Introduction:
Solitaire for PS4 is a collection of three variations of the popular Solitaire card games (also know as patience): Spider, Klondike and FreeCell. The trophy list is straightforward. You just need to play each type of Solitaire games a few times. However, the game is filled with bugs and glitches and the 100% is currently unachievable.
Important issues:
- The Master of Spider Solitaire trophy is glitched and unobtainable for everyone right now.
- The game does not have a proper save file. Closing the application or turning off your PS4 will erase your progress. This means that you have to do Master of Klondike Solitaire, Master of FreeCell Solitaire and Master of Solitaires in one sitting.
- Amateur of Klondike Solitaire and Amateur of FreeCell Solitaire might just be glitched but I consider them missable. You will need to close and reopen the application if you mess up while trying to get these trophies.
Basics:
If you're not familiar with Solitaire in general or just a specific variation of it, the game has a "How to play" section in the main menu. It also provides some good tips for all 3 kinds of Solitaire.
Below, you will find the controls list and a few extra tips about them.
Controls:
- - Undo action (used only in Klondike and FreeCell)
- - Redo action (used only in Klondike and FreeCell)
- and - Move the cursor
- - Select card(s)
- - Hint
- - Pause
Extra tips:
- Do not hesitate to restart a game if you want a better starting layout or if you're stuck. To restart, just press then select the second option.
- This can only be done in Klondike and FreeCell but if possible, double-clicking on a card will automatically put it in the stacks of cards in top-right corner.
- You can get a hint by pressing . It will use some of your points (indicated at the top of the screen) and show you one possible move you can do. Most of the time it isn't helpful and you won't make any progress but it can show you something you overlooked.
Walkthrough:
Note: Since there are 3 different types of Solitaire in this collection, you are free to choose the order in which you want to play them. In my opinion, difficulty-wise, Spider Solitaire is the hardest one and FreeCell is the easiest.
Step 1: Spider Solitaire
Since Master of Spider Solitaire is unobtainable, you only need to play Spider Solitaire in beginner and intermediate level.
During this step, you should earn:
Beginner of Spider Solitaire
Amateur of Spider Solitaire
Step 2: Klondike Solitaire
If you want to get every trophy in one go, do not use undo in your first won game and be sure to win 5 games in the same session. During this step, you should earn:
Beginner of Klondike Solitaire
Amateur of Klondike Solitaire
Master of Klondike Solitaire
Step 3: FreeCell Solitaire
If you want to get every trophy in one go, do not use undo in your first won game and be sure to win 5 games in the same session. If you played and won at least once in all 3 variations of solitaire, you should also get Master of Solitaires. During this step, you should earn:
Beginner of FreeCell Solitaire
Amateur of FreeCell Solitaire
Master of FreeCell Solitaire
Master of Solitaires
