Type:Rider is an indie platformer developed by Ex Nihilo in collaboration with Arte France. You control 2 dots and you will travel through 10 different levels that will introduce you to the history of typography through its most well-known fonts and characters. The 2 dots are tied to each other and you control them with , you can also jump with and rotate them with and . The game is pretty short and easy, with a lot of collectibles but they all are straight forward. The hardest part is to complete a certain level without dying but it's far from impossible with a bit of practice.
Walkthrough
Step 1: Complete the game collecting all the letters, asterisks and ampersands.
First you will need to complete the tutorial then all of the 8 main levels but try to pick up all the collectibles in this run, since they are all straight forward and won't cause you much problem. There is a total of 33 collectibles per level (26 letters, 6 asterisks and 1 ampersand). Each chapter has 4 different sections and you can restart a section if you've missed a collectible but you will need to complete the section in order to register it.
Once you've completed the game, watch the credits then play the bonus level while getting the collectibles (26 letters, 1 asterisk and 1 ampersand).
If the collectibles trophies don't pop, replay any chapter and collect the first letter and they should unlock.
During this step, you will earn:
Collector
Explorer
The End
Lol
Legend
A to Z
Ampersand
Step 2: Clean up.
Replay any chapter to get any remaining collectibles if needed, once you've collected them all you will be able to read all the pages in every book as they are unlocked when you collect the asterisks. Replay the Gothic level and complete it under 3 minutes, or replay any section in this level to lower your time. Replay the Clarendon level and complete it without dying, you'll have to replay the whole chapter if you die and can't restart only the section or it won't count. If you haven't earned them by this time, simply perform a 360 and 7 consecutive wall jumps to earn the remaining trophies.
During this step, you will earn:
360°
Time Attack
Wall Rider
Desperado
Thirst For Knowledge
