Introduction:

Welcome to Watch Dogs 2, brought to you by Ubisoft. Watch Dogs 2 is an open-world adventure set in San Francisco. You explore as Marcus Holloway, who is part of a hacking group called Dedsec. You are joined by Wrench, Josh, Sitara, Horatio and Ray, and together you must try to take down Blume's operation.

The trophies in Watch Dogs 2 are a lot easier than its predecessor. They're mostly story-related trophies, along with a few collectible-related ones. There are four online trophies, but these shouldn't take that long to get.

To do the online trophies, make sure your preferences are set to ON. Once you are done, you can switch them all off to stop people jumping into your session. To do this, press to bring your phone out, then press on game options > settings > online preferences.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete the side missions (trophy related) as well as the main missions.

Here you want to only go through and enjoy the story. The game is designed with stealth in mind, so take this opportunity to explore the areas with the RC and Quadcopter plotting your routes to avoid being spotted. The stun gun is your main friend here, so I would highly advise getting the upgrade for it (Stun Amp Up in the Marksmanship tree).

If that isn't to your liking, there is always plan B going in with guns. However, a word of warning: you will likely die a lot, as you can only take up around 2-5 bullets before you are killed.

During this step, you will unlock the following trophies:

  • Who Am I
  • Put Your Damn Pants On
  • Roboteer
  • Knock You Out
  • Joined the Mile High Club
  • Picking Up the Pieces
  • Baby, I Got Your Money
  • Knight Ridden
  • No Place Like Haum
  • Informer
  • 100% Legit
  • Hypnotize
  • Old School Justice
  • Sabotage
  • Make Every Voice Count
  • The Itsy Bitsy Spider
  • You're On A Boat!
  • Leaks and Leaks
  • Hack the World

Step 2: Miscellaneous trophy clean up.

You will probably get some of these trophies while going through the main story missions. If for some reason you don't, then use this step to clean up any remaining miscellaneous trophies you are missing. Free roam is still available after finishing the main story.

During this step, you will unlock the following trophies:

  • Menace
  • In Style
  • DedSec-A-Roni
  • Only God Can Judge Me
  • Doggyland
  • Photobombed!
  • A Ride to Remember
  • Bad Boys
  • Something To Ride
  • Researcher
  • Smooth Felon
  • Miniroadtrip!
  • Jump Around
  • Earn your Sea Legs
  • Third Time's the Charm
  • Hold My Hair
  • Let Me Ride
  • Feeding Frenzy
  • Got The Shutterbug
  • One-Man Garage
  • App'ing Around
  • I Get Around
  • Ain't No Stopping

Step 3: Multiplayer.

All you should have left now are the online trophies (also possibly One of the Gang ) If you still have One of the Gang left, it's said that playing in co-op will make these events spawn, so use this step to try for this trophy as well. Other than that here you will be hacking, invading, doing bounties and playing a co-op mission.

During this step, you will unlock the following trophies:

  • One of the Gang
  • Natural Born Killer
  • Please Marcus, Don't Hurt Them
  • Hold My Hand
  • Troll'r
  • Graduation Day

Human Conditions DLC:

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 3/10 (personal opinion)
  • Offline trophies: 4 (4)
  • Online trophies: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to Platinum: 3-5 Hours (personal opinion)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1+
  • Number of missable trophies: 0
  • Glitched trophies: None
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No
  • Do trophies stack?: No
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No

Introduction:

Human Conditions is the first of 2 story DLCs for Watch Dog 2's and brings back a key NPC from Watch Dogs 1 (if you didn't know already it's uber-cool gangster Jordi Chin. It also features Lenni of Prime 8 from Watch Dog 2's main game. Human Conditions adds 3 new DLC Missions and 1 Online Mission. Each of the 4 new Missions has fleshed out storylines, cutscenes and voiced dialogue but all of them can be finished in 3-5 hours.

Walkthrough:

Even though the mission "Off The Hook" is deemed an Online Mission, it can actually be done offline and solo. Due to this, it's highly recommended that you do so offline and solo, as the game scales the difficulty upwards if you have a partner and having a partner might unnecessarily delay your progress towards the trophy. Without a good partner it's going to be that much harder to get Off The Hook done, particularly because Off The Hook's difficulty is quite high, with large numbers of enemies, particularly armoured ones. It's up to you whether you want to finish the DLC Missions first (which has about 4 to 5 sub-missions within each) or tackle the Online Mission (which has 10 minimum) first but for the Roadmap it is DLC Missions first.

Step 1: Finish the DLC Missions

There are 3 new DLC Missions, which the game has conveniently labelled "DLC Mission" to differentiate them from the already-available Side Missions. The 3 DLC missions are Automata, Caustic Progress and Bad Medicine. These missions are fairly straightforward and once you finish them and the followers tally appears, you will get your trophies:

  • Not The Pizza Guy
  • The Score of Your Life
  • Nanotriumph

Step 2: Finish the "Off The Hook" mission

For this final step, complete the Online Mission Off The Hook. It's an Online Mission but can be done offline and solo and it's highly recommended that you so, as having a team-mate scales the difficulty upwards and being online appears to screw up the progression of your own "Off The Hook" mission. As you complete each sub-mission, you will hear Wrench speak to you about the mission's progression. As the mission's progression is not linear, please check the trophy guide for specifics on how to properly progress through the mission without doing unnecessary sub-missions. The entire mission will culminate in the final sub-mission "All You Can Eat" and once you complete that, you will have completed "Off The Hook" and will get the trophy:

  • Prize Catch

Introduction:

An unfortunate series of events sees DedSec become embroiled in conflict with the Russian Mafia. Once again taking control of Marcus you will fight them off to see if DedSec can come out on top in this short but still enjoyable DLC. The DLC is simply one mission containing 4 parts so it isn't brimming with content but it is more of the same from the base game. You will enjoy this if you enjoyed the base game, and if you enjoy collecting trophies for your cabinet.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: The Mission

Just play the mission same as you would any mission from the base game. There aren't any new mechanics or tricks here, compared to the base game so nothing you won't already be aware of. Make sure you have the ability to drop IEDs from your drone, because you will want this for the third part of the mission (you don't need it but it will make things a hell of a lot easier).

That Escalated Quickly

  • Win every trophy

As ever, Collect every other trophy to add this platinum to your collection.

  • Erase your past identity in the Blume servers

Story related, and cannot be missed.

This is kind of like a short tutorial on how the game works. Your goal is to work your way through Blume's building towards a laptop from which you erase your identity. Afterwards, you will have to escape the building. Once done, the trophy will pop.

  • Buy some pants after the party

Story related, and cannot be missed.

Once Marcus has infiltrated the Blume Building, he will be accepted into Dedsec. After the beach party, Marcus will wake up to a phone call from Sitara. • Buy a two handed weapon at the 3D printer

You'll get introduced to the 3D printer as you need it to get the RC car. The 3D printer can be found at all Hackerspace HQ's. The printer is where you buy your weapons from (as well as the Quadcopter). Once by the printer, press then hover over one of the two weapon slots. To get this trophy out the way quickly, the cheapest purchase is the Bullet Hell Shotgun ($13,500). To buy it hold down

  • Buy the Gatorfeet Whine Country footwear

These can be bought from any Plainstock Clothing Stores all over the city. Simply fast travel to one, then once you are outside the store head towards the icon and then press Select shoes, and then scroll down until you see a pair of pink coloured shoes. To buy them hold down . The Gatorfeet Whine Country footwear will cost you $65.

  • Ride a cable car

Cable cars can be found all over the San Francisco area. Fast travel to one of the cities, and you will find them travelling around on rails. You can either wait for one/follow the rails until you see one. Once you see one to ride it press

However, cable cars like the following shown below are not rideable; you can only unlock this trophy on the red cable cars.

  • Buy a shirt in the Nudle vending machine

The Nudle building can be found in Silicon Valley. Fast travel to the building, and buy any shirt from any of the vending machines in the facility. You can also do this while you are on a mission, as you will be traveling to the Nudle building a few times during the story.

  • Pet 10 dogs

Dogs can be found anywhere around the map. They are most commonly found in parks such as Golden Gate Park. Once you've found a dog press You can pet the same dog 10 times to unlock this trophy.

  • Get photobombed in a selfie

Press and then select the camera from the menu. Once your camera is out, travel around until someone interrupts/makes a silly pose while you are taking a selfie. Once they interrupt you press to take a picture.

  • Drive one of the Unique Vehicles

There are 7 Unique Vehicles in the game. However, you only need to drive one of them in order for this trophy to unlock.

The Unique Vehicles are as follows:

    • Danger Mobile (Heavy Motors)
    • The Dangerzone (Performance Car)
    • Mountain King (Off-Road)
    • Wrecker (Muscle Car)
    • Rainbow Missle (Motorcycle)
    • Ice Cube (Sports Car)
    • Flip Wagon (Standard Vehicle)

To see where these vehicles are located on the map, you can refer to the following video below (credits to HarryNinetyFour).

These vehicles won't count towards your One-Man Garage trophy.

  • Hijack a boat

To hijack a boat, you first need to jump on it, then press To stop the boat you are hijacking, park your boat in its path.

Taking boats that are not moving (i.e docked on a pier) won't count for this trophy. The boats have to be moving.

  • Hijack a bus

Buses can be found all around the San Francisco Bay Area. Once you've found a bus/coach, block its path to force it to stop, then press to enter it. The buses/coaches need to be moving, not parked.

  • Collect all the Key Data hidden in the world

There are 24 Key Data to collect around the San Francisco Bay Area. They will be shown up on the map once you are in the vicinity. It's recommended to have the RC and Quadcopter available to you.

To get a pinpoint location, press > research > select the upgrade in question, then to show up on the map. Fast travel there (using the nearest option) and pull your Quadcopter out. Press to enter eagle vision to help you identify the area the Key Data is in.

Some of the Key Data will be in hostile zones. Some you will be able to simply pick up, while others will require you to hack and solve a puzzle. Note that you just have to pick up the data for this trophy to unlock; you don't need the upgrades that go with it.

You can refer to the visual reference below:

(Thanks to PS4Trophies for the video.)

  • Escape a Level 5 felony

I highly recommend going for this while going through the story missions, as there are two or three opportunities to get this.

You can use the Chopper Retreat Exploit Key Data upgrade to make life a little bit easier along with a fast car as well as the Engine Override upgrade (Nitro hold ).

Start by shooting civilians until around level 4, then once the Police you will get to level 5. At this point, use your Chopper Retreat Exploit upgrade along with your Nitro to escape the Police. Try to find garage doors that you can open and close to hide in while you are in escape mode.

To see this method in action, refer to the following video:

(Thanks to PS4Trophies for the video.)

  • Drive 4 km in the world while driving the Merengue from Elek Motors

You can either buy one from Elek Motors or hijack the car in question in order to gain this trophy. I would recommend you buy it, as it counts towards your 25 total; however, hijacking one will save you $43,125.

For a visual reference, see below:

  • Do a stealth takedown on 30 enemies

To perform a stealth takedown, press once close to the enemy. It's recommended to go stealth throughout your gameplay due to the cheapness of deaths you can endure. If you don't get this during your story run-through, then you can either visit hostile zones on the map (red areas) to farm them, or you can jump into co-op mode and farm there.

There is no in-game tracker for this.

  • Do a 140 meters long jump while driving a vehicle

There is only one place to perform this which is near the Colt Tower in the San Francisco Area. It's recommended you also have the fastest Motorcycle for this (the Sayonara) along with the Engine Override upgrade.

For a visual reference, see the following video below:

(Thanks to PS4Trophies for the video.)

There is another method for this trophy listed below, thanks to arcana75.

I got it from the end ramp of the Kirby Cove bike race. If u boost u will clear the bridge and land on the other side.

Here is another spot, thanks to OGRONIN.

Just wanted to mention also, I found another spot you can get the 140m jump trophy with no bike or upgrade needed. In the bike race Enduro. You hit a big stone ramp and have a very big drop. I sort of pulled up on the handlebars and got it 2nd time I did this race.

  • Do a sailboat race

You will need to purchase a sailboat in order to compete. This doesn't have to be the fastest sailboat, as all you need to do is complete (not win) the race in question, so you can buy the cheapest.

Once you've bought the sailboat, fast travel to any of the green boat icons and press to load up the race. Select Alcatraz Escape, as it's the quickest to complete.

Purchasing the boat will count towards your 25 vehicles bought.

  • Hack a robot

Robots will start to appear later on through the story. Once you see one, press and to hack it.

  • Make 3 jumps in a row aboard a vehicle

You will most likely get this while playing through the story. If you don't, San Francisco is the perfect place for this due to its downhill streets with humps in the road.

  • Take a picture of someone vomiting

This trophy requires some patience, and is best attempted during nighttime. Fast travel to the Bar located in Jack London Square located in Oakland, and keep looking for people drinking while staggering. If you see one, follow them with your phone out and if they lean forward in an L shape, quickly press to take a picture of them as they start vomiting.

  • Travel 200 meters on top of a car by hacking it

You will need to purchase the Vehicle Directional Hack from the research app (vehicle hacking tree) before you attempt this trophy. Once bought, head to the motorway or any straight piece of road jump on top of the vehicle and press and .

  • Complete 5 DedSec Events

    (Online)

These are random events that can occur during any point of your gameplay. You will know it's a DedSec Event due to it flashing in the top left-hand corner along with a purple icon on your mini map. More often than not, there will also be another real world player going after that same event. It doesn't matter who neutralises the target, so long as it's complete. Once you've completed this trophy, you can exit the online session from the game settings in the menu.

  • Neutralize 1 Hunter in Bounty Hunter mode

    (Online)

Bounty Hunter is a new mode in Watch Dogs, which is a PvP (Player vs Player) mode. Once you've triggered it from your phone, you will be tasked to escape the Police as well as killing the hunter. However, for this trophy to pop, you just need to kill the hunter.

The easiest way to complete it is to head to one of the Hackerspace HQs and trigger the Bounty Hunter app ( > Multiplayer > Bounty Hunter > Trigger a Bounty). Then simply hide in the HQ, and wait for your target to come.

Warning: It seems Ubisoft has patched this. You can't trigger a bounty while inside your HQ, and you can't go back in until you've finished the bounty. Thanks to TheViper4Life for pointing this out.

More often than not, the target will have another ally with him/her. Killing them will not count towards this trophy (it will be shown on the screen whether the hunter has an ally with them).

  • Successfully neutralize 5 fugitives in Bounty Hunter

    (Online)

The same as Natural Born Killer , but now the other way round where you are the hunter. In order to get the trophy, you have to get the final blow on the target. If the target is on foot, try to run them over for quick kills. Don't get out of the car, otherwise the Police will most likely get the final kill. Don't forget that other players will be after the same person, and the target can also have an ally/co-op partner with them.

To find a target, choose > Multiplayer > Bounty Hunter > Find a Target.

  • Successfully complete an online Co-op Operation

    (Online)

To launch co-op missions, press > Multiplayer > Online co-op. Once a game has been found, finish the level off in order to unlock this trophy. I'm unsure whether you have to complete the mission from start to finish, or if you can join midway through for this to pop.

Completing Dedsec Events counts towards this trophy as well.

  • Use the "Call the cops" hack on the donut-disguised man in Haight-Ashbury

You will need the upgrade APB: Suspect Located before you attempt this trophy. Once you have the upgrade, fast travel over to the Tie Dye Dude Kiosk in San Francisco. Once there, look behind you to find a Donut store along with a man dressed like a donut (he will spawn from around 8/9am onwards). Highlight him with then press to call the Police on him.

  • Successfully invade another hacker

    (Online)
To invade another player, press > Multiplayer > Hacking Invasion.

Once you are in the player's game and you are close/in their general vicinity, press to start the hack. Now the player will start running around trying to profile you. If you are found, you will have to escape the area. More often than not you will get profiled, but if you are patient enough you will come across a new player/player that is away from the console, making them an easy target.

To get a 100% profile, try to blend in with the surroundings. If you are driving, don't drive something that is uncommon. Also, drive normally. You can also park up on the side of the road and press to hide in the car, but this sometimes doesn't work, so keep on the move with the traffic, keeping in the area of the player.

For the hack to count it has to be 100%; you can't have a partial hack.

  • Take 25 ScoutX location pictures

You will have to buy the ScoutX app from the app store within your phone before you can attempt this trophy. Once bought, open it up and tab to the home screen (). In the home screen, you will find plenty of locations for you to take pictures of. Select a location to place a waypoint on the map. Fast travel there (using the nearest fast travel point) and pull your camera out to take the photo.

Some of them will only be available at certain times.

  • Buy 25 cars in car dealerships

You can buy cars at Total Motos and Auto Elite. The cheapest dealer is Total Motors. Fast travel to any one of them and head towards the icon. To buy cars, press to open the menu.

By the time the story ends, you should have enough cash to buy all these cars, but if for some reason you don't, there are money bags (blue $ icon on the map) scattered across San Francisco. Alternatively, you can do some quick races to make the extra money. Also, the items that you pick up from the gloveboxes of cars can be sold in the Pawn Shops.

Note: You can't buy the same car over and over again. Once bought, that car will be grayed out. You must buy 25 different cars.

Note: Buying boats counts towards this trophy.

  • Get all the eKart upgrades

Very early on in the story, you will come across a side mission to race in eKarts (small electric 1 seater cars).

After completing the Stanford Challenge, you will be required to do the following:

    • Acquire a better Battery.
    • Complete the Castro Challenge.
    • Acquire a better Processor (the trophy will unlock here).
    • Compete the Downtown Challenge.

In order for this to unlock, you don't need to finish first in any of the races; just complete them.

After this is complete, eKarts races will become available to you.

  • Buy all the apps in the App Shop

You can do this as soon as you wake up after the beach party.

There are 9 apps in total for you to buy:

    • Camera
    • Gallery
    • Directors Cut

You need to buy the Quadcopter from the 3D printer at any Hackerspace HQ before you can attempt this trophy. The Quadcopter will cost you $67,500. Using the nearest fast travel point in Dolores Park HQ, head to a guy who will make the drone races available to you.

The quickest one to complete will be The Palace course. You don't need to beat the time in order to unlock this trophy; just complete it.

  • Do a bike race

There are bikes races scattered across San Francisco. Fast travel to any one of them in order to start a race. Once there, press and you will be given a number of races, the quickest will be the Downtown Dash course. Complete (you don't have to win) the race in order to unlock the trophy.

Note: You don't need a bike in order to complete this trophy.

Secret trophies

  • Finish Operation: Shadow

Story related, and cannot be missed - Side Operation

The Dedsec crew realizes that many of their followers are just one person. They find out its !Nvite, so Marcus has to infiltrate the building to find out something is wrong. Blume's CEO then approaches Marcus after the conversation, he calls the Police in which Marcus needs to escape the building. Once escaped Dedsec cools down and attends a festival where they enter a competition to win it.

  • Finish Operation: Ubistolen

Story related, and cannot be missed - Side Operation

Whether this is an easter egg I don't know. The trailer in question was never shown at E3.

This is a side mission in the game where the operation intel can be found in Silicon Valley near the Nudle building. However, the person in question can spawn in different places.

Once you've gained the intel, Marcus then has to hack a server and you will be shown a new game trailer (of sort).

  • Trigger the hack of the century

Story related, and cannot be missed.

This is the final mission of the game. You will get a point of no return notice; however, once the mission has finished, and the credits have rolled, you will be returned to free roam to carry on doing whatever you please.

DLC: Human Conditions

4 trophies

  • Finish Operation: Bad Medicine

    Story related and unmissable.

This mission brings back Jordi Chin from Watch Dogs 1 and features a fun final showdown on a luxury yacht owned by a Russian hacker. Enjoy Jordi's dry and violent humour as you help him track down the Russian but once the mission is complete, the trophy will pop.

  • Finish Operation: Automata

    Story related and unmissable.

This mission has you fooling around with Nudle and its attempt at a biometrics car but after the mission is completed, the trophy will pop.

Note: You will also get a new car to use whenever you want it.

  • Finish Operation: Caustic Progress

    Story related and unmissable.

This mission brings back Lenni as you help her uncover a plot by a medical firm to peddle nanotechnology onto unsuspecting hobos. You will have to listen to Lenni's usual sexual harassment and vulgarities but once the mission is complete, the trophy will pop.

  • Finish Operation: Off the Hook

    Online or Offline and unmissable.

This is an Online Mission and is about DedSec going after a legendary hacker named Hook but you can and should do this Offline and solo because having a co-op partner increases the number and strength of enemies in the restricted zones & reinforcements. The game tracks the mission progress for both you and your co-op partner but and if anyone's progress is behind the other's, their progress will be delayed until both players have done the requisite sub-missions to trigger the final sub-mission. If you trigger the All You Can Eat mission prematurely, then the game will replace it with another random sub-mission.

This Online Mission has 10 sub-missions each with a unique name, and the game will randomly select 2 sub-missions for you to choose as you progress. Without tracking which sub-mission you've done, you will inadvertently repeat some sub-missions you've done before. Since the game doesn't keep track of which sub-mission you have and haven't done, you will have to track them manually. The 10 sub-missions are as follows (full credit to MOBEEF79 for tracking the list):

    1. Cars and Codes - Steal data drive and steal and deliver vehicle.
    2. Against the Clock - Stop 3 data purges and steal data drive.
    3. Streamroller - Destroy 3 stashes and download data.
    4. Smash and Grab - Destroy 3 stashes and free prisoner.
    5. A Friend in Need - Free prisoner and download data.
    6. Break Out, Break In - Free prisoner and escort them to download data.
    7. Wrecking Deals, Stealing Wheels - Destroy 3 stashes and steal and deliver vehicle.
    8. The Road to Ruin - Download data and steal and deliver vehicle.
    9. Yours Is Mine - Steal 2 data drives and destroy 3 stashes.

The above 9 sub-missions are the unique sub-missions you have to complete, before the 10th sub-mission will spawn for you. When the final sub-mission spawns, the Online Mission Off The Hook will stop giving you 2 sub-missions to choose from and just give you the one i.e. All You Can Eat:

    10. All You Can Eat - Download data and steal 2 data drives (targets may try to escape).

At times you may be given 2 choices that you've already done. If this is the case, simply quit the game and reload to refresh the choices. You don't have to do all the sub-missions in one sitting, just keep playing until you've done all 9 sub-missions and All You Can Eat will appear. Complete that and the trophy is yours.

DLC: NO COMPROMISE

1 trophies

  • Finish Operation: Moscow Gambit

Story related and cannot be missed.

The Moscow Gambit mission contains 4 parts. Complete them all to earn this trophy. Being able to drop IEDs from your drone will make this third part of this mission much easier.

    • Part 1 - Hacking based mission.
    • Part 2 - Stealth escape (or just battle your way to freedom)
    • Part 3 - Destruction mission. Use the drone to drop IEDs on your targets to make this super easy.
    • Part 4 - Evasion mission. Keep driving and don't get caught. Once this is done you need to steal a boat from enemy territory to complete the mission.

DLC: Showd0wn

1 trophies

  • Reach the maximum win streak bonus in Showd0wn

Showd0wn is a mixture of activities and can be found on the map below:

The following list of activities are:

    • Protect/hack the servers
    • Steal the HDD
    • king-of-the-hill style Doomload

The description for this is a bit misleading, because you need at least 4 wins in a row in order to pop this trophy. If you have a decent partner/random then this shouldn't be a problem.

However, there is a nice little trick to keep your win streak intact.

If you find yourself losing with a few minutes to spare, back out to the XMB via the button on your controller. Once at the XMB, just load the game back up and continue where you left off. This may take a couple of attempts depending on the oppositions skill level. Sometimes you may get lucky where you will only be up against 1 with the other AFK (away from keyboard). If you find this is the same case with your team (if not with a boosting partner), then back out to the XMB.

Credit to ReaperReborn for posting this method and confirming that it is still working to this day.
