Welcome to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 7. Billed as the conclusion to the Mishima saga, the game contains a brand new Story Mode chronicling the events leading up to the final showdown. Purists need not worry as the game also includes a traditional arcade mode based on the final arcade iteration of the game as well as robust network play.

The game continues the series tradition of having very straight-forward and simple trophy requirements. This time around there is no Nightmare Train to get stuck on, and the road to Tekken Lord has been replaced with the significantly shorter journey to 12th Dan. As such, with this guide at your disposal, it should hopefully not be a question of if but when you get your trophy for Tekken 7.

The Rage mechanic was originally introduced in Tekken 6 and would give any player that was down to their last bit of health a nice damage boost. This has been tweaked for Tekken 7, where entering Rage now also grants the player an opportunity to unleash either a Rage Art or a Rage Drive. The former is a super move that can potentially turn the tide in your favour, but it can just as well leave you wide open for a deathblow should your opponent block it. The latter is more like an enhanced special move, but the penalty for missing isn't as high.

As with every other fighting game, there is no set order in which you have to obtain most of its trophies. However, you can save a lot of time by following the walkthrough below.

Step 1: Practice

There are a lot of trophies which can be obtained right away in Practice mode, so head over there first. You need to perform a set number of each move type. This includes the Rage moves, power crushes, screws and homing attacks. You will also need to deal 70+ damage in an air combo, perform three 10 hit combos and block five Rage Arts. As you're working your way through these trophies, you will also get closer to the 50,000 hits required for the actual Practice mode related trophy.

At the end of this step, you will have obtained the following trophies:

No Pain, No Gain
There's Nowhere To Run. Give Up!
I'll Kick Your Butt To Hell And Back
Just Relax, You Can Do It
Elegance At Its Purest
Power Is Everything!
Overdrive!
We Settle This Now!
Anger Of The Beast
Sturdy And Indestructible

Step 2: Main Story and Character Episodes

The Story Mode is very straightforward. You will spend a great deal of the time watching cutscenes, which will occasionally transition into actual gameplay. In order to advance the plot you need to win each and every one of these matches. After watching the Epilogue, you will unlock a Special Chapter for Main Story followed by individual Character Episodes. Clear the Special Chapter along with ten of the Character Episodes to get your paws on the final Story Mode related trophy.

At the end of this step, you will have obtained the following trophies:

You Think You're Tougher Than Me?
Let's Do This
You Challenge Me?!
I Can't Accept This Fate
It's Time For You To Meet Your End!
I Demand To Know The Truth!
Lightning Of Fate
Master Of Iron Fist

Step 3: Treasure Battle

Next, it's time to work on your offline battle rank. Your goal is to earn the rank of Warrior, also known as 12th Dan. This will take you around 60 wins. At least three of them have to be consecutive for a trophy. You also need to win against 20 characters with a rank higher than your own, which should come naturally as you play.

In addition to the treasure boxes, you will also earn Fight Money with each victory. Before reaching the rank of Warrior, you will most definitely have obtained at least 10,000,000G and 50 treasure boxes.

Last but not least, Special Matches will occasionally appear in this mode. Make sure you win three of these. If you've followed the walkthrough so far, you will already have unlocked the opportunity to trigger Special Matches against characters other than Kazumi. Winning one of these against her and Akuma will also net you additional trophies, but these can also be obtained by beating said characters in Arcade Battle, where they randomly alternate between serving as the final stage boss.

At the end of this step, you will have obtained the following trophies:

Instant Annihilation
Wow, I'm Pretty Strong!
Cool!
I've Finally Found You!
The Prosperous Inevitably Decline
Fear My Wrath
This Should Be Fun
Your Technique Is Impressive
Roar! (Nice Moves!)
Hot-Blooded Fighter
Don't Hold Anything Back
It's Just Business
Excellent

Step 4: Online

There are three online modes: Player Match, Ranked Match and Tournament. You only need to win a single match in each of these and fight ten online matches in total to get your hands on all of the online trophies in this game. Should the competition online prove too much for you, know that all of these trophies can easily be boosted.

At the end of this step, you will have obtained the following trophies:

Yeah! I Did It!
Not Bad
Okay! I'm Ready!
Come And Get Some, I Dare You!

Step 5: Clean-up

At this point, chances are you've already obtained most if not all of the remaining trophies through natural play. If not, these include fully breaking through the four multi-tiered stages, winning a perfect match, winning a great match and winning with a Rage Art five times.

At the end of this step, you will have obtained the following trophies:

Don't Take It Personally
You Fought Well
Stun Gun!
Destructive Drive
Crushing Impact!
Going Somewhere?
Please Don't Tell My Father
I'll Get Everything Back!

43 trophies ( 13  26  1  )

  • Acquired all trophies.

Congratulations on obtaining the platinum trophy!

  • Won a ranked match online.

Choose Ranked Match from the online menu. From here, set your desired Rank Restriction and Connection Quality. When you're done, select Begin Search. You will now be in Warm-Up mode as the game tries to find other players to match you up with. Eventually, an opponent will be found. Select either Yes to accept the match, or No to cancel it. As of patch 1.02, you are still able to see the PSN ID of every new challenger you come across, making this trophy fairly easy to boost with a friend.

  • Won a player match online.

Choose Player Match from the online menu, then pick either Quick Match to get paired with a random opponent, or Search Session to bring up a list of players currently looking for a fight. The latter option makes this trophy easy to boost with a friend. You can also pick Create Session if you want others to find you instead.

  • Won a battle in online tournament.

Choose Tournament from the online menu, then pick either Quick Tournament to get paired with random opponents, or Search Tournaments to bring up a list of registered tournaments currently looking for participants. You can also pick Create Tournament if you want to set your own rules, including making it private. The latter option makes this trophy easy to boost with friends.

Note that a tournament requires at least 4 participants. Also note that you do not need to win the actual tournament, just a single match in this mode.

  • Fought ten online battles.

All you have to do in order to obtain this trophy is to go online and fight ten times. It can be done in any online mode and winning isn't a requirement.

  • Won three times consecutively in Treasure Battle.

It takes quite a while before the CPU actually starts to become aggressive and smarten up, so you're very likely to obtain this one naturally as you're fighting your way through the lower ranks. Should you struggle with this, try spamming Kazuya's Roundhouse to Triple Spin Kick (,,,).

  • Won three special matches in Treasure Battle.

Special Matches will show up randomly as you play in Treasure Battle. According to the game itself, they are triggered by your win streak. They can show up after as few as three consecutive wins if you're lucky. Do note that while you will occasionally get thrown into matches with certain rules, such as Turbo Battle, Double Damage Battle and Heist Battle, these are not Special Matches. Also keep in mind that while Special Matches do appear in other modes, these do no count towards this trophy.

Should you struggle with this, try spamming Kazuya's Roundhouse to Triple Spin Kick (,,,).

  • Watched the epilogue of the main story.

Play through the Main Story from beginning to end (14 Chapters and an Epilogue) and these trophies will pop along the way. Should you run into any trouble, feel free to set the difficulty level to easy and make use of the Story Assist feature exclusive to this mode.

  • Finished three Character Episode stories.

    See Lightning Of Fate.

  • Finished 10 Character Episode stories.

As soon as you finish the Main Story, you will unlock the Character Episodes. These consist of one match per character, along with short prologue and ending movies. You only need to clear ten of these in order to obtain this trophy.

  • Dealt 50,000 damage in Practice mode.

Pretty straightfoward. It's cumulative, so it doesn't have to be done in a single sitting.

A lot of the trophies in this game can be obtained in Practice mode, so it is highly suggested you take advantage of the opportunity to kill multiple birds with one stone. You can also set Player Rage to On and Player Attacks (Counter Hit) to Multiple Counter Hits in the Other Settings for a slight damage boost (thanks to MisterX867 for this tip). The Other Settings can be accessed by pressing the Options button to bring up the pause menu and from there press R1 three times to bring up the corresponding tab.

Another quick method can be seen in the video below (thanks to HollowIchigo92).

  • Obtained 20 treasure boxes.

    See I've Finally Found You!

  • Obtained 50 treasure boxes.

Each victory in Treasure Battle will award you a treasure box. You might occasionally get more than one as a bonus for keeping a win streak or achieving a perfect victory. These will usually contain items for character customization, but may also contain additional Fight Money. You will undoubtedly obtain this trophy on your journey towards the Warrior rank.

  • Beat Akuma in an Arcade Battle or a Special Match in Treasure Battle.

Akuma will randomly appear as the final stage boss in Arcade Battle. To trigger a Special Match with him in Treasure Battle, you need a win streak and some luck as he is but one of multiple potential Special Matches that can be unlocked after clearing Story Mode.

If you're having trouble adjusting to Akuma's unique play style, try sidestepping to avoid getting hit by his projectiles.

  • Beat Devil Kazumi in an Arcade Battle or a Special Match in Treasure Battle.

Devil Kazumi will randomly appear, more often than not, as the final stage boss in Arcade Battle. To trigger a Special Match with her in Treasure Battle, you need a win streak and some luck.

  • Achieved a perfect victory. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

To achieve a perfect victory is to win a single round without taking any damage. You will most likely get this naturally at some point. Should it give you trouble, you can easily boost it with a friend in any online mode.

  • Achieved a great victory. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

To achieve a great victory is to win a single round with only a sliver of health left. You will most likely get this naturally at some point. Should it give you trouble, Should it give you trouble, you can easily boost it with a friend in any online mode.

  • Dealt 10 homing attacks. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

A homing attack is one that cannot be evaded with a sidestep. Bring up the Move List for your character and look for a move with a blue icon next to it - for example, Lars' Chevron Slash (+). Perform this move ten times and the trophy shall be yours.

  • Dealt 70+ damage in an air combo. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

If there wasn't any juggling involved, it wouldn't be Tekken. To juggle is to land a launcher (an attack that has the opponent flying up into the air) and then keep him/her airborne by means of a combo. You need to reach 70+ damage dealt in such a combo to obtain this trophy.

Another way to do this is to simply land a Rage Art on an airborne opponent (thanks to MisterX867 for this tip). As such, you might want to do this while you're working towards We Settle This Now!.

  • Performed three 10 hit combos. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

Every character has a few standard 10 hit combos up their sleeve that can be accessed from their Move List. Yoshimitu's 3rd 10 hit combo is perhaps one of the easiest ones for beginners to perform (,,,,) . All of the hits don't actually need to connect in order for the combo to register. Just performing the full combo three times should be enough for the trophy to pop.

An example of another easy 10 hit combo using Lili can be seen in the video below (thanks to rmchiva925).

  • Triggered 10 screws. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

A screw is a move that will send an airborne opponent spinning down. Bring up the Move List for your character and look for a move with a green icon next to it - for example, Lars' Spinning Cutter (). Perform this move ten times on an airborne opponent and the trophy shall be yours.

  • Dealt 10 power crushes. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

A power crush is a move that will absorb mid and high attacks. You will still take damage, but your attack will not be stopped by it. Bring up the Move List for your character and look for a move with a red icon next to it - for example, Lars' X-Ray (++). Perform this move ten times and the trophy shall be yours.

  • Dealt 10 Rage Drives. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

Rage Drives are enhanced special moves that can be activated during Rage. Some characters don't have one specific input to memorize, but instead have multiple special moves that can turn into a Rage Drive by adding a specific button combination at the tail end.

Lars is one such character. His Rage Drive needs to connect from Silent Entry, a stance which can be achieved with a handful of different special moves in his arsenal, such as Claw to Silent Entry (+,).

To make things easier, you can go into the Other Settings in Practice mode and set Player Rage to On. The Other Settings can be accessed by pressing the Options button to bring up the pause menu, followed by pressing R1 three times to bring up the corresponding tab. Perform this move ten times and the trophy shall be yours.

  • Dealt 20 Rage Arts. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

Rage Arts are powerful super moves that can be activated during Rage. You will know that you've entered Rage once you see red flames appearing around your character. All you need to do is to press the corresponding input for your character (shown during the vs. screen and can also be found at the top of your Move List). For example, it's + for Lars.

To make things easier, you can go into the Other Settings in Practice mode and set Player Rage to On. The Other Settings can be accessed by pressing the Options button to bring up the pause menu, followed by pressing R1 three times to bring up the corresponding tab. Perform this move 20 times and the trophy shall be yours.

  • Snatched victory from the jaws of defeat 5 times with Rage Art. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

For this trophy, you need to win five times with a Rage Art. This means both you and your opponent must be low on health, to activate Rage and be able to ensure that the Rage Art is the killing blow. Each character has their own input command to trigger their Rage Art. For example, it's + for Lars.

  • Got promoted to 1st dan.

    See Hot-Blooded Fighter.

  • Got promoted to Initiate.

    See Hot-Blooded Fighter.

  • Got promoted to Brawler.

    See Hot-Blooded Fighter.

  • Got promoted to Warrior.

This is most efficiently done in Treasure Battle. Pick a character that you feel comfortable with and work your way towards the Warrior rank, also known as 12th Dan. Without too many losses, this should only take about 60 victories. Should you struggle with this, try spamming Kazuya's Roundhouse to Triple Spin Kick (,,,).

  • Dealt an overall total of 1,000 damage while in rage mode. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

The easiest way to obtain this trophy is to simply set Player Rage under Other Settings in Practice mode to On and start beating up the training dummy until it pops. The Other Settings can be accessed by pressing the Options button to bring up the pause menu, followed by pressing R1 three times to bring up the corresponding tab.

  • Blocked 5 Rage Arts. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

This is most easily achieved in Practice mode. Go into Other Settings, which can be accessed by pressing the Options button to bring up the pause menu, followed by pressing R1 three times to bring up the corresponding tab. Scroll down to the fourth option, Opponent Rage, and set it to On. Then go back to the first tab (Action Settings) and choose CPU Opponent Action 1. Set this to Repeat Action and and the option below, Repeat Action 1, to Record. You will now be in control of your opponent.

Press + to start the recording process. Perform its Rage Art. For example, it's + for Lars. Just to give an example. Press Options to end the recording. Back out of the pause menu and press + again to make your opponent start performing Rage Arts at regular intervals (thanks to DEATH775 for this tip). As soon as you see a Rage Art being activated by your opponent, press and hold back to block it. Do this five times and the trophy is yours.

Alternatively, if you have a second controller, you can set CPU Action 1 to 2P Controller and have it perform the move whenever you're ready (thanks to ptr362 for this tip).

  • Defeated 20 opponents of a higher rank.

This will happen naturally as you work your way towards the Warrior rank, since you will eventually reach a point where defeating higher ranked opponents is required in order to receive new promotion chances. Unlike Tekken Tag Tournament 2, you have no say in which opponent shows up next.

  • Performed a floor-breaking move. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

    See Going Somewhere?.

  • Performed a balcony-breaking move. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

See Please Don't Tell My Father.

  • Reached the bottom floor of the Forgotten Realm stage. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

Pick the Forgotten Realm stage and deal enough damage to it that you will fall down to the bottom floor. This will most likely happen to you naturally as you play.

All the steps can be seen in the video below (thanks to rmchiva925).

  • Reached the deepest part of the Jungle Outpost stage. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

Pick the Jungle Outpost Stage and destroy the balcony to reach the lower floor. From there, destroy the wall to get access to the other side of the floor.

All the steps can be seen in the video below (thanks to rmchiva925).

  • Obtained an overall total of 5,000,000G.

    See Excellent.

  • Obtained an overall total of 10,000,000G.

10,000,000G might sound like a lot, but it really isn't. The game will give you 3,000,000G right off the bat, no strings attached. Another 3,000,000G is given to you as a reward for clearing Story Mode. An additional million can then be obtained per mode cleared for the first time. Lastly, you can increase the amount of Fight Money earned via Treasure Battle and online matches by keeping a win streak. Note that this trophy is cumulative, meaning you do not need to possess the entire figure all at once.

Secret trophies

  • Finished the Special Chapter of the main story.

After beating the Main Story, a Special Chapter featuring a match with a certain Street Fighter character is unlocked. Beat him and the trophy is yours.

If you're having trouble adjusting to Akuma's unique play style, try sidestepping to avoid getting hit by his projectiles. However, his final move will undoubtedly take a lot of players by surprise. When down to his very last sliver of health, he will perform his Rage Art. This is a scripted move and is thus unblockable. You must counter it with your Rage Art, activated by simply pressing R1 before his hits, or you will lose.
