Welcome to Vampyr! You play the role of Dr. Jonathan Reid, whose world was turned (get it?) upside down. You will spend your time trying to find out who is the one that made you, along with trying to heal the residents of the districts and try and stop this strange flu going on.

Be prepared to be hunted down by Vampire Hunters while you make your journey. Are you going to give into your vampire tendencies by feeding off of innocent citizens to gain more power, or can you resist your hunger?

** Infinite XP Glitch** (Disabled by patch 1.04)

There is a glitch in the game that can give you infinite XP. To do this, you will need an external keyboard. Plug in the keyboard to your PS4 and rest in a bed. This will bring up your skill upgrades. Select an upgrade and then hold down O and P on the keyboard. This will continue to add XP to you until you let go. You can do this at any point in the game as long as you are on the upgrade screen.

There are two different ways to go about this. You can go for the single playthrough, where you will need to make two backup saves or you can do two playthroughs. If you choose to go through the single playthrough, here are the two points where you should make a backup save:
  • As soon as you get off Dr. Swansea’s boat when you arrive at the hospital for the first time. Choose to embrace Clay and then load your backup save and then choose to release him.
  • Start of Chapter 6. Finish off your collectables that involve killing citizens and then sleep and ensure all the districts turn hostile, then load up your backup and continue on with the game.
If you wish to do the two playthrough method, here is how I suggest going about it.

Step 1: Kill All Humans

Here you will want to focus on all the trophies besides the Merciful release and Not Even Once, as they are for not killing any NPCs. I suggest you wait at least until Chapter 6 before you start hunting down the collectables obtained from the NPCs, as by then your mesmerise level will be high enough to affect everyone needed.

Make sure to continually heal people who get sick and do the side quests as that will raise the health of the districts. You do not want the districts to go into “hostile” health before you are ready, as people will go missing and start dying, which will make obtaining certain collectables impossible. Also, make sure to save anyone who is in need of help (which a side quest will start) when you are running around, as if you leave them they can die and you will lose out on collectables. Warning: Under no circumstances should you read the note that Usher Talltree asks you to retrieve during the Pandora's Box mission, else you will lock yourself out of a highly missable collectible and the Lore keeper trophy_silver.png trophy.

Here you should earn:

Pest control
Unlife is strange
The tools of the profession
Keep your distance
Weapons of choice
Lore keeper
Hippocratic oath
That's better
Work in progress
Solid metal gear
Anarchy in the UK
From here to eternity
At dawn we row
Just take a bite
Bloody roots
Interview with the vampire
Sacrificial lamb
Prepare to die
The Dying Swansea
A taste for blood
Defeat the beast
Hail Mary
Death on stage
Bury the hatchet
Unnatural Disaster
London's burning

Step 2: Spare All Humans

You should only have two trophies left:

Merciful release
Not Even Once

Time for your no kill run. You CANNOT play this run on Story difficulty. If you do, the trophy Not Even Once will not unlock. If you missed any other trophies, now is the time to focus on them. Make sure to make the right choices during your main quests to not kill anyone, and do not embrace any of the NPCs. You will be under leveled throughout the game, making it more difficult to progress, so keep your weapons upgraded and also keep serums on you when needed.

After going through the first run, you should know what to expect and where to go, making this a quick run. Just blow through the story and get your remaining trophies.

Congratulations! You’ve earned all the trophies.
  • Eat 10 rats

Rats are able to be found almost anywhere, but the easiest place to find them is outside of your hideouts. To spot them easier, use your senses by pressing and you will see the rats light up red. When you walk up to them, you’ll see a prompt with the vampire teeth. Press to drain the rats of their blood.
  • Save this poor plant with water

When you first arrive in your room in the hospital during the main quest “Take me to a Hospital”, there will be a dying plant on a stool. You will need to obtain the item pure water, which can be gathered in the West-End, which you will explore in Chapter 4. One you get the water, go back to your room in the hospital and give it to the plant. It will take 3 nights for it to grow.

    **Missable**

Warning: Under no circumstances should you read the note that Usher Talltree asks you to retrieve during the Pandora's Box mission, else you will lock yourself out of a highly missable collectible and this trophy trophy.

You will need to kill civilians to obtain the collectables. This can be missed, due to if a district turns hostile, named NPCs will die and you will lose your chance to obtain the collectables from them. So keep an eye on the districts to ensure they do not fall below 50%, as NPCs will start to go missing and get lost, never to be found again. If they are getting close, heal some of the NPCs to raise the percentage and do their side quests. Your choices in the main quest line will also affect the health of the districts. The districts will update when you sleep at night, so keep that in mind.

The video shows you all the collectables to get without killing any of the NPCs up until Chapter 6. If you are going for a single playthrough, make a backup save to the cloud or a USB drive when you start Chapter 6. Finish off the rest of the collectables and load your backup save to continue on.
  • Heal 10 citizens

You will need to speak to citizens to discover if they are healthy or have an illness. While talking to them, you can hit to see if they have an illness. Once you’ve met them, you can see if they develop any illnesses in the overview of the districts in the main menu. You can also use your “sight” by pressing and it will show you if they are sick or not.

To cure them, you’ll need to craft a treatment. You will need to discover the treatments by finding formula documents to analyze. Then you will need to gather the ingredients and go to a crafting bench to make them. To administer the treatment, go speak with them, and press to do a medical check-up. This will give you the option to give them the treatment. They do not have to be fully cured for it to count, they only need to be in the recovery process for it to count towards the trophy. Once you sleep, they will be cured, as well as make the % of the district's health go slightly up.

You start out with the knowledge to make a treatment for fatigue, anemia, and sepsis. An Enigmatic Formula blueprint is found in a drawer at the end of the morgue where the workbench is. This will allow you to make a treatment for a cold, bronchitis, and pneumonia. To get the last three, you must spare Nurse Crane, and then you can buy the remaining treatments off her. Otherwise you can find the blueprints for the treatments on a corpse in the cemetery.
  • Upgrade a weapon with a module

Once you have enough crafting components to upgrade your weapon, go to a bench of choose a weapon to upgrade. Once upgraded, you’ll have the ability to add modifications to it if you posses the correct components. Choose one of the available upgrades that you prefer. They will vary depending on the type of weapon you choose.
  • Upgrade a weapon

    See Solid metal gear.
  • Upgrade a weapon to level 5

To upgrade a weapon, you will need to visit a workbench at any hideout. Make sure to loot everything you come across, as you will need a lot of components to fully upgrade a weapon. Later on in the game, you can also find some rarer weapons, that will start out at level 4, so you only have to upgrade them once.
If you are short on components, some of the merchants that are marked on your map may sell what you need.
  • Turn a district to hostile status

    See London's burning.

Secret trophies

  • Go to the Shelter and rest…

    Story related, cannot be missed.
This will unlock at the end of the prologue.

This will unlock in Chapter 1, at the end of the main quest “Eternal Thirst”.
  • Embrace Clay during your first meeting with him

Story related, but can be missed.

    See Merciful release.
  • Let Clay live during your first meeting with him

Story related, but can be missed.

I suggest making a backup save as soon as you get off Dr. Swansea’s boat when you arrive at the hospital, on either a USB device or on the cloud storage.

When you start making your way to the hospital after you get off the boat, you’ll run into Clay. It will have you mesmerise him and then lead him to a dark area to either embrace him or release him. Choose to embrace him to obtain the trophy Just take a bite and then exit out of the game and use your backup save to overwrite the main save. Load up the game again and choose to release Clay for this trophy.

If you choose to go with embracing Clay for your playthrough, know that it will count against you for the game-spanning trophy Not even once, as you will have killed Clay.
  • Find the recollection of Paulus Aurelianus

    **Missable**

Warning: Under no circumstances should you read the note that Usher Talltree asks you to retrieve during this mission, else you will lock yourself out of a highly missable collectible and the Lore keeper trophy_silver.png trophy.

To start this, you will need to get the side quest “Pandora’s Box” from Usher Talltree. You must gather all the paper collectables in order to decipher a puzzle using pressure plates that will unlock hidden room that is located next to Usher Talltree. Once deciphered, step on the plates in the correct order, which will then open up the passage to where you can obtain the weapon.
  • Take care of Dorothy's fate

This will unlock in Chapter 5, at the completion of the main quest “Science without conscience”.
  • Complete the game

    Story related, cannot be missed.
This will unlock in Chapter 7, at the end of the main quest "Healthy Carrier".
  • Finish the game without killing any citizens (not unlockable in Story Mode)

    **Missable**

The people that count towards this trophy are any named NPCs who are displayed in your district status menu, along with the ones in your main quest line. You can kill any enemies that are aggressive towards you; you are even able to drain them of their blood. As long as you don’t mesmerise and embrace any named NPCs, and don’t kill any of the main characters in your quest lines when given a choice, you’ll be fine.

Here is a list of the choices you should make during your main quest that will avoid killing and be the best for the district's health:
    • Chapter 1: Release Clay during the main quest “Take me to a Hospital” instead of embracing him.
    • Chapter 2: Spare Dorothy during the main quest “Blackmail in Whitechapel”.
    • Chapter 3: Turn Sean during the main quest “Give a dog a bad name”.
    • Chapter 5: Charm Aloysius during the main quest “Unnatural Selection”.
    • Chapter 5: Spare McCullum during the quest “And by the sword you die”.
    • Chapter 5: Turn Dr. Swansea during the quest “Science without conscience”.
  • Defeat Fergal

    Story related, cannot be missed.
This will unlock in Chapter 3, during the quest “Give a dog a bad name”.
  • Defeat Mary

    Story related, cannot be missed.
This will unlock in Chapter 3, during the main quest “Burying the past”.
  • Defeat Doris

    Story related, cannot be missed.
This will unlock in Chapter 4, during the main quest “Grand Guignol”.
  • Defeat McCullum

    Story related, cannot be missed.
This will unlock in Chapter 5, during the quest “And by the sword you die”.
  • Defeat The Disaster

    Story related, cannot be missed.
This will unlock in Chapter 6, at the end of the main quest "Guinea Pig".
  • Turn all districts to hostile status

To turn a district hostile, you will have to get it below 50% into the “hostile” health status and mesmerise and embrace at least one NPC. You can check the status of a district in the Citizen Menu. This will be followed up by a newsletter, along with massive amounts of people in the district dying when you sleep. Not curing people's illnesses, killing NPCs, and certain choices you make in the main quests will have negative effects and drop the percentages of the districts. You must sleep in order for the percentage to change.

This is best done with the trophy Lore keeper, as you will have to kill multiple citizens from each district, which will grant you the hostile status of all the districts for this trophy. Plus, if a district turns hostile before you gather all the collectables from it, they will be unobtainable.
