A locket has been stolen and it’s up to Elizabeth to investigate the dastardly deeds of a wealthy socialite and prove her fiancé is not a thief in Snark Busters: High Society! A mixture of Hidden Object puzzles and brain teasers, Snark Busters will keep you busy for hours! It has a good story line which will keep you entertained as you search for clues to discover the truth!

Before you start, keep in mind the 5 missable trophies: Courage and TenacityMaster of SecretsAttentive ViewerNeed for SpeedWorthy of Admiration and Lawful PlayerIt is possible to get all the trophies in one playthrough.

There is a great walkthrough guide at BigFish Games (Snark Busters: High Society Walkthrough, Guide, & Tips | Big Fish), but it does not have all of the reading material needed for Master of Secrets. Check out that trophy description to find out what the requirements are.

If you miss any of the trophies, replaying the game is not that bad – especially if you’ve already done it once. The game itself is rather quick, but the first run always takes some time since it’s the first time you’re collecting the items for the sets. Each subsequent walkthrough will be quicker.

Step 1: Complete the game on Expert Mode while going for missable trophies

When you start a New Game, select the “Expert Mode” option and play through the game. When asked if you would like to learn how to play the game, hit NO. Complete the game. Try your best not to use any Hints or Skip any of the Cutscenes. Read all of the Newspapers, Notes and Diary Entries and don’t skip any of the puzzles. At the end of this run, you will have:

  •  Triumph of Justice
  •  Courage and Tenacity
  •  Passion and Hatred in the Theater
  •  Bold Experiments
  •  Dispersing Shadows of the Past
  •  Master of Secrets
  •  On Snark Paths
  •  Attentive Viewer
  •  Sleight of Hand
  •  Need for Speed
  •  Lawful Player
  •  Worthy of Admiration

Step 2: Clean-Up

If you missed any of the trophies on your first playthrough, you’ll have to start over again. The game itself takes about 3 hours to complete, but will get quicker with each playthrough you need to do.

12 trophies ( 7  )

  • For completing the entire game on advanced difficulty

If this is your first playthrough, hit PLAY at the Main Menu, otherwise hit NEW GAME. When prompted choose “Expert Mode”. This is the advanced difficulty. Play through and complete the game. This trophy will pop during the credits.

  • For completing all mini-games without skipping any

There is a timer at the bottom of the screen during all of the puzzles (not the Picture Search section), when the timer runs out, it will give you the option to skip the puzzle. Do not skip any puzzles during the entire game for this trophy.

  • For helping Romeo and Juliette

Story related, cannot be missed. In Chapter 2, you’ll end up in a rundown theatre. Romeo and Juliet are the two ghosts in the theatre, one of which doesn’t quite realize he’s dead. Once you help them find the evidence, you will earn this trophy.

  • For subduing the stubborn plant

Story related, cannot be missed. In Chapter 3, you’ll need to put a robot back together. Once you have taken care of the plant behind the robot's eyes, this trophy will pop.

  • For saving the former pirate, now a sensible miller

In Chapter 4, you’ll come across a less than thrilled ex-pirate. Once you help him with his windmill, this trophy will pop.

  • For reading all notes, diaries and newspapers

FYRWURM has compiled a list of everything you need to read. I had to play this game a few times and can confirm that everything you need is on this list. The list is shown below and the original post can be found here: Master of Secrets.

Some of them are likely unmissable and I'm not sure if they all contribute to the trophy, but I am including everything just to be sure. I have ordered the list in what should be the order that you will first encounter each of them.

    1. In drawer - look at photo album, there are 2 pages, forward and back, click on all photos

    The Entrance
    2. In mailbox - read newspaper
    3. On balcony - read crumpled newspaper
    4. In mailbox - after cutting open parcel, read note
    5. After solving heart shaped box - look at 3 photos before collecting negative
    6. After collecting negative - read note that arrives

    The Theater
    7. After solving angels and demons puzzle - read note
    8. In dressing room - read rolled note in basket of flowers
    9. In music room chest - read personal diary

    The Park
    10. After assembling payphone - read note
    11. After robot shoots balloons - read note
    12. After assembling robot in chair - read schematic

    The Floating Islands
    13. After inspecting the crow's nest - look at picture
    14. After placing the skull in the pirate locket - read note

    The Duchess' Mansion
    15. On the table by the diary - read newspaper
    16. After restoring fireplace - read newspaper on desk
    17. Use small key to open diary - read diary
    18. After opening window for pigeon - read note
    19. After playing new record - read note
    20. After restoring note from pigeon - read note

  • For visiting the mirror-world 100 times

You will most likely not get this naturally in one playthrough, but it is possible if you go for it. The Mirror-World is Backwards World. You can first visit this world in Chapter 2, inside the Floating Garden. Travel through the portal 100 times to get this trophy.

  • For watching all cutscenes without skipping any

You’ll need to go through the entire game without skipping any cutscenes. You skip these by hitting . My best advice is to just put the controller down whenever a cutscene starts. One always starts after the "Develop each Negative" to start the next level. You can skip the in-game dialogue if you want.

  • For finding all the items in the daisy in sequence without missing any

Story related, cannot be missed. You will get this in Chapter 1 for finding all of the keys that open up the Dresser. You cannot finish the level without completing this set.

  • For completing any mini-game in 30 seconds or less

The mini-games are also the puzzles, the first of which can be found in Chapter 1 when you go to develop the film. Enlarge the picture in less than 30 seconds to get this trophy. You will have many other opportunities to get this. This place is just the first.

  • For completing the game without being punished for random clicks

If you’re using the walkthrough, you shouldn’t miss this since the guide tells you where to click for everything. If you’re not using a guide, you cannot randomly click all over the place while looking for items to complete sets. You will know you’ve clicked too many times in succession when bubbles appear all over the screen. You will have to restart the game if this happens.

Tip: If you’re working on 1 set, but find yourself clicking a lot, you can back out to the previous scene or go through a portal to reset the clicks. You can also pick up an item from a different set (if you know it belongs to one) to reset the click counter as well.

  • For completing the game without using hints

When starting a new game and you are asked if you would like to learn how to play, select NO. You can use hints all throughout the game by hitting  however pretend as if this button does not exist on your DS3 as you will not need it for the entirety of the game. If you hit  at all, you will have to restart the game to get this trophy.
