Introduction:

First off, this is my very first guide, so don't be TOO harsh with the feedback . Skylanders Spyro's Adventure is all about these guardians called Skylanders. These Skylanders were apparently living creatures on their home planet, but an evil Portal Master froze them and sent them hurling too Earth's stores . Now our duty is to bring them back to life with the Portal of Power to defend their lands once again.

Remember, have fun! It's an easy so just play casually. As for any trophy 'glitches', suppose you meet a requirement for a Skylander specific trophy (Ex. Climb to the Top and you don't get the trophy. Don't fret, all you have to is press and go to the right-most tab and select the Ownership feature.

Step 1: Battle Mode

Before you set off on your journey to greatness, go play a match or two in Battle Mode. It is a good way to learn the ropes such as how to attack and move around. The first time I played, me and my sister played Battle Mode and instantly got the hang of things (Yep, it's that simple). Also, you'll not only learn how to play the game, but pick up the only trophy not involving Adventure Mode, The First Battle

Step 2: Adventure Mode

If you want to speed through this game and only care about the AND don't want to spend any extra money on Skylanders, skip this paragraph and go to the next. Congratulations! You actually got the game to play! I HIGHLY recommend you get a Skylander from each element, so that's 5 more adding to the 3 starting Skylanders. Having all elements increases your Skylander experience, and is a good way to see which Skylander suits you best. I personally like Stealth Elf as she is a very good Skylander to play with. Now, about Adventure Mode, just play through the game as you normally would, not caring about trophies.

Okay, so you want to go through this fast and do not want to spend any extra money than needed. Understood. What you want to do is pay really close attention to level specific trophies, as some require you to play through the whole entire level until the boss, which is quite tedious if you fail without knowing. My only advice to you is use Gill Grunt. Don't bother with the other two.

Step 3: Clean Up

If you read the second paragraph of step 2, skip down to the conclusion. Now that you have completed the game, go back and hunt down those chapter specific trophies. Once that is done, just collect all the collectibles and there you go! Platinum.

Conclusion:

All in all, this game is fun and should not be rushed through. I myself enjoy this a lot more than I expected I would (I loved playing Spyro and Crash Bandicoot on my PS) and had a fun time playing.

I don't want to ruin the ending for you, so, the only real thing I can tell you is use Gill Grunt.

    See One For All!

  • Get 3 stars in any one level.

I suggest you get this trophy in Chapter 1. The very first time you play, collect everything. The only tricky part is the magic elemental gate. All you have to remember is keep pushing the turtle when prompted to do the second time around. Now your second go on this level will just be a speed run. You will get the trophy after all three stars are acquired.

  • In the Leviathan Lagoon level, dodge 30 sharks without being hit.

At the boss battle at the end, Kaos will send out 2 waves of sharks. The first wave is a tricky one, but try your best to stay in the middle/left of the screen. In order to dodge the sharks, it needs to be going in slow motion and you need to be gaining health. The second wave will come and simply stay on the bottom left of the screen and stay still. This trophy will pop as soon as you dodge 30 sharks IN A ROW (without getting hit). If you happen to not get the trophy, you can purposely die and choose to restart the mission, which will restart you at the beginning of the boss fight.

  • In the Falling Forest level, defeat Evil Ent while more than 5 of Evil Ent's seeds are on the field.

In the boss fight, wait until Kaos sends out the Skylander that resembles Stump Smash. He spits out seeds in two attacks: one big one that goes straight in front of him and two small ones that split up and go to the left and right. Simply damage him until you are certain you can kill him in one hit (or two) and wait until there are at least 6 seeds circling the arena. Kill him and the trophy is yours.

  • Defeat Kaos' Evil minions in the Lava Lakes Railway level with only Gill Grunt's Power Hose.

It is highly recommended you upgrade Gill Grunt's Power Hose to it's best. The only attack button you have to use is the button. Simply finish the fight only using . If you happen to hit anything else, or think you might have, just die and restart the chapter. It will restart you at the beginning of the fight.

  • Avoid being hit by the laser traps during the boss fight in the Creepy Citadel level.

In the boss fight in Chapter 17, Kaos will summon three waves of laser traps. Each wave is easy just take the time to learn the patterns of the lasers (You can die on purpose and choose to reset the chapter and it will send you to the beginning of the boss fight). The only real challenge is when he sends out all three Undead Skylanders AND the laser traps. Just take out Vex first and leave Chop Chop last.

  • Defeat Kaos without swapping Skylanders during the battle.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU USE A LEVEL 10 SKYLANDER. This is probably the hardest trophy in the game (In my opinion). Just stay in the back and shoot the Skylanders/Kaos from a distance until he is no longer able to battle. The trophy will pop after you finally defeat Kaos.

  • Defeat 30 enemies while riding the War Machine in the Arkeyan Armory level.

As soon as you are in the giant human like thing, just destroy everything in your path. Just press and punch everything into Oblivion. As soon as you finish riding the War Machine, the trophy will pop.

  • Never use any rocket in the Falling Forest level.

In Chapter 11, there will be a point in the level where they introduce you to rockets. Completely ignore that and destroy the saws with long ranged attacks. If you happen to pick up rockets, just avoid touching the button. The trophy will pop at the end of the level.

  • Get swallowed by the Leviathan 5 times in the Leviathan Lagoon level.

In Chapter 4, you start out the level next to some islands, simply change into Gill Grunt (Or any water skylander) and go into the water. Wait until the shark-like thing comes into view and eats you. In order to get out, spray his uvula and he will spit you out. Repeat the process 4 more times and you will get the trophy as soon as he spits you out the 5th time.

  • Destroy all of the rocks in the Molekin Mine level.

This one is a sort of tricky one. Just destroy each rock COMPLETELY and the trophy is yours. There are some rocks behind the Tech Gate and some by the lake.

  • Complete the Troll Warehouse level without getting injured by the landmines.

In Chapter 12, there will be apart where you have to collect parts of the map to the mine field. Follow the red dotted path and do NOT go for the treasures, you will pick them up as you go, so stay on the path until you reach the end. The trophy will pop as soon as you make it to the other side.

  • Complete the Crystal Eye Castle level without being hit by any of the rolling barrels.

In Chapter 8, there will be 4 times where enemies will throw rolling barrels, and the first 3 are at the beginning of the mission. Simply use long range attacks to destroy the barrels until you reach the enemies and kill them. Use that strategy for the next 3 times enemies throw barrels and the trophy will pop as soon as you complete the level.

  • Complete your first challenge level!

At some point in the game, Cali will talk to you about Challenges. Simply talk to her and she will give you a list of challenges to complete. Complete one and the trophy is yours.

    See Can't stop me

  • Complete 3 Challenge levels.

Now that you've completed your first challenge received from Cali, complete the other two remaining and the trophy will be yours.

  • The first time you purchase an upgrade for your Skylander.

At some point in the game, the fairy girl will talk to you about dancing and buying upgrades. Just go talk to her and make sure you have at least 1,000 dollars and then buy your first upgrade.

    See Gotta buy them all

  • Purchase all upgrades for any one Skylander.

Simply buy all the upgrades for one Skylander. After buying a certain amount of upgrades, you will be prompted to choose paths, just choose one and buy all the upgrades and the trophy is yours. You will also need to collect the Soul Gem for that Skylander. It will take about 15,000+ money to buy each upgrade. The fairy will tell you when there are no more upgrades.

  • Level up any one Skylander to level 10.

You will get this by normal playthrough. If you somehow did not get this by the time you beat Kaos, just keep playing through the last level until you get to level 10. You level up by collecting the orbs that appear after killing enemies. Some enemies (Such as Kaos' Skylanders) will give off more orbs (or xp) than others. Keep killing and collecting the orbs until you reach level 10.

  • Collect 10 Hats.

You can get this trophy by Chapter 16. You can get the hats with in Chapters 1, 2, 6, 7, 10, and 16. The hats are collectibles in which you can put on your own Skylander. Each hat has a specific boost into different areas, such as attack or speed. Collect 10, and the trophy is yours.

  • Have your Skylander equip a hat for the first time.

Simply equip a hat after you obtain one. Once you find a hat, it will ask you to either wear it or not, just say yes and the trophy is yours. You can get this in Chapter 1.

  • Unlock any Elemental Gate.

Whenever you see a gate looking thing, there will always by a symbol on it. Simply use a Skylander to that corresponding gate and the trophy will unlock. You can get this trophy in Chapter 1.

  • Defeat 15 Chompies in the Shattered Island level.

Unmissable as without defeating all 15 Chompies, you will not be able to progress though the level. No worries.

  • Open any treasure chest.

Very hard to miss. In Chapter 1, you will run pass a treasure chest. Use to break the locks off the chest and the trophy is yours.

  • Collect 10 Story Scrolls.

You can get this trophy by Chapter 12. You can get the Story Scrolls in Chapters 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 12. The Story Scrolls are collectibles that a story, or describe a certain object. They are nothing more to your Skylander than paper that can't be used. Collect 10 of them and the trophy will pop.

  • Collect 10 Legendary Treasures.

You can get this trophy by Chapter 16. You can get the Legendary Treasures in Chapters 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, and 16. Legendary Treasures are oddities in which they are nothing more to your Skylander than the Story Scrolls are. They are most likely references to other games. Collect 10 of them and this trophy is yours.

  • Collect 10 Soul Gems.

You can get this trophy by Chapter 10. You can get the Soul Gems in Chapters 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. Soul Gems are very special collectables that have a specific Skylander's face on. Each Soul Gem contains a special power for that corresponding Skylander. It will even tell you where the Soul Gem is located in the Skylander shop for that specific Skylander. Collect 10 of them and the trophy is yours.

  • Play and complete any PvP match: win or lose.

This is the first trophy you will be going for. Not only is it an easy trophy, it is a good way to learn the ropes of the game AND it also gives you the only trophy not having to do with Adventure Mode.
