Introduction:
Sword Art Online: Lost Song is the sequel to the game Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment. This series is based on the anime and light novel but knowledge of the series prior to this game is not required to understand the story. Lost Song overall has a much quicker and easier than Hollow Fragment. Much less grinding is needed and nothing is missable. Credit to Aeirou for some of the info contained in this Guide.

NOTE: This guide is based on the localized version of the game for PS4. While the Asia region version has English subtitles, the translation is slightly different in that version compared to the localized version. Therefore, some names of quests, equipment and attacks may be different.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete the main story on Easy difficulty while levelling up any one Sword Skill, Magic Skill, or Special Skill to Level 500.
In this step, just casually play through the main story while completing any side quests you run into. Also, make sure to stick to using only one Sword Skill, Magic Skill, or Special Skill. You will need to level this skill up to Level 500, so it’s best to start early. Don’t worry too much about buffs or advantage of elements because the game is already easy enough. To make things even easier, you can play the game on Easy as difficulty does not affect trophies. Note that the difficulty is by default set to Normal and can only be changed at the main menu.

Make sure to also open any treasure chests you come across, as some of them will contain weapons or accessories which you will need for the “Weapon Collector” and “Accessory Collector” trophies.

Try to complete all of the heroines' side stories while you’re at it. See the respective A Deeper Bond trophies for more information on this. Also, drop by the weapon shop every now and then to complete festival events for the Ki-bo's a Playah trophy.

If you followed this step carefully, you will have the following trophies at the end of this step:

Welcome to Alfheim Online!
Fairies in the Sky
The World of the Black Fairies
The Youthful Goddess
The Red-head in the Shadows
A Paradox of Light and Darkness
Battle of the Knights of the Tri-blade
Lies
Intertwined Desires
The Dark World
The Twilight of the Gods
The Two Idols
We're Not Done Yet!
Let's Start With a Test Run
A Deeper Bond: Leafa
A Deeper Bond: Silica
A Deeper Bond: Sinon

Step 2: Complete 100 side quests, 100 Extra Quests, any remaining character events and level up skills.
In this step, you will want to complete any remaining character events for the A Deeper Bond trophies and the Ki-bo's a Playah trophy. Most of the grinding will be done in this step as well. First, you will want to recruit Sumeragi for the A Worthy Rival trophy, which you can then use to finish off any remaining grinding. Next, complete the requirements for the Sword of Kings trophy. At the end of this step, you will have the following trophies:

Ki-bo's a Playah
A Deeper Bond: Lisbeth
A Deeper Bond: Asuna
Swordmaster
Spellmaster
Skill Master
Skill Maniac
Contractor
Bounty Hunter
Sword of Kings

Step 3: Clean up.
In this step, clean up any trophies you might have missed. Don't worry if you missed any character events, as all of them will reappear post-game. At the end of this step, you will have the following trophies:

Super Player
All These 100,000 Yuld Mithril Pieces...!
Accessory Collector
Weapon Collector
Annihilator of Enemies
A Game Where You Can Die Is Too Easy!
Can I Get a Raise?

43 trophies ( 18  23  26  )

  • Earn all trophies. "You are an excellent fighter. The best I have ever seen."

Unlock all of the other trophies to get this one.

  • Complete your first side quest.

    Refer to the Contractor trophy.

  • Complete a total of 100 side quests.

There are less than 100 total side quests in the game so completing the same ones over and over again will count towards this trophy. The fastest side quests to complete are the Gathering quests. If you explore all the dungeons thoroughly and you’ve defeated a lot of enemies, you will have enough materials to turn in for some of these side quests several times. This trophy will pop as soon as you pick up your reward from completing your 100th side quest. You will be grinding out weapon skill level at the end of the game for the Skill Maniac trophy. It is recommended that you take the meteoric and mythril ore gathering quests, as well as the Jelly and Lemure hunt quests for the Nibelheim area. There is a field of Jelly enemies on the western side of the map that are very easy to kill with basic attacks, and these 4 quests can be finished in this area. Return to the quest hall to turn in every so often so you can stack the hunt quests for completions.

  • Complete a total of 100 Extra Quests and/or Multiplayer Quests.

You will most likely need to grind this trophy post-game. There are less than 100 total Extra Quests in the game, so completing the same ones over and over again will count towards this trophy. The fastest Extra Quest to complete is “Challenging the Dragon”, and will take no more than 10 seconds to complete if you’re in post-game. This trophy will pop as soon as you pick up your reward from completing your 100th Extra Quest.

  • Complete a total of 10 side quests, Extra Quests, and/or Multiplayer Quests with a party consisting of any single character.

Make sure you have no teammates and then go to the tavern. Choose the Gathering quests as these are the fastest to complete. Complete any 10 side quests, and this trophy will pop. You can repeat the same one over and over again for this trophy.

  • Complete an Extra Quest without taking damage.

I recommend until you are in post-game to go for this trophy because then you will be strong enough to defeat certain bosses in one hit. The easiest Extra Quest is “Challenging the Dragon”. This trophy will pop as soon as you pick up your reward.

  • Resurrect a party member who has become a Remain Light.

There are a few ways you can get this trophy. You can use an item called “Dew of Yggdrasil”, which revives any downed teammate. You can also use a spell to resurrect your teammates, but note that only certain teammates can learn this spell, such as Asuna and Sumeragi.

  • Collect 100 different weapons, not including shields.

    (Collectible)

While progressing through the game, thoroughly traverse every dungeon and open every treasure chest you come across. You will likely only have about 60-70 weapons by the end of the main story. A lot of rare weapons can be acquired through drops from bosses in Extra Quests or through winning matches in the PvP arena in post-game. To higher chances of obtaining a rare weapon drop, make sure to equip the ability that increases the chance of an enemy dropping a rare item. Kirito has this ability as well as the upgraded version of it, so it’s best to play as Kirito when farming weapons while having these two abilities equipped. Don’t forget to have all the weapons identified by Lisbeth in the weapon shop. You can also buy a few weapons from Agil in the weapon shop if you still don’t have this trophy. Make sure you don’t sell any weapons as you must have 100 unique weapons at the same time, either on you or in your warehouse.

  • Collect 50 different accessories.

    (Collectible)

While progressing through the game, thoroughly traverse every dungeon and open every treasure chest you come across. You will likely have about 40 accessories by the end of the main story. In the weapon shop, Agil sells more than 50 different accessories so buying most of the accessories from him should award you with this trophy.

  • Raise a weapon's Enhancement Level to its maximum.

Inside the weapon shop, you can enhance weapons by talking to Lisbeth. Each time you want to enhance a weapon, there will be a percentage of success in upgrading the weapon. You can use pretty much any material to upgrade any weapon, but higher quality materials will have a higher success rate in upgrading. The Divination is the easiest weapon to upgrade. The maximum level for a weapon is 10, so this trophy will pop once you have a weapon reach that level.

  • Raise a single Sword Skill to level 500. *OSS included.

This can be a huge grind if you don’t start early. Pick any one Sword Skill and stick to it for the whole game until it reaches Level 500. You should have this by the end of the main story or at least be very close if this is your playstyle. I recommend just sticking with Kirito’s default + "Sharp Nail" attack because it requires the least amount of MP. You can grind the other trophy, Spellmaster, after. This will go much faster because your teammate will already have their Magic Skill or Special Skill at around Level 400 or even at Level 500.

Level ups for weapons levels, weapon skill levels and spell levels are all based off of total damage done with the specific attack so when you're grinding levels for a weapon type or a skill, it's important that you are using the skills or weapons on monsters that aren't high in defense or resistant to your damage type.

  • Raise a single Magic Skill or Special Skill to level 500.

In order to use spells, your weapon must be sheathed. Tap to sheathe your weapon and Hold to access the spell menu in combat. To grind this quickly, it's important to use the same spell repeatedly. For spells like Ice, Fire and Dark, the cast becomes faster as the spell levels up. It's recommended that you use spells as much as possible during bosses because they have a large amount of health to grind away on.

  • Learn every possible Sword Skill, Magic Skill, and Special Skill for a single character.

To learn all skills in the respective category, your character must reach Level 400 overall in that category. Sword Skill levels up by using the basic or attacks. Using the skills will not level up the overall Sword Skill level. Magic Skill and Special Skill levels up by your overall level so you must reach an overall level of 400 to learn all the Magic Skills and Special Skills.

This trophy will require that you reach 400 weapon skill is 3 different weapons, as well as reach character level 400 on a single character. Each character can only use their different weapon types. These types can be viewed in the "Status" tab of the character menu, as well as the current levels for each type on that character. • Have more than 1,000,000 Yuld.

This will come naturally while going for the platinum trophy. If you somehow still don’t have this trophy by the time you have all the other trophies, then complete some of the Extra Quests that reward you with 300,000 Yuld.

  • Defeat 5 or more enemies at the same time with a single attack.

This trophy should pop while naturally playing through the game. However, if you’re struggling, go to the very first area and fly around to group a bunch of enemies together. Then use your Attack Skill to wipe out all of the enemies.

  • Defeat 1,000 enemies over the course of the game.

This trophy will be a massive grind if you rushed through the main story, but if you took the time to complete side quests and level up a lot, then you should get this trophy easily. If you don’t have this trophy by the time you complete the main story, keep playing the Extra Quest “Deceit” until this trophy pops. This Extra Quest has a ton of enemies and doesn’t take too long to complete each run. However, make sure to equip abilities that speed up recovery from negative status ailments as the enemies will put you to sleep very often.

  • Create a party that includes your own custom character.

You will be given the opportunity to create your own character once you defeat the Fafnir boss. Go to the tavern to create your character. This trophy will pop once you add your new custom character to your party.

Story-related and cannot be missed. See below for when this trophy should unlock:

This trophy will unlock after you defeat the boss in the centre of Nibelheim. There are 4 dungeons that you will need to clear before you can take on this boss in the PS3 and PS Vita versions. On the PS4 version, you can fight the boss immediately without having cleared any dungeons. However, the more dungeons you clear, the weaker the boss gets. So I highly recommend you clear all the dungeons anyway.

  • Reach the story chapter "The Two Idols."

Story-related and cannot be missed. See below for when this trophy should unlock:

This trophy will unlock after you defeat Seven, who is the final main boss of the game.

  • Complete all main story chapters. "We still have a lot more gaming left to do!"

Story-related and cannot be missed. See below for when this trophy should unlock:

This trophy will unlock as soon as you complete the game. There will be a fight with Rain in Woglinde that you will need to complete.

  • Complete Asuna's side story. "Stay with me forever, Asuna."

While progressing through the game, you will sometimes find events marked as blue dots on your map. Some of these events are characters’ side stories. Asuna, Leafa, Silica, Lisbeth, and Sinon all have trophies attached to completing their side stories. The side stories for Leafa, Silica, and Sinon can all be completed during the main story, but Asuna and Lisbeth have events that only appear after the main story has been completed. You will know a character’s side story event is ready when they have an “!” floating above their head. Don’t worry if you miss some of these events because they will keep reappearing until they are completed. Some of these events have boss fights in them, so make sure you are prepared.

  • Complete Leafa's side story. "I hope that I'll always get along with Sugu."

Refer to the A Deeper Bond: Asuna trophy.

  • Complete Silica's side story. "I won't tell anyone what happened here today."

Refer to the A Deeper Bond: Asuna trophy.

  • Complete Lisbeth's side story. "We're going to forge a lot of memories together, whether you like it or not."

Refer to the A Deeper Bond: Asuna trophy.

  • Complete Sinon's side story. "Sinon is an indispensable part of this team, and an important friend."

Refer to the A Deeper Bond: Asuna trophy.

  • Go to the festival with all the game's heroines. "This's a sweet scoop!"

Every now and then, drop by the weapon shop to take some heroines to the festival. There are four main times where you can take heroines to the festival. These are the times where you will first be able to take specific heroines to the festival:

    • After defeating Fafnir: Asuna, Silica, Lisbeth
    • After meeting Rain for the first time: Leafa, Sinon, Yui
    • After reaching the third main island: Philia, Strea
    • After completing the main story: Rain, Seven

If you somehow miss a festival event, it will reappear in the future.

  • Befriend Sumeragi.

You can only recruit Sumeragi once you complete the main story. Go to the Woglinde area, and go the blue dot up north at the top of a floating island. Talk to Sumeragi here, and he will join you.

  • Complete a side quest, Extra Quest, or Multiplayer Quest with a party consisting of Kirito and Asuna.

Create a party with only Kirito and Asuna, complete any side quest, Extra Quest, or a multiplayer quest, and this trophy will pop once you pick up your reward. Note that your party must consist of these members from the time you start the quest, and swapping out characters at any point will void the trophy.

  • Complete a side quest, Extra Quest, or Multiplayer quest with a party consisting of Kirito, Klein, and Agil.

Refer to the It's Just Like Old Times trophy.

  • Complete a side quest, Extra Quest, or Multiplayer Quest with a party consisting of Silica, Lisbeth, and Leafa.

Refer to the It's Just Like Old Times trophy.

  • Have the character you are controlling reach 0 HP and become a Remain Light.

Go into any area and put the controller down while enemies attack you. Once you die, this trophy will pop. If your teammates keep healing you and prevent you from dying, go to any island solo. You will more than likely get this trophy naturally, though.

  • Raise Asuna, Yuuki, Rain, and Sumeragi's OSS to level 100.

Each character has an OSS, which is a unique skill that costs 2000 MP to cast. Keep playing Extra Quests that are 9 or 10 stars in difficulty for the fastest grinding. Make a party consisting of 3 of these members and bring lots of items with you that restore MP. Also, make sure to only keep the OSS equipped on the AI characters so that they don’t waste time and MP using their other skills. Some characters only get their OSS near the end of the game or after completing their side stories, so you unfortunately won’t be able to start working on this trophy early.

  • Obtain Excalibur.

After completing the main story, a bonus dungeon called "The Ruins of Fjorn" will open in the last area you unlock. Go to the northernmost dungeon in Nibelheim and defeat all the bosses. Make sure to take a lot of healing items with you because you will need to fight three consecutive boss fights at one point. At the end of this dungeon, you will fight Seven. Make sure to equip abilities where chances of rare item drops are increased because there’s a chance she will drop the Excalibur weapon. If she doesn’t, you can fight her again in the “Maddening Song of Peace” Extra Quest. However, this time she will keep regenerating her health and will have extra enemies flying around her. If you are having trouble with this fight, just spam your OSS or Level VI skills while frequently restoring your MP with items. Once you get the weapon, make sure to identify it by talking to Lisbeth in the weapon shop for the trophy to pop.

It's highly recommended that if you are not playing on Easy difficulty that you switch to Easy difficulty before doing the Extra Quest called Maddening Song of Peace. Also, use Sumeragi as your main character and repeatedly use his O.S.S. on the boss to counteract her regenerating health.
