Introduction:

Land wars is the sequel to the Space invader-esque Super Destronaut DX. However, this time you ditch your spaceship for some more up close-and-personal first person shooting. Just like its predecessor, it is a very easy game that can be beaten in about half an hour to an hour.

Walkthrough:

The trophies can be gotten in any order. This is the order in which I got mine, but you do not need to follow it if you don't want to. On the Vita version, I suggest you increase the aim sensitivity in the options as the default setting is rather slow in my opinion.

Step 1: Arcade Modes

Arcade mode is made up of five different modes. Classic, Hardcore, Maximum Strength, Combo Breaker and Snail Mode. Each has their own trophy for reaching a certain score. The modes have slight differences but none are particularly challenging. After reaching the target score, let the enemies kill you for the trophy to pop.

Trophies earned during this step:

Starting easy
The Hard Way
Combo Breaker
Increasing difficulty
Slow as Snail

Step 2: Challenge Mode

After finishing Arcade mode, it's time for Challenge mode. There are 30 challenges available of which you need to get a rank on 15. Getting a rank means to finish the challenge within a time limit. This is no hard feat and you will most likely get a rank on your fist try. For which challenges to do, I recommend to just do the first 15 as they are all easy.

Trophies earned during this step:

Starting an invasion
Killing poor creatures
Destroying villages
Eradicating cities
Conquering unknown planets
Planter Conqueror
Platinum Alien

    Sigourney Weaver would be proud.

  • Complete at least one challenge with a ranking.

There are a total of 30 challenges in the game and you need to rank 15 of those challenges. Getting a rank means to finish the challenge within a time limit. There are three ranks (Gold, Silver and Bronze) and getting any of them will do. This is not difficult at all and you’ll most likely get it on your first try. You can do any challenge you like, but I recommend to just do the first 15 as they are all easy.

  • Reach to 300.000 points in Classic Mode.

Classic mode is the standard game mode with no gimmicks. You can buy upgrades at the shop with coins collected form defeated enemies to make it easier. Other than that, the strategy is to strafe and jump to avoid the enemy fire. If you avoid getting hit, you will also build a combo, which is displayed on the bar beneath the score, which acts as a multiplier, increasing your score when killing aliens.

  • Reach to 30.000 points in Hardcore Mode.

In Hardcore mode there are more mobs and stronger enemies, but other than that, it isn't that different than Classic mode and thus the strategy is basically identical. You'll need to reach 30.000 points for the trophy, but it won’t take long.

  • Reach to 100.000 points in Combo Breaker.

In this mode you'll start with a full combo meter, the bar below the score, and you must keep it above zero otherwise you will die. To keep it up, you'll need to quickly kill aliens and pick up coins. You also need to try to avoid getting hit as taking damage will lower both your health and your combo meter.

  • Reach to 125.000 points in Maximum Strength.

In Maximum Strength mode, you will start with all the upgrades already active and will have a rocket launcher. However, the challenge here is that you can’t recover health, so make sure to keep an eye on your health bar while playing this mode. Once you reach 125.000 points, the trophy will pop.

  • Reach to 30.000 points in Snail Mode.

Snails are slow and so are you! In Snail Mode, you'll move quite slowly and you also cannot jump, so focus on strafing to avoid damage. Other than that, it is very easy and 30.000 points aren't that much, so it won’t take long to reach.
