The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon is the first of two narrative expansions to the award-winning RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division. A severed arm and a mysterious message lead the crew of the Unreliable to the Gorgon Asteroid, formerly the site of one of Halcyon's most ambitious and disastrous scientific undertakings, now a lawless den of monsters and marauders. Wealthy recluse Minnie Ambrose tasks the crew with finding answers about Dr. Olivia Ambrose, her mother and the doomed project's disgraced director but they are soon ensnared in an intrigue that will change the colony forever.

In this new DLC, you'll explore new locations, meet new characters, acquire new science weapons, new armor sets and new more powerful variants of existing gear. You will also have an added level cap, up to 3 new levels! Along with the level cap comes additional new perks and flaws that you can use for your character.

The minimum recommended level to play this DLC is 20 so unless you want to restart the game and play two-thirds of it again, it is recommended that you do this DLC after reloading one of your "Point Of No Return" saves. If you haven't played this game at all before, I would suggest playing the main game either until you reach the "Point Of No Return" or you reach level 20.

If you are reloading your save, in order to get the Main Quest, you will need to travel (to anywhere but Tartarus). As soon as you do, you’ll get a call from Halcyon Delivery, then you can begin the DLC.

Step 1: Play the Story Getting Each Ending

During this step, you will need to just play through the story following my detailed instructions in Peril on Gorgon to ensure you are able to get all ending-related trophies without much reloading of save files. Also, get as much phonographs as you can going through this step to save time on the final step. If you missed one, just follow the breakdown of requirements to get that specific trophy (also found in Peril on Gorgon ).

At the end of this step, you will have these trophies:

Family Reunion
Peril at Hand
Synthesize This
The Postman
Greenlight Protocol
NDA Protocol
Peril on Gorgon

Step 2: Lucky's Body & Science Weapons

For this step, you will be looking for Lucky Montoya's body and acquiring the three science weapons in the progress, if you have not gotten them by this point. This will involve completing the Side Quest "A Dialog Between Two Men".

At the end of this step, you will have these trophies:

Lucky Stiff
Special P.E.T. Benefits

Step 3: Phonographs

For this step, you will need to collect any phonographs that you have not found yet to reach the 20 needed for the trophy.

At the end of this step, you will have these trophies:

Good Listener

DLC: Peril on Gorgon

10 trophies

  • Completed Peril on Gorgon on any difficulty.

    Story-related; cannot be missed

There are four different endings to this DLC. Completing any one of them will pop the trophy. There are also four different trophies related to the various endings; however, you really only need to complete two of them. Using save files, you can get all four trophies rather easily on one playthrough.

Below is a breakdown (with spoilers) of the steps to ensure you are able to get all of the trophies without having to replay a much older save or the DLC entirely (or God forbid a new game):

    • Step 1: During "The Red Tape of Command" Main Quest, you must SAVE before picking up Olivia's journal (don't overwrite this file).
    • Step 2: Now, instead of picking up Olivia’s journal, head back to the Unreliable and travel to Ambrose Manor, then kill Minnie. Now, head back to your ship and travel to Gorgon Landing Pad; a man named Lucien will call you after you land. Now, head back to Olivia's journal, pick it up, and complete "The Red Tape of Command" Main Quest. This will pop Synthesize This.
    • Step 3: During the "Ambrose Intersection" Main Quest, you'll have to choose a side between Olivia and Lucien; you'll want to choose Lucien's side. Head toward the objective "Olivia Ambrose" (not the "NDA Protocol"), kill Olivia, then activate the reactor. This will pop Greenlight Protocol.
    • Step 4: After activating the reactor, head back to the ship and talk with Lucien. He'll give you a dead drop location for Olivia’s journal. Head to the planet Byzantium to the map marker (near the Parcel Storage entrance of the Halcyon Parcel Service). A man named Simon will appear. Talk to him (or kill him — I tried and it worked) and the quest will end, which will pop both The Postman and Peril on Gorgon.
    • Step 5: Reload the save file that you made in Step 1. Pick up the journal and then head back to your ship.
    • Step 6: Once you are on your ship, before interacting with the Navigation Terminal, make a backup save just in case something goes wrong. Then head toward the quest objectives that lead you to Minnie at the Ambrose Manor.
      • Note: You must have 150 Persuade skill before heading off your ship towards Minnie. I suggest doing a respec on your skills from the ship. If you don’t have enough skill points, use armor that has high Dialog or Persuade skills (using "Armor Master" Perk will double it) and use Felix’s "Bonus Support Persuade" Perk. Having Parvati and Felix wear armor with Persuade bonuses will help your overall Skill level as well.
    • Step 7: Right after heading up the elevator and destroying a bunch of Mechanical Sentries in a room, make a new SAVE before heading to the large wall-like door. We will be using this save file again later.
    • Step 8: In this step, you'll want to kill Minnie. Head through the door towards the marker. In this step, you want to choose the conversational option " Time to finish this." Then proceed to kill Minnie. After she is dead, head up the stairs to a room with a terminal. Choose the option "[Execute NDA Protocol]" and the trophy NDA Protocol will pop. You do not need to complete the mission (do so if you wish to see how it plays out).
    • Step 9: Reload the save you made in Step 7. This time, you want to make a compromise between Minnie and Olivia. This is where the 150 Persuade skill will come in handy. When talking with Minnie, follow these dialogue options:
      • "Let's talk about this".
      • "What if you and your mother joined forces to cure the marauders?"
      • "[Persuade 65 (60 on easy)] If the marauders don’t get a fix, they'll just rampage across the colony." OR "[Inspiration 65 (60 on easy)] I thought you wanted to help people, not let them die?"
      • "[Persuade 100 (90 on Easy)] Why not give her a chance? She’s been involved with Adrena-Time from the start."
      • "[Persuade 150] The Adrena-Time project failed, Minnie. You couldn’t have saved it."
      • "Opportunities present themselves every day. Your Gorgon will come."
      • "This isn't failure. It’s a second chance to work with Olivia."
      • No other dialogue choices matter from here
    • Step 10: Now that Minnie has accepted to work with Olivia, go to Olivia to convince her to make peace. When talking with Olivia, follow these dialogue options:
      • "Woah, hold on! I'm here to make peace!"
      • "Minnie wants to work with you on a cure for the marauders".
      • "[Persuade 45] You don't. You just have to trust me" or "[Intimidate 45] Why trick you when it'd be easier for me to kill you?"
      • "She said you were invited to tea?"
      • No other dialogue choices matter from here
    • Step 11: Now that you've convinced Olivia to work together, head back to the Ambrose Manor to talk with them; the trophy Family Reunion will pop.

Should you have missed one of the trophies, here is a breakdown of requirements for each:

    • The Postman — You must kill Minnie before picking up Olivia's Journal. Then side with Lucien and do the quest objectives for "Restore Power to the Adrena-Time Synthesizer" resulting in Olivia's death. Then head to Byzantium to finish the Main Quest and get the trophy.
    • Greenlight Protocol — You must side with Minnie and do the quest objectives for "Restore Power to the Adrena-Time Synthesizer" resulting in Olivia's death. You'll get the trophy once you activate the reactor from the nearby console.
    • NDA Protocol — You must side with Olivia and do the quest objectives for "Activate the NDA Protocol" resulting in Minnie's death. You'll get the trophy once you activate the protocol via a nearby terminal.
    • Family Reunion — You must get Minnie and Olivia to compromise and work together. You will need 150 Persuade skill to accomplish this. Talk with Minnie first and follow dialogue options that use your Persuade skill (don't attack her). Now head to Olivia and do the same. You'll get the trophy once you have convinced both and talked to them at the Ambrose Manor.
  • Found 20 Portable Phonographs.

    (Collectible)

See the Phonograph Location Guide for the locations of each Portable Phonograph. Once you've collected your 20th Portable Phonograph, the trophy is yours.

  • Acquired Special Delivery, P.E.T., and Employee Benefits.

    **Possible Glitch**

Special Delivery, P.E.T. and Employee Benefits are the new Science weapons in this DLC.

For a detailed and interactive map to help understand the locations, go here: LINK.

    Special Delivery

    • Location: Gorgon
    • Region: Gorgon Canyon
    • Nearest Fast Travel Point: OCI Upper Exterior
    • Nearest Point of Interest: Marauder Stronghold
    • Special Delivery is a heavy weapon that acts as a rocket launcher (the only one in the game); it is extremely powerful.
    • Glitch warning: Some players have reported Charles not spawning, making it impossible to get Special Delivery. If this happens to you, reload to an earlier save.

In the Marauder Stronghold, you'll meet a Marauder named Charles from Accounting right in the center of it — you can't miss him, since he is wearing a Moon Man helmet... and firing at you with a rocket launcher! You must kill him.

After he is dead, loot his body for Special Delivery.

    P.E.T.

    • Location: Gorgon
    • Region: Gorgon Canyon
    • Nearest Fast Travel Point: OCI Upper Exterior
    • Nearest Point of Interest: Secret Hideout
    • The P.E.T. is a melee weapon that can draw the enemies to you instead of chasing them.

You’ll obtain this as a reward for completing the Side Quest "A Dialog Between Dead Men", which you will acquire by interacting with the Secret Hideout door, which is located Northwest of the "OCI Upper Exterior" Fast Travel Point across a bridge.

After finding the 4 comic book issues, you will need to correctly answer four questions on a terminal (or have a 150 Hack skill to bypass). The answers are as follows:

    • [Sissak Sassafrass, Spindle Knight of Olympus]
    • [His best friend, Frankie Gat the Living Gun]
    • [Tricking Archibald with his dastardly Mind Control Ray!]
    • [With a bold lightning from above!]

Once you have unlocked the door, you can find the P.E.T. lying on a red table in the back. Pick it up, then it is yours.

    Employee Benefits

    • Location: Olympus
    • Region: Olympus Orbital Pharmaceutical Station
    • Nearest Fast Travel Point:
    • Nearest Point of Interest: Station Laboratory (2nd floor)
    • Note: This can be obtained during "The Man in High Orbit" Main Quest.
    • Employee Benefits is a pistol that heals.

On the 2nd floor of the Station, you’ll need to get in the room where the quest marker is. You'll either need to grab the Olympus Orbital Station Keycard in a Southwestern most room on the map or you’ll need 60 Lockpick skill to enter the room.

Once inside, you'll meet Dr. Jasper Low with the Employee Benefits weapon in his pocket. To get it, you can do one of a few things: 1) crouch down behind him and pickpocket the weapon (like the image), 2) loot his corpse after killing him or 3) get it as a reward for completing the Quest objective he gives you.

Once you have all three Science weapons, the trophy will pop.
