Welcome to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 7. Billed as the conclusion to the Mishima saga, the game contains a brand new Story Mode chronicling the events leading up to the final showdown. Purists need not worry as the game also includes a traditional arcade mode based on the final arcade iteration of the game as well as robust network play.
The game continues the series tradition of having very straight-forward and simple trophy requirements. This time around there is no Nightmare Train to get stuck on, and the road to Tekken Lord has been replaced with the significantly shorter journey to 12th Dan. As such, with this guide at your disposal, it should hopefully not be a question of if but when you get your trophy for Tekken 7.
The Rage mechanic was originally introduced in Tekken 6 and would give any player that was down to their last bit of health a nice damage boost. This has been tweaked for Tekken 7, where entering Rage now also grants the player an opportunity to unleash either a Rage Art or a Rage Drive. The former is a super move that can potentially turn the tide in your favour, but it can just as well leave you wide open for a deathblow should your opponent block it. The latter is more like an enhanced special move, but the penalty for missing isn't as high.
As with every other fighting game, there is no set order in which you have to obtain most of its trophies. However, you can save a lot of time by following the walkthrough below.
Step 1: Practice
There are a lot of trophies which can be obtained right away in Practice mode, so head over there first. You need to perform a set number of each move type. This includes the Rage moves, power crushes, screws and homing attacks. You will also need to deal 70+ damage in an air combo, perform three 10 hit combos and block five Rage Arts. As you're working your way through these trophies, you will also get closer to the 50,000 hits required for the actual Practice mode related trophy.
At the end of this step, you will have obtained the following trophies:
No Pain, No Gain
There's Nowhere To Run. Give Up!
I'll Kick Your Butt To Hell And Back
Just Relax, You Can Do It
Elegance At Its Purest
Power Is Everything!
Overdrive!
We Settle This Now!
Anger Of The Beast
Sturdy And Indestructible
Step 2: Main Story and Character Episodes
The Story Mode is very straightforward. You will spend a great deal of the time watching cutscenes, which will occasionally transition into actual gameplay. In order to advance the plot you need to win each and every one of these matches. After watching the Epilogue, you will unlock a Special Chapter for Main Story followed by individual Character Episodes. Clear the Special Chapter along with ten of the Character Episodes to get your paws on the final Story Mode related trophy.
At the end of this step, you will have obtained the following trophies:
You Think You're Tougher Than Me?
Let's Do This
You Challenge Me?!
I Can't Accept This Fate
It's Time For You To Meet Your End!
I Demand To Know The Truth!
Lightning Of Fate
Master Of Iron Fist
Step 3: Treasure Battle
Next, it's time to work on your offline battle rank. Your goal is to earn the rank of Warrior, also known as 12th Dan. This will take you around 60 wins. At least three of them have to be consecutive for a trophy. You also need to win against 20 characters with a rank higher than your own, which should come naturally as you play.
In addition to the treasure boxes, you will also earn Fight Money with each victory. Before reaching the rank of Warrior, you will most definitely have obtained at least 10,000,000G and 50 treasure boxes.
Last but not least, Special Matches will occasionally appear in this mode. Make sure you win three of these. If you've followed the walkthrough so far, you will already have unlocked the opportunity to trigger Special Matches against characters other than Kazumi. Winning one of these against her and Akuma will also net you additional trophies, but these can also be obtained by beating said characters in Arcade Battle, where they randomly alternate between serving as the final stage boss.
At the end of this step, you will have obtained the following trophies:
Instant Annihilation
Wow, I'm Pretty Strong!
Cool!
I've Finally Found You!
The Prosperous Inevitably Decline
Fear My Wrath
This Should Be Fun
Your Technique Is Impressive
Roar! (Nice Moves!)
Hot-Blooded Fighter
Don't Hold Anything Back
It's Just Business
Excellent
Step 4: Online
There are three online modes: Player Match, Ranked Match and Tournament. You only need to win a single match in each of these and fight ten online matches in total to get your hands on all of the online trophies in this game. Should the competition online prove too much for you, know that all of these trophies can easily be boosted.
At the end of this step, you will have obtained the following trophies:
Yeah! I Did It!
Not Bad
Okay! I'm Ready!
Come And Get Some, I Dare You!
Step 5: Clean-up
At this point, chances are you've already obtained most if not all of the remaining trophies through natural play. If not, these include fully breaking through the four multi-tiered stages, winning a perfect match, winning a great match and winning with a Rage Art five times.
At the end of this step, you will have obtained the following trophies:
Don't Take It Personally
You Fought Well
Stun Gun!
Destructive Drive
Crushing Impact!
Going Somewhere?
Please Don't Tell My Father
I'll Get Everything Back!
