Killed It Trophy in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

  • Killed It

Win a round of gwent with a total strength of at least 187.

    How to unlock Killed It

I would suggest using the Northern Realms deck for this attempt as how many spy cards you can get and also all the different cards that multiply off each other. Also I would switch the Gwent difficulty to Easy in the options under gameplay if you haven't already.

Go to any NPC who plays Gwent and face them. There are different ways to go about this, but I just kept forfeiting until I had a decent amount of spy cards on me and then used them all to get the extra cards and then passed. During the next hand I laid them all out to get 188 with a few cards to spare. Make sure you have at least one commander's horn and use Foltest The Siegemaster as your leader for another free one on your siege line. Make sure you also have the cards that multiply off each other too. Just keep trying until you get it, it took me a few attempts to start out with the cards I needed.

  • my total strength when I get this trophy is 222
  • got this trophy without owning the Hearts of Stone dlc
  • When going for the Card Master trophy you'll probably get this naturally if u use the Northern Realm deck, use your spy cards first to get as many combo cards and then just make sure u combine all your blue stripes commandos and/or dragon hunter cards + commandor horn/Dandelion. Then just hope opponent doesn't use scorch. Can also confirm you don't need the Heart of Stone DLC to get this trophy.
  • Trophy unlocked without the DLC last night.
  • easy. basically prune your deck down so you have around 24-26 cards. a larger deck will cause a significant chance for you to not have a really nice hand. I used NORTHERN REALM deck. In your deck make sure you have a least 4 or 5 spy cards. At this point you will have a lots of HERO cards. make sure they are 10 or higher.. the 7s are cool also.. Make sure you have at least TWO commander's horns in this pruned down deck. And the leader ability where you double the strength of your siege combat row. At the start of the match, if you don't see at least two spy cards in your deck, forfeit.. keep playing until you see 2 or 3 spy cards in your hand at start of match..
  • cont. from this point, your pruned deck should all be CLOSE combat and SEIGE cards. you can leave a medium ranged card in there or two so that when you add a commander line you will increase that line.. NOTE you CANNOT double any of your hero cards, so having a few regular cards in your deck that compliment all rows will add to your score.. once you have those spy cards, spam them until you get at least 12-15 cards. throw the match, and let your opponent win.. After this, to avoid getting SCORCHED, put all of the hero cards up first, (they cant be scorched or affected). Then start adding the other cards, if you have two commanders cards in your hand, you are sure to get over 187 total..
  • cont. because not only do you have the ability to double your siege combat line but the other two also.. Just keep adding, and adding, hopefully you have a good number of siege cards, 6 or 8 points and close combat 5-7, and your ranged line 6-7 points.. At one point I had 185 points, I was upset, but then just kept forfeiting and replaying until I got that hit. My final score was something like 218 or something like that.. when you are pruning down your deck, remove all the low numbers 1s,4s, 5s..keep your numbers in all of your lines for cards, high 6-8 points.. good luck.. I thought I would never get this dumb ass trophy..
  • my total strength when I got this trophy is a whopping 289 lol
  • this popped for me without owning the dlc. seems to be a common occurrence judging by the other comments.
