Introduction

(NOTE: This trophy guide is written from the perspective of the North American and European PS3 release, which in turn was based on the patch that the Japanese version received in October of 2014)

Welcome to Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late (In-Birth is pronounced as In-Verse), one of the newer fighting games developed by French Bread and Ecole, the creators of the Melty Blood series. Originally released in 2012 in Japanese arcades and using the Sega Ringedge 2 hardware, the game eventually made its debut in North America and Europe in February of 2015 courtesy of Arc System Works.

The game features a unique cast of sixteen fighters, with two of them (Eltnum and Akatsuki) being guests from other fighting games i.e. Melty Blood and Akatsuki Blitzkampf. In addition, the game also includes some of the easiest trophies for a fighting game yet. The obstacles are the combo challenges that you have to do for each of the game's sixteen characters but keep in mind that some of the combo challenges for each character are different between the original Japanese release and the patched version (released three months afterwards) that was included when the game launched in North America and Europe.

Button Configuration:
If you have played games like BlazBlue, Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, or Marvel vs. Capcom 3 with a standard PS3 controller or a fightpad, you should be familiar with the controls for Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late; you can change them at any time by going to "Options" -> "Controller Settings" or you can access them in-game while paused:

A (Weak Attack): :square:
B (Medium Attack): :triangle:
C (Strong Attack): :circle:
D (EXS): :cross:

Unmapped Inputs:
Much like other fighting games, there will be commands that are not bound to any button of the controller or fightpad you are using. You can easily bind these to :l1:, :l2:, :r1:, or :r2: for easy shortcuts to specific game mechanics so you don’t have to press any of the buttons at the same time.

A+D (Throw): Usually :square:+:cross:
B+C (Force Function): Usually :triangle:+:circle:
A+B+C (Veil Off): Usually :square:+:triangle:+:circle:
A+B+C+D (Infinite Worth EXS): Usually :square:+:triangle:+:circle:+:cross:

Walkthrough

As with most other fighting games, each trophy can be obtained in whichever order you wish to do them in but I highly recommend doing them in the order described below since some trophies can prove to be challenging if you are new to this game or don't really play fighting games often. The first trophy you will unlock for this game is (B) Welcome to the Jungle

Step 1: Arcade Mode
In Arcade Mode you will be fighting through ten stages across the game's roster of sixteen characters, all of whom have their own unique trophies but there's also one that you will unlock if you complete them all from start to finish. The following trophies will be unlocked when you complete this step:

(B)(H) Hyde and Seek
(B)(H) Perpendicular Linne
(B)(H) Around the Wald
(B)(H) Rein in Blood
(B)(H) I Rule
(B)(H) Whose Scythe Are You On?
(B)(H) The Labors of Merkules
(B)(H) The Nerve of That Woman!
(B)(H) Game, Seth, Match
(B)(H) Lemme Take a Selfie
(B)(H) Two Shades Of Grey
(B)(H) Ms. Eltnum, Tear Down This Wall!
(B)(H) Life Finds a Way
(B)(H) Ein Krieg Für Sieg
(B)(H) Don't You Tsundare!
(B)(H) If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It
(S)(H) Sunrise

Step 2: Challenge Modes
Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late has three challenge modes that pit you up for a high score in the online leaderboards for each of them. Using the tips provided in each of their respective trophies you will be able to go through these without much trial and error. The following trophies will be unlocked upon completion of this step:

(G) Attack on Score
(G) Time Heals All Wounds...Hopefully
(G) ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!

Step 3: Network Modes
Thankfully, unlike most other fighters, this game only features two online trophies i.e one for completing a ranked match and the other for watching a replay. Unfortunately, the online activity for this game is not as active as it was when this game was originally released in Japan so I highly recommend using the Trophy Boosting Thread to find a partner to play a ranked match with. You will unlock the following two trophies upon completing this step:

(B) The Net is Vast and Infinite (Glitched in the NA version)
(B) I Wanna Be in Pictures! (Glitched in the NA version)

Step 4: Character Combo Challenges
Each of the game's sixteen characters have a combo challenge of their own that requires the player to meet specific conditions in order for them to unlock each of these trophies. For each of the character combo challenges in the game, you will need to have the follow options set in Training Mode if you want to complete them without much trial and error. I also recommend having Waldstein as your training dummy due to the size of his hitbox, as well as disabling each recovery option to make juggling the opponent easier for some of these combos. (Credit to deavil for these tips)

  • EXS Gauge: Always Maximum
  • GRD Gauge: Player Vorpal
  • Counter Hit: Depending on the character, you should set it to either "Counter" or "High Counter"
Upon completion of this step, the following trophies will be unlocked:

(B) Dr. Jekyll
(B) By Any Other Name
(B) Between a Stein and a Hard Place
(B) Thicker Than Water
(B) Welcome to Heel
(B) Purple Harvest
(B) It's Hard Merk
(B) Nerve Us
(B) Are You Up Seth?
(B) Rezoning
(B) Over the Hilda
(B) Can I Go Now?
(B) Theoretically
(B) Blitz off More than You Could Chew
(B) Nanansense
(B) I'll Be Byak

Step 5: Other Misc. Trophies
This is basically your cleanup phase, where you will need to clean up any remaining trophies you have leftover on your path to the Platinum. Some of these trophies relate to the game's mechanics and others to spending the IP you have accumulated as you play through the game but since one of the trophies require you to hold a specific number of IP all at once, I highly recommend unlocking that trophy before spending any for the other trophies.

Upon completion of this step, the following trophies will be unlocked:

(B) Raise Shields!
(B) En-Chain-Ting
(B) Time for The Unveiling
(B) Could This Get Any Worth?
(S) Everything in EXS
(B)(H) Infinite Monkeys
(B)(H) But for Real Though
(B) You Half to Trust Me
(S) There's a Whole in My Heart
(B) Can't Buy Happiness
(B) Got Carded
(B) Living in Color
(B)(H) Piece of Cake
(P)(H) Thanks for Playing! (Glitched in the NA version)

53 trophies ( 46  22  )

  • Perform a Shield (Cannot be done in Training Mode, VS Mode, VS CPU Modes, and Network Modes) Activate the shield with a Block direction + D. When successfully executed, it pushes you farther away from the opponent, and increases the GRD Gauge. In a pinch? Try to get out using this technique!

Shields are a defensive mechanic which, if timed correctly, can be used to push you back from an opponent whenever you feel that you are at a disadvantage during the match. This is similar to barrier blocking in BlazBlue or Advancing Guards in the Marvel vs. Capcom games.
  • Perform a Chain Shift (Cannot be done in Training Mode, VS Mode, VS CPU Modes, and Network Modes) Quickly press the D Button twice during Vorpal situations to cause a Chain Shift to occur. Depending on how much GRD Gauge there is, the EXS Gauge will increase. So, try using it after long-pressing the D Button to increase your GRD Gauge. Also, Chain Shift can be activated in the middle of certain Special Attacks, which will reduce the time during which you're vulnerable. This is your chance to create some original combos by launching opponents!

Chain Shift is a mechanic where you can quickly cancel an attack during the middle of a combo to extend them and create those that deal more damage and hits than usual. Your EXS Gauge will also increase depending on how many squares are filled in your side of the GRD Gauge. To execute a Chain Shift: Press twice, as quickly as you can as long as the GRD Gauge (the gauge in the bottom center corner between each player's EXS Gauge) shows that you have the advantage, this will indicate whether or not you can activate it but if the opponent has the advantage then they will be able to activate it instead.
  • Perform a Veil Off (Cannot be done in Training Mode, VS Mode, VS CPU Modes, and Network Modes) When the EXS Gauge is over 100%, press the A+B+C Buttons to perform a Veil Off. While Veil Off is active, damage output is increased by 20%, and EX Special attacks, Infinite Worth, and Infinite Worth EXS (less than 30% HP) become available. Furthermore, the moment Veil Off is activate, the enemy will be knocked backwards and you will gain invincibility. Turn the tables when the enemy is pressuring you.

Veil Off mode is a state where you have an increased damage output and gain access to more of your character's special attacks without having to max out your meter in the EXS Gauge (which is 200%). To activate Veil Off mode: You need to have at least 100% of meter in your EXS Gauge, then press , and at the same time to activate it. If done correctly, you will now see an aura around your character but if you do it close enough to your opponent then it will blow them away from you and will be followed by a wall bounce. While in Veil Off mode, you can also use EX special moves at least three times because the gauge depletes while it's active.

When you are going for this trophy, keep in mind that you can only unlock it in Arcade Mode.
  • Perform an Infinite Worth (Cannot be done in Training Mode, VS Mode, VS CPU Modes, and Network Modes) Execute the command, ←↙↓↘→+D (character facing right), with 200% EXS or while Veil Off is active. This is the ultimate Super Attack that consumes ALL remaining EXS. Make it count, Infinite Worth!

Infinite Worth moves are unique attacks that serve the game's Super Special moves. They are similar to those of Super Arts in Street Fighter, Desperation Moves in The King of Fighters and Distortion Drives in BlazBlue. Each character has one Infinite Worth move that is unique to them and they can be used as combo enders in normal gameplay.

In order to perform them, you will need to have either a full EXS Gauge or have Veil Off mode active during the match, then tap +, during Infinite Worth moves, an animated cut-in of the character you are playing as will appear along with the background being changed for the duration of the attack.
  • Used every character's Infinite Worth EXS. (Cannot be done in Training Mode, VS Mode, VS CPU Modes, and Network Modes)

nfinite Worth EXS moves are attacks that serve as the game's "Instant Kill" attacks despite not doing as much damage to warrant the character's victory in the round.

To perform these attacks, you will need to have at least 30% of your health or lower, along with having a full EXS Gauge or Veil Off mode being active, then press , , and at the same time. If done correctly, a pillar of light will appear around the player and if it makes contact with the opponent, the same cut-in and background from a normal Infinite Worth will appear alongside the attack. Keep in mind that this attack cannot be used in combos often, as the requirements prevent it from doing so but you can link to them with a standard attack.

In the case of this trophy, you will need to use the Infinite Worth EXS attack for all sixteen characters in Arcade mode but keep in mind that you cannot go for this trophy in any of the other modes mentioned in the description.
  • Played back a replay in Replay Mode.

(GLITCHED (NA version only)) (Online Multiplayer)

In order to play a replay, you will need to first save it after you have completed an online match, whether it came from a ranked or a player match does not matter as long as you can save it with :start: after the end of a match. After you have saved any replays, you will need to head to Replay Mode and select the replay you wish to watch. The trophy will unlock after it starts.
  • Scored over 300,000,000 in Score Attack Mode.

Score Attack Mode, pits the player through ten stages as they fight them to achieve a high score at the end of their run (much like the ones seen in BlazBlue and Persona 4 Arena/Ultimax). Your score is determined by the following factors at the end of each match:
    • Life Bonus
    • Time Bonus
    • Combo Bonus
    • Finish Bonus
    • Straight Bonus
Each of these are self-explanatory, but the Finish and/or Straight bonuses can only be obtained when you beat the opponent with an Infinite Worth/Infinite Worth EXS and/or finish the match without losing a single round.

As the trophy's description states, you need to achieve a score of at least 300 million or more so I highly advise having a high amount of health, finishing each match with a good amount of time by the end, doing combos (including combos that end with Infinite Worth attacks as long as they finish the opponent) and not lose a single round in each match as each of the five factors play an important role for the trophy.
  • Finished Time Attack Mode in under 10 minutes.

Time Attack Mode has you fighting against ten opponents under fixed regulations as you fight your way through the leaderboards as you go for a high score based on the time it takes for you to complete this mode.

For this trophy, you will need to complete it in under 10 minutes, you can easily go for this trophy if you go for a straight victory in each of the ten stages of the game without having to lose a round, as that will add more time towards completing it. I also recommend playing through this with the character you are most skilled with, as with the combos or strategies you have learned with that character will prove beneficial in completing it in under the specified time for the trophy.
  • Survived at least 30 matches in Survival Mode.

Survival Mode has you fighting against a series of opponents under fixed regulations as you fight for a high score based on the number of opponents you have defeated by the end of your run. In order to unlock this trophy, you need to defeat at least 30 or more opponents in survival mode but keep in mind that the enemies will get progressively harder as you progress.
  • Unlocked over 50% of the illustrations in Gallery Mode.

See There's a Whole in My Heart.
  • Unlocked all the illustrations in Gallery Mode.

You will need to unlock all illustrations in the game's gallery in order to unlock this trophy. You will unlock most of the illustrations by playing through each character's story in Arcade Mode, as well as spending the IP that you have accumulated for specific illustrations.
    • Website Illustrations - 400 IP each (17,200 IP in total since there are 43 illustrations)
    • Guest Illustrations - 1000 IP each (11,000 IP in total since there are 11 illustrations)

In total you need to spend at least 28,200 IP to purchase all illustrations from guests and the game's website, which will come naturally if you choose to save up your IP first for Can't Buy Happiness.
  • Have more than 200,000 IP.

This trophy is not cumulative, thus you need to have at least 200,000 or more IP on you at the same time so don't spend any of it until the trophy has popped. I strongly recommend going for this before any of the other trophies which require you to spend IP. You can earn IP across each of the game's many different play modes (with the exception of Training), especially if you are playing through Arcade Mode with the game's sixteen characters for their trophies as well.
  • Fought a Ranked match.

(GLITCHED (NA version only)) (Online Multiplayer)

For this trophy, you will need to simply play a ranked match for the first time, whether you win or lose does not matter as long as you finish the match from start to finish without disconnecting from your opponent.

If you are looking for someone to boost this trophy with, head on over to the: Boosting Thread: LINK.
  • Viewed the Card information in the customization options.

Despite what the trophy description says, you actually need to purchase an item from any of the following three customization options before you can customize your card and unlock the trophy. Each of these will cost a specified number of IP each in order to purchase them.
    • Icons - 1,250 IP each
    • Plates - 4,000 IP each for the standard plates, 8,000 IP each for the special character-themed plates
    • Titles - 400 IP each
Once you have made a purchase on each or any of the three above with the IP you have, the trophy will be unlocked.
  • Unlocked over 20 colors of any given character.

Each character in Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late has a total of 20 colors each; ten of which are available immediately but the other ten will need to be purchased with the IP you have accumulated as you play the game.

All ten unlockable colors for each character will come to approx 25,000 IP, as it will cost 2,500 IP for each one individually but for this trophy you need to unlock at least 20 of them (meaning that you can buy all ten colors for two characters, which will be 50,000 IP in total or you can spend it on any 10 as long as you spend that same amount). Due to this, I strongly recommend saving up your IP for the Can't Buy Happiness trophy before you start spending it for this and the other trophies that relate to spending IP.
  • Dealt a 5,000+ damage combo using Hyde. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Hyde's combo trophy requires you to deal at least 5,000 damage or more in a single combo. Seeing that Hyde is the game's "Ryu", he is considered to be beginner-friendly for those picking up the game for the first time.

    For a combo that will meet the requirements for this trophy, try this particular combo: Veil Off (++) -> + -> -> (jump) -> (jump) -> (jump) -> (jump)+ -> + -> +

In this combo, you will need to set your "Counter Hit" settings to "High Counter", as this will allow the + attack to cause a wallbounce, allowing you to properly connect the attack properly. You should also allow his (jump) attack to deal two hits before you link it to (jump). You should also have the opponent in a corner so the wallbounce can be in effect.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Dealt a 5,000+ damage combo using Linne. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Linne's combo trophy requires you to deal at least 5,000 damage or more in a single combo. She is the game's basic rushdown character, as her pressure and mixup game can easily allow you to turn the tide of the battle in her favor during the match.

For a combo that can easily get the job done, try this one: Veil Off (++) -> + -> -> +-> Chain Shift (x2) -> +

In this combo, you will need to briefly delay the timing on the attack that comes after her + move because if it were done as soon as the move ends, it will not allow you to chain her + move correctly.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Executed a 20+ hit combo using Waldstein. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Waldstein's combo trophy requires you to perform a combo that has at least 20 hits or more. Seeing as how Waldstein is the game's grappler character and how slow he is, he doesn't have much when it comes to combos but they still do some good damage if done properly.

    For a combo that you can use for this trophy, please refer to this one: (jump) -> -> -> (jump) -> (jump) -> (jump) -> -> -> -> -> + -> Chain Shift (x2) -> -> +

In this combo, you will need to have the dummy in the corner after you set your "Counter Hit" settings to "Counter", as this will extend the timing between the (jump) -> chain, giving Waldstein a chance to connect these two. You should also use Chain Shift as soon as possible after the first + move, so you can link it with .

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Dealt a 5,000+ damage combo using Carmine. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Carmine's trophy requires you to deal at least 5,000 damage or more during a single combo. His gameplay relies heavily on the use of his health to create blood-based attacks and puddles to trap his opponents with his zoning techniques.

For a combo that can prove effective for this trophy, try this one: + -> Veil Off (++; after walking into the puddle created with +) -> + -> + -> Chain Shift (x2) -> +

This combo requires you to have a puddle created with + active, as it will grant his + move with an additional property that can help extend the combo and link it with + without much trial and error.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Executed a 40+ hit combo using Orie. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Orie's combo trophy requires you to perform a combo that has at least 40 hits or more in it. Orie's gameplay relies heavily on the use of a spirit that acts like a Persona in the Persona 4 Arena games, this spirit is used in most of her special moves.

    For a combo that will work with this trophy, try this one: -> Veil Off (++) -> + -> Chain Shift (x2) -> -> -> -> +

As you do the second move, press , then to link the two so you can easily chain it with the attacks surrounding the spirit and wait until the combo is at 37 or 38 hits then tap + to end the combo with 44 hits registered.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the "Character Combo Challenges" section of the Roadmap.
  • Executed a 40+ hit combo using Gordeau. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Gordeau's combo trophy requires you to perform a combo that has at least 40 hits or more. This is simple due to Gordeau being a rushdown character much like that of Linne but with good offensive tools.

    For a combo that's easy enough to get the job done, use this one: -> -> -> -> -> Chain Shift (x2) -> ->

The timing between the Chain Shift and the second must be precise, otherwise it will not register, therefore negating the combo.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Dealt a 5,000+ damage combo using Merkava. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Merkava's combo trophy requires you to deal at least 5,000 damage or more during a single combo. This can be a bit tricky, since Merkava's combos usually deal with timing and spacing.

You can easily achieve this by performing the following combo: Veil Off (++) -> + (twice) -> +

When going for both + attacks, you will need to make sure that the timing between the second attack and his Infinite Worth is precise as the opponent will fly over him if you delay the attack longer than it should be.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Executed a 70+ hit combo using Vatista. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Vatista's combo trophy requires you to perform a combo that deals at least a total of 70 hits or more. Since Vatista is a charge character, the timing for each attack in her combos must be precise in order for them to connect properly.

For an ideal combo that you can do for this trophy, use this one: [][][] -> (charge) + -> Veil Off (++) -> (charge) + (twice) -> Chain Shift (x2) -> +

Keep in mind that for this combo, you will need to hold , , and while crouching for Vatista to summon her orbs so her (charge) + move can link with the orbs that are placed. After the second (charge) + move, you will need to quickly use Chain Shift so you can connect it with her Infinite Worth attack to end the combo with 76 hits registered.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Dealt a 5,000+ damage combo using Seth. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Seth's combo trophy requires you to do a combo that deals at least 5,000 damage or more in order to unlock it. This is fairly easy since Seth's +// attack can create a void that, after a set period of time, can shoot a projectile that can be used to extend combos much like that of Mu-12's Steins Gunner pods in the BlazBlue series.

You can easily achieve this by performing the following combo: Veil Off (++) -> + -> + -> Chain Shift (x2) -> +

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Executed a 30+ hit combo using Yuzuriha. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Yuzuriha's combo trophy requires you to do a combo that does at least 30 hits or more. This can be a bit tricky since Yuzuhira is a more of a zoner than she is a rushdown character.

    An ideal combo that you can use for this trophy is -> -> -> -> (jump) -> (jump) -> (jump) -> -> -> + -> Chain Shift (x2; after 21st hit) -> (jump)+

For this combo, you will need to time two strings: -> after (jump), and Chain Shift (x2; after 21st hit) -> + after the 21st hit in the combo. This is so you can link the second + properly after cancelling the grounded version of the move. You will also need to set your "Counter Hit" settings to "Counter" to extend the hitstun of her attack in the first hit.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Executed a 70+ hit combo using Hilda. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Hilda's combo trophy requires you to dish out a combo that has a total of at least 70 hits or more. Unlike most characters, Hilda's combos rely heavily on spacing thanks to the fact that you can charge her normal attacks.

    For a combo that can help you unlock this trophy, use this one: Veil Off (++) -> + -> [] -> [] -> +

You will need to create some spacing while you hold after using her +circle move to make a small lynchpin fall from the sky and hold the opponent down during the combo. If you space it correctly, this will open up another opportunity for you to hold again so you can chain it into her Infinite Worth. I highly recommend turning on "Counter" or "High Counter" when doing this combo.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Dealt a 5,000+ damage combo using Eltnum. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Eltnum's combo trophy requires you to deal at least 5,000 damage or more during a single combo. She is a mix between rushdown and zoning thanks to her tools such as her gun and her Etherite.

    For a combo that can help unlock this particular trophy, use this one: Veil Off (++) -> + -> (jump)+ -> Chain Shift (x2) -> + -> +

You will need to turn on "Counter" for this combo, as this will extend the hitstun between the + -> (jump)+ chain and as soon as you use Chain Shift at the end of the latter move, quickly use +, then chain it with her Infinite Worth for a total of 5,144 points of damage.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Dealt a 5,000+ damage combo using Chaos. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Chaos' combo trophy requires you to deal at least 5,000 damage or more during a single combo. Like Orie, some of Chaos' moves deal with an assistant character that assists you during combos but unlike Orie, his assistant character plays a crucial role in his gameplay as Chaos will be powerless without it.

For a combo that's completely simple enough to obtain this trophy, use this one: Veil Off (++) -> + -> Infinite Worth EXS (+++)

This combo is completely easy to perform, as you can easily dish out 5,046 points of damage as long as you are on Veil Off state and have the opponent in the corner when you use his + move. Keep in mind that you need to have your health at 20% or lower in order to use his Infinite Worth EXS attack.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Dealt a 5,000+ damage combo using Akatsuki. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Akatsuki's combo trophy requires you to dish out at least 5,000 damage or more during a single combo. Akatsuki is a technical character with combos that require precise timing in order to deal good damage.

    For a combo that can easily net you this trophy, use the following combo: Veil Off (++) -> -> -> (jump foward) -> (jump) -> -> + -> + -> Chain Shift (x2) -> +

In this combo, you will need to time properly after you launch the opponent with , as if you attack him before he lands on the opponent, it will whiff the attack and negate the combo. Another thing to note is that as soon as you attack with +, quickly use Chain Shift to cancel it while the projectile is still attacking the opponent, then use his Infinite Worth move to end the combo with 5,481 points of damage dealt with at the end.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Dealt a 5,000+ damage combo using Nanase. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Nanase's combo trophy requires you to deal at least 5,000 points of damage or more with a single combo. She is a rushdown character with good offensive perks who is easy to pick up and learn if you're familiar with characters like Orie and Linne.

    For a combo that will net you the trophy with ease, use this one: Veil Off (++) -> (jump)+ -> -> (jump) (twice) -> (jump) -> -> + -> + -> Chain Shift (x2) > +

In this combo you will need to have the dummy in the corner after you set your "Counter Hit" settings to "Counter", as a counter hit will allow Nanase's (jump)+ move to stun the opponent in the air for an extended period of time and allow her to link her attack properly.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.
  • Executed a 90+ hit combo using Byakuya. (Training Mode OK, with any settings)

Byakuya's combo trophy requires you to perform a combo that has at least 90 or more hits in it. This is, without a doubt, the most tedious combo challenge in the game due to the number of hits you need to dish out.

Thankfully, there is a simple combo you can do that will net you the required number of hits needed for the trophy: + -> + (three times) -> + -> Chain Shift (x2) -> + (three times) -> +

When doing +, you will need to space it properly while you have the opponent in the corner since this combo is reliant on spacing at the start. You should also use Chain Shift when you have at least 53 or more hits done in the combo so you can chain it with the second round of + chains, before doing its EX version one last time for the trophy.

For information on which settings you should use for the combo trophies, please refer to the Character Combo Challenges section of the Roadmap.

Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late's Arcade Mode is where the game's story is told. Each character has their own unique story as you fight through ten stages with special interactions between characters that appear, based on their connections toward one another.
There are a total of sixteen playable characters in this game, each of whom have their own trophy when you complete their respective arcade mode stories but for this particular trophy you will need to complete Arcade Mode using all sixteen characters. You can make the process for each of the arcade mode trophies (including this one) faster by changing the game's settings in options and set the number of rounds for Arcade Mode to 1 and the game's difficulty to 1 (the easiest difficulty). The speed of the time for Arcade Mode does not matter for these trophies so set it to whatever you want.
  • Used "Random" on the character select screen, and picked every character. (Cannot be done in Network Modes.)

In order to obtain this trophy, you will need to select "Random" (which is found in the center between Hyde and Linne) until you see it choose all sixteen characters at any given time but be sure to press after each time you select it, as you can easily back out from the character it gives you and let you randomize another character.

If you get the same character when going for this trophy, be sure you keep on pressing it until you see the last character that the roulette will give you.
  • Dealt 300,000 damage in a single training session.

In order to unlock this trophy, you need to deal a total of 300,000 damage or more in a single session of training mode. It should come naturally while practising combos in training mode and dishing out damage, regardless of the character you are playing or the combo(s) that you're are learning with said character.
  • Played the game on one of the characters' birthdays.

    (Date Sensitive)

For this trophy, you will need to start up the game with the system dashboard's date set to any of the character's birthdays in the game. You can easily change your system's date and month on the XMB by going to [Settings] -> [Date & Time Settings] but be sure to set it manually so you can set it to each of the following thirteen dates:

    Hyde: April 14th
    Linne: March 18th
    Waldstein: September 15th
    Carmine: May 8th
    Orie: October 7th
    Gordeau: June 23rd
    Seth: January 7th
    Yuzuriha: July 20th
    Hilda: November 11th
    Eltnum: June 6th
    Chaos: December 5th
    Nanase: February 15th
    Byakuya: December 24th

Since Merkava, Vatista and Akatsuki have no precise birthdays, they don't count towards this trophy.
