Introduction:

Welcome to Rocket League, Psyonix's sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. This game released for free with PlayStation Plus and possesses a simple, if grindy platinum trophy. Rocket League is, essentially, soccer with cars. You will be using 2 kinds of boosts to score goals for your team. The most professional of players use these skills to pull off the most complex manoeuvrers but for the purposes of this guide I will be showing you the simplest, cheapest way to earn each trophy.

The following is important. Read this before beginning your Platinum run:

You will most likely need a second controller for this Platinum. If not, you can ask a friend or find a boosting partner from this thread. Also, you can use a PS Vita in lieu of a second controller by connecting via remote play to player 1, then connecting your controller and signing it in as a guest to player 2.

Credit: TheManUtdFan for writing basically the entirety of the revisions for the F2P update. Their work greatly expedited updating this guide.

Walkthrough:

Step 1:

The first step covers miscellaneous and gameplay-related trophies. There are quite a few of these and you will need a second controller or otherwise another player to boost 3 of them. I've placed these first to give you ample opportunity to learn the controls before you move on. They cover a bunch of stuff like basic goals, winning games or getting goals in certain way. Also, this is where you will earn the one online trophy in the game: Barras Bravas. On the main menu, select Exhibition. From there, you will be given a few options to change.

Each trophy’s description will tell you what to do and what to change at this menu. A select few of these are better done in Freeplay mode, found in the Training section on the main menu. The trophy description will mention when Freeplay is better suited for it. Otherwise, assume Exhibition will be used as Freeplay does not count for many trophies. Also, bots will be turned off for all of these trophies. During this step, you will earn:

Helen’s Pride
Grease Monkey
Pitch Veteran
Rider’s Block
Break Shot
Turbocharger
Minute to Win it
Speed Demon
Pick-Me Up
Wall-Crawler
SARPBC Forever
Feather in Your Recap
Winner
Clean Sheet
Triple Threat
Double Up
Singles Club
Still A Show-Off
Traveler
Tinkerer
First-Timer
Barras Bravas
Friendly

Step 2:

After learning the controls in the first step, the practice drills will acquaint you with how the game’s mechanics will be used in actual gameplay. There are 3 of these and they can be completed on any difficulty. In this step, you will earn:

Drill Sergeant
Know the Drill

Step 3:

Season is where you will use the skills you have learned to win some games against bot opponents. You will have your own bot teammates to help, but their AI is not very good and often scores own goals.

You will have to play good enough to make up for how bad they are. Also, you will want to learn how to restart games that have turned against your favour as, once you complete a Season game, that progress is automatically saved. In doing that, you will earn Champion and Perfect Start on the first try and save some time. During this step, you will earn:

Champion
Rocketeer
Team Player
Perfect Start

Step 4:

Finally, you will need to keep completing games to unlock the remainder of the 150 items required for Stocked. Microtransactions and trading will significantly expedite the process of obtaining 150 items, so please visit the trophy boosting thread on this forum to search for like-minded players to trade with:

https://www.playstationtrophies.org/f...irst-post.html

Also, you may also need to idle and tie your controller with rubber bands for around 8 hours to get Far, Far Away..., depending on how long it took you to complete the previous steps.

Stocked
Far, Far Away… GLITCHED
Super Victorious
The Streak
Car Collector
Drops in the bucket
Virtuoso

These trophies may come naturally from playing online, but they can all easily be done in exhibition. In this guide I will be showing you the simplest way to earn each trophy.

Step 1:

The one and only step involves you earning all three trophies in one exhibition game. At the main menu, select Exhibition then set the Team Size to 4v4, Arena to Utopia Coliseum and Bot Difficulty to No Bots. During this game, you'll be attempting to earn Sky High so see that trophy for more information. At the end of the game you should have earned all three trophies.

Supersonic Fury DLC:

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 1/10 (Personal Estimate)
  • Offline trophies: 6, 3, 2, 1
  • Online trophies: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to platinum: 3-4 hours
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1 Season, and some exhibition matches
  • Number of missable trophies: 0
  • Glitched trophies: 3, Ride or Die (still obtainable), An Inch and 6.2 Miles and Don't Look Back
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheat codes

Introduction:

Supersonic Fury is the second DLC trophy pack released for Rocket League and was the first paid expansion for the game priced at £3.29/$3.99. However, as of the Free-to-Play release, this DLC has been removed, but the trophies have been changed to make them available to new players. It boasts 6 new trophies! See below all new additions in this brand new content. Most of the trophies can be earned Online, however for the sake of this guide, we will be using Exhibition matches as it will be easier.

As far as the trophies go, they are very similar to the main game and can be obtained very quickly in Exhibition matches with minimal, if any grinding required.

Update 1.08: As of update 1.08 you can use mutator settings to make Ride or Die and Don't Look Back slightly quicker.

Update 1.11: As of update 1.11 the requirement of unlocking An Inch and 6.2 Miles has reduced significantly to only 10km as opposed to 100km, this will make the trophy almost certainly unlock naturally.

Step 1 - Win a Season Championship

In this step, firstly win a season championship with Dominus. Make sure to change the decal and all paint finishes on your car of choice to get Ride or Die and Family, Not Friends too. Also, ensure to equip the Vortex, Cristiano or Spinner wheels as well to work towards An Inch and 6.2 Miles as you play.

By the end of this step, you will have unlocked:

Winning is Winning
Ride or Die
Family, Not Friends

Step 2 - Exhibition Matches/Misc Trophies

In this step, you will want to earn all the remaining trophies. First of all, go to the Garage and select Dominus or Takumi and customise it with a new decal and paint finish. By the time you have earned these trophies, you hopefully won't be too far away from An Inch and 6.2 Miles or will have very likely unlocked it already.

By the end of this step you will have unlocked:

An Inch and 6.2 Miles
Don't Look Back
Drift King

Revenge of the Battle-Cars DLC:

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 2/10 (With latest patch)
  • Offline trophies: 4 (2, 1, 1)
  • Online trophies: 1 (1)
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 30mins + (Skill dependant)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1 offline game, 1 online.
  • Number of missable trophies: None
  • Glitched trophies: None
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, Heartbreaker requires All-Star and Survival of the Fittest requires Unfair.
  • Do trophies stack?: No
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: While not strictly cheats, Mutators do not disable trophies.

Introduction:

Welcome to the third trophy add-on pack popular Rocket League. This used to be a paid DLC which brought you two new battle cars inspired by the predecessor SARPBC, along with a variety of new ways to decorate your cars, however as of the Free-to-Play update this DLC has been discontinued but thankfully the trophies were changed to allow anyone to get them. Unlike the previous trophies for this game, there are one or two that are challenging as they task you to win on higher difficulties as well as in an online match. Overall though, with a mixture of patience and technique to conquer the hardest difficulty, it shouldn’t be too taxing to regain your 100% for an average or better player. If you didn't play other than the plat and took the easiest route to the previous trophies, you may have more of a tough time but it is still doable with practice.

Walkthrough:

Step 1 - Set-up and match against unfair bots.

Go into your garage and pick Backfire. At this point, I'll assume anyone reading the guide won't have bought the DLC while available and will only have access to that, but if you do have Scarab or Zippy feel free to use them. Whichever you pick, equip a Topper, the Standard or Accelerato Boost and a Decal. Now start up a match on Urban Central on 1v2 Unfair difficulty. Now you’ll just need to win this. For tips, see the Guide.

During this step you'll unlock:

  • Throwback
  • Hot Shot, Part Two
  • Survival of the Fittest
  • Heartbreaker

Step 2 - Online Game
Now head into an online game, any type will do so go with whatever you are comfortable with. Win that to round off this DLC.

During this step you'll unlock:

  • Natural Progression

Chaos Run DLC:

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 1/10 (Personal Estimate)
  • Offline trophies: 4 (2, 2)
  • Online trophies: 1 (1)
  • Approximate amount of time to platinum: 45 minutes or less (skill dependent)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1 online private match and a maximum of 3 exhibition matches.
  • Number of missable trophies: 0
  • Glitched trophies: 0
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, you must score 10 goals using both Grog and Ripper against Pro difficulty bots.
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheat codes.

Introduction
Welcome to Choas Run, the latest Wasteland Apocalypse themed DLC pack released for the 2015 hit Rocket League developed by Psyonix. The DLC used to be available for £3.29/$3.99 on the Playstation Store, but as of the Free-to-Play update, this has been removed and the trophies have been changed to allow new users to obtain them.

This acts like the previous DLC trophy packs, with 5 additional trophies. The trophies can be earned very quickly and easily despite the trophy descriptions which may appear intimidating to some but shouldn't take any longer than an hour to earn regardless of your skill level. The update also adds the Wasteland map free of charge and as you will see, it is required for one of the trophies in the DLC.

Thanks to cenorexia for the video for Psycho-Master Exploder.

Step 1 - Win a '4v4' online match

This may sound difficult, however there is a super easy way to earn this trophy in less than a minute using a Private match without bots and setting the Goal limit to 1. See My World is Fire for more information.

By the end of this step you will have unlocked:

My World is Fire

Step 2 - Score 10 goals with Merc or Grog and Breakout or Ripper, 50 Shots on Goal

In this step you will use both of the new Battle-cars or Merc and Breakout and score 10 goals with each against Pro difficulty level bots in exhibition matches. This will not take too long even if you aren't skilled at the game like myself, and this will contribute toward Ruthless depending on how many shots on goal you have during these 2 matches. You should also aim to destroy the opposition car 3 times as well here for Psycho-Master Exploder.

By the end of this step you will have unlocked:

Spectacular
Savage
Ruthless
Psycho-Master Exploder

Neo Tokyo DLC:

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 2/10 - 9/10 (Varies depending on luck, skill, and trading)
  • Offline trophies: 5 (5)
  • Online trophies: 3 (2 1)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: Will vary depending on luck, skill or using new trading option.
  • Approximate amount of time to complete: 6 + hours (depending on luck, skill, or trading)
  • Number of missable trophies: 0
  • Glitched trophies: no, but counters can be a little buggy - see warning notes.
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No.
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheat codes.
  • Recommended extra equipment: A second controller.

Welcome to Neo Tokyo, the new DLC to Rocket League, Psyonix’s sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. This DLC is released for free with the June 20, 2016 patch 1.19 (aka Title Update 7) and possesses 8 trophies. Five of the eight new trophies are really easy and can be done offline solo. The last three online trophies are based on luck, skill, and grinding. Rocket League is, essentially, soccer with cars. However, there was also a free basketball and hockey update that is needed for a few of these trophies. Some These trophies may come naturally from playing online, but most can all easily be done in exhibition. In this guide I will be showing you the simplest way to earn each trophy.

Step 1:

This step involves you earning all five offline trophies in exhibition games. At the main menu, select Exhibition then set the Team Size to 1v1, Arena to Rocket Labs and Bot Difficulty to No Bots. Then play a few games in Snow Day, and finally setting the arena to Hoops to finish off the offline trophies. See trophy descriptions for specific details.

Mad Scientist
Icing the Cake
Left Wing, Right Wing
Fast Break
Buzzer Beater

Step 2:

You'll want to hop on to multiplayer now and just play matches to earn the last three trophies. It will take several random games and some luck to finish these off. After your online grinding (and a little luck) you will earn:

Budding Artist
One Better
Certifiable

PATCH 1.22 Notes: When going for - One Better or Certifiable:

  • Patch 1.22 brings in the rumble update and the ability to trade items making these trophies easier to achieve.
  • Trading will allow people to get items easier from a friend.
  • Rumble pick-ups will allow players to rank up certain skills like "juggle" more easily.

Warning Notes: When going for - One Better or Certifiable:

  • Although this trophy is not glitched (they will unlock when your skill level reaches capable/veteran) the counters can be a bit buggy and you may play a few games where your stats were not counted on your item. After you play a game, if you quit out and see this happening while viewing your inventory, then you may want to close the app and reboot. There is nothing you can do, but the problem does eventually correct itself and stats will start counting again. It has happened to a few people, and it did happen to me as well.
  • According to patch 1.11 - After playing for 10 hours in one week, the random drops will completely stop until next week. Apparently this measure was put in by the developers to stop people from just "playing" idle games in an attempt to collect items. This news can potentially make these two trophies even more difficult than they already are.
  • If you're in a 1v1 game and you or your opponent quits, then any stats in that game will not be counted.
  • Some people reported boosting works if you can find someone and both join a 1v1 game on an empty server. However, some have reported that this does not work. So you can try but success is not always guaranteed. This issue could also be due to the buggy counters mentioned in bullet point one.
  • See here for some general notes: LINK

Special Thanks to all the community members chiming in with their items making this a more detailed guide for the One Better and Certified trophies.

AquaDome DLC:

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 2/10 (Personal opinion)
  • Offline trophies: 7 (5, 1, 1)
  • Online trophies: 0 (All trophies can be done online or offline)
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 2-5 hours (Personal opinion)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: Multiple matches
  • Number of missable trophies: None
  • Glitched trophies: No
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No
  • Do trophies stack?: No
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheats available.

Introduction:

AquaDome is another free DLC for Rocket League in the form of an update so providing you have the latest patch installed, then you will have this content. The AquaDome DLC adds the AquaDome map, as well as some cosmetic items for the online modes. None of the premium cars on the PS Store are needed to earn trophies in this DLC. Also note that the controls I've listed are based on my personal setup so you may have to adapt them to how they are in your game.

The trophies are ridiculously easy this time around. Only 1 trophy will take a couple hours of grinding, but the rest can be done within 10 minutes. If you have a second controller you can get every single trophy by yourself. You can also boost all the trophies with a friend or do them online by playing with randoms but doing them with friends make things much easier.

Use the following thread if you don’t have another controller and want to get them done easily: Trophy Boosting Thread

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Equip the Bubbles Rocket Trail, make sure the map is set to AquaDome and the Game Mode is Rumble.
As of September 16, 2020, you no longer need to have the Bubbles Rocket Trail. The trophy was updated to no longer require it equipped!

This is to setup everything you need to unlock the trophies so create a private/exhibition game with the following changes:

  • Map: AquaDome
  • Game Mode: Rumble
  • Players: 2v2
  • Bots: 0

Invite a friend or connect a second controller to make getting the trophies easier.

NOTE: The Bubbles Rocket Trail is part of the core game but isn't unlocked from the start so you will have to play a few games until it becomes available. However, the chances are you will already have it since this DLC came out over a year after the game was released.

Step 2: Obtain all the miscellaneous trophies.

Simply play a couple games and unlock every trophy except Rocket Genocider. This step should take around 10-20 minutes to unlock everything.

Trophies Unlocked:

GG
Trifecta
Infinite Power!
Stopped Cold
Sea Turtle
Get Up, Mr. Bubbles!

Step 3: Clean Up + Rocket Genocider.

By now you should have every trophy except Rocket Genocider. Now just make an exhibition game with no bots and grind out the remaining shots needed. This will take around 2+ hours.

Trophy Unlocked:

Rocket Genocider

Good luck and have fun!

Introduction:

Dropshot is the 6th trophy DLC for Rocket League and was patched in for free. To enable these trophies and the update you must download the most recent patch (which is v1.31 as of the time of writing this Guide) which shall automatically add the update to the game. The Dropshot DLC comes with a lot of new features which will be listed below. A big change this time around is to the competitive playlist. Along with this DLC comes the new competitive Season, Season 4. Completely changing the way ranks are calculated and even removing Neo Tokyo from the competitive playlist. Whilst none of this is important to earning this packs specific trophies it is one of the main focuses around the update being released. For more information on what's changed in the current season see here: LINK

As with most of the recent Rocket League DLC trophies, this list comprises of easy trophies and one really grindy trophy. For more information relating to this short grind see Buckminster x10

Some big changes from within this update include:

  • Competitive season ranking system overhaul
  • A brand new crate named the "Turbo Crate" which will be available from post game drops
  • Painted boosts and a new import car body named "Endo"
  • Tips on loading screens
  • Time played stat tracker

More information on this update and a full list of patch notes, you can locate them HERE

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Obtain all miscellaneous trophies, leaving Dropshot for last

In this step you shall be using your 6 map votes to unlock the Registered Voter trophy & selecting the halo top from within the customisation screen whilst also playing with it on all 3 maps for the 'Brave the Elements' trophy.

Trophies earned in this step:

Registered Voter
Metaverse
Brave the Elements

Step 2: Obtain all the Dropshot trophies

In this step you will be playing 2 games of Dropshot, one with a 5 minute game alone with no bots and another with unlimited timer to grind out the remaining 2 trophies.

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Rocket League’s 2nd Anniversary. To celebrate it, they have released a new update entitled: Champions Field. This DLC was released for free with the July 5, 2017 v1.35 update and possesses 6 trophies. A few of these trophies can easily be done offline in a 1vs1 game against bots, while the remaining trophies must be completed online and are based on trading items and grinding out 30 scores and/or assists in some casual or competitive matches. Rocket League's 2nd Anniversary Update also includes a new arena (associated with a trophy), new customizable goal explosions, rocket trails, new cars, a new competitive season and much more. In this Guide I will be showing you the simplest way to earn each trophy.

WALKTHROUGH

Step 1: Get the two offline trophies.

This step involves you earning both of the offline trophies. Before you start your first game, go to your garage and manage your inventory items. Select 5 items of the same quality to trade in and receive an item of the next-highest quality in return. For example: Select 5 rare items and trade them in for a very rare item. Doing so will earn you the Trade Secret trophy. Now, select and equip a Very Rare item. Return to the Main Menu, and select Exhibition, set the Team Size to 1v1, any arena with turbulent AKA 'stormy' weather and Bot Difficulty to No Bots. Finally, finish the match and pop the Storm Trooper trophy. See trophy descriptions for specific details. During this step you will earn:

Trade Secret
Storm Trooper

Step 2: Trade with a friend and compete in online games:

Now invite a friend to trade with and earn Swap Meet , then head into the online modes and earn the rest of the trophies. At least one of these matches has to be on the new Champions Field arena for Good Times . It will take ten matches in any Competitive Playlist to finish off Rank Up . Finally, you may or may not need a few clean-up games of your choice, in either Competitive or Casual matches to finish getting 30 combined assists and/or goals for Coming on Strong . After your online grinding you will earn:

Swap Meet
Good Times
Rank Up
Coming on Strong

Introduction:

Just when you thought you’d put this to bed for good, Psyonix gives us what we’ve all wanted for more than a year: more Rocket League trophies! As expected, they are pretty straight forward and there are workarounds for those that may seem more difficult than you would think. If you can get lucky or have some degree of skill with the game you could be done within an hour, but even average players shouldn’t take much longer.

See the Trophy Boosting Thread if you need help earning these trophies.

Walkthrough:

Step 1 – Create or join a club

An easy trophy to get you started. Simply create a club from the game’s main menu or have a friend invite you to one that they’ve created. This will pop:

Join the Club!

Step 2 – Play matches with your clubmate

Complete ten online matches with your clubmate. Win or lose, it doesn’t matter. Hopefully you can score a goal against a team made up of players in a club of their own as well. See the trophy guide for more details. This step will earn you:

Together is Better
People Person
Squad Goals

Step 3 – Play a tournament match

The final two trophies left are related to tournaments. You can either create one yourself or join one about to start. Simply participate in one match for one trophy and if you’re good enough, get the MVP award for another. See the guide for more details. The final two trophies to get you back to 100% completion are:

New Challenger
Best of the Bunch

Rocket League Trophy Guide

Show secret trophies

88 trophies ( 12  24  51  )

  • Unlock All Trophies

The platinum trophy. Like other games, you get this for earning all other trophies.

  • Collect 150 Items

This trophy's requirements have been changed as of the latest update from having to earn all items, to just 150.

By completing games, you unlock items to customise your Battle-Car with, such as decals, paint and ‘toppers’, which are essentially hats. There hundreds of items in the game with all of the updates installed, so you won't have to unlock everything.

Unfortunately as of the Free To Play update Items are a lot harder to come across as you no longer unlock a standard item every game. You will occasionally unlock items through the free Rocket Pass, though this too is uncommon unless you purchase the Rocket Pass Premium (1000 credits, which will set you back $10 or equivalent). You’ll also get some items for completing challenges, especially when events are ongoing.

The easiest way to do this trophy however is to trade with other players, especially those who played before the F2P switchover. If you trade the same items back and forth between you, this trophy will eventually unlock. Unfortunately, to unlock trading, unless you played the game before F2P, you must purchase at least 500 credits. It’s recommended to purchase the Starter Pack (for $5 or equivalent) as it is the cheapest option and will also assist you with some DLC trophies. If you’re not willing to spend money to speed things up, you’re looking at a long road to platinum. If you’re looking for someone to trade with, check out the trophy boosting thread on this forum:

    https://www.playstationtrophies.org/f...irst-post.html

The trophy will unlock as soon as you obtain 150 items.

  • Drive a total of 50 km

    (GLITCHED)

The latest update has apparently reduced the amount of KM required from 500 to 50. This appears to only be a requirements change and doesn't affect the trophy's glitches.

This trophy's requirements are glitched; the trophy will unlock once you have covered 50KM, but the game's counters are broken and don't record distance correctly. The curent count seems to hover around 18KM. Also, you'll need to accumulate these KM on a single set of wheels, so for the purposes of this guide, pick one of the default ones and don't change it. If you've crossed this amount by a significant margin, switch to a different set of wheels as you may have passed the required amount and the trophy simply didn't unlock.

You can check how many KM you have traveled. At the main menu, select Garage, then press to scroll to wheels. Hover over the wheel you've been driving with and it will show you how many KM it has accumulated. This is the counter that is glitched, so treat it as if you need to earn 68KM to unlock the trophy.

This trophy also has a number of other glitches: Boosting to cover more distance faster is known to have the opposite effect; the counters sometimes rise slower in games where you primarily boosted.

The method to boost this trophy will involve you spending a few hours letting the game idle in Exhibition without bots while your car runs in circles. It requires a rubber band and some other way of holding down (In my case, a second rubber band).

    Method:

    Step 1:
Start an Exhibition game without bots.

    Step 2:
Tie a rubber band around and loop it around the handle of the controller. Use the second rubber band to hold . Alternatively, you can wedge a coin or a folded-up piece of paper in the gap makes when pressed down. Below are examples:

The result is your Battle-Car perpetually running in circles to rack up KM for Far, Far Away....

    Step 3:
If a game is tied and the timer runs out, the game switches to Overtime until a goal is scored. As you won't be scoring any goals, you can indefinitely grind this trophy out. If you need to stop grinding, be sure to score a goal to end the game after that grinding session, as pressing to quit the game means those metres gained do not count.

Also, if you are having issues with rubberbanding , you can remap the buttons by navigating to Options on the main menu, then pressing to access Controls. From this menu, you can change the mapping for Accelerate to one of the face buttons, then tape that face button down. You can also access this menu by pressing mid-game.

You have to grind this trophy in Exhibition as distance traveled in Freeplay does not count. The trophy will normally unlock as soon as you reach the required amount of KM.

Glitches with this trophy fixed as of patch 1.03:

    • Distance now counts when playing online.

  • Win a total of 30 games across any game mode

You will most definitely get this on your way to other trophies, so I would focus on other trophies while letting this one rack up. Simply complete and win games, which includes Exhibition and Season. If you are somehow still short after that, you will get this while grinding for Stocked.

  • Win the Season Championship

While playing the season, you will first have to get a record good enough to enter the playoffs. When starting a season, you can select whether the playoffs have 4 or 6 slots. All that 4 slots does is remove the wild card bracket, and thus requires that you perform better. While you need to be in the top 4 out of 10 teams for 4 slots, you only need to be in the top 6 for 6 slots. So, select 6 playoff slots.

After entering the playoffs, you must win every game in it or else you are eliminated. This is massively helped by the fact that, at any point in any game, you can press and restart the game at no consequence. The game autosaves once a game ends, so there is no loss of progress if you do not let the game end to begin with.

As for some other tips, be sure to use anything you have learned from the training modes. Maintain your leads. 6-0 leads can crumble quickly if you let up on defense. If you do, however, completely fall apart, you can always restart the match.

Finally, a lot of your goals will come immediately at kick-off. This is a prime opportunity because, unlike in multiplayer, the AI opponents generally do not aggressively charge and jump at the ball for an easy first goal. So, when play starts, immediately hold and pick up every orange boost pad on the way. When you are about to hit the ball, press to jump at the ball and knock it across the field for what is usually an easy first goal. Have a look at an example below:

If you are lucky, you will be in the same or a similar position when the next kickoff starts. Use this to farm goals and get a comfortable lead, then defend the rest of the game. Use these tips as well as using the restart trick; the latter in particular is imperative as it gives you a vital safety net. The trophy will unlock as soon as you win the last game of the playoffs.

  • Win 10 games in a row across any mode

This is normally quite difficult as there is no room for error, but all that changes when you literally do not have any opposition. So, simply score a goal and run the clock out. You will probably get this trophy anyway doing the other tasks for miscellaneous and gameplay-related trophies, but if you do not have it by the time you have finished, or you lost a game, you'll most definitely earn this trophy while completing the final grind.

  • Score 6 Goals in a single game

Start an Exhibition game alone with bots turned off. Punt the ball straight into the goal. Repeat those steps 5 more times. The trophy will unlock as soon as you score the 6th goal.

  • Collect 5 Cars

    Glitched!

This trophy will sometimes fail to unlock after unlocking 5 cars. This can sometimes be fixed by deleting your save and reloading, or reinstalling the game on top of this. If not, you’ll just have to keep playing until it unlocks.

This will come on your way to Stocked, however since the Free to Play update, you don’t unlock cars often anymore. You’ll get a few early on for completing the New Driver Challenges, you also get one if you bought the Starter Pack or Rocket Pass Premium.

  • Collect 50 Items

    See Stocked

  • Complete the regular Season

The shortest possible season is 9 games. From the main menu, select Seasons. From here, set up your season to have 9 games in it. You will be able to create your own team and name, and pick an icon and colour scheme from a list. After that, you can begin the series. Be sure to win the first game for Perfect Start and also check Champion for tips on getting into and winning the playoffs. The trophy will unlock once you complete the ninth game of the season.

  • Customize the Decal, Topper, Rocket Boost and Wheel on a car

From the main menu, select Garage. Here, you can customise your Cars with several categories of items such as decals, paint jobs rims, flags and toppers but for this trophy you just need to customize a Decal, Topper, Rocket Boost and Wheel.

You should have access to all of these after a couple of online games through the New Driver Challenges and levelling the Free Rocket Pass a little. Once you have the items required, just switch to each of them for this trophy.

Once you have one of each item unlocked, navigate to the garage and apply one item of each category to your Car. The trophy will unlock as soon as you do.

  • Play a total of 20 games across any game mode

You will most definitely get this trophy by the end of Step 3. Simply complete 20 games across any game mode to earn the trophy. Unlike Super Victorious, you do not have to win these games. The trophy will unlock after finishing the 20th game.

  • Make 20 Saves

    A Save is when a player stops what would otherwise be a goal. You can grind these with a second controller or PS Vita in Exhibition. Essentially, have player 2 hit the ball towards the goal. Then, have player 1 intercept it at the last moment. Have a look at the video I have uploaded below for an example;

Do this 20 times to unlock the trophy. You will know if you are doing it correct as the ‘SAVE’ symbol appears at the top of player 1's screen. Both regular Saves and Epic Saves count for this trophy. The trophy will unlock as soon as you make the 20th save. You can also boost this trophy online in Private Matches with a friend.

  • Score a goal by hitting your opponent into the ball

You can set this up fairly easily in local split-screen. Simply position player 2 in between the ball and player 1. Then, with player 1, ram player 2 into the ball and score a goal. It may take a couple of tries given the physics of the cars. Have a look below for a demonstration. You can also boost this trophy online in Private Matches with a friend.

  • Use your Rocket Boost for a total of 5 minutes

You will get this naturally during your platinum run. You boost by pressing and while you only do this for a few seconds at a time, you will very quickly accumulate 5 minutes of boosting across games.

  • Complete every Practice Drill (any difficulty)

On the main menu, select Training. From here you can see 5 options. The bottom 3 here are the Practice Drills; Goalie, Striker and Aerial. Select one to get started. I recommend Striker first as it is the easiest and you will have already picked up some skills from Step 1.

For Striker, you will be completing 10 basic goals. It starts off very easy as the balls are completely stationary. Later in the round the balls are moving, but thankfully very slowly.

For Goalie, you will be defending the goals from balls thrown at you at increasing speed. Even if you are bad at defending the Goalie drills are very easy and only require you to be able to hit the ball away. At the start of the first 8 drills, just charge the ball and you win that drill automatically. For the last 2, you will have to time it correctly as you approach the ball from the side.

Finally, Aerial features similar setups to Striker, but hitting balls in the air by using the jump () and rocket boost (). This is the hardest of the 3, but still very easy. For this section I highly suggest using the secondary jump by pressing in the air while not tilting in any direction. This will allow you to get on top of the ball and guarantee it will travel downwards into the goal. See below for an example:

The drills are very easy. Furthermore, you can press should you fail any of them to retry. The game will warn you that you will not earn any points, but that is acceptable as points are not required for the trophy. Also, you can complete these drills on any difficulty, so select rookie. Finally, you get infinite boost for all of these drills.

  • With only 60 seconds left, Win a game in which you were tied or trailing

This trophy is misleading as the team you must trail from or be tied with must have 1 or more goal; breaking a 0-0 tie does not count. Also, strangely, you will need a second controller or a PS Vita for this as deliberately scoring an own goal to trail will not work.

Start up an Exhibition game with 2 players. Then, score a goal with player 2. Run the clock down and score 2 goals with player 1 once 'One Minute Remaining' flashes on screen.

The trophy will unlock as soon as the game ends. You can also boost this trophy online in Private Matches with a friend.

  • Completely fill and then empty your Rocket Boost 10 times in a single match

This is very easily done in Exhibition with bots turned off. Empty your boost without touching any orange objects around the map. Then, touch one of the pads with an orange orb floating above it:

Then, hold and completely empty the meter. This will launch you most of the length of the pitch, so be sure to avoid other orange pads. Repeat the above steps 9 more times. The trophy will unlock as soon as you deplete the meter for the 10th time.

  • Collect 5 Items

    See Stocked.

  • Drive on the dome walls for a total of 5 minutes

You can do this in either Exhibition with bots turned off or Freeplay. I did it in the latter as that mode has no timer. Simply rubberband your controller so it is holding and steer your car onto the wall of the arena. Your car will drive itself around the arena repeatedly. You may, however, have to occasionally nudge if your car starts to decline or rise and risks slipping off the wall or into a goal. The trophy will unlock as soon as you reach 5 minutes of driving on the wall.

  • Play against every team in a Season

In a season, you will play against 9 teams, with you being the 10th. The shortest possible season is 9 games, so completing a 9-game season will unlock this trophy alongside Rocketeer. See that trophy for more information.

  • Play one game each with Octane and Backfire

Octane is unlocked immediately from the start of the game, but to unlock Backfire you’ll have to complete some new driver challenges. You’ll have to play a few online games and complete some training to complete the first level of challenges, then complete the Striker training to unlock Backfire. From there you just need to play a match with each car to unlock the trophy.

  • Watch a save file in Replay mode

After finishing a game, you will get an option to save a replay. Press on this option to do so. Then, on the main menu, select Profile, then Replays. You will be given a list of replays you have saved. Select one. The trophy will unlock as soon as the replay starts.

  • Win a total of 5 games across any mode

See Super Victorious. You will unlock this naturally very early on, while completing gameplay-related trophies. Simply win 5 games. The trophy will unlock as soon as you win your 5th game.

  • Win a game without giving up a single Goal

You will unlock this automatically once you have won your first Exhibition game playing alone, assuming you did not score an own goal. Otherwise, it is impossible not to get this trophy while completing others.

  • Win a 3v3 game

At the main menu, select Exhibition. at this menu, you can select how many players can play in a game. Simply set that to 3v3. Also, make sure bots are turned off. When the game starts, score one goal. Then, let the timer run out. You do not even have to have any other players in the game. The trophy will unlock as soon as the game ends.

You can repeat these above steps for Double Up and Singles Club by setting the players to 2v2 and 1v1, respectively.

  • Win a 2v2 game

    See Triple Threat.

  • Win a 1v1 game

    See Triple Threat.

  • Win your first game of the Season

    MISSABLE

When starting a season and choosing a team as mentioned in Rocketeer, you must win the first game. So if you lost that game, you have missed the trophy and have to start a new season. If you are on the verge of losing, you can press and restart the match with no consequence. The trophy will unlock as soon as you win that first game.

  • Score a goal while reversing

After starting a game in Exhibition (as always with bots turned off), turn your car around 180 degrees. Press to lock your camera onto the ball. Then, reverse and steer until you hit the ball dead-on. Keep in mind your steering controls are inverted while doing this. The trophy will unlock as soon as you score the goal.

  • Complete a Practice Drill

See Drill Sergeant. The trophy will unlock as soon as you complete your first drill.

  • Play a game in six different arenas

While setting up an Exhibition game, the first option will be to select an arena so play any 6 of the many that are available, then the trophy will unlock but do note that you have to finish the game for it to count.

  • Customize one slot on a car

On the Main Menu, select Garage. Pressing and will navigate between the various customization options available to your Car. Simply pick one that is unlocked from the start and the trophy will unlock immediately.

  • Score your first Goal

Simply start up an Exhibition game without bots and drive forward. Hit the ball and score a goal. This, of course, works in any game mode, but you will definitely get it early in your platinum run. The trophy will unlock as soon as the goal is scored.

  • Play an Online game with someone in your Party

This is the sole online trophy of the game and will require a friend to do it. Simply invite them to your party at the main menu by pressing , then create a private online match. The trophy will pop once the match starts. See here if you need a boosting partner: LINK

Alternatively, if you have a second account on your system that is on your friends list, you can sign them in with a second controller then start a private online match with them.

  • Play an Exhibition match

You will get this naturally on your way to other trophies. On the main menu, select Exhibition and start a match. The trophy will unlock as soon as the game finishes.

DLC: Utopia Coliseum

3 trophies

  • Score an Aerial Goal

In order to get an aerial goal, the bottom of the ball must be above the top of the goal and you must hit the ball while in the air. This can come naturally in play or you can easily boost it offline or online, in solo or in co-op with a friend.

Method 1: For 2 players or 2 contollers:
Thanks to TheManUtdFan for this method.

At the main menu go to exhibition (number of players doesn’t matter) and no bots. Put yourself on one side (let's say orange) and the second person or controller on the other side (blue). When the match starts get some turbo if you need it. Drive the ball (as orange) up the wall and jump () off the wall to hit the ball in the air. Make sure it says "AERIAL HIT". If there is no indication of AERIAL HIT, then try again. Once the game indicates you have done an AERIAL HIT, then use the second controller or boosting buddy (blue) to knock the ball into their own goal so that orange scores. This gives the orange car the Aerial Goal. If you don't have 2 controllers, then try the boosting thread

Here is a video showing the method by me, even though my son missed with the second player car:

Method 2: For one player one controller:
Thanks to ImStylinOnYaBro for this method.

Just go into a 1v1 exhibition match with no bots and select whatever team you want (let's say orange). Then use the method to drive the ball up the wall and get an aerial hit. Once you get the aerial hit, pause the game and switch to the other team (blue) and score on your own (blue) goal. This will give you an aerial goal.

Here is a video of BeforeJam doing the single controller method:

  • Win a 4v4 game

Simply go to exhibition, put it on 4v4, no bots, and score one goal and wait for the clock to tick. However, if you are looking for more fun then add bots or go to online 4v4 and just play a game until your team wins.

  • Play a game on Utopia Coliseum

Simply go to exhibition, pick the arena Utopia Coliseum, any amount of players, bots or no bots and wait for the clock to tick because it doesn't matter if you win or not.

DLC: Supersonic Fury

6 trophies

  • Win a Season Championship using Dominus in every game

For this trophy, you must win a full Season Championship whilst using a specific Car body, Dominus. It works the exact same way as the Champion trophy from the main game.

Start a season and set it to 1v1 on Rookie difficulty, 9 weeks and 4 playoff teams for a total of 11 matches. Score a few times at kick off by boosting immediately at the ball aiming for the opposition goal, then just defend and let the timer run out; score more goals if the AI happens to start catching up to ensure you win.

The AI is not very good on Rookie difficulty, so you shouldn't have any problem winning a season championship; if you happen to be losing any match and can't catch up, you can simply restart the match from the  menu at no penalty making this impossible to miss. You must also win all of the play off matches(2) as any defeat will result in elimination, but you can just restart if you are losing near the end of the match.

  • Drive 10 km with the Vortex, Cristiano, or Spinner Wheels

Ensure you are using the Vortex, Cristiano or Spinner wheels before attempting this trophy!

For this trophy you need to travel 10km using either the Cristiano or Spinner Wheels during any combination of game modes.

As of update 1.11 the requirement of unlocking An Inch and 6.2 Miles has reduced significantly to only 10km as opposed to 100km, this will make the trophy almost certainly unlock naturally, no grinding will be necessary for this now. Thanks to Terminator for confirming no extra grinding is needed.

You can track how far you have travelled in the Garage. Use  to scroll over to wheels and hover over the set you currently have equipped and you can see how many KM you have travelled so far.

    Note:
The trophy will only unlock when you have finished the current match in which you have travelled the required distance. You can easily enter a new match if it doesn't unlock yet.

  • Equip Dominus or Takumi with any Decal, then win a game

    Glitched

There have been several reports of this trophy not unlocking for reasons unknown; just keep trying with different Decal/Paint Finish combinations from the below list and it should definitely unlock.

The description for this trophy is slightly misleading. It seems you must use one of the New DLC Decals/Paint Finishes and change all four Paint Slots in the Garage for this to count, none of the ones from the base game will work. I have included a screenshot below to highlight this.

You can use any of combination of the below to unlock the trophy, highlighted in red are Decals/Paint I used:

    Dominus:
    Decal - Scorpions, Tats
Paint Finish - Brushed Metal, Carbon Fiber, PearlescentMetallic PearlWoodSemigloss

    Takumi:
Decal - Chaser, Copycat, Crazy-8, Gaki, Reiko
Paint Finish - Brushed Metal, Carbon Fiber, PearlescentMetallic PearlWoodSemigloss

Note - It is unknown if you have to use a DLC Paint Finish on every slot or just one for it to count for the trophy, as you can see in my selection and screenshot below I use the Semigloss and it didn't void the trophy. I tested this on an alternate account using Pearlescent on all four slots for one car, then Metallic Pearl on all four slots of the other and this unlocked the trophy also.

Now you can play an Exhibition match, without bots and setting mutator settings to Max Score 1. Score one goal for an easy victory. Do this for either car to unlock the trophy.

If you have trouble unlocking this still after following all of the above, refer to this post by the real evanio HERE for another method.

  • Use the Thermal, Burnout, or Nitrous Rocket Boost for a total of 10 minutes

For this trophy, you need to customise your cars Rocket Trail in the Garage from the main menu. Scroll over to Rocket Trail using  and select Thermal, Nitrous or Burnout (screenshot below). You may unlock this trophy during the season in Step 1, but this is unlikely unless you go out of your way. If you need to grind this out in Step 2, start an exhibition match and boost using  and . In the below video, I show a way to boost around the pitch continuously for a whole game with ease; simply do this for an accumulated 10 minutes. Note, you must finish the current match for the trophy to unlock. As of update 1.08 you can use mutator settings to set the match time to 10 minutes, and just boost continuously for the whole match for the trophy to unlock!

You can track your progress in the Garage, scroll to the Rocket Trail menu, then hovering over whichever rocket trail you chose to use for this trophy.

    How to equip Nitrous:

See video below where I show this method.YouTu

  • Play a complete game with Dominus or Takumi

For this trophy, you must complete a game with Dominus or Takumi. Go to the garage and set your body to Dominus or Takumi, then complete any game type you wish.

  • Perform a 180 powerslide with Dominus or Takumi

For this trophy, you must perform a 180 degree powerslide with Dominus or Takumi equipped. To perform a powerslide, simply drive forward using  then hold  whilst tilting the  and your car will spin 180 degrees. Ensure you finish the game for it to register that you have performed the slide.

Here are some excellent video instructions from cenorexia

DLC: Revenge of the Battle-Cars

5 trophies

  • Equip a Topper and win an Unfair Bot Match

Equip any Topper on any vehicle, it doesn't have to be one of the new ones if you have a favourite vehicle. Now select unfair and put team size 1v2, you can make the other team bigger but there is literally no reason to make things harder than they are already. The bots are around All-Star level and you are outnumbered.

The main tactic you'll want to employ is staying as a goalkeeper. If you try to attack, you will lose the ball and they will likely shoot into an empty net. About 60% of the shots they take are pretty easy to save by anyone. The time you will want to strike is after saving, if both of the opposition are far from their goal. Try to rush in, score and rush back if you are unsuccessful so you don't concede. Make sure if you rush in you save some nitrous for a possible retreat unless you are 100% certain you will score.

As for the kick offs, ignore nearly all of them and go immediately to the goal though the one exception is when they are both diagonal to the ball and so are you. When you should rush to the ball, do a frontflip to make sure you block the ball otherwise they will hit an near unstoppable shot 90% of the time. Also try and keep the ball if you are a couple of goals up but be careful not to stray too far from your goal in case you get dispossessed and concede. Once the game is over and you are hopefully victorious, you will get this trophy.

If you are struggling with 1v2 and you have someone else decent to play with, you can also use this great method from dotcom to even the odds:

    1) Have either player start a 1v2 Unfair Match.
At this point, only one controller is on.

    2) Play part of the match and have the second player join in. The second player will turn their controller on, and choose a different profile on the PS4. Once back in the game, hit on the second controller and it will add a player into splitscreen.

    3) This is now a 2v2 game. Play and win.

You can hit rematch/replay as often as you want. If you go back to the main menu you will need to start the process over.

For more information, see here: LINK.

As of the 1.08 patch, Mutators have been introduced to Rocket League, giving you a multitude of fun game options. Some of these can really help, the most useful of which being 1 goal to win, meaning you only need to score first to win, meaning you wont have to survive a 5 minute onslaught after taking the lead. Other mutators can also help, but most of them affect the AI too so are limited in their use. I tested mutators on my alt and they did not void the trophy.

  • Win a game against All-Star Bots with a Decal equipped

First off, equip a decal on any car. If you do the Unfair trophy with a decal equipped, you'll get this too. If not then load up an exhibition match with all-star bots, any size teams but the more the better as it’s less likely you'll need to specifically make an impact to be on the winning team. I did it on 4v4 and won despite barely doing anything of significance. If you're losing, you can switch sides without penalty near the end. Watch this video for a nifty little trick you can do (credit to cenorexia):

  • Win an Online Match with Backfire, Scarab, or Zippy

Head into any online match with Backfire, Scarab or Zippy, alone or with friends and win. If you're new to the game, you'll probably only have Backfire. It doesn't have to be ranked. If you're not that good, play a larger match so you can be hopefully carried by your team. After you win an online game, you'll get this. You'll get this if you win a game you join late but most of the late games I join I get put on the losing side. See this quote by cenorexia for a little trick you can use to speed this up:

If you are having a hard time winning an online match for Natural Progression (or simply want the trophy guaranteed and as quickly as possible) you can start a new private online match, set it to 1v1 with no bots and.. well, I guess you know what to do then .

  • Use the Standard or Accelerato Boost with Octane or Backfire while playing in Urban Central

Put the Standard or Accelerato Boost on Octane or Backfire, then use the boost in Urban Central. If you're new to the game, you'll probably only have the standard boost. Simple enough.

  • Win the MVP award using Backfire, Scarab, or Zippy

Easy, you'll get this when you win the unfair game as you'll have the most goals, if you used one of those cars. If you're new to the game, you'll probably only have Backfire. If you don't go for the unfair trophy or fail to achieve it, then you can start a game with 1 rookie bot and beat it easily.

DLC: Chaos Run

5 trophies

  • Equip the Flamethrower Boost and win a 4v4 Online match

For this trophy you need to equip the Flamethrower Boost. To do this you must select 'Garage' on the main menu to customise your car using any of new items listed in the Roadmap. I would advise equipping either Merc or Breakout since they are required for other trophies.

There are two ways you can go about this; either play and win a legitimate 4v4 online match against other players (this may be easy or difficult for you depending on skill), or you can do it the very quick and easy way. This is by setting up a 4v4 Private match with no bots, either via Party Only or Name/Password, then go in to Mutator settings and set 'Max Score' to 1 Goal, start the match and as soon you spawn simply score once in to the open goal for a quick, easy victory to unlock the trophy!

Below is a video of myself showing this method:

  • With Merc or Grog, Score 10 Goals against Pro-level Bots or higher

For this trophy you need to equip the Merc or Grog body (see screenshot below) and score 10 goals against Pro bots or above.

Simply create an Exhibition match, set it to 1v1 against Pro bots, set the 'Time' and 'Max Score' to Unlimited in mutator settings, and then just play until you score 10 goals and the trophy will unlock. It isn't very difficult against Pro bots to score 10; they frequently miss and make many mistakes. I managed to score 10 each time and only concede 4 goals across both matches and I am not the most skilled player at the game, but it does not matter since you have unlimited time and score limit regardless.

You will also work toward Ruthless in the process as each goal will count as a 'Shot on Goal' as well as any attempts where you almost score or the AI saves your shots.

  • With Breakout or Ripper, Score 10 Goals against Pro-level Bots or higher

See Spectacular only this time you must equip the Breakout or Ripper body.

  • Make 50 total "Shots on Goal" using Merc, Grog or Ripper

For this trophy you must use the Merc, Grog or Ripper body, or a combination of all and shoot toward the opposition goal to get a 'Shot on Goal'. You will know when you have done this correctly as a 'Shot on Goal' notification will appear at the top of the screen. Total Shots on Goal with all bodies combined will count toward the trophy.

You will likely earn the majority of these whilst going for Spectacular and Savage since any goal or attempt on goal will net you the bonus. If you need to farm this, simply create an exhibition match with no bots and in the mutator settings, set 'Max Score' and 'Time' to Unlimited. Then, keep scoring until the trophy unlocks. I only had to score another 11 goals after earning the other trophies to unlock this one.

  • Demolish 3 opposing Bots in Wasteland

To earn this trophy, set up an Exhibition match against bots on the Wasteland arena. Then, set the 'Demolish' mutator setting to 'On Contact'. This way all you have to do is simply touch the opposing car to instantly destroy it, and do this 3 times for the trophy.

You can set the game to 4v4 if you want so you can have more bots to demolish. Note that this must be done in a single match and is NOT cumulative.

For a video, here is one from cenorexia.

DLC: Neo Tokyo

8 trophies

  • Play a complete match in 3 different Rocket Labs Arenas

Play an exhibition private match in the Rocket Lab Arenas and setting the match length to 5mins and goals to 1, this way you can finish each of the 3 maps in under 30secs.

There are 3 maps in this arena that cycle randomly:

    • Utopia Retro: The arena is a circle like doughnut shape.
    • Cosmic: The arena is raised on the outside edges with a pit in the middle
    • Pillars: This arena has 2 triangular shaped pillars on the right, and left side.

Note: As new patches come out, they are introducing new Rocket Lab Arenas. It may be necessary to play these new arenas to pop this trophy. Despite the trophy description many have claimed they had to play the new 4th arena to pop this trophy. Therefore, new updates may require you to play on all of Rocket Lab arenas not just the initial 3 that were first introduced.

  • In Snow Day, score a goal from your own side of the ice

This is best done in an solo exhibition private game. Set it to 1v1, no bots, and one score wins. After selecting the Snow Day Arena lightly push the puck into your side (the side with your goal) of the arena. Then turn around and hit the puck with some force to send it into the opponent's goal, and thus earning you the trophy.

  • Win a Snow Day match with both the Blue and Orange teams

This can easily be done in exhibition. Pick snow day, 1v1, set the bots to 0, and set the game to 1 point victory. Score one goal, and win the match. After you win, select the opposite color and repeat for the trophy.

  • Score at least 2 Dunks in the first minute of a Hoops game

Select private hoops exhibition, then 1v1 and no bots. Let the ball come to a stop in the middle, then just drive straight at it, then hit the boost a little bit right before you hit the ball. It should go in every time. Score 2 goals in the first minute of the match and the trophy will unlock.

  • With 30 seconds left, win a game of Hoops in which you were tied or trailing

Note: To do this solo offline you will need two controllers. It will not work without a second player.

Select private hoops, 1v1 exhibition game, one score to win. Use the same scoring method described in Fast Break for scoring, but follow these steps with two controllers:

    • Step 1: Wait for the clock to have 30 seconds left to the game.
    • Step 2: Drive up and score the winning shot for the trophy if you set the score to 1 the game will end and you'll earn the trophy, or you can just let the remaining time run out.

If you don't have two controllers, then use a boosting buddy. If you don't have a boosting friend, then you can find one in the Boosting Thread.

  • Collect a Painted Item

After Patch 1.22 there are 3 methods to get this trophy.

    Method 1:
Play public online casual or ranked games. (I personally had better "luck" in casual 2v2 or 3v3 games) It doesn't matter how many players and long as it is an online game. It also doesn't matter if you are on the winning or losing team. At the completion of some games you will get random goodies, such as toppers, antennas, decals ect. For this trophy, you need to get a painted one. Once you've obtained a painted item at the end of the game, then the trophy will pop. You can view your items in the manage inventory screen.

    Method 2:
You can trade 5 uncommon to get a rare or trade 5 rare to get an ultra rare in an attempt to get a painted item.

Method 3: Only available with Patch 1.22
Trade items with a friend. Create a party and have a trading partner join. Scroll down to select their name it will bring up a menu. Scroll to the bottom and select Invite to Trade. This will bring you to the trade screen where you can both select items to trade to each other and either give or receive a painted item.

Use the Trading Thread created by Terminator to find a trading partner.

  • Increase the level of a Certified Item

Step 1: Obtain and equip a Certified Item

    • Method 1: Play public online casual or ranked games. It doesn't matter how many players and long as it is an online game. It doesn't matter if you are on the winning or losing team. At the completion of some games you will get random goodies, such as toppers, antennas, decals ect. For this trophy, you need to get a certified one. Once you've obtained a certified item at the end of the game, then you will have to equip it. You can view your items in the garage or manage inventory screen. The item will state it is certified, and what stat it is certified in when you view it in your inventory menu.
    • Method 2: Only available with Patch 1.22
Trade items with a friend. Create a party and have a trading partner join. Scroll down to select their name it will bring up a menu. Scroll to the bottom and select Invite to Trade. This will bring you to the trade screen where you can both select items to trade to each other and either give or receive a certified item.

Use the Trading Thread created by Terminator to find a trading partner.

    Here are certified item examples:

    • Tier 1:
      • Certified item for victories
      • Certified item for MVP awards
    • Tier 2:
      • Certified item for goals
      • Certified item for backward goals
      • Certified item for upside down (turtle) goals
      • Certified item for aerial goals
      • Certified item for bicycle goals
      • Certified item for long goals
      • Certified item for saves
      • Certified item for epic saves
      • Certified item for assists
      • Certified item for juggles
    • Tier 3:
      • Certified item for centers
      • Certified item for clears
      • Certified item for shots on goal

    Step 2: Level it up

    • Whatever stat is stated by your certified item, is the stat you must now accumulate in online games. Private games will not count.
    • Once you reach "Capable" status on your item the trophy will unlock. Capable status will be reached at 10 stat recordings for Tier 1 items, 25 for Tier 2 items, or 50 for Tier 3 items.
    • For example, I myself equipped an Item for saves. After doing so, in each online game I played, my saves were recorded on my Certified Item. To get this trophy, I had to get 25 saves to raise one level while wearing that item. After 25 saves, the trophy unlocked. I checked in my inventory and my Item now said "Capable" Goalkeeper.
  • Earn Veteran status for your Certified Item

Record the Veteran ranked stats needed based on your Certified Item's Tier in the chart below to earn the trophy.

TIER 1 Ranking System: Victories & MVP Awards

    • Certified: 0-9 (stat recordings)
    • Capable: 10-24 (stat recordings)
    • Skillful: 25-49 (stat recordings)
    • Veteran: 50+ (stat recordings)

TIER 2 Ranking System: Saves, Epic Saves, Goals, Assists, Juggles, Backward Goals, Aeiral Goals, Upside Down Goals, Long Goals & Bicycle Goals

    • Certified: 0-24 (stat recordings)
    • Capable: 25-49 (stat recordings)
    • Skillful: 50-99 (stat recordings)
    • Veteran: 100+ (stat recordings)

TIER 3: Ranking System: Centers, Clears, & Shots on Goal

    • Certified: 0-49 (stat recordings)
    • Capable: 50-99 (stat recordings)
    • Skillful: 100-199 (stat recordings)
    • Veteran: 200+ (stat recordings)

DLC: AquaDome

7 trophies

  • GG

Win the MVP award in a game that goes to overtime

This is a really easy trophy. Simply start a match and sit idle until the game enters overtime, then go ahead and score a goal. The game mode needs to be set as 2v2 for this to work but you don't need a second player on your team.

  • Score a Goal, Save a shot, and Assist a teammate in a single game

This can be done with 2 players total. Here is the easiest way to get it done:

    1. Put Player 1 (you) and Player 2 on the same team.
    2. Have Player 1 hit the ball and have Player 2 score (This gives you an assist).
    3. Next, just have Player 1 score a goal (Now you have a goal and an assist).
    4. Pause the game with Player 2 and put them on the opposite team.
    5. Have Player 2 hit the ball towards your net and Player 1 blocks their shot (Giving you a save). The save must be done close to your net or else it won't register.
    6. Trophy Unlocked!

Note that you can also hold in-game to check to see if a save/assist counted.

  • Activate every power-up in Rocket League® Rumble

There are 11 power-ups which were added along with the v1.22 Rumble patch:

All you need to do is use each power-up at least once but they don't need to be in the same match. Power-ups are activated by pressing once they have charged (look for the icon in the bottom right of the screen). Note that some of the power-ups can only be used if there are 2 or more vehicles in the game so you will need either 2 controllers, a friend or a bot to get this trophy.

You will probably unlock this naturally but if you just want to get it out of the way, simply start a game and use each power-up as soon as you are able to. I also recommend attempting to get Stopped Cold during this step.

Here are the abilities for each power-up:

    • Magnetizer: Attaches a tether to the ball when close to it.
    • The Boot: Kicks an enemy player away (2+ players needed).
    • Haymaker: Punches the ball away from you.
    • Tornado: Sucks up the ball and flings it away.
    • Grappling Hook: Grabs the ball and pulls you towards it.
    • Power Hitter: Makes you super strong i.e. enemies explode on contact and the ball flies farther when hit.
    • Disruptor: Makes the opponent boost out of control for a few seconds (2+ players needed).
    • Plunger: Pulls the ball towards you.
    • Spike: When you hit the ball it attaches to your car and can’t break loose until the power runs out.
    • Freezer: Freezes the ball in place.
    • Swapper: Swaps you and the opponent’s positions (2+ players needed).
  • Freeze an opponent's shot before it can score

There are 2 power-ups that have ice effects but the one you need is called Freezer (see Infinite Power! for details). Once you have it, activate it with but don't use it just yet! Have your opponent shoot the ball towards your net and once the ball is right before the goal line, simply activate the ability to get the trophy. It may take a few tries as the shot must be fast enough for the game to consider it a shot. If you fail, then simply cycle through the power-ups until it shows up again.

  • Head to AquaDome and score a goal while flipped on your back

This trophy might be tough for some people but can easily be obtained in a private game with no bots. Make sure you are playing in the AquaDome map then as soon as the match starts, get a bunch of turbo orbs and line up right behind the ball as if to shoot. Now jump with and flip your car over by holding and or . Now your car will be upside down and facing the ball but don't use to accelerate or else your car will flip back over. Instead, use to use your turbo and push the ball towards the net. If it goes in, then you will see a turtle icon in the corner and you’ll get the trophy.

You can also switch teams after hitting the ball while upside down and use the other team to push the ball in. This will also give you credit for a Turtle Goal and will unlock the trophy as well. See the following video for 2 different viable methods to get Turtle Goals:

  • Score an Aerial goal while playing in AquaDome

As of September 16, 2020, you no longer need to have the Bubbles Rocket Trail. This trophy was updated to no longer require it equipped!

This is the toughest of the trophies but is still fairly easy. If you followed Step 1 of the Roadmap then you will have equipped the Bubbles Rocket Trail already but if not, then equip it now. NOTE: The Bubbles Rocket Trail is part of the core game but isn't unlocked from the start so you will have to play a few games until it becomes available. However, the chances are you will already have it since this DLC came out over a year after the game was released.

Set the map to AquaDome with no bots.

Scoring an Aerial Goal is tough but you can cheat a little bit this time. To get an Aerial hit, you must be above the crossbar when you hit the ball. You can do so by running the ball up a wall and jumping to hit it when high enough then switch teams and score on your own net with that player. It will count as an Aerial Goal for you since you were the last person to touch the ball on your team.

Using the Rumble power-ups makes this trophy a lot easier, as you can hit the ball with the power-ups when it is high in the air and you will get an aerial hit.

  • Make 535 Shots on Goal

This will most likely be the last trophy you obtain but it isn't retroactive so only shots taken after the 1.24 patch has installed will count towards it.

Every goal you score also counts as a shot on goal so a very easy way to unlock the trophy is to just play a 1v1 game with no bots, and keep scoring off the faceoff. I also recommend doing a bunch of 5 minute matches as opposed to an unlimited time match because if your game crashes or you quit, then it won't keep your stats. However Druoxrodest has confirmed that while your stats will not be counted in the stats screen, the game will keep track of your shots still so the trophy will still unlock even if your stats say otherwise! Also note that you must not disable Goal Resets, else only your first shot will count and the rest won't.

Every 5 minute match I did would get me between 80-100 shots on goal (the game actually ended up taking about 15 minutes due to all the stoppages), so about 1.5 hours of doing this got me the trophy.

DLC: Dropshot

6 trophies

  • Head to 'Arena Preferences' and use all of your votes

Please note that this trophy, requires you to be connected to the Rocket League servers before the 'Arena Preferences' menu can be accessed.

Arena preferences is a selection of the 'maps' available in game. On this screen you can 'like' or 'dislike' a map and that arena will the have a higher or lower chance of appearing in your playlists when searching for public matches via matchmaking. Below is a list of all the available arenas as of the v1.31 patch, excluding the various weather types.

    Arenas:

RED = Arena removed from playlist
    GREEN = New arena variant

    Standard Maps:

    • DFH Stadium
    • Urban Central
    • Mannfield
    • Mannfield (Night) - Added with the Dropshot update. Note: This map does not show up within the 'Arena Preferences' menu as it is a variant of the original Mannfield map.
    • Beckwith Park
    • Utopia Coliseum
    • Aquadome

    Alternate maps:

    • Wasteland
    • Neo Tokyo - (Removed with the Dropshot update)
    • Starbase ARC

    Rocket Labs:

    • Pillars
    • Cosmic
    • Double Goal

    Dropshot Exclusive:

    • Core 707 - Note: This is a game mode specific arena and won't show up within the 'Arena Preferences' menu.

To earn this trophy you need to be at the Main Menu. From here, select "Play online" then "Find match". Upon doing this, a side menu will open and show all the playable game modes. Now press button to open the "Arena Preferences" menu. To use all of your votes, hover over your favourite maps then press once on each to mark them as Liked then highlight 2 maps you don't like and press twice to dislike them. The trophy will pop once all 6 votes have been used.

  • Equip the Ion Rocket Boost or the Halo Topper and win a match on Starbase ARC

The Halo topper is unlocked as a post-match drop in the main game and is required to unlock the Stocked trophy. If you're going in order of base game to DLC then it should already be unlocked and in your list of toppers. If you have not already unlocked it, then use the settings outlined below to farm for it. As of the latest update, you can also use the Ion Rocket Boost for this trophy.

Simply head to the "Garage" from within the main menu and then select "customise car". Once at the customisation screen, tab over to the toppers section by pressing . Scroll down your list of items then select the Halo and press to equip it. Once equipped, head back to the main menu then select "Exhibition" and use the following settings:

    • Game mode - Soccar
    • Arena - Starbase ARC
    • Team Size - 1v1
    • Bot Difficulty - No Bots

    Mutator Settings:

    • Max Score - 1 Goal

Simply start the match from here, score a single goal then the game will end and unlock the trophy. Starbase ARC qualifies as a match in 'outer space' for the Brave the Elements trophy so see that for more information.

  • Complete a match on wasted land, under the sea, and in outer space

If you're following the trophy list order for this specific DLC then you will already be part way to this trophy. For this, you will need to play a match on all 3 of the following arenas:

    • Wasteland
    • Aquadome
    • Starbase ARC

There is no specific order in which these must be played. Once you have successfully played a match on all 3 arenas, this trophy will pop. For a quick way of doing this, follow the match settings listed under the Metaverse trophy but change the map to one of the required arenas instead.

This trophy is not retroactive so if you have previously played these maps prior to installing the latest patch, then the trophy won't unlock after the patch is installed. You must complete the requirements post-patch for it to unlock. Thanks to Jerry Appleby for the heads up.

It will not unlock until you replay all 3 of the maps again once the patch has released.

  • Win a Dropshot match via shutout

Dropshot is the new mode that the 1.31 update has been focused around and brings some interesting new gameplay mechanics, whilst also keeping things familiar. For more information on how Dropshot plays, please refer to both the Buckminster x10 and Full Course trophies.

To earn this trophy in the quickest and most efficient way, you want to setup a match using the method under the Metaverse trophy, however rather than having the game mode set as 'Soccar' change it to Dropshot and have the timer set to 5 minutes. Getting a 'shutout' just means you win the match without the opposite team ever scoring a goal. If you follow the settings above, after 5 minutes the game will end and you will unlock the trophy at the post game screen. You can also set the game to 1 goal as per the other trophies and upon scoring a goal, you will also unlock the trophy.

Feel free to use this time to grind out both the Full Course and Buckminster x10 trophies as well.

  • Score a total of 18 Goals in Dropshot

To score a goal in Dropshot, you must use the ball to sufficiently damage the floor of the opposite team's half of the arena so it collapses and lets the ball fall in. To do this you can either hit the ball normally and deal damage to a single tile or hit it numerous times for the ball to 'power up'. Powering up a ball has 2 stages i.e. 5x and 10x. 5x is the stage that happens when you see a 'cracking' animation and a ball of lightning in the centre of the ball, this will take between 2 and 4 hits to level up. The second stage is similar to the first stage however it is now a much more powerful lightning arc and acts like an AoE (Area of Effect) attack, to reach x10 it will take between 7-10 hits on average. A 5x stage will destroy 5x tiles and 10x stage will destroy 10x tiles.

To score a goal you need to break through these tiles using the ball but each stage does more damage than another so it is best you level up the ball to stage 2 before attempting to do this, which will save you time. Once you have hit the hexagonal tiles enough they will fade away leaving a hole in the ground which in turn you can hit the ball into, giving you a goal. Simply repeat this and score 18 times to earn the trophy.

To speed this up you can also using these mutator settings below, however the time it will take to do this depends on how comfortable you are with Mutators. Settings that can help here are:

    • Ball Bounciness => Super Bouncy
    • Gravity => High
    • Ball Max Speed => Fast
    • Ball Weight => Light

This in turn will allow you to hit the ball around the arena, however the ball bounces barely enough to leave the floor but this will in turn charge the ball up quicker and save you some time chasing the ball.

Also, you can set Goal Reset to "Disabled" which will leave any broken panels open and thus allow you to score every few seconds instead of repeatedly breaking them over and over. Thanks to Darth_Krid for this method. However, upon earning this trophy it's highly suggested that you finish the match and set Goal Reset to "1 second " once you are ready to go for the Buckminster x10 as this can void the damage stat tracking. More information on this can be found under the relevant trophy.

If you find yourself struggling with the explanation, then please see the video listed under the Buckminster x10 trophy.

  • Damage a total of 320 panels in Dropshot

Panels are the hexagonal tiles you can see on the floor of the arenas. Damaging 320 panels seems a grind but it is short and sweet if you use the 'power up' technique mentioned above. In fact it's highly recommended you do this. Use the same game settings for the other DLC trophies but put the timer to 'Unlimited'. This will allow you to consistently keep destroying tiles without running out of time.

The best way to quickly get this done is to 'power up' the ball using the method listed under the Full Course trophy or in the video below. Now hit the ball numerous times into your own half until it reaches stage 2 then letting it bounce into your opponent's half, as this will allow you to hit or destroy 10 or more tiles in one go and save you time in the long run.

Alternatively, you can use the mutator method listed under Full Course. Once you have destroyed 320 panels, the trophy will pop.

    Important notes:

    • When going for this trophy specifically, it's best to start a separate match and set the Goal Reset option to "1 second". This is because you will quickly run out of tiles and also run the risk of the game ceasing to recognise any damage you do.

    • Make sure to disable the Rumble Mutators beforehand as these will negate any damage you deal when using them.

    • Leaving a match when the timer is set to unlimited, will reset all stats earned for that session so therefore it is best to do this in a single sitting.

DLC: Champions Field

6 trophies

  • Equip a Very Rare Item and complete a game in an Arena with turbulent weather

Go to your garage and make sure you have at least 1 Very Rare item equipped. Play a private exhibition match in an arena with turbulent weather on. Any arena that is labelled as "Stormy" or "Snowy" will work for this trophy. Now select Team Size to 1v1 and Bot Difficulty to No Bots. Finally, go to the Mutator Settings and change the Max Score to 1 Goal. Score one goal to win, complete the game and earn the trophy in seconds.

    Arenas with Turbulent Weather:

    • DFH Stadium (Stormy)
    • DFH Stadium (Snowy)
    • Utopia Coliseum (Snowy)
    • Mannfield (Stormy)
    • Mannfield (Snowy) * added w/ update 1.37
    • Beckwith Oark (Stormy)

How to get a Very Rare item, if you don’t have one:

    • You can continue to play and earn random drops until you receive a Very Rare item.
    • You can trade in 5 Rare items for a Very Rare item
    • You can try finding a trading partner in the Trading Thread created by Terminator.

Note: If the weather effects are turned off, then you can reactivate them from the Main Menu -> Options -> Video -> and tick the box to turn the weather effects on.

  • Head to Champions Field and complete an Online game

This must be done online in a Casual or Competitive match. Online private will not work to pop this trophy but don't worry, as you will more than likely get this while going for Rank Up. From the Main Menu, select Play Online -> Find Match, then choose a playlist you prefer.

Tip: Arena preferences is a selection of the 'maps' available in game. On this screen you can 'like' or 'dislike' a map and that arena will then have a higher or lower chance of appearing in your playlists when searching for public matches via matchmaking. This was made available in the v1.31 patch and might increase the odds of the map appearing.

  • Trade and receive one or more items with another player in a single transaction

Create a party and invite a trading partner to join. Once they join, scroll down to select their name then press to bring up a menu. From here, select 'Invite to Trade'. This will bring you to the Trading screen. Here you can both select items to trade with one another and either give or receive items. You will earn the trophy after completing a trade and receiving at least one item. The 1.35 patch added a new pop-up message that appears just after the trade has been initiated but it can be disabled by ticking the "Do not show again" box.

  • Trade In five items of the same quality to receive an item of the next-highest quality

From the Main Menu, go to your Garage -> Manage Inventory. From here, highlight and select 5 items of the same quality (e.g. 5 uncommon items). Now trade in those items and receive one of the next-highest quality. For example: you can select 5 uncommon items and trade them in for a rare item. After doing so, the trophy will pop.

If you need 5 items of the same quality:

    • You can continue to play and earn random drops until you receive 5 equal quality items.
    • You can try finding a trading partner in the Trading Thread: created by Terminator.
  • Complete all placement matches in any Competitive Playlist

From the Main Menu, select Play Online -> Find Match but make sure to select any game from the Competitive Playlist, which will state UNRANKED (0 of 10 matches played). Choose to play the game but it doesn't matter if you win or lose. However, you should try to score as many goals and get as many assists as you can so that you are also working towards the Coming on Strong trophy. After playing your 10th game, you will be ranked and earn the trophy.

Note: If you've previously played the 10 placement matches in any of the competitive playlists prior to the 1.35 patch, then just play another match in that playlist and the trophy will pop. Credit to Jerry Appleby for this.

  • Score or Assist a combined 30 goals or assists in Casual or Competitive Online matches

You may have already earned this trophy while earning the Rank Up trophy but if you haven't, then you should already have quite a few scores and assists from your ten games played in competitive matches. If you're still a few short, from the Main Menu go: Play Online -> Find Match. For this trophy you can select any game from the Casual or Competitive Playlist. However, the Casual playlist might have some easier competition in it, potentially making this trophy easier. Choose whichever you prefer and then select to play the game. While playing, it doesn't matter if you win or lose, just try to score as many goals and get as many assists as you can to earn this trophy. After scoring your 30th combined goal and/or assist, you will earn the trophy.

Tip: Keep in mind you can play Dropshot or Rumble matches online in Casual modes if you are having a hard time scoring.

DLC: Clubs Update

6 trophies

  • Create or Join a Rocket League Club

Once you're at the game's main menu, select Play and then Create Club. Give your new club a tag, a name and if you like, some colours that you feel best represent your club's message. Confirm your details and the trophy will pop. Alternatively, a friend who has created a club already could invite you to theirs and the trophy will pop as soon as you join.

  • Play and complete an Online match with one or more Clubmates

Self-explanatory. Head in to a match online (casual or competitive) with your clubmate and play the match. It doesn't matter if you win or lose. You will earn this whilst going for People Person, so check that trophy for more information.

  • Join and complete an Online Tournament match

From the main menu press Play and then Tournaments. You can either enter one that's about to start or create your own. Simply complete a match (it doesn't matter if you win or lose) and the trophy will pop once the match ends. You will earn this trophy whilst going for Best of the Bunch, so see that trophy for more details.

  • Play and complete 10 Online matches with one or more Clubmates

There are two ways to go about this trophy. The obvious and "legit" way would be for you and your clubmate to play ten online matches until this trophy is done. It doesn't matter if you win or lose and you may hone your skills whilst you're at it. Doing it this way may also earn you the Squad Goals trophy as well (see that trophy for more details).

Alternatively, go to your club (click Play and then Manage Club) and create a private match for you and your clubmate. Create a match against Rookie bots and using the mutator settings set the score limit to one goal. Either score a goal yourself or let the bots have at it. Once a goal is scored the match will end and that will be 1/10 towards this trophy and Together is Better will pop. Do this nine more times and this trophy will pop.

  • Score a Goal while in a Club Match (Online Matchmaking only)

This trophy cannot be earned in private matches. You have to select Play Online and play against an opposition team that is also made of the same club members. If you match against someone that isn't in a club then quit the match and search again. Once you find someone, do your best to score a goal. You'll get lucky eventually if you keep at it! The trophy will pop instantly and you can quit the match if you wish, unless you're working towards People Person. This must be done with clubmates against other clubmates for the trophy to pop.

Alternatively, you can try and boost this with a single friend as long as you both have second controllers and alternate accounts, or a group of four people. Your friend will need to create their own club and you both want to search for a 2v2 casual match in a quieter region, such as Oceania or East Asia. With any luck, you'll match against each other, score a goal each and be done.

Personally, you're best off going for this whilst playing the ten online matches for People Person.

From what I have found so far, this will only work in a standard Soccar match and not any of the others (like Hoops, for example), nor will it work using splitscreen.

  • Earn the MVP award in any Online Tournament match

From the main menu press Play and then Tournaments. You must be in at least a 2v2 tournament as you cannot get the MVP award when playing solo. You can either enter one that's about to start or create your own. Once the match starts do everything you can to get the MVP at the end of the match. Score goals, centre the ball, makes saves, get the first touch. More often than not, simply scoring and winning will net you the award and the trophy as well. You don't need to complete the whole tournament. Get the MVP award in one match and the trophy will pop. If the opposition team quits the match before it ends (or even as soon as it starts) one of you can get the trophy that way.

Luckily there's a far easier method! Create a private tournament (with its own name and password), set the score limit to one goal and give the name and password to your friend. Again you either both need a second controller and account, or a total group of four (two in each party). Being a private tournament that only you and your friend(s) know the password for means you'll be drawn against each other. Simply score the winning goal, the match will end and you'll get the MVP award. Repeat the process for whoever else in your party needs the trophy.
