Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 1/10
  • Offline trophies: 12 (7, 4, 1)
  • Online trophies: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 15-30 Minutes
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 3(1 "Play with ASOBI", 1 "AR Bots", and 1 "AR Hockey")
  • Number of missable trophies: NA
  • Glitched trophies: NA
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: NA
  • Do trophies stack?: While there are no stackable trophies, anyone signed into the PS4 (requires additional Controllers) can obtain most trophies at the same time as the first player
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: NA
  • Additional Note: A Playstation 4 Camera is needed to obtain all trophies in The Playroom. Additionally, two DualShock 4 controllers are required for Wait! Is it one, two and we go on three?, Super Rally!, Lightning Speed!, and Don't try this at home...

Roadmap:

These three steps can be done in any order.

Step One: At the main menu, select "Play with ASOBI". Simply starting the game and releasing ASOBI by rubbing the touchpad as instructed will unlock Lovely meeting you! , Now that you've met your new robot friend, knock him around a few times until he gets angry and hits back. This will net you Eye for an eye . Now give ASOBI some time to think about what he has done: leave the room. ASOBI will get lonely, come back and sit down and he'll be happy to see you again, giving you Honey I'm home! . You're done here now. Move on to another game when you're ready by pressing on your DS4 and selecting Main Menu with the touchpad.

Step Two: At the main menu, select "AR Bots". Before bringing the bots out, swipe down on the touchpad to look inside the controller. Hold the controller steady to stop the bots from rolling around and then press any D-pad or face buttons (, , , ) repeatedly to make the bots dance. This will unlock Secret Night Club . While still inside the controller, cover the DS4's lightbar from the view of the Playstation Camera to obtain Lights out! .

Once you've got those two trophies swipe upwards on the touchpad to leave the controller and then continuosly swipe upward to flick the bots out onto your living room floor until you've got about 10 or so in front of you. Cover your eyes for about 3-5 seconds with your hands and then uncover them to unlock Boo! . The last AR Bot trophy is Flight of the Bot , which a few people seem to have problems with getting. In theory, you can kick around the bots to send them flying into the screen, but this doesn't always seem to work. This trophy unlocked for me when I walked toward the camera to adjust it, so try just taking up as much of the screen as you can before trying to hit them into the screen.

When you're done here leave to the Main Menu for the last step.

Step Three: From the main menu, select AR Hockey. Note that a second DS4 controller is required to play AR hockey. On starting a game you and your partner will obtain Wait! Is it one, two and we go on three? , now when you and your friend are playing, try to keep it going until Super Rally! unlocks (this trophy unlocks during the rally, not after the round). Clicking the touchpad will cause your paddle to flex and then flick out, doing this with the right timing will initiate a 'Boost Attack', scoring as a result of using a boost attack will award the player who scored the Lightning Speed! trophy.
The first player to seven points will win the match and be awarded with The Playroom's finest champagne. Shake your DS4 and then pop the cork by follwing then onscreen prompts to spray the champagne in celebration (keep your mind out of the gutter please, gents). Spray the bubbly right into your TV screen to unlock Don't try this at home ... and if you've been following this roadmap, Master of THE PLAYROOM .

  • Offline: 3 (3)
  • Online: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 15-30 minutes

This is the third DLC pack released for the Playroom, and as with the previous two, and the base game, it is free on the Playstation Store. If the content does not appear from the in game scroll bar despite having downloaded and installed the add-on, reboot your PS4.

Gameplay is very simple, requiring you to navigate an on-rails vertically scrolling track, while shooting ninjas, avoiding obstacles, and collecting coins.

Movement is controlled through the DS4 motion sensor, tilting side to side to dodge, and flicking up to jump. Shooting requires you to swipe up on the

Roadmap

Play the game

Your only objectives are to play the game to achieve a flawless run (do not die), collect over 350 coins in one run, and kill every enemy in a single run. It will take less that 5 minutes to complete a run, start to finish. After a few attempts most gamers should have all 3 trophies.

For the easiest completion, I recommend going for Shuriken Master in co-op, and Minted! solo.

AR Studio DLC:

Roadmap

Overview
  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 1/10
  • Offline: 3 (3)
  • Online: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 10-15 (10 minutes setup, 5 minutes 'play' time)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1
  • Number of missable trophies: None
  • Glitched trophies: None known at this time
  • Does difficulty affect trophies? No, there are no difficulty select options
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies? No cheats known
  • Special Notes: As with the previous DLC and base Playroom game, a PS4 Camera is required in order to play the game, and this time you will also need a smart phone or tablet (iOS or Android based) with the Playstation App installed.
Walkthrough

This is the fourth DLC pack released for The Playroom, and as with the previous three and the base game, it is free on the Playstation Store.

The trophies in this pack are extremely easy to earn, as the DLC is more of an interactive experience than a true game. In fact, the most difficult part will likely be getting set up.

Step 1 - Set up

Before you can go about earning any trophies, you will actually need to do a bit of work to get set up. First off, you may have automatically downloaded the update file for the main Playroom game (depending on how you have set up your PS4). If you have not downloaded the update, do this first.

Next you will need to 'purchase' and install the DLC. Although it is free, it is not included with the update file, so you must activate it from the Playstation Store, as you would with any other DLC add-on.

Similar to the third DLC, this pack often seems to 'glitch' during install. If the AR Studio does not appear on the in game scroll menu, closing the app and rebooting your PS4 should get it to appear.

Lastly, you will need to install the Playstation App on a compatible device. As of writing this, you will need a smart phone or tablet with iOS 6/Android 4 (or above) installed. This app is available at no charge in either iTunes or the Google Play store. Note that the app is not available for the Vita, and if you do not have a compatible device listed above, you cannot access this content or earn these trophies (at this time).

Once you have installed the app, you will need to sync your device with your PS4. There is a tutorial within the app to assist with this, and it should not take more than a few minutes.

You have now completed the most difficult step (seriously), and are ready to earn your trophies!

Step 2 - Trophies

This step is very easy, and should only take a couple of minutes. Refer to the Trophy Guide below for details on earning the 3 trophies from this DLC.

Note that the AR Studio is actually 'played' using your smart phone or tablet, using the "second screen" function.

24 trophies ( 19  23  )

  • Find all of THE PLAYROOM trophies.

Essentially your platinum trophy. Unlock the other 11 trophies to unlock this one.

Secret trophies

  • Release ASOBI into your room.

Simply start up the "Play With ASOBI" game and release him into your living room by rubbing the touchpad as prompted.

  • Punch ASOBI and let him hit you back.

In the "Play With ASOBI" game, punch around ASOBI until he gets mad, his eyes go red, and he retaliates.

  • Make ASOBI lonely and return to him!

In the "Play with ASOBI" game, leave the view of the camera until ASOBI gets lonely. You can tell when he's lonely since he'll take up 75% of your TV screen, his eyes look sad and sad music plays. Upon your arrival this trophy will be awarded.

If there is more than one person in the room, they will all need to leave before ASOBI will get lonely since he can see everyone, not just the player holding the DS4.

  • Play "Peek a boo" with the AR Bots.

In the "AR Bots" game, play "Peek a boo" by covering your eyes for a few seconds before revealing them and yelling "Peek a boo!" (note, I don't know if you actually have to say it. But with a three year old son, I just felt that I had to )

Note that if there is more than one persom in the room, you will all need to play Peek a boo at the same time for the trophy to unlock.

  • Send an AR Bot flying against the screen.

In the "AR Bots" game, kick a bot to send him flying against the screen. This trophy is touchy and works easily for some but not for others. I unlocked it by walking quickly toward the camera. You can also throw the bots by moving the camera around, but if your camera is fixed to your TV, this may not be an option.

Note that shaking the controller while the bots are inside will NOT unlock the trophy. This has to be done while ouside of the controller.

  • Create a little beat routine for the AR Bots to dance to.

In the "AR Bots" Game, while the bots are inside the controller, swipe down on the touchscreen to view the inside of the controller.
Keeping the controller steady, to stop the bots from sliding around too much press any D-pad or face buttons (, , , ) repeatedly to make the bots dance.

  • Turn the lights off inside the AR Bots' home.

In the "AR Bots" Game, while the bots are inside the controller, swipe down on the touchpad to view the inside of the controller. Covering the DS4's lightbar or hiding it from the view of the camera will darken the inside of the controller, unlocking this trophy.

  • Stay synched up and release the AR Hockey playfield.

Note: A second DS4 is required for this trophy.

In the "AR Hockey" game, simply start up a match with a friend by swiping upward at the same time on the touchpad for this trophy.

  • Make a rally last more than 10 hits.

Note: A second DS4 is required for this trophy.

In the "AR Hockey" game, keep a rally going for at least 10 hits for this trophy to unlock. The trophy will unlock during the rally, not after the point is awarded, so just keep going until the trophy pops.

  • Score by using a boost attack

In the "AR Hockey" game, click the touchpad as the ball hits your paddle to initiate a Boost Attack. Scoring a point this way will unlock the trophy. This trophy will only unlock for the person who scored, not both players.

  • Splash the screen during a celebration.

In the "AR Hockey" game, the first player to 7 points will win the match and be given a bottle of champagne to spray in celebration. Follow the on-screen prompts to pop the cork and then aim your stream of bubbly right into the screen. You two down the back, stop giggling. This trophy will only unlock for the person who won the match, not both players.

DLC: Toy Maker

3 trophies

    Secret trophies

    • Create and give 10 toys to the AR Bots using a companion device.

Draw, and throw in 10 random objects. I just made a bunch of random shapes and lines and squiggles.

    • Create a toy on your companion device using at least 5 colours.

All you have to do for this trophy is to take your touch device and draw a shape of some kind using atleast 5 different colors. Once you throw the object into the game (swipe your finger up on the touch device) the trophy should pop.

    • Suck up all toys using the vacuum cleaner.

Press down on the touchpad and suck up the toy you just threw out with the vacuum feature. That's all there is to it.

    DLC: My Alien Buddy

    3 trophies

      Secret trophies

      • Stretch the Alien's face as far as you can.

You will come to a level that prompts you to stretch your buddy, in order to do this you must scroll your fingers left, right, up or down on the .

      • Collect one glowing piece from each of the 4 toy sets.

Play through the levels and collect the glowing items by hitting . You might need to blast stuff out of the way in order to get to it, which can be done by hitting .

      • Dance along with your Alien Buddy and touch 7 stars.

On some levels you will see a glowing disco ball, hit to suck it up. Once done you will come to a dance stage. Now using your controller, aim high and swing it side to side to hit the 7 stars; you may need to do this quickly.

      DLC: Ninja Bots

      3 trophies

        Secret trophies

        • Defeated every single enemy in the ninja course.

          (5)

This trophy requires a 'perfect run'. You must hit and kill all enemies without missing any. It is recommended that you do this in co-op, as each player can focus on one half of the screen. If you intend to do it solo, use both thumbs to increase your rate of fire (swipe up on the ).

Note that the red target boxes do not have to be hit in order to achieve this trophy. The trophy will pop immediately at the end of your run, upon defeating the 'big boss'.

If you do play co-op, both players will receive the trophy on their respective PSNID's.

        • Completed the ninja course without getting hit.

          (1)

To gain this, you simply have to complete an entire run without getting killed. This should not prove overly difficult, as there are not many enemies on screen. Realistically there is more danger from missing a jump and crashing into an obstacle. Most players will likely get this while perfecting their Shuriken Master run.

Note that if you play in co-op and your partner dies, you will still receive the trophy if you have a clean run. The trophy will pop immediately at the end of your run, upon defeating the 'big boss'.

        • Brought home at least 350 coins.

          (1)

Coins can be collected as you navigate through the course, and are also awarded for kills, and for destroying the red boxes. You will lose coins for dying.

It is recommended that you attempt this solo, as there are a limited number of coins and enemies, and the count is not increased in co-op. Thus if your partner is taking half of the coins from kills, you may not be able to exceed 350. (my best co-op score was 349, whereas I was well over 450 playing solo.)

Note that this trophy will pop after clearing the level when you are on the coin tally screen.

        DLC: AR Studio

        3 trophies

          Secret trophies

          • Create a set using at least one object, one controller effect, one visual effect, one mask and changing background music.

Launch the AR Studio application from the scroll bar of The Playroom. On your synced mobile device, you will see a menu with a number of tabs. To earn this trophy, you will need to go into each tab once, and tap on one of the default selections.

Objects Tab - Touch any one of the 3 plus (+) signs along the top, then in the next menu tap one of the colored spotlights to place it in position. If you choose one of the bottom plus signs, you will need to create an object, so the top options are quicker.

Visual Effects Tab - Select any one of the effects to change your AR bot appearance. Note that some of the effects towards the bottom severely pixelate the screen, making it hard to see what you are doing.

Controller Effects Tab - This changes what you can make appear from your controller's light bar. I would suggest selecting the 4th tab, to enter the balloon sub menu. You can then create a balloon - the quickest option is just to swipe your finger across the balloon using the default color, then tapping ok. This will create a new balloon tab in the main menu, which you can now select. This will set you up for You woke up granny!

Masks Tab - This will allow you to place any one of 6 default masks over your face on screen. After tapping your preferred mask, you will enter a sub menu where you can select your face. This can be combined with Mask Quartet if you have your picture(s) or friends nearby.

Music and Sounds - The last tab allows you to change the background music playing. Tapping a tab turns the music on, tapping a second time turns it off. Simply change the background from the default to any other selection.

Once you have done all 5 steps above, the trophy will pop.

          • Give yourself and 3 other people a mask to wear, all at the same time.

Masks are found under the "Masks" tab. Tap on one of the mask styles to activate it, then choose a face to place it on. You will now see yourself on screen, with your chosen mask covering your face.

To get this trophy, you will need to have yourself and 3 other people in the room, visible on screen. Place a mask on each persons' face, and the trophy will pop.

If you do not have 3 other people at your disposal, you can print a picture with faces, or use DVD/Album covers or photos from around your house. As long as the image is large enough for the camera to recognize as a face, you should be good to go. Note that you will need to have all 4 faces visible on screen at the same time.

          • Keep pumping a balloon until it bursts.

Balloons are found under the "Controller Effects" tab. You will first need to create a balloon, then assign it to your controller. First, enter the balloon sub menu where you can change the color, and size of your balloon. The quickest option is just to swipe your finger across the balloon using the default color, then tapping ok. This will create a new balloon tab in the main menu, which you can now select. This will take you to another menu, where you assign the balloon to any one of your active controllers.

You can then launch balloons 'in-game' by pressing , and they will appear out of your light bar.

If you keep pressed down, the balloon will continue to inflate. Simply don't let go until the balloon gets big enough to burst, and this trophy will pop.
