occupations
You can recruit almost anyone after leaving the safehouse after the first mission. You can press when near them to talk to them and they will give you a recruitment mission. If it’s not available, hold on them and hold to add them to your list, then you’ll be able to access their mission from the Team menu. If they’re hating DedSec, you’ll first have to buy the Deep Profiler on the Tech menu and then press on them to see their recruitment leads, which are small task to do so they don’t hate you anymore. You’ll also receive new operatives when turning borough into Defiant state, and they count for that. You just have to recruit 20 of them, and make sure they have different occupations (jobs).
Meta-Gaming

Recruit a Video Game Designer

This trophy looks simple but I haven’t found the perfect location where they would spawn. I found one in my game on the streets near the Safehouse and when looking at their profile and investigating a bit, they were working on a building near the Viaduct station so you might want to check there. Another option would be to start a new game (after backing up your save) and hope to find a Video Game Designer when you’re asked to choose your first operative. I tried that, and 3 out of 4 times, there was one of them on the list so it might be faster that way.
Down To The Wire

Perform 5 stealth takedowns with a Professional Hitman

You will first need to recruit a Professional Hitman in your team, you’ll automatically have one by turning the Nine Elms borough into Defiant state. Once you have them, go in any red area and make sure to stay undetected. Approach your enemies and press to take them down. Your Hitman might use their piano wire like 47 but even if they don’t, as long as you’re not detected it will count.
Death From Above

Kill 5 Albion guards using Dive Bomb

You will first need to recruit an operative that can use Dive Bomb. When turning the Lambeth borough to Defiant state, you’ll recruit a Drone Expert that can use it. Go in any red area that has Albion guards (you can see that when highlighting the areas, it’s telling you what disguise to use, if it’s Albion then there’s Albion guys) and open your gadget wheel with choose Dive Bomb and press while aiming at enemies.
NO NOT THE BEES

Neutralize 10 Albion guards using Bee Swarms
You will first need to recruit a Beekeeper operative that can use Bee Swarm. You obtain one after turning the City of London borough into Defiant state. Go in any red area that has Albion guards (you can see that when highlighting the areas, it’s telling you what disguise to use, if it’s Albion then there’s Albion guys) and open your gadget wheel with choose Bee Swarms and press while aiming at enemies. This thing doesn’t deal much damage so you might want to shoot at your enemies once or twice before using this.
Hack The Planet

Propagate a hack across 8 targets at once
You will first need to recruit someone that has Viral Hacking has a passive ability. You obtain one automatically after turning Camden into Defiant state. This ability let you hack multiple targets at once, by holding and then holding the or button to disable multiple drones, distract or shock people etc. There is a good place to do that and is East of the Safehouse, where some people are protesting. There should be more than 8 of them so highlight one of them and hold then hold to shock them. They should all be shocked at the same time and you’ll get the trophy.
Shaken Not Stirred

Disable weapons of 5 Albion guards at once using the Spy Watch Gadget

For that you will need to recruit a Spy that can use a Spy watch, you will have one by turning Westminster into defiant state. Go in a small closed area where there are Albion guards (like Scotland Yard in Westminster) and get detected. Try to run around in the police station, and when many guards are around you open your wheel with and choose the Spy Watch gadget. Press and all guards around you should be jammed and you’ll get the trophy.
Power To The People

Have your followers neutralize a total of 3 Albion guards

You will first need to recruit someone that has the Rally Cry ability. You’ll unlock a Hooligan that can use it when you’re turning Islington & Hackney into Defiant state. Open your wheel with and choose this ability, 3 other people will join you and help fighting enemies. Now you need to let them fight and defeat 3 Albion guards so make sure you’re fighting Albion and not other enemies. It doesn’t matter if it’s not the same guy that kills all 3 or if they die and you need to call some other followers.
Paint Me Like One of Your...

Stun Clan Kelley members 5 times with paintball gun headshots

Paintball Gun is a unique weapon that only certain operatives will have so you'll first need to recruit someone that own this gun, like Illustrators or Street Artists. Keep looking at people until you find one. I found a Street artist in the Paste-Up location at University College London but it might not be there for you. Once you have found it, go in a red area that has Kelley enemies (highlight location on the map to see what disguise to use to know what enemies are there) and then just shoot them in the head with your paintball gun.
Throw The Book At Them

Perform 5 arrest takedowns

For this one you want to recruit a Policeman, there are plenty of them in Albion Camden Station or Scotland Yard in Westminster. Once you have one, open your wheel with and pick up the handcuffs, then walk near any citizen on the street and you’ll be able to arrest them with .
The Royal Tour

Enter Buckingham Palace's restricted area disguised as a Royal Guard
Buckingham Palace is located West of the safehouse. You can find a few Royal Guards there so hold on them to add them to your team list, then follow their recruitment mission to have them join your team. If they dislike DedSec, you’ll first need to buy the Deep Profiler on the Tech menu, the press on them on the Team menu to see their recruitment leads. Once you have one, make sure they wear their Royal Guard outfit (open the wheel and wear it if not) then simply walk inside the red area of Buckingham Palace.
You Don't See Me!

Escape a Pursuit Level 5 doing a Statue Emote

You will first need to recruit an operative that has Living Statue as an occupation, and can use Statue Pose. They are most likely to perform during the day near popular places, like the Millennium Wheel in Lambeth. Once you have one on your team, keep driving around until you see a police car then shoot at them or bump into them so you trigger a Pursuit. Keep shooting at them and other citizens but make sure to let one alive so they don’t lose you. Try to survive until you have 5 stars, then run a bit, open your wheel with and use the Pose Statue and stop moving (it might not work if they see you when using it). Wait until they lose you.

Complete Kick up challenge intermediate 1

Kick up challenges are shown on map with a football/soccer ball icon. There is one just East of the Safehouse so you shouldn’t have trouble finding them.

To be able to do the Intermediate 1 you will first need to complete all 6 levels on beginner. It’s a QTE type of side activity, press all the buttons correctly, if you press while it’s in green you will earn more points, after a few green hits you’ll see purple, if you press while it’s purple you’ll trigger a bonus move and will earn many points. Once you a reach new level you don’t have to restart everything if you fail. You can also continue on other locations. The Intermediate 1 level is different, you don’t need to reach a score, you just need to not fail for 20 seconds, so don’t go out of your way hitting in the green/purple.
Bullseye

Complete a Darts game in every Darts location

There are 21 Darts locations across the city. You will need to play a game (I played Solo but it shouldn’t matter) in all of them. Try to do it with the same operative as there might be some tracking issues. They won’t show on the map unless you drive really close to them and there’s also no tracker so check the collectibles guide to see their location.
Piece de Resistance

Complete a Paste Up in every Paste Up location

There are 47 Paste-Up locations. Try using a Cargo Drone (Constructing Worker has one) so you can reach these locations easily. Even though I didn’t have issues myself for this one, try to do them all with the same operative. They won’t show on the map unless you’re pretty close to them and there’s also no tracker so check the collectibles guide to see their location.
Bottom's Up

Drink at least once in every Drink location

There are 26 Drink locations across the city. You just need to drink once in all of them. Try to do it with the same operative as there might be some tracking issues, even though I had no issues. They won’t show on the map unless you drive really close to them and there’s also no tracker so check the collectibles guide to see their location.
DedSec Delivery

Complete 20 Parcel Fox Delivery Missions

Parcel Fox missions are shown with a little fox icon on the map. Pick up any of them and deliver it to the marker. Each box has multiple missions so it doesn’t matter which one you pick. They all have a time limit but some of them will also be fragile so you will need to deliver them without taking too much damage and some others can also trigger some Police so be careful. It’s a good idea to use an operative that has a fast car and the Clear All ability, as it hacks everything that is on your way while you’re driving. The operative you get after turning Tower Hamlets into Defiant state has that ability.
All About Aesthetic

Buy a Weapon Skin

On the main menu, go to Team and pick any operator that own a gun. Press on them and again on the weapon. Then press to access the skins, the cheapest one costs 2080 ETO.

Fresh Threads

Spend 100 000 ETO on Clothes in shops

100,000 ETO is a lot of money and you might not have this even after finishing the story, side missions and side activities. Now open your map and look for ETO, then go pick them up. Some of them can net you around 1,000 ETO so it’s a faster way than doing contracts or parcel missions in my opinion. After that, make sure to backup your save as you don’t want to lose all that money if there’s an issue. Now look around for clothes stores (there are literally millions in the game, everywhere) and buy some clothes until you spend all your money. Try to use the same operative in case there’s tracking issues.
Fully Kitted

Unlock all Upgrades
For this one you’ll have to unlock all stuff in the Tech menu, and also all of their upgrades. You’ll need a lot of Tech Points and you won’t get enough of them after finishing everything. Now open your map and go pick up Tech Points, they will be marked on the map after turning boroughs into Defiant state. You don’t need to pick them all up so feel free to skip the most annoying ones.
Locked And Loaded

Purchase all Campaign Weapon Upgrades or all Online Weapon Upgrades
This trophy can be a bit misleading as there are many unique weapons that only certain operatives can use but you only need to buy upgrades for the 4 weapons that are on the Tech menu.
- The LTL 68P DedSec Pistol
- The MP9 DedSec SMG
- The LTL SG
- The DedSec Grenade Launcher
You’ll need Tech Points for that so open your map and go pick them up, they will be marked on the map after turning boroughs into Defiant state.
Oral History

Collect 50 Audio Logs

Possibly GLITCHED

Either this trophy is glitched, or the Audio Logs that you get during the story without actually picking them up don’t count but make sure to pick up any Audio Log you see while doing the story and side missions, they’re marked with a speaker icon. After finishing everything, a lot of them will be marked on your map because you drove next to them without noticing for example. Now open your map and collect as many as you see, and hopefully you get enough of them to pop the trophy.

Collect 15 Relics

You’ll automatically get a few Relics as part of the story, but make sure to pick them up when you them to save some time, they’re marked with a chest icon. Note that the Relics that say “1/4” or “1/5” etc. so won’t count unless you find all parts of them. Open your map and look for Relics if you are still missing some after finishing everything.

Brave New World

Complete "Operation Westminster"
Story related, cannot be missed.

This is the first mission of the game. You start the game with Dalton for a very short mission. Follow the objectives, pressing to hijack cameras and to arm the traps to kill guards. It doesn't matter if you get detected, you’ll just need to fight the guards.

Right after getting the trophy, you’ll automatically start the mission Restart DedSec. Control the Spiderbot, hack a few Ctos stuff and then you'll have to choose your first operative from a list of 15.

The list is random and will be different for everyone. It doesn’t matter who you pick, but you might want to pick an operative with good weapons/upgrades, to give you a good start. Also, if you have the possibility to pick a Video Game Designer, a Living Statue or someone with a Paintball Gun, then by all means choose them, it will help with a few trophies later.

Follow the objective, then solve your first node puzzle (remember that there’s an Accessibility option to make it easier). When you reach the Safehouse, there are tons of Audio Logs and a few Relics, make sure to pick them up, even though you’ll be able to go there whenever you want.
The Future Is Bright

Complete the 404 Storyline
Story related and cannot be missed

The main missions will all be given to you automatically, one after another, so don’t worry.

404 Chapter: Family Business
- Initiate Sequence: Pretty simple mission, nothing to worry about.
- 404 Not Found: There will be many enemies and turrets on this mission, so be prepared.
- Coming Home: There should be a drone nearby to help solving the node puzzle, if not use the cameras on the building next to the marker. There are tons of Relics on this mission, make sure to pick them up.
- Into the Void: There is a choice at the end of this mission, but it doesn’t matter for the trophies so choose whatever you want.
Long Live The Queen

Complete the Kelley Storyline
Story related and cannot be missed.

The main missions will all be given to you automatically, one after another, so don’t worry.

Kelley Chapter 1: Body Snatchers
- Lost in the Process: Pretty simple mission, nothing to worry about.
- Clan Kelley’s New Export: You’ll need to find and photograph dead bodies, they are located on the room to the right, open the gadget wheel with then use camera with to take photos.
- Bloody Mary Kelley: Pretty simple mission, nothing to worry about.
Kelley Chapter 2: Down The Darkweb
- Crashing the Auction: Pretty simple mission, nothing to worry about.
- Market Closing: Pretty simple mission, nothing to worry about.
- Falling from Grace: Pretty simple mission, nothing to worry about.
Hacker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy

Complete the SIRS Storyline
Story related and cannot be missed.

The main missions will all be given to you automatically, one after another, so don’t worry.

SIRS Chapter 1: Spy Games
- The Whistleblower: Pretty simple mission, nothing to worry about.
- Espionage 101: Pretty simple mission, nothing to worry about.
- Honey Trap: Whoever you try to talk to the target with, will be the wrong type and you’ll have to switch to the opposite gender so make to have at least a male and a female in your operatives.
- Hunting Zero-Day: At the end of this mission, you need to follow a fast car closely, I managed to lose the car but the mission didn’t fail. Instead, a new one started, it might be different for you, although I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have a major impact on what’s coming after.
- Smoking Gun: You'll be kidnapped on this mission and will need to swap to another operative. I’m not sure what would happen if you only have one operative on your team, but at least now you’re warned.
- Kill Box: If drones are following you at the end, remember that you can press to deactivate them.
- The Malik Dossier: You can hack everything with the cameras on the roof, so don’t be like me and call for a cargo drone, because it isn’t necessary, but that also works. Many drones and guards to fight at the end of this one.
- Barbarians At The Gate: Basically a cutscene.
When Good Men Do Nothing

Complete the Albion Storyline
Story related and cannot be missed.

The main missions will all be given to you automatically, one after another, so don’t worry.

Albion Chapter 1: Zero Tolerance
- Gap in the Armour: Pretty simple mission, nothing to worry about.
- Inside Albion: You’ll need to recruit an Albion Guard for this one. The game will lead you to one of them so don’t worry. Complete the recruitment missions so they join your team. Your new operative has a guard uniform, which means if you walk and stay away from other guards you’ll stay undetected.
- Stealing Schemes: The bit with the micro drones can be a bit annoying. You have unlimited drones though, but they can be destroyed pretty fast so take your time and watch out for every traps.
Albion Chapter 2: True Colours
- Restocking the Fire: Simple mission.
- Nigel's Close Shave: If using your Construction Worker (which you should have recruited earlier as part of the story), you’ll be able to sneak into the area on this mission.
- Defanging The Flock: Combat drones will come at you, it would be a good idea to have the CT Drone Hack tech, if not shoot them down.
- #JusticeForClaire: There will be many guards and attack drones to fight so be ready.
- London's Protectors: You'll get a warning message when using the elevator, letting you know that you cannot swap operatives or leave the area until you finish the mission so make sure you're ready. I suggest having some good weapons/gadgets for this part. You'll need to solve 3 node puzzles while being attacked by the boss and a few guards. After solving a puzzle you'll be able to shoot the boss' weak points to damage it.
Divided We Fall

Complete the DedSec Storyline

The main missions will all be given to you automatically, one after another, so don’t worry.

DedSec Chapter 1: Squad Goals
- Light A Spark: Simple mission.
- Clarion Call: Camden will turn into Defiant state after this mission and you’ll get Rise Up.
- Reporting for Duty: You’ll be told to recruit a construction worker, everything will be shown on the map so don’t worry. They’re also all the same pretty much so pick your favorite one and complete their recruitment missions. The construction workers have the Cargo Drone which is pretty useful for reaching all the annoying areas, you’ll see when you’ll go for the collectibles.
- Digging up the past: Simple mission.
DedSec Chapter 2: London Rising
- DedSec Party: Basically a cutscene.
- The Face of the Enemy: You'll have a warning message telling you that you cannot leave or swap operatives until you finish the mission so be ready, I suggest some good weapons/gadgets for this part, the Turret Hacks tech is also a good idea. Here the screens will light in a certain order, and you'll have to hack them in the same order, 3 times, to unlock the lift. Watch out for the mines near the mannequins as well as turrets and spiderbots. You’ll also fight against invisible guards and grenade launchers. At the end, you'll be chased by Albion, I found that the best way to escape was to kill them all so do that.
- Hard Reset: You'll get a warning message saying that everything will be locked until you complete or abandon the mission. The city is also a big mess now and everything is being hacked. There will be lots of fights on this one and you’ll also automatically switch between 2 operatives.
The One That Got Away

Complete "Finding Bagley"
Finding Bagley is a side mission that will be unlocked after completing all the main missions. Bagley will give you 8 pictures that you can find on the main menu under Data => DedSec. You need to take pictures of these locations but there will be no markers on the map.

Fortunately, I have your back, the locations are:

1: The National Gallery in City of Westminster.

2: Millenium Wheel in Lambeth.

3: World of Tomorrow in Islington & Hackney

4: Brixton Recreation Centre in Lambeth.

5: Crosier & Cherry Tree in Camden.

6: Duck Island Cottage in City of Westminster.

7: Wellington Arch in City of Westminster.

8: Guy’s Hospital in Southwark.

After that, you’ll have a final location to photograph:
9: Walkie Talkie in City of London

Finally, a marker is back, go meet Bagley at the St Pancras International in Camden to finish this mission.
In The Nick of Time

Complete "Change of Heart"
Change of Heart is a side mission that will be available at the safehouse, given by Kaitlin. It will be available after completing a few main missions of the Albion storyline, Kaitlin gives you multiple missions throughout the game so if you never accepted the previous ones, it might pop later for you. Remember to keep accepting missions whenever you see them available. The mission is pretty simple, you need to rescue a hostage, and then drive a vehicle inside the river.
A Roof Over Your Head

Complete "Royal Treatment"

Royal Treatment is a side mission that will be automatically unlocked after completing 2 other side missions. The first one of them is called The Knowledge and will be given by Nowt at the safehouse at some point in the story. It’s recommended to pick an operative with good weapons as there are a lot of enemies. The second one, Nobody Home, will start automatically after the previous one, and once completed, Royal Treatment will start.

In this mission you need to find 3 abandoned mansions, you only have vague locations on the description of the mission but no marker.

The first one is located West of Warren Street Station, in Camden: You’ll need to solve a node puzzle and destroy a wall to hack the ctOS, and then photograph the mansion.

The second one is located between Horseferry Road and St James Station, in Westminster: Access the roof to hack the ctOS and then photograph the mansion.

Complete "Parks and Reclamation"
Parks and Reclamation is a side mission that will be given to you by Hamish through the computer at your safehouse. But you’ll first need to complete the Third Degree Burns side mission (also given by Hamish through the computer, at some point after completing some story missions, remember to always accept side missions). It’s a pretty simple mission so follow the objectives.

Whenever one of your operatives injure other people, they will remember it, and they might take revenge later on in the game. For example: When you kill a man, his wife starts to hate DedSec and then later on in the game, she might come at you. These missions are totally random and will pop randomly while you’re playing. Having many operatives on your team increase the chance to see these missions pop, also causing chaos wherever you can, shooting at people or fighting them will also help. Just be patient and at some point you’ll get a notification that one of your operative has been kidnapped for example and you’ll need to go rescue them to complete this revenge mission. An easy way to trigger this is to use the deep profiler to target people’s friends and family to ensure people will hate DedSec, it works best with Clan Kelley/Albion people (credits to danc).

Defeat a DedSec Adversary
This trophy is random, sometimes you’ll see blue icons on people on the streets, that means they are potential recruits and sometimes you’ll see red icons with the same image as the trophy tile, that means they are DedSec Adversaries. Whether they are harassing someone on your team, or want to kill someone on your team, or are just generally hating DedSec, if they have their icon next to them, kill or neutralize them and you’ll receive this trophy. Having many operatives or possible recruits on your team list increases the chances of seeing DedSec Adversaries in the game. If you happen to trigger a revenge mission, the target who kidnapped your operative will most likely be a DedSec Adversary. Another good way to trigger this, is to get killed by an enemy then swap to another operative and go where your previous operative died. The enemy that killed them will most likely be a DedSec Adversary now.
