-Offline: 51 (33 15 2 1)
-Online: 0
-Missable trophies: None
-Do cheats block trophies?: Yes
-Approximate amount of time to Platinum: 30-40 hours using the correct method for Miracle Worker, if not then easily 60+.

Step 1: The early stages

Just starting out in the sims will net you a couple trophies. First you're going to get the trophies Baby Steps and Graduated by the time you finish the tutorials the game gives you. Before you even have the need to use Karma powers you'll get Be Excellent to Each-other, I got it without even realizing it was a trophy because early on in the game there's really no need to use Karma powers. This is a short and easy step. You should complete this step within the first 10 minutes of the game.

Step 2: Getting your life on track

Now that the tutorials are out the way you should have a pretty good idea about what you're doing. You're going to now want to go out and find a job that your sim likes. Normally a sims lifetime wish will give you a good idea about what their career track should be. The reason you want to earn money early is because if you have a lot of money in the beginning of the game the rest of the trophies come extremely easily. Get promoted in your job to earn extra cash and also to earn the Climbing the Ladder trophy. The big bucks will come from writing books and such so once you work enough to buy a computer buy one and immediately begin writing books. You'll get the Sim-Author trophy and you'll also have a nice steady cash flow rolling in. This step is all about earning money and getting yourself a nice stable foundation for all the things you're going to need to buy/do in the future.

Step 3: A little bit of freedom

Now you've been working a little bit and you have some money to spend as well as a little bit of freedom. This step is where you're going to want to go for most of the miscellaneous trophies. You should have a pretty routine schedule now and your job and family should be secure giving you the perfect opportunity to go for trophies. Go for random trophies like I Double Dare Ya and Sim About Town. With this new found time in your schedule you can go for all of the relationship trophies like The Big Proposal and Woo Hoo!. Make sure that when your sim has his first love interest to get the trophy It's a Date or you will have to get it with another sim. Once you get a spouse for your sim and you have them move in with you that's when you should have your first baby to earn the Once a Parent, Always a Parent. Unless you already have a sim with the traits required for the Reviler trophy then you should make your first child a sim with the traits needed. Continue to raise your child and make sure to complete the trophy Child Prodigy so that you don't have to have another child if you don't want to.

Step 4: Skill time

Alright boys and girls now it's time to get your skills up and get the trophies related to them. You're going to want to get your sims skills up past the skills required for your job. You can earn skills with multiple sims but it may be easier to manage one very skillful sim so that you can keep track of his actions when trying to garden or make food. Get your gardening and cooking skill to level 10 to earn Expertise and to help out with the Botanical Perfection trophy as well as the Fit For a King trophy. Get your fishing skill up to 5-6 and attempt to catch a perfect fish for the Trophy Fish trophy. Getting your skills up will help you with skill journals so also go for the Leet Skillz trophy in this step.

Step 5: Big bucks

Since you had such a good steady stream of income early in the game by this point in the game you should be rich and when I say rich I mean about $400,000 rich. With money like this you should move to one of the three most expensive houses to earn the trophy Movin' On Up. Upon buying the house you will recieve the trophy Home is Where the Simoleons are. Buy expensive items and put them in your house until your house reaches the $350,000 mark to earn the trophy Master Architect. With your house being worth so much money and having so many items inside it leaves the perfect opportunity to get the trophy Pyromaniac. While the fire is going you mine as well get the trophy But it's Flammable.

Step 6: Uberchallenging and Miracle Worker

These two trophies are so big that they deserve their own section. Work your way towards Uberchallenging and you'll acquire trophies on the way such as Power Overwhelming and Not Dead Yet since both will get you challenges completed anyway. Keep looking at the challenge menu and you'll eventually get Uberchallenging. Now all you should have left is Miracle Worker. Make sure to read the trophy guide to find out the best course of action when trying to get that trophy. Using that method explained will get you about 100-150 wishes per hour. Use the mid-life crisis lifetime reward if you need to change your traits around to make them what they need to be and grind away at the wishes until you get your trophy and your platinum.

    Congratulations on earning the platinum!

  • Create a household.

This is the first trophy you'll get in the game. To get this trophy you will need to start a new game and create your sim/sims. To proceed you will need to have at least one young adult in your family. Once you continue on to the next screen the trophy will unlock.

Once you buy your house and your family settles in, the game will prompt you to complete some in-game tutorials. I suggest that you read these tutorials because they do a great job of explaining the ins and outs of the game. You don't need to read them though and iff you want you could keep tapping the to go through them quickly. Once you've completed your last tutorial you'll unlock the trophy.

  • Learn the Charisma Skill.

The charisma skill can be learned a few ways. The best two are by practicing speeches in front of mirrors and taking a charisma class at city hall. If you use the practice giving speeches way it will take longer because taking the charisma class will teach you the skill in one class. Both ways will teach you the charisma skill and once you learn it you will get the trophy.

  • Complete 10 Wishes.

    See 'Miracle Worker'

  • Use a Karma Power.

You can find the Karma powers by pushing and going over to the Karma powers tab. There you will find the various good and bad Karma powers. You can't just use them whenever you want however because they cost Karma points. Karma points are given to you when you complete wishes and when the clock strikes midnight. At midnight you're awarded anywehere from 8 to 15 Karma points and you recieve 1 for completing a wish unless you've bought challenge bonuses which can make it so that you can get up to 4 Karma points per wish. Once you have enough Karma points for the power that you want to use go to the Karma tab and click on the power that you want. Any power will work, good or bad. The cheapest Karma powers are Cosmic Curse which costs 5 points and it's a bad Karma power and Instant Beauty which costs 10 Karma points and it's a good Karma power. When you use it you will unlock the trophy.

  • BFF!

    Make a best friend.

To talk to someone hover over them and push . This will bring up their menu of talking options. If you're just meeting the person for the first time then be nice to them and use your traits to your advantage. For example if you picked the trait of being funny then you get a bonus on telling jokes so tell jokes more often. You can pick out your trait's special conversation abilities because of the picture next to the conversation option.

Now that you know that just keep talking to the same person for a while. You're going to want to keep talking or playing games or doing whatever else they like to do. You can see how much they like you by the bar that's displayed in the friends menu. Once they reach about 90-100% of the bar you will have reached best friend status. The game will come up with a screen saying that you are now best friends and soon after the trophy will unlock.

  • Attend a town event.

When you read the newspaper you can scroll down to the check weekly events option. Once you choose it you will get a notification about where, when and what kind of event is being held. To get this trophy you simply need to go to the right place at the right time in which an event is held. Don't worry the newspaper will tell you all that information. Just make sure to pay attention to what day it's on and what time it is, plan accordingly. Once you get to the event you may need to stay there a little while but you will eventually unlock the trophy.

For most events you'll get an opportunity notice upon entering the event. Some like the meet and greet don't have one but others like the amateur olympics and the chess competition do. For some events like the music festival you simply need to watch or play some music. For the meet and greet just socialize with the people there and you'll complete the event. Every event is handled a little differently but just showing up at the event isn't enough.

  • Go on a date.

Once you get to at least a love interest relationship status with another sim you can ask them to go out on a date. Use your sims' cell phone to call out your new love interest and click invite out. From there you can invite the sim anywhere you want. You can take them to the park or to a movie or anywhere else as long as you take someone out. To actually go on the date you must interact with the area where you took the sim out. For example if you take him/her out to dinner you're going to have to eat at the restaurant with your date, simply meeting them there isn't enough. This trophy will unlock when the date is complete.

  • Have a first kiss.

To have your first kiss you must be in the love interest stage of a relationsip with someone. To get to this stage you will need to first be friends with someone and by choosing friendly options. Once you're friends that's when you should start choosing romantic options. Be flirty and do things like hugs and whatnot until the option of first kiss comes up. The option is literally called first kiss so if you got too far into the relationship without getting that option then pick some mean options to get the person back down to the right relationship level. Once you've kissed a girl/boy for the first time using that conversation option you will get the trophy.

  • Make Woo Hoo.

You're going to want to use the same conversation strategy that you did for the You Never Forget Your First trophy except you're going to want to take the relationship one step further. Once you get to the love interest stage keep using romantic options until the other person starts thinking you're irresistable. Leave the conversation and head home. Invite the person you were just talking to to your house. Once you get her there you will have the romantic option to Woo Hoo, use that. Your sims will go to the bedroom and, well, you know. Once the two sims are done Woo Hooing you'll get the trophy.

  • Reach level 5 in a career.

To succeed in the sims you will eventually have to get a job. When you increase your skills that the job requires or you complete opportunities that due with your job then you will get a promotion for said job. To see what skills your job requires press and go over to the skills tab. Once there you will see the oval markers showing you what your current skills are. One of the ovals will be highlighted and that signifies what your job requires to have a chance to get a promotion. So get your skills up to that point and continue to go to work. You will have a higher chance at promotion if you go to work in a good mood so consider using some good Karma powers before you head off to work. Another thing to help you get that promotion is by working hard. To change how hard you work once you go to work push and then then select how hard you'd like to work. There's a bar in the job tab. Once the bar fills up on the green side you will get promoted. Once you get promoted enough and you reach the 5th level in your career the trophy will pop.

  • First you'll need to go to the build and buy screen by pushing and going over to the build and buy tab. Once there go into the buy section and then scroll down until you see the vehicle tab, enter it. Go into the cars tab to see everything that has to do with cars. First you need to buy a parking spot for your car, it costs $150. Once you've bought that you can buy any car you want. The cheapest is the "Slopp Jaloppy" which comes to a whopping total of $950. Once you buy the car and place it in the parking spot go back to living mode and the trophy will pop. You can sell the car after you get the trophy if you want so if you have $1,100 then you can get a trophy for almost nothing.

  • Complete 10 Opportunities.

Opportunities come about from your work and the skills that you have. You will get a notification when an opportunity arises so don't worry about missing them. The opportunities can range anywhere from cooking a meal for someone's party to joining the amateur Olympics. Opportunities allow you to earn money, meet new people and advance in your career so you should definitely consider doing them as often as possible.

You can check your current opportunities by pushing and going over to the wishes and opportunities tab. There you will see that you can have one career opportunity, one skill opportunity and one special opportunity at one time. Once you complete 10 of these opportunities you will unlock this trophy.

  • Experience the Meta.

This is a series of two challenges that require you to play video games for 10 hours and to watch TV for 10 hours. You can use the computer or a gaming system for the video games and you can do anything from working out with the TV to watching kid's shows for TV time. Once you have completed both of these sub challenges you will have complete the main challenge called "This is so Meta." Once you complete the challenge you'll unlock the trophy.

You'll get updates on his status throughout the exploration and you'll most likely find some items as well. Once your sim exits the catacombs you'll unlock the trophy.

  • Write a book.

Writing a book requires you to own a computer or laptop. They can be purchased in the electronics section of the build and buy screen. The cheapest one is $800 but it's well worth the investment. Once you own one of these fine devices click on the computer and go down to writing. Once you click on writing you will have the option of writing either a non-fiction or a fiction book, choose whichever one you'd like. Your sim will then begin writing the book on the computer. You'll see a bar above his head and when the bar fills up that means he has finished the book. you don't need to write the entire book in one sitting and I highly recommend you don't because it takes a while to write. Every once in a while hop on the computer and write for a little bit and you'll have this trophy in no time.

  • Throw an awesome party.

This trophy is really easy if you have the lifetime reward legendary host. When you have this lifetime reward you will have an awesome party no matter what. You can buy these rewards by pressing and going over to the sim info tab. From that tab go to the lifetime reward tab and click on lifetime rewards. There you can buy any reward you want. Buy this reward and throw a party.

To throw a party click on your sim and go to his/her cell phone, you will see an option to throw a party. It can be any type of party, it can be anywhere and it can be at anytime as long as you throw a party. Once all the guests are gone your party will be evaluated. If you have the legendary host reward then you will have an awesome party and you'll get the trophy.

  • Become a partner of the Paragon Personal Private Charity Warehouse.

Once you have $15,000 you can become a partner of the Paragon Personal Private Charity Warehouse. The option to become a partner won't even be visible to you until you have enough money. Once you have enough money you can click on the Paragon Personal Private Charity Warehouse and then click partner with. Once you've partnered with the charity warehouse you'll unlock the trophy.

  • Design and save 20 styles using Create a Style.

This is probably the easiest trophy in the game. Press and go to the build and buy menu. When you enter it push and go down to create a style. From there pick any piece of furniture, wall or flooring that you want. There will be a couple options to change the color but you're going to want to scroll over to the flower looking symbol option and enter that. From there you can edit the color, material and pattern of the thing you've chosen. Once you've chosen a new color, material or pattern press to save the style. Once the style is save move on to a different color, material or pattern. This can be done on the same piece of furniture so you don't need to worry about finding 20 different pieces of furniture. Once you've saved your 20th style you'll unlock the trophy

  • Get engaged.

You should go for the same conversation approach that you did for You Never Forget Your First and Woo Hoo! except this time you're going to want to take it another step further. Once you are able to woo hoo with your significant other you won't have to go much further. Keep pouring on the romantic conversation options until she thinks you're irresistable, once you get to that point that's when you should pop the question. If she accepts you will be engaged and you will get the trophy.

  • Move into a new home.

Once you either get enough money or you get married/have a child the game will tell you that you're able to move out and buy a new house. To buy a new house select your sim and go to his/her cell phone. Scroll down until you see move and click it. The cheapest house besides the one you start out in is the one on 72 Erin Lane and it costs about $13,000. Once you buy it you'll need to pick the new people who will be moving into your new household. Once you pick them then click on move in and bam! trophy.

  • Reach level 10 in a Skill.

Your sims can learn and practice different skills throughout the game. Not only will skills help you get promotions in jobs but each one has special things associated with them like having the ability to write great books or catching fish easier. The following are all the skills that are in the game and how you can improve them:

-Handiness - You can practice this skill by fixing a broken appliance or reading books.
-Fishing - You can practice this by either fishing in a pond, read fishing books or watching the fishing channel on TV.
-Writing - Practice by either practicing writing, going to writing class or writing a book.
-Charisma - You can practice this by going to a charisma class or practicing speeches in a mirror.

-Painting - You can either read books or paint on an easel to get this skill up.

You will notice that when you practice a skill a blue bar goes above your head. This blue bar shows you how close you are to the next skill level. The amount of time it takes to gain a skill level takes longer with each skill level gained. Keep practicing a skill until it reaches level 10 to unlock this trophy. The following are traits and lifetime rewards that can help achieve levels faster.

    -Swift Learner - Lifetime reward
-Artistic - Trait (For Painting skill)
-Genius - Trait (For Logic skill)
-Green Thumb - Trait (For Gardening skill)

-Angler - Trait (For Fishing skill)

  • Welcome a child into the family.

Once you've WooHooed for the first time (See Woo Hoo! on how to) another option will come up called "attempt a baby." Keep hitting that option until the game tells you that the woman is pregnant. The baby takes about 7-10 in-game days to be born so until then just wait it out. The woman will eventually need to go to the hospital to have the baby. Once you get to the hospital you've got to wait a couple in-game hours for the baby to be delivered. Your family will walk out of the hospital and soon after the trophy will pop.

  • Become best friends with your boss and all of your co-workers.

To become best friends with your boss and co-workers you're first going to have to find out who they are. Since you don't actually see your sim during work the only way to see who your co-workers are is by pressing and going to the relationships tab. From there push until you get to the work portion of the relationships tab. Now that you know how many people there are and who they actually are you can invite them over to your house so that you can talk to them.

You can invite them over to your house, throw a party and invite them or talk to them over the computer. Do anything that will help you two interact and become friends. Use friendly conversation options and play to your social advantages. If you're a funny then tell more jokes for example. Continue talking to these people until the game tells you that you're best friends. Once you're best friends with one of them move onto the next one. Be careful though because if you don't talk to a person in a while you can lose their friendship. Get to the best friend relationship status with all of your co-workers and you'll unlock the trophy.

  • Reach the maximum potential Karma.

The maximum potential Karma is 100. Karma is earned by completeting wishes and when the clock strikes midnight. You will earn 1 point for each wish you complete and you will earn anywhere from 8-15 points when it turns to midnight. As long as you don't use Karma powers for a couple of days you'll get this trophy easily. You can check how many Karma points you have by pushing and going over to the Karma menu.

  • Complete a Lifetime Wish.

Lifetime wishes are given to your sim when you're a teenager and these wishes are the main thing your sims wants to complete in life. These wishes can range from getting a certain skill to level 10 to getting to the highest level of a job. You have your entire life to get this done and if you want you can even turn off aging to have unlimited time for this trophy. Keep working at your wish whether it be practicing or getting promotions and you'll get this trophy easily. Once you complete a lifetime wish you will unlock this trophy.

  • Raise your household's value to §35,000 or more.

Your houses value takes into account the lot you're on and the items inside your sims' house. To check your household's value press and go to the build and buy menu. There you will find your houses value on the bottom right corner of the screen. To up your households value you you can either make the house bigger or you can buy more things to put in your house. The more expensive the item the higher your houses value will go up.

If you've ever bought an item and quickly resold it because you accidently bought the wrong thing you'd notice that you got less money when you sold it then what you just bought it for. That's because item value depreciates over time meaning that brand new car you just bought for $9,000 is going to be worth about $7,000 in a week. Knowing this you should try to buy your items at one time to compensate for item depreciation. Once you buy enough items or make your house big enough to bump its value up to $35,000 the trophy will unlock. Save before you buy all the items though just in case you don't want them all you can reload your save file.

  • Resurrect a Sim.

Once one of your sims dies of old age you can resurrect them by using the divine intervention Karma power. See I Double Dare Ya to learn how to unlock the Karma power. Once you've completed that challenge you need to buy the power with your challenge points. Once it's bought just continue to play until someone in the family dies. Once their dead use the divine intervention Karma power on their ghost. The power costs 75 Karma points. The sim will come back to life and you'll get your trophy.

  • Unlock every Good Karma Power by purchasing them with Challenge Points.

There are a total of 8 Good Karma powers and you start with 3 of them. The ones you will need to buy are good times, stroke of genius, get lucky, giant jackpot and divine intervention. You must complete challenges to unlock all of these and it just so happens that all of them except stroke of genius has a challenge that also unlocks a trophy. Once you've beaten all of the challenges that are required to unlock the powers go to the store where you spend your challenge points and buy the Good Karma powers. All of the powers in total will cost you 950 challenge points. Once you buy your last Good Karma power you will unlock the trophy.

The following are all the skill journals in the game.

Plumber: Sim has repaired 10 plumbing objects.

  • Gain 150,000 Lifetime Happiness Points in one Sim.

    See True Wealth

  • Extinguish a Sim on fire.

The first thing you're going to want to do is sell your fire alarm if you have one, also make sure no repair men or maids are in the house because they will put out the fire. Now that nothing will stop this fire you have to make one. If you have a clumsy sim they often set the oven on fire but I suggest that you use the firestorm Karma power. The power costs 15 Karma points so you shouldn't have to wait more than a day if you don't have enough points. Another easy way is making a fire place and having a sim play with it until a fire starts. Make walls around the fire place so the sim is stuck and he should start a fire relatively quickly. Once you use the power a fire will start on some items in your house. Once it starts up get your sims as close to the fire as possible. I got lucky, my guy was sitting in a chair and the chair caught on fire. Once a sim is on fire get another sim that you can control like a wife or one of your kids and click on them as if you were going to have a conversation with them. You will see an option that says put out sim. Use it and the sim you're controlling will take out a fire extinguisher and save the sim. You will get the trophy soon after the sim has no flames on him.

  • Become a public menace.

This trophy is a part of a challenge called "The Reviler." The following are the requirements of this challenge:

    -Return a stolen object
    -Be mean 10 times
-Steal 20 things with a kleptomaniac sim
    -Become enemies with 15 sims
-Steal candy from a baby 5 times.

To return a stolen object you first must actually steal an object. To do this you'll need to have a sim with the trait kleptomaniac so either make one or marry one. Once you have this type of sim wait until 7:00 PM and then visit a neighbor's house. Once inside you can click on a room as if you were going to walk into it and an option will come up to swipe something. You can steal a total of 3 things per day so doing quick math it will take you 7 days to steal 20 things. Once you've stolen some objects go to your mailbox with the sims that stole the items, you will have a new option that says return stolen goods. Simply click it and send back the item that you want to send back.

To steal candy from a baby go up to an infant and select them as though you were going to have a conversation with them. If you have a kleptomaniac sim the option will come up to steal candy. The baby won't appear to have candy so when you see an infant steal candy from it. The hardest part about this part of the challenge is actually finding an infant. Going to the park during the day and visiting peoples houses are the easiest ways to find them. Steal candy 5 times and you'll complete that part of the challenge

The last two parts both have to do with being mean. Any type of sim can be mean in some way but some are better than others. Mean is a conversation option when you talk to a person for the first time. To be mean just select any option in the mean conversation section when you're talking to another sim. Select 10 of those options to beat the challenge. Becoming enemies is a little bit harder but all you need to do is keep using mean conversation options. Eventually you will get the chance to use fighting conversation options which make sims enemies very quickly. Become enemies with 15 sims to beat the challenge.

Once these 5 challenges are completed you will have completed "The Reviler" challenge and you will get the trophy. The following traits and lifetimes rewards will help with this trophy.

    -Kleptomaniac - Trait (required)
    -Evil - Trait (required)
    -Mean Spirited - Trait

  • Use the Epic Fail Karma Power on 13 unsuspecting sims not in your family.

To use the Epic Fail power you will need to push and go over to the Karma menu. From there select the Epic Fail power and then select the sim you want to use it on. The power costs 25 Karma points.

Now that you know how to use it head over to central park, throw a party or go anywhere that has a lot of people in the area. Use the power on 13 different sims and you'll complete the challenge "Epic Fail" and you'll unlock the trophy. You can check your progress by going to the challenges menu and looking at the challenge "Epic Fail."

  • Start 5 romantic relationships.

For this trophy your sim/sims are going to need to start 5 romantic relationships. First let's identify what counts as a romantic relationship. If you get to the girlfriend stage with another sim that's one. If you go on to marry that same sim then that will count as your 2nd romantic relationship. So as you can see that you can get 2 romantic stages on 1 sim.

Now that you know how the relationship system works you need to know how to get a romantic relationship. You're going to want to use the same tactics you used for the trophy You Never forget Your First. Start them off slow with conversations and maybe even get them into the friends stage. Then start going all out on the romantic conversation options like flirting and hugging. Eventually you'll get the option to kiss and that's when you know your on the right track. Keep continuing to use romantic conversation options and then once she thinks you're extremely irresistible propose to her. If she says yes then you should have 2 relationships out of the way. Now you can either be mean to her and kick her to the curb with a divorce or you can get the other romantic relationships with other sims. You can use as many sims as you want for this trophy. You can check your progress by going to the challenges menu and searching for the "Matchmaker" challenge. Once you get 5 romantic relationships you'll unlock this trophy. The following traits/lifetime wishes can help you obtain this trophy.

    -Attractive - Lifetime reward
    -Flirty - Trait
    -Charismatic - Trait
    -Great Kisser - Trait
    -Hopeless Romantic - Trait

  • Prepare a perfect meal.

Perfect meals can be made once you're good at making a certain meal. Make the same meal over and over again and you'll get better and better at making that meal. Use better ingredients to make the meal better quality and a high cooking level doesn't hurt either. Have the best refrigerators and stoves to cook your meals to make them better also. Continue to make your meal of choice until you're get good enough at it to make it perfect. I wouldn't worry about this trophy too much but when you make a meal yourself make sure to make the same one. This trophy requires you to make the same meal a bunch of times but once you finally make a perfect meal the trophy will pop. Traits and lifetime rewards that can help with this trophy are as follows.

    -Natural Cook - Trait

  • Buy out a commercial property in town.

To buy out a commercial property you must first partner with the company. To partner with a company you must go to the world map and select the option "partner with this company." The option will come up when you have enough money and you won't be able to even see it if you don't have enough. Once you are a partner of a business you can then spend some more cash and completely buy out the property. You buy it out the same way you partner with it, select the business from the world map but this time it will say "buy out this company." Like before the option won't even be visible unless you have enough money. The following is the amount of money that each business in the game costs to be partners with.

    Diner - $6,000
    Bookstore - $7,000
    Supermarket - $7,000
    Bistro - $12,500
    Spa - $15,000
    Charity warehouse - $15,000
    Theatre - $18,000
    Office building - $18,000
    Hospital - $30,000
    Stadium - $35,000
    Science lab - $40,000

To get the trophy however you need to own the business so the following is the cost to actually own the property.

    Diner - $18,000
    Bookstore - $20,000
    Supermarket - $20,000
    Bistro - $25,000
    Spa - $35,000
    Charity warehouse - $35,000
    Theatre - $40,000
    Office building - $40,000
    Hospital - $75,000
    Stadium - $80,000
    Science lab - $100,000

As you can see the cheapest one is the diner and it will cost you $24,000 in total. Once you buy any of these properties you will unlock the trophy.

  • Get an insurance check for over §15,000 after using the Firestorm Karma Power.

To unlock the firestorm karma power you first need to complete the challenge "Fun for the Whole Family!" To complete this challenge you'll need to collect 5 rocks. Rocks can be collected in two ways, one is by finding them while you're exploring the catacombs and the other is by looking around yourself outside of buildings, houses and in parks. Look on the grass around areas and you'll see black chunks on the ground, those are rocks. You won't be able to find all five in one area so travel around to different sections of the maps and look for rocks.

Now that you've unlocked the ability to buy the Firestorm Karma power go ahead and buy it with your challenge points by pushing and going to the challenge screen. This power will cost you 100 challenge points. Now that you've bought it SAVE YOUR GAME, I'd hate you lose your hard earned items for this trophy. Now that you have it let your Karma points build up to 15 so that you can use the power. If you have a fire alarm sell it and dismiss any repair workers or maids because they will extinguish the fire. Use the Karma power and watch your house's items burn down to nothing. Make sure that you have at least $15,000 worth of stuff in your house because once the fire is gone you will be paid for all of the damages to your items. You will get less of an insurance check if your house is more vulnerable to fire. When you're in the build and buy menu you'll see a bar on the left side of the screen showing how prone your house is to a fire. Make it so that you have a lot of items in the house but also have it so that it's just under the point where the flame is lit up on that fire bar. What I did was I bought a lot of expensive items and put them really close together so that if one caught on fire they all caught on fire. When you get the notice after the fire that you've received the insurance check of at least $15,000 you'll get the trophy.

  • Grow a perfect plant.

First off I'll tell you how to garden because honestly it took me a while to figure out at first. Get some seeds (you can find them on the ground around the town), then push and go to the build and buy menu. Once there open the catalog by pushing and go into family inventory. Once inside this menu you can scroll through your inventory and find your seeds. Once you find the seeds you want to use select them and you will be able to place them anywhere on your property. Once you've selected a spot push to set down the seed. After that push and go back to living mode. Finally in living mode select the seed and choose the plant option, your sim will then plant the seed where you placed it in the build and buy section.

This is how growing things works, you grow a plant and when it makes fruits/vegetables and you harvest them the next generation of fruits/vegetables will be better or worse in quality depending on how well they're taken care of. For example if you start off with a normal quality apple seed and it will grow you normal quality apples. Once you harvest those apples it will move onto its' next generation of apples. If you've taken good care of the apple tree the fruit it gives will go up one quality level (sometimes more depending on your gardening skill and fertilzer.) If the tree isn't taken care of then your apples can go down a quality level. The following is the list of quality levels you can get for your fruit and seeds.

    Very Bad
    Bad
    Normal
    Nice
    Very Nice
    Great
    Excellent
    Outstanding
    Perfect

A few things that will effect the quality of your fruits/vegetables are the original quality of the seed you used, the fertilizer you use and the traits your sim has. If you use a better seed it's easier to move up to that perfect plant because it's closer to the top. If you start out with an outstanding seed then you only need to improve on one generation while if you use a nice quality seed you need to improve the seed 5 generations. The seed quality is more of a time saver rather than a helper in regards to actually making the plant better later on.

Fertilizing your plants increases the chances that your plants will improve in their next generation. Fresh fish are the best fertilizer in the game and the better quality the fish the better the fertilizer is. You can also use other fruits and vegetables as fertilizer too but it just doesn't work as well.

Finally the traits and lifetime rewards you have on your sim effect your plants life. The following traits and lifetime rewards will help you with gardening.

    -Green Thumb - Trait
    -Loves Outdoors - Trait
    -Eco-Friendly - Trait
-Super Green Thumb - Lifetime Reward.

Some other things that can help you get the perfect plant is the sprinkler. The sprinkler will help water your plants and if you upgrade the sprinkler (requires level 5 handiness) then it will water your plants for you so you don't even have to worry about that. If you get the auto watering sprinkler the only thing you need to worry about is harvesting and weeding.

Keep going through the generations of plants until you get the perfect plant. Once you harvest something from your perfect plant the trophy will unlock.

  • Catch a perfect fish.

Once you're a high level fisherman you'll catch better fish. This can help when trying to catch a perfect fish but it isn't the only deciding factor. You'll need to also use the perfect bait for the fish. If you inspect the water that you're going to fish on, it will tell you the types of fish that are inside. You should read fishing books to find out which fish like which bait. Pair that knowledge together with your high fishing skill and you have all the tools needed to get this trophy. The better quality bait you use also affects the chances that you'll catch a perfect fish.

The easiest fish to catch are Minnows. You can begin catching perfect Minnows at level 5 fishing. You don't even need to have a special kind of bait to catch perfect Minnows. I found it easiest to catch perfect Minnows at Fairy Tale Park. The following traits and lifetime rewards can help with this trophy.

    -Angler - Trait
    -Loves Outdoors - Trait

  • Get 5 positive moodlets at the same time on one Sim.

This is one of those trophies that you'll most likely earn without even trying to go for it. Moodlets are status effects that are placed on your sim. They can either effect your sim positively or negatively. You can check your moodlets by pressing until you get to the moodlet tab. At that tab you can check how many moodlets you currently have and how long each one lasts. The following is a link to a site that shows all the moodlets in the game.

    The Sims 3 moodlets

You shouldn't need to worry about this trophy but you will definitely get this at some point before you get most of the other trophies but if you're in a rush to get it then I suggest you go to the day spa. Pick the option "package" because it includes everything and each different part to the day spa gives you a unique moodlet. Once you're out of the day spa you should have all 5 but if you don't then drive home and sit in a chair. Sitting in a comfy chair or on the couch will give you another moodlet and giving you more than enough moodlets at one time for this trophy.

  • Build a home of at least §350,000 property value on a large lot.

There are three large lot properties in the game. All of the lots that are $145,000 are considered large lot properties. The furnished property value needs to be $350,000. To check your property's value press and go to the build and buy menu. Once in the menu you'll see a window on the bottom right part of the screen that shows your furnished property value. Once you move into one of the big 3 houses you're almost halfway there in terms of value. Now all you need to do is earn about $150,000-$200,000 more to be able to buy enough items to increase the value to $350,000. I suggest you save all your money until you know that when you buy items you'll have enough to get you over that $350,000 so that you won't need to worry about item depreciation. When you have enough money buy small expensive items like the $9,000 virtual life simulator under the electronics section of the buying catalog. The item is worth a lot of money and takes up hardly any room so you won't need to worry about fitting things in the lot.

The following thread is full of tips on how to make money easily.

  • Complete Lifetime Wish before becoming a Young Adult.

Sims normally get their lifetime wishes when they hit their young adult years but they can be earned when they are a teenager when the teenager gets to a certain skill level. So to earn it for your teen practice any skill you want and when you're around level 4-5 for that skill a lifetime wish will pop up. So you can either have a baby and wait until it grows up to be a teenager, you can start your household with a teen already in it or you can adopt a child from the child services. Either way once you get a teen in the house press and go to options. Go down to enable aging and uncheck the box. Unchecking this box will stop all sims from aging giving you all the time in the world to complete your lifetime wish.

Normally when you're a teenager your lifetime wish will be something like maxing out a skill rather than maxing out a job when you're an adult. You can change your lifetime wish if you don't like the wish or you get unlucky and you get a job related wish. To change it press and go to the sim info tab. From there go to lifetime rewards and buy the lifetime reward "change lifetime wish", it costs 10,000 lifetime happiness points. If you still want to have ageing you can make it so your sims age really slowly, do this by staying in the same menu that you can uncheck the enable ageing, except this time go to sims lifespan and scroll the bar all the way to the right until it's at epic. Your sims will still age but they will just age very slowly leaving you a lot of time to complete your lifetime wish. Once you've completed the wish the trophy will unlock.

  • Gain 250,000 Lifetime Happiness on one Sim.

You earn lifetime happiness points by completing wishes for your sims. Tougher wishes will give you more lifetime happiness than easier ones and lifetime wishes will give you the most happiness out of all of them. You can check how much lifetime happiness points you get from a certain wish, you can check the main wish menu by pushing and going over to the wish tab. You can check how many lifetime points you've earned by pushing and going to the sim info tab. From there push and you will find the lifetime rewards tab and it will tell you how many lifetime happiness points you've earned and how you can spend the points. You can spend the points and still earn this trophy, the game remembers how many total points you have whether you spend them or not. Try and make sure to complete your sims' lifetime wish and do things that they enjoy to get this trophy easily. Once you earn your 250,000th lifetime happiness point you'll unlock the trophy.

  • Complete 50 Challenges.

    See Uberchallenging

  • Complete 100 Challenges.

    See Uberchallenging

  • Complete 150 Challenges.

You can find all the challenges in the game by pressing and going to the challenges tab. There you will find every challenge ranging from the easy ones to the hard ones. Complete all the easy challenges you can such as watching a game at the stadium or buying a computer. Reading different types of books is going to net you a bunch of challenges also. The fishing challenges are also very easy since fishing is one of the easiest skills to learn and master. If you're a good gardener or cook then there's also a lot of challenges having to do with growing perfect plants and making perfect meals.

As the generations of sims pass by, try to make a new type of sim each time so you can complete different lifetime challenges as well. I wouldn't worry about this trophy at all because you should have it by the time you get Miracle Worker.

  • Complete 100 Wishes.

    See Miracle Worker

  • Complete 1,000 Wishes.

Wishes are things that your sims want to do and can be compared to small goals. They are short term things that your sim would like to accomplish such as eating a certain food or talking to someone. A notification will come up on the top right corner of your screen when your sim has a new wish. Push to read the wish and what it wants you to do. To accept it push and to decline it push . You can have a maximum of four wishes at one time so if you get a wish when you already have four you can open up the main wish screen by pushing and you can change which wishes you want and which wishes you don't. Note that once you decline a wish or switch out one of your wishes you can't undo it. The type of wish will come up again but you'll just have to wait so pay attention when managing wishes. Also note that you must have the wish active for you to be able to complete it. If a wish is on standby and waiting to be switched in you can't complete it until you make it one of your four wishes. Once you complete your 1,000th you'll get the trophy.

There are a few good ways to get wishes quickly. One requires some very specific traits but if you don't have them you can always buy the "mid-life crisis" lifetime reward for 20,000 lifetime happiness points. This method requires you to have learned both the guitar and logic skill, it requires a romantic interest and it also requires the following traits and lifetime rewards.

    -Neat -Trait
    -Genius - Trait
    -Hates outdoors -Trait
    -Party animal - Trait
    -Charismatic - Trait (not required)
-Legendary host - Lifetime reward (not required)

When you have the necessary requirements in place, throw parties whenever you can. During the party you'll be bombarded with wishes and you should complete at least 10 by the end of each party. At that rate you can get a lot of wishes per hour. Credit goes to darkconsoles over at the sister site for this method.

Another method to getting wishes quickly is having children. If you have a family oriented sim with an infant in the family the sim is going to get loads and loads of wishes having to do with the care of your child. They're easy things too like snuggling your baby or buying them toys.
