To convince you can use any of your units. Place them adjacent to the enemy unit you want to persuade and use the ?? [Convince] command. You will enter a battle style section, which will result in a blue smiling face if you were able to recruit or a red angry face if it was unsuccessful.

Here is a list of what influences the chances of recruiting an enemy unit:

• The enemy life must be low, i.e. orange color or even better on red;
• The ?? [Charm] stat of your unit. The higher, the better;
• The ?? [Loyalty] stat of the enemy unit. The higher, the more resistant he will be to change sides;
• The amount of Towers you have conquered in the stage compared to how many the enemy still has;
• The amount of units you have in the map compared to how many the enemy has. Having more units than the enemy is a great plus;
• Even if the enemy resists your tentative, keep trying to persuade so that eventually he will break and join you.

A good tip: If you need to lower the enemy HP, but do not have any attacks that would not kill him, use a unit with the ???? [Mercy] spirit command (costs 1 SP). With this spirit command effect on your unit, you can attack the enemy, so that if the attack would have destroyed the enemy, he will survive with 1 HP. So always have a few units with this spirit command, so that you do not get in situations where you want to convince an enemy unit, but cannot because of their HP is low, but not low enough.

For this trophy you need to convince successfully 50 or more units in a single playthrough. Usually every stage has between 10-20 enemies. Instead of destroying all of them, try to convince them (even the stage bosses though not the ending bosses like ????? [Pikudoron] and ?????? [Girugirugan]). Although your units do not get EXP for convincing, the new allies are great reinforcements (quantitative and qualitative) for the stage and usually they have higher level then your units, so you can use them for the next stage with no problem.
