Undertale is a critically acclaimed role playing game originally released for Steam in 2015, developed and published by Toby Fox. You play as a child who has fallen into an area known as the "Underground", a region lost to civilization which is heavily populated by monsters. Along your journey you'll meet and befriend monsters while looking for a way to escape Underground and return home. The game hinges on your decisions during combat, where you have the options to Spare or Kill monsters: your choices during battles heavily influence the story and the world around you.

Trophy-wise, Undertale is a very easy Platinum to obtain, as half of the trophies in the game are story-related and come naturally as you play. The other half of the trophies are tied to Donating to a shrine in the game, requiring you to donate a total of 350G to this shrine in order to unlock all of the related trophies. 350G is a negligible amount of money though, as enemies encountered in the later areas of the game usually drop 100s of gold each encounter. You can obtain the Platinum before you even beat the game! The only thing that can really be considered a challenge is learning how to dodge each enemy's "bullet hell"-esque attacks, as they can be difficult to avoid at first.

Patch 1.04: In the 1.00 version of Undertale the trophy Like Getting Items did not unlock for some users, while the other related trophies did. The 1.04 patch corrects this issue, so make sure you have it installed before playing.

General Tips:

Despite the Gold needed to obtain the "Donation" trophies, don't worry about saving up early in the game. Feel free to spend your Gold on equipment and healing items as needed, it can be tough to survive some battles early on since you'll have low health.
Since the type of playthrough you're going for (Pacifist/Genocide) has no bearing on the trophies, I would suggest killing most of the enemies in your path. In conjunction with the bullet hell attacks, figuring out how to spare each enemy can make the game more difficult than it needs to be in regards to obtaining the Platinum, especially since later enemies will require you to meet more complex conditions in order to use the "Mercy" option.

Step 1: Play through the game up until you reach Hotlands Floor 2, while sparing Papyrus

Since a good number of trophies are tied to reaching certain save points in the game, feel free to play through the game as you want. Nothing is missable so long as you remember to spare Papyrus during your battle against him. Continue playing normally up until you reach the elevator in Hotlands that will allow you to reach the second floor. Instead of doing that, take it to the first floor of Hotlands instead. At this point in the game, you should have over 350G to get the donation trophies; if you don't, then you can grind out the enemies here as they drop a good amount of gold.

At the end of this step, you will have earned the following trophies:

Step 2: Donate 350G to the Dog Shrine, then return back to Hotlands and reach the Core

Take the ferry located south of the first save point in Hotlands to Snowdin, then return to Papyrus' house and go to the kitchen so that you can donate to the Dog Shrine (refer to Dognation Level 15 for more information on Donating). Once you've donated the 350G, return back to Hotland and continue onwards past the Second floor until you reach the Core. You only need to reach the second save point in the Core in order to unlock the Platinum - congratulations!

After Toriel leaves you to attend some errands, head east into the next room, which has a save point to your right. Go through the door to the north of this room, and you will find candy on a pedestal in the middle of the room. You can take exactly four pieces of candy, which is enough to unlock this trophy and the lower tiered trophies.

Note: If you're playing on Hard Mode, you can only take three pieces of candy from the pedestal. In this case, the soonest you could obtain a fourth item is if you buy something from the spider bakery after the Napstablook encounter, or by taking the pie slice after you've slept at Toriel's home.
Ruins

Enter the .
Story related, cannot be missed

Once you are saved by Toriel from Flowey, follow her into the ruins. Once she unlocks the door in front of you by triggering the switches to your right, this trophy will unlock.
Mouse

Reach the mouse hole in the Ruins.
Story related, cannot be missed

After you've solved the "hole room" puzzle (the leaves on the bottom floor of this room show how you're supposed to walk on the top floor without falling through) and moved the rocks on switch to remove the spikes blocking your way, proceed through the door. To your left will be a mouse hole and to the right is a save point. This trophy will unlock shortly after you enter the room.
Exodus

Arrive at Snowdin.
Story related, cannot be missed

After you get past Toriel and exit the ruins, keep walking in the snow forest until you're introduced to Sans and Papyrus. Once the cutscene finishes and you regain control over your character, this trophy will unlock.
Manna

Get to the Spaghetti save point in Snowdin.
Story related, cannot be missed

As you get farther into Snowdin, Sans and Papyrus will give you different puzzles to solve once you reach certain rooms. The second puzzle will be a crossword. Once this cutscene finishes, proceed to the room ahead and you will find a plate of spaghetti sitting on a table. Yhe trophy will unlock shortly after.
Midpoint

Arrive at Waterfall.

After the Papyrus boss battle in Snowdin (don't forget to spare him), proceed to the right until you reach a waterfall cave area. The trophy will unlock shortly after you enter here.
Rain

Reach the place where it rains.
Story related, cannot be missed

As you reach the end of the waterfall cave area, shortly after you complete the Piano puzzle that involved using an umbrella on the statue in the previous room, you'll reach a long rainy hallway and unlock the trophy.
Final Stretch

Enter Hotland.
Story related, cannot be missed

After completing the "Trivia Game" given to you by Mettaton in Alphys' Laboratory, continue walking outside until you reach a conveyor belt and the trophy will unlock.
Final Stretch II

Reach Hotland 2F.
Story related, cannot be missed

Shortly after completing the Mettaton cooking show and the jetpack minigame, head outside and continue north until you reach an elevator. Enter the elevator and choose "Right Floor 2." Once you get off the elevator, this trophy will unlock.

You will want to unlock all the donation trophies prior to unlocking this one.
Final Stretch III

Reach Hotland 3F.
Story related, cannot be missed

Once you've defused all of the moving bombs that Mettaton planted throughout the second floor of Hotland, continue east until you reach another elevator. Enter it and select "Left Floor 3." Once you get off the elevator, this trophy will unlock.

Muffet Boss Battle Note: Soon after you finish exploring the 3rd floor of Hotlands, you'll reach Muffet's lair and will engage in a battle with her. Note that if you purchased something from any of the spider bake sales located in either the Ruins or Hotlands, you can skip this fight entirely. Using any of the goods as soon as the battle starts will make Muffet notice that you were a customer, and she will stop the fight.

Reach the second save point in the CORE.
Story related, cannot be missed

Once you've entered the Core, Alphys will guide you through the Core (with incorrect advice). After the second laser sequence where Alphys repeatedly turns the lasers on and off, continue to the north and you will reach the "Core Branch" save point. To continue with the story, you must go to the north and west to activate switches to unlock the elevator on this floor.

For the purpose of this trophy though, you can simply head east, north, then east across the bridge again to enter the room containing the second save point, which will unlock this trophy.
Dognation Level 1

Donate 2G to the Dog Shrine.
On your first visit to the shrine, once you've donated 2G this trophy will unlock. For more information on the Dog Shrine refer to Donation Level 15.
Dognation Level 2

Donate 6G to the Dog Shrine.
On you second visit to the Shrine you will be able to donate 4G, once you've done so this trophy will unlock. For more information on the Dog Shrine refer to Donation Level 15.
Dognation Level 3

Donate 12G to the Dog Shrine.
On your third visit to the Shrine you will be able to donate 6G, once you've done so this trophy will unlock. For more information on the Dog Shrine refer to Donation Level 15.
Dognation Level 4

Donate 20G to the Dog Shrine.

Missable

The Dog Shrine is a Playstation exclusive room added to the PS4 and PS Vita ports of Undertale. You can access the Shrine by sparing Papyrus during his boss battle. Afterwards, return to his house. Enter the kitchen and examine the kitchen sink; doing so will cause a dog to jump out and open a pathway to the Dog Shrine. In this shrine you can donate specific amounts of gold in order to add additional items to the shrine, and to unlock the respective trophies associated with donating.

The catch to this is that you can only donate 1 gold per dialog, and only a certain amount of Gold per shrine visit. So for example, when you visit the shrine for the first time you can only deposit a total of 2G, and you must talk to the dog again to donate the second gold. From there you must exit the room and continue donating gold in the same fashion. On your fifteenth and last visit to the Shrine you will be able to Donate 70G; do so to unlock this trophy.

You can make the donation process go faster by rapidly pressing and at the same time near the shrine. You should have enough gold saved up to donate to the shrine before you take the elevator up to Hotlands Floor 2, as many enemies in this area give out generous amounts of gold. Take the elevator back to Left Floor 1 and ride the Ferry back to Snowdin in order to Donate.

Note: If you kill Papyrus you must reload your save, as if you kill him the location of the Dog Shrine will change to the garbage dump area in the waterfall section. What's more, you won't be able to donate to it, preventing you from obtaining the donation related trophies.
