How to find the Vindicator rocket car parts in Saints Row (Forgotten Prototype)

Saints Row is an extremely popular RPG video game series developed by Deep Silver Volition and published by Deep Silver. It’s available to play on all the major platforms, including Playstation 4 and PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Its gameplay involves the player exploring the open world of Santo Ileso, a fictional city loosely based on Las Vegas and other US cities, gathering collectibles and completing various side activities, all of which help to complete the main mission. It does hold some similarities to Grand Theft Auto, and often gamers that enjoy one will also like the other.

And what's better to roam that open-world in a high-powered rocket car!

As well as the normal selection of cars that you can pilfer around Saints Row’s open world, there’s a selection of unique Special Vehicles that can only be unlocked by collecting five car parts from around the world. The Vindicator is one of these vehicles, bringing a lovely retro rocket car look to Saints Row, as well as the Infinite Boost signature ability. A far cry from that of the Widowmaker, if you are looking for a form of fast travel, the Vindicator is a vehicle definitely worth looking for.

Parts can be found at the Lost Wheels pinwheels dotted around the map. Keep reading this walkthrough guide for top tips on where to find them.

What does the rocket car do?

Simple, It’s a high-speed rocket-type vehicle that enables you to travel around Saints Row at harrowing speeds.

The parts for the Vindicator (which is also referred to as the Rocket Car or Forgotten Prototype) can all be found at pinwheels in the Badlands North area of the map, and it’s probably best to get yourself a helicopter before grabbing them, to make it easier to travel from place to place (you can read our guide on where to find a helicopter here). Luckily, the Vindicator’s pinwheels are all bunched up in one relatively small area, so it shouldn’t take long to collect all five. You can check out the location of all five Lost Wheels locations for the Vindicator on the map down below.

Once you’ve found all five, the Vindicator rocket car will be added to your garage, able to use whenever you like.

Rocket car parts locations

Now that you know what’s to be gained while playing this Grand Theft Auto (GTA) reboot, let’s take a look at where to locate the goods.

All the parts needed to make the rocket-like car are located in the dusk desert of the Badlands North. You do get a little helping hand while searching for these parts as each one is situated within the mailbox container found at the base of the Lost Wheels landmarks - those two sculptures that look little like windmills. So, without further ado, let’s check out those locations.

Location 1:

Situated in the northernmost quarter of Badlands North you’ll find not one but 2 rocket car parts. The first is in between two Photo Hunt Discoveries next to a railway overpass.

Location 2:

The second part to be found in this area can be found northeast of three Drug Pallet Pickups. Just follow the sloped, winding trail that overlooks the southern valley until you reach the Lost Wheels location.

Location 3:

Shifting directions to a highway overpass northeast of the main road’s triple junction, not far from a Hidden History location is where you’ll find the next piece of your rocket car.

Location 4:

In the small campsite that’s just west of the Kiss Me Clothing store is the location for the fourth rocket car part. The campsite itself is easy enough to find. Just look for a parked camper and a bunch of tents near the dirt trail along the desert. Then, all you need to do is locate the Lost Wheels landmark.

Location 5:

The final rocket part is obtained by flying southwest from the campsite above to a winding slope that overlooks the Badlands North desert valley.
