Introduction
Welcome to one of the classic arcade rail shooters now on PSN. This game is loads of fun and a challenging 100%. The game is very basic and a playthrough will only run you about 25-30 minutes. You will need at least 4 playthroughs to get all 4 endings.

Playthrough 1 - Beat the game on Very Easy
In this step just play the game normally, you will get all story related trophies. If you achieve a B rank or lower you will get the standard ending, which is ending 1.

Playthroughs 2-4 - Beat the game focusing on getting A or S ranks 3 more times on Very Easy
Here is where you will fight for the rest of the endings. You can do this in either Time Attack or Survival. You will need to get at least an A rank or higher overall at the end of the game to achieve the other 3 endings. When given the choice of 3 levels to play after you complete chapter 1, make sure you choose a different last level each playthrough while getting the A rank or higher to get the endings.

Clean-Up
Focus on getting the SS Rank for "Special Agent" or complete Time Attack

12 trophies ( 8  )

  • Rated as "SPECIAL AGENT" in Final Result.

This is the mother of the House of the Dead 3 trophies. To get a Special Agent ranking you need to play the game from beginning to end (Free Play Survivor) getting an overall SS Rank. To get the SS rank you need to have 4 S Ranks and 2 A Ranks between the 6 chapters (Chapter 0 to 5). Here are some tips:

#1 - Accuracy counts, try not to miss or go for shots when you are moving too much
#2 - Go for headshot, they give more points and kill faster and you might get Twin Shot bonuses.
#3 - TIME MATTERS, seconds can mean everything, try to complete the level as fast as you can
#4 - Shoot zombies when they are down, it helps you move quicker and you get points doing so
#5 - Score matters to some degree, I was going for all hidden score items I could.
#6 - Always be shooting bosses (except Fool) because it adds to your score even if you deal no damage.
#7 - Avoid getting hit, this greatly reduces your score.
#8 - USE ALL 4 TRIGGERS ON THE DUALSHOCK 3. Hitting L1, R1, L2 and R2 at the same time will make you shoot 4 shells at once. This is critical to beating the bosses without getting hit.

Those tips in mind, to get the S rank you will need to make sure you don't fail the rescue sequences in that chapter, get a lot of headshots, have good accuracy, complete the level as quick as you can and avoid getting hit (you can take hits but it will significantly decrease your chance to get S ranks. You can pretty much avoid hits until Curien, where you can take a few hits and still get the S rank).

  • FATE

    Clear all 4 endings.

Here is what you need to do to get all 4 endings:
    Ending 1 - Get a B rank or below.
Ending 2 - Get an A rank or higher and make sure the last chapter before Curien you choose is the Death boss
Ending 3 - Get an A rank or higher and make sure the last chapter before Curien you choose is the Sun boss.
Ending 4 - Get an A rank or higher and make sure the last chapter before Curien you choose is the Fool boss.

  • Clear Time Attack Mode.

This is one of the 3 hard trophies in the game but it's not really that bad. The trick to clearing this mode is speed (obviously) and NOT GETTING HIT. What I mean by this is: do not care about headshots or accuracy. Just focus on killing as many zombies as you can because you get time for killing enemies and you lose time when you get hit. Hidden items (in barrels, boxes, etc) will be clocks that add 7 seconds to your timer so it is worth shooting them when you have the chance to see if clocks are there. Also the rescue sequences will net you 10 seconds if you succeed at them.

  • Complete all RESCUE Scenes.

These sequences will vary depending on the order you play the levels, I found the easiest was playing them in order (Entrance > Fool > Sun > Death). There are a total of 7 rescue sequences, one in chapter 1 and 2 each in the 3 selectable chapters. You'll probably get this without even trying but just make note of when the sequence is going to happen to prepare yourself. You can practice on free play with chapter select. What I did was position my reticule when I knew a sequence was coming up so I could take out the first zombie no problem. Make sure you kill them before moving to the other zombie or else you will definitely fail the rescue.

  • Clear CHAPTER 0.

This trophy is story-related and cannot be missed.
Play through freeplay mode on survivor for your first playthrough from the beginning of the game (chapters set to ALL) and you will get this and all other chapter trophies.

  • Clear CHAPTER 1.

This trophy is story-related and cannot be missed.
    See the REMINISCENCE trophy.

  • Clear CHAPTER 2.

  • Clear CHAPTER 5.

This trophy is story-related and cannot be missed.

  • Destroy a Mecha Zombie.

The easiest place to get this is in chapter 4A (or if starting from the beginning of the game, take "Entrance" in chapter 1, then play the "Fool" boss level and then the "Sun" boss level leaving "Death" for last). After you encounter the vultures on a narrow bridge passway (enemies will jump down after the vultures) there is a barrel to the left as you move across the bridge. A zombie with a saw will saw the glass you are approaching, ignore him and shoot the barrel and shoot the hell out of the wind up toy (Mecha Zombie) that comes out of it. Killing it will net you 3000 points and this trophy.

  • Complete a "TWIN SHOT".

This will probably be the first trophy you get, it's almost unmissable. All you have to do is kill 2 zombies with 1 shot. Easily done when aiming for the head when a hoard is approaching you
