Chauffeur Trophy in Tearaway Unfolded

  • Chauffeur

Safely deliver the Misplaced Gopher everywhere she wants to go

    How to unlock Chauffeur

The Misplaced Gopher is an "extra thing to do" in the following levels:

    • St Swithin's Moor
    • Grocer's Bar
    • Gibbet Hill
    • Crash Site
    • Coggage Cove
    • The Lab
    • The Caverns
    • Between the Pages
    • The Desert
    • The Tear

You have to transport the gopher back to her home in each of these levels without losing your stamp! It can prove to be quite frustrating as messing up once can jeopardize the run. I recommend getting acquainted with the level first by playing through it normally and then trying to transport the gopher on your second run. You can try to transport her on your first run through the level, I did it successfully on a few levels, if you choose so. There are videos in the Collectible Guide to show you the path you must take to safely deliver the Misplaced Gopher back home. Good luck and be patient! Remember that you can use her as a weapon too!

Here is another helpful piece of information regarding the Misplaced Gopher, by missmolotov:
"You shouldn't need to restart the whole chapter if you lose the misplaced gopher. If you press then , you will restart from the last checkpoint. That should reset the gopher and put it back to its first position. If you just die and spawn at the last checkpoint, that won't work. Then you can backtrack from there and pick her up again. Which may or may not be practical, depending on which level it is and how far through it you have got."

Please refer to Tearaway Unfolded - Present, Extra Things, Papercraft - Collectibles Guide if you need some extra help.

You can also check out this thread Tearaway Unfolded - Misplaced Gopher Mini Guide. It goes into quite a bit of detail and has very good information about the Misplaced Gopher.

  • I'd rather have a no-death trophy over this one -.-' because the no-death you only have to worry on stay alive and go through the level, and this one you will to worry about you and the freaking gopher which can be attacker by scraps and although they can't kill it it can be pushed off of cliff by bouncy scraps and that'll make you restar the entire level because it won't re-spawn there like you do.
  • Fuck this gopher, seriously.
  • I don't mind dying and starting over but when I enter combat and I put him down to the side, he always disappears after the combat is over. Could he be dying or falling off the side? He doesn't respawn after that, which is really annoying. :(
  • Fuck this gopher and fuck the assholes who put this gopher in the game.
  • Here is my video guide with all the gophers. ( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTQLFNcQjecMk7muW9LjK1UKp_ki3BgHj ) If you perish, press restart the last save. Sometimes you find yourself near a gopher, or you have to go back to it on the backside.
  • This is the real assholery right here, Goddamn.
  • No way is this game a 3/10 and these gophers are going to cost 3 gold and a plat.....i did the eaay one taking it to the squeakeasy but the rest....you have to travel too far and 1 mistake and its a restart.....im not even attempting it.
  • At least the misplaced gopher is only for a certain section of a level, and we don't need to beat entire levels without dying. A lot of cheap deaths in both versions due to the environment or shoddy platforming.
  • OMG, fuck that gopher! Don't even ask me what name I gave her.
  • Seconding the hate in comments 2, 4, 6, and 9. I've lost cost how many times I've attempted "The Caverns". I have no idea how I'm going to do the "Between The Pages" and "The Tear" levels. It would be one thing if you could restart from her spawn point, it's another thing entirely to make us restart /t h e e n t i r e l e v e l/. That doesn't make it "more challenging", it makes it infuriating and a waste of time. I don't mind having a deliver cute woodland creature to it's house element, I mind having it designed so you're forced to /get/ to the gopher again, too. >:(... Other than that I /really/ like this game!
  • Ok here is my 2 cents. After reading the comments about the gophers i was prepared to curse alot and retry alot of times. Once i finished all the lvls i started going for the remaining presents, confetti and scraps. Meanwhile, i decided to do the gophers first because why not get rid of the hardest trophy. I HAVE NO CLUE why people find these gophers so hard to do? Yes i had to restart between the pages 5 times before i got the gopher to the finish, but all the others were done in 1 go. This is basic gaming imo. It has a certain difficulty, but nothing bad a normal decent gamer couldn't handle. So for those who are planning on starting this game and going for the platinum, DO NOT WORRY. The people in the comments overreact over the gopher trophy. Just dodge alot and use the wind and light
  • By the way the only way to keep track of which levels you have completed is to check that all the blue gifts are complete. The gopher symbol on the level just shows that there is a gopher on the level but it doesn't get a check mark like the other icons.
