Introduction:

Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada is a spin-off from the Samurai Warriors series (which is a spin-off of the Dynasty Warriors series) that focuses on more of a single story with set characters than the interweaving of the other series. There are no missable or difficulty-related trophies: simply play the game as you like while trying to complete as many Multi-Stage Battle Objectives as you can (these are the Goals that appear while in a battle). The Platinum mostly consists of completing Story Mode and then collecting 100% of the entries in the Sanada Vault.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete the Story Mode

Play through the story, following the tasks that the game tells you. Aim to get as many S-ranks and fulfill as many objectives in battle as you can but there is no reason to replay anything or worry about missing anything at this stage (it's simpler to replay missions at the end of the game when your level is higher). To make it a little easier, it's recommended to stick with playing as few characters as possible to have stronger characters and get some of the trophies relating to levels and weapon levels quickly.

You should have earned the following trophies at the end of this step:

Lives to Protect
Young Men of the Takeda
Innocent Child
Eternal Enemies
Battle of Nagashino
A Friend's Death
Carefree Youth
Exploring Azuchi
Six Coins Pledge
Visiting the Metropolis
Parting of Ways
Masayuki’s Fall
Cannon Fire
Man of the World
The Finest Soldier in the Land
Big Spender
Sharp Eyes
Relentless Warrior
Collector

Step 2: Exploration Stages

You will likely still be missing some Accessories, Materials and Conches. Time to grind. In order to get all of the accessories, you will need to play the Exploration Stages: each exploration stage has its own accessory that is unlocked by either completing all of the exploration goals for that stage or by defeating a Secret Treasure Unit and picking up their drop.

For each exploration stage, your goal will be complete the Exploration Goals for that stage: however, if you see a Secret Treasure Unit (random chance of spawn in random area, will show on map as a big red dot if they are in the area you are currently in), stop what you're doing and make sure to defeat it and pick up its drop ASAP, because this will grant you the accessory immediately. If you are lucky enough to find the Secret Treasure Unit before completing all of the goals, you’re done: move on to the next Exploration Stage. If you complete 4 of the goals for a stage without encountering the Secret Treasure Unit, a 5th goal will appear that requires you to defeat an officer (you do not need to leave the stage and come back) that will drop the same accessory. If you manage to obtain all of the accessories via Secret Treasure Units, make sure you go back and finish all of the goals for any one of the exploration missions to get the related trophy.

Since you have been hopefully collecting many materials while hunting for the accessories, you should have ideally completed many of the material-related exploration goals (these award a lot of conch shells, which need to be submitted to Sakyo Raifukuji). If you do not have enough conch shells for Saved Soul after collecting all of the accessories, you will need to go back into exploration stages and grind conch shells out to do so. I had about 70 extra after earning the trophy, so if you somehow still do not have enough, complete some material-related exploration goals! You will also need 120,000 gold to buy the Panda mount in Osaka Castle and now that you are rich by selling "Unknown" type materials (bottom of list, has a comment about selling), you can easily do so.

Finally, if you somehow still do not have 100 different types of materials, note that two of the exploration stages have fishing spots that you can get their unique items Carp and Giant Catfish from. Completing Tasks from villagers in the Castle/Towns, as well as maxing friendship with officers can also gain you material items.

You should have earned the following trophies at the end of this step:

Scavenger
Hoarder
Summoned Soul
Freed Soul
Saved Soul
Adventurer
Beast Master

Step 3: The Sanada Vault

This is the trickiest step of the game, because you will need to complete all entries in the Sanada Vault. Each of the Vault trophies are related to a % complete in the Vault, comprised of Music Tracks, Event Scenes and Multi-Stage Battle Objectives. If you're having trouble with any battles (Sekigahara), you can always turn the difficulty down to Easy. The first thing you might want to do is play the Epilogue, to get the Event Scenes from this super short chapter, as well as the trophy related to it. You cannot save in the Epilogue so make sure to load of your file afterwards and manually save there to ensure that the scenes are saved into the Vault.

Each Vault-related trophy is unlocked at a certain percentage of Vault completion, triggered by talking to the guard to pop the trophies. Music Tracks and Event Scenes are all unlocked automatically by clearing battles. See this post for a list of all the Multi-Stage Battle Objectives, note that you do not have to clear all of the objectives in one stage playthrough (in fact, some cannot be obtained at the same time as others). You should have 100,000 total K.O.s at the end of this step, as well. If not, hop back into battle and grind some K.O.s out!

Finally, if you have not already done so, raise Yukimura's level to 99 (keeping in mind you have to purchase Special Training at the Training Dojo every 10 levels once you hit level 50). The bonus experience from the conch shells should make this easy to do in the Training Dojo.

You should have earned the following trophies at the end of this step:

The Warrior Left Behind
The Sanada Fortune (1)
The Sanada Fortune (2)
The Sanada Fortune (3)
The Sanada Fortune (4)
The Sanada's Millions
Master Strategist
Indefatigable Warrior
Mighty Warrior
Unrivaled Warrior

Step 4: Miscellaneous Trophies Clean-Up

This last step involves earning the following random trophies if you have not unlocked them already.

You should have earned the following trophies at the end of this step:

Weapon Master
Prayers Answered
Day Tripper
Strategist
Anger Management
Catch of the Day
Joy of the Harvest
Student
Historian
Professor
First Date
Dear Friend
Circle of Friends
Spirit of Sanada

51 trophies ( 10  38  17  )

  • Obtain all trophies.

You are a True Warrior of the 3 Kingdoms.

  • Acquire a battle accessory in battle or while exploring.

    See Scavenger.

  • Acquire 26 different battle accessories in battle or while exploring.

The base accessories are automatically obtained when you finish battles. In order to get all of the accessories, you will need to play the Exploration Stages: Each exploration stage has its own accessory that is unlocked by either completing all of the exploration goals for that stage or by defeating a Secret Treasure Unit and picking up their drop.

For each exploration stage, your goal will be complete the Exploration Goals for that stage but if you see a Secret Treasure Unit (a random chance of spawning in a random area, will show on map as a big red dot if they are in the area you are currently in), stop what you're doing and make sure to defeat it and pick up its drop ASAP, because this will grant you the accessory immediately. If you are lucky enough to find the Secret Treasure Unit before completing all of the goals, you're done: move on to the next Exploration Stage. If you complete 4 of the goals for a stage without encountering the Secret Treasure Unit, a 5th goal will appear that requires you to defeat an officer (you do not need to leave the stage and come back) that will drop the same accessory.

  • Achieve an "S" evaluation in battle.

    See Master Strategist.

  • Achieve an "S" evaluation in battle 10 times.

S-ranks should come naturally but each battle is ranked on four criteria such as the following:

    K.O.s
    Time
    Objectives Completed
    Officers KO'd
    Damage Sustained

The criteria are not the same for every mission: underneath the map, you can see what the criteria for S-ranks are by pressing twice in the pause menu until it cycles to them. In essence, aim to get many K.O.s, get hit as little as possible, try to take down every enemy officer and while doing this, try to beat the levels as fast as you can. You will likely earn this naturally while trying to complete all of the Multi-Stage Battle Objectives. Once you have received 10 S-ranks, the trophy will pop.

Note: Don't worry if you do not receive S-ranks and then proceed to the next chapter. Starting at Chapter 3, you can replay past battles in the Library in town.

  • Go fishing.

You can get this starting in Chapter 2.

In the South West of the village, there will be a "Master Fisherman" so speak with him to unlock the fishing mini-game. Go to the fishing area and fish one time to get this trophy.

  • Acquire materials at the Farm.

You can get this starting in Chapter 2.

In the North West of the village, there will be a farmer with a scarecrow in a field. Speak with him, and this will unlock the farming mini-game. Go to the scarecrow and play the mini-game to plant something. Play a battle and once you return, talk to the scarecrow again to harvest the materials and pop the trophy.

  • Invite an officer to join you at the Teahouse.

You can get this starting in Chapter 3.

In the North East of the village (north from the shop and blacksmith), you can find the Teahouse. Speak with the attendant, choose an officer to meet you, then the trophy will pop.

  • Raise your Friendship Level with another officer to max.

    See Circle of Friends.

  • Raise your Friendship Level with 10 other officers to max.

As the story progresses, you will unlock the ability to give gifts to many named officers after you speak them. Each officer has a favourite "type" of gift (and some a specific gift) that boosts their friendship level significantly higher than non-favourite items.

Once you offer an officer enough gifts to fill the bar, you will max their Friendship Level (you can tell by cherry blossom petals flowing out of their head once the bar gets filled). Once this is done with 10 officers, the trophy should pop: the first time you should be able get 10 maxed friends is Chapter 3. Once you finish the story, you will have a giant list of officers you can summon at the Tea House that you can easily just throw gifts at to max.

  • Raise your weapon rank to "A".

Weapon rank is increased by getting KOs with that weapon. Simply keep getting KOs with the same weapon/character and this will unlock. If you use Masayuki Sanada every chance you get and are attempting to get as many Multi-Stage Battle Objectives as you can, you can expect to unlock this in Chapter 4 or 5.

  • Read the Sanada Clan Chronicles.

    See Professor.

  • Read 50 entries in the Sanada Clan Chronicles.

    See Professor.

  • Read all entries in the Sanada Clan Chronicles.

As you progress through the game, the Sanada Clan Chronicles will automatically fill up with information about the setting of the game (whether or not you speak with people in town). The earliest this trophy can be unlocked is in the final chapter of the game. Open the menu by pressing the , then go into the Sanada Clan Chronicles. "Read" each entry by pressing on it and once all entries have been read, the trophy will pop.

  • Raise Yukimura Sanada's level to 50.

This can be done by either spending Sanada Clan experience in the Training Dojo or by grinding EXP out in battles. Once Yukimura’s level reaches 50, the trophy will pop.

  • Raise the level of any officer to 99.

This can be done by either spending Sanada Clan experience in the Training Dojo or by grinding EXP out in battles. Once any officer’s level reaches 50, you will need to spend gold to unlock Special Training for them at the Training Dojo, which increases their level cap by 10. Once they reach the new cap, they will need to have it raised with Special Training again until they reach level 99. As Yukimura already needs to be raised to level 50, it might be quickest to continue levelling him to 99. Once your officer reaches level 99, the trophy will pop.

  • Attain a total K.O. count of 10,000.

    See Indefatigable Warrior.

  • Attain a total K.O. count of 100,000.

This should happen naturally by the time you have all of the accessories and have completed all of the Multi-Stage Battle Objectives. If not, go into battle and grind it out (the quickest stage to do so would likely be in the Osaka Winter Campaign: The Battle of Sanadamaru).

  • Achieve 1,000 K.O.s in a single battle.

This will come naturally while playing on your way to getting S-ranks and unlocking Multi-Stage Battle Objectives. Simply keep defeating enemies until your K.O. count has reached 1,000 for a battle.

  • Acquire 10 different materials.

    See Hoarder.

  • Acquire 100 different materials.

This should come naturally while collecting the accessories and conch shells. In exploration stages, there are blue glowing lights on the ground all over and as soon as you touch them, you will pick them up. Each exploration stage has different types of materials. Once you have collecting 100 different materials, the trophy will pop. If you are struggling, note that two of the exploration stages have fishing spots that you can get their unique items Carp and Giant Catfish from. Completing Tasks from villagers in the Castle/Towns, as well as maxing friendship with officers can also gain you material items. Don't forget about the shops!

  • Give Sakyō Raifukuji a conch shell.

    See Saved Soul.

  • Give Sakyō Raifukuji several conch shells.

    See Saved Soul.

  • Give Sakyō Raifukuji many conch shells.

Sakyo Raifukuji's house is in Ueda Castle. By speaking with Sakyo, you have the option to spend conch shells to unlock new characters for use when replaying battles in the Library or turning the shells in for Sanada Clan experience. Sakyo will require enough conch shells to unlock all characters and then an additional 24 or so exchanged for EXP in order to pop these trophies.

You can collect conch shells by playing Exploration stages, where you have chances to obtain them by defeating officers, completing exploration goals and by breaking specific boxes in the stages but by the time you have collected all of the accessories, you will more than likely have enough.

  • Increase Yukimura Sanada's Rage intensity to Level 5 in battle.

As your characters level up, you will notice that different parameters become unlocked for training (a small green, unlocked lock will appear next to them in the stage results screen). Once this occurs, you can go to the training barracks in any town, which will have an "!" on it. You will need to level up Yukimura to a high enough level that you can unlock his Rage ability to the maximum. Once this is done, enter a battle, raise the Spirit bar to max, then press to pop the trophy (you can also have lower spirit and "raise" the rage up to Level 5 if there are enough enemies around).

  • Acquire materials from the Jizō Statue.

You can get this, starting in Chapter 2.

Near the middle of town, there is a Jizo Statue and a man next to it will speak with you. Speak with the statue and leave whatever random material at the statue. Play a battle, and once you return, talk to the statue again to retrieve the new item and pop the trophy.

  • Talk to the guard of the run-down Vault.

    See The Sanada's Millions.

  • Talk to the guard of the expanding Vault.

    See The Sanada's Millions.

  • Talk to the guard of the flourishing Vault.

    See The Sanada's Millions.

  • Talk to the guard of the crowded Vault.

    See The Sanada's Millions.

  • Talk to the guard of the land's most famous Vault.

Each of the Vault trophies are related to a % complete in the Vault, comprised of Music Tracks, Event Scenes and Multi-Stage Battle Objectives. You'll need to get 100% of the Vault unlocked, then talk to the guard to pop the trophy. Music Tracks and Event Scenes are all unlocked automatically by clearing battles. See this thread for a list of all of the Multi-Stage Battle Objectives: LINK

  • Spend a cumulative total of 100,000 Gold.

If you're aiming to clear the Multi-Stage Battle Objectives as you play, you will naturally gain a lot of gold. By the time you have collected all of the accessories and sold your duplicate, unnecessary items, you will be rich. Note that the Panda mount (that is required for Beast Master) trophy costs 120,000 gold alone so this will unlock automatically with purchase.

  • Clear 100% of one exploration goal in one exploration area.

    See Adventurer.

  • Clear 100% of all exploration goals in one exploration area.

Note: This cannot be done until the story is cleared, because the 5th goal can only be unlocked upon doing so.

When doing the exploration stages in the story (as in, a stage that is not a Multi-Stage Battle), you are presented with four goals comprised of the following: how much of the map you reveal, how many of the special enemy you defeat, how many different types of materials you collect on that stage, and how many of the rare material you collect on that stage. Once that is completed, you will be presented with a 5th goal of defeating an officer (you do not need to leave the map and come back). Complete all five of the tasks for one of the stages, and this trophy will pop.

While collecting the accessories, you might automatically fulfill these requirements but if you have all of the accessories and still have not done this, aim for the exploration stage that you are closest to reaching all the goals for.
