Stories Untold is a collection of four playable short stories, called episodes, with a somewhat creepy tone. What’s special about it is the way you will experience those stories through a small variety of different gameplay styles. Most of it will have you figuring out how to handle machinery and then using it to complete a few tasks.

I recommend playing through blind, but themindisacity has written a trophy walkthrough to help: LINK.

Step 1: Play through the game, meaning all episodes, while paying attention to the four missable trophies.

While the game is very short, reading about the trophies will not spoil anything much for you, so you might just as well do so before starting and get them all in one go. Each episode has three trophies, and the only episode without a missable trophy is episode three.

During this step, you will gain the following trophies (in order):

Photos Of Another Time (missable)

Heart Starter
The Chart (missable)

Correct Response
Stretch Those Legs
A Warm Place

Cleansed (missable)
Time To Remember (missable)
Stories, Told

Step 2: Clean-up

In case you missed a trophy, select the episode it can be gained in and replay that. Each of the trophies is self-contained, meaning they can be gotten at one specific time and not across several moments of or even the whole game.

    • Find the photographs.

Episode 1. The photos in question are in the large wardrobe in the sister’s room. Input the commands: Look Around, Open Wardrobe, Look Photographs.
    • 1986

      Find the code.

      Story-related, can’t be missed

Episode 1. You will need the code to proceed. Find it in the kitchen in the second part of the episode. Input commands: Go Kitchen, Look Around, Read Writing.
    • Finish Episode 1.

      Story-related, can’t be missed

You get this for completing the first episode.
    • Get things up and running.

      Story-related, can’t be missed

Episode 2. As part of the series of experiments you conduct, you will eventually make a heart start beating and that’s when the trophy unlocks. You are told exactly what and when to do by the game, so don’t worry about it.
    • Learn more about yourself.

Episode 2. You can get this near the end of the episode, once the text adventure gameplay starts. Once you are out of the wreckage and can go towards the figure, input commands: Go Figure, Look Around, Read Writing.
    • Finish episode 2.

      Story-related, can’t be missed

You get this for completing the second episode.
    • Respond to the messages correctly.

      Story-related, can’t be missed

Episode 3. You will get this shortly before the second part of the episode starts, once you entered all the correct lines when prompted to do so. The correct lines can all be found in the microfiche data. Finding them is the core gameplay activity of this section and getting them wrong at first does not invalidate the trophy. You will need to enter everything correctly to proceed eventually but if you are struggling, all of the answers are in the walkthrough for the episode: LINK.
    • Get out of the station.

      Story-related, can’t be missed

Episode 3. You get this once the second part of the episode starts.
    • Finish episode 3.

      Story-related, can’t be missed

You get this for completing the third episode.
    • Be hygiene conscious in Ward 4.

Episode 4. When wandering the hallway, you can notice two red disinfectant dispensers mounted on the walls. Simply go up to and use one to get this trophy.
    • Find all recordings in Ward 4.

Episode 4. The recordings are audio cassette tapes placed throughout the area. You will need to pick them all up before proceeding to the next part of the episode. There are only four in total and all relatively close.

One is on a cabinet in the observation room, one can be found on a chair in a patients’ bedroom, one is located on another file cabinet in a storage room and one is on a bedside table in the pre-surgery room.
    • Finish Episode 4.

      Story-related, can’t be missed

You get this for completing episode 4 and thus, the game.

While the whole game is pretty straight forward and most of the time even tells you what to do, there is one moment in this episode that will probably stop a lot of players so here is what to do.

You will have to enter a numerical code and the code is being broadcast, so listen closely once you adjusted the prompted frequency setting. Now the code starts with 20F and that’s the confusing part: you must completely ignore the 20F part of the code and only enter the numbers that come after it (what sounds like A6 is actually 86).
