Introduction
RIDE is a motorcycle experience in video game form brought to you by Milestone, the devs best known for their yearly iteration of the MotoGP games. Other than the MotoGP series, this game brings you customization of your bikes and rider and the game features street tracks next to a handful of real life tracks. Also, instead of just racing, there’s various different events such as drag races and head to head challenges. Graphically, the game doesn’t really stand out, but the average bike lover will definitely get fun and enjoyment out of this game.
Roadmap
Step 1 – World Tour and Elite Trophies
The World Tour in this game is the career mode and your aim is to rank up to the #1 position of the rankings. By just starting the world tour, you will earn your first trophy: This is Ride!. Set the difficulty (you can play on easy as there are no difficulty related trophies) and choose your first bike to start racing. There is no strict order in which you’re supposed to play the events on the tour, so feel free to buy other bikes to be able to race in other events at any given time. Right before you start the first race, enter the bike settings menu for the Men at work trophy and during your first race, press and select Free Camera for another easy trophy. There is no need to get a gold medal on each event, but you will need to get one gold medal on each type of event. Obviously, you will rise the world rankings way faster and earn more money if you do get gold on the events though. Try not to spend too much money on upgrades and save up as much money as possible to lessen the grind on the Moneybags and The Collector trophies later on. You should be able to win most races with no upgrades or just a few anyway. Also, check the requirements for racing the Elite Trophies and as soon as you're eligible for one; finish that race first as it will contribute greatly towards your ranking and credits. You will have to get a gold medal on all of these Elite Trophies and finishing these will net you both the Halfway and The world is yours trophies.
Step 2 – Get 50 bikes in your garage
When you reach the #1 spot on the rankings in World Tour, you will likely have around 15 to 20 bikes in your garage. There is a trophy however for having 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 50 bikes in your garage. Keep doing races and other events to gain enough money to buy this amount of bikes. Keep in mind that you can actually keep buying the same bike over and over until you reach 50, so if you want to do this in the fastest possible manner, you’ll be best off by just buying the cheapest bike over and over. Do make sure that you buy at least one bike of every available brand first though. If you haven’t obtained the Moneybags trophy for having 100,000 credits during the World Tour, then you should get this out of the way in this step too, since this trophy is not cumulative and requires you to own the full amount at one point.
Step 3 – Miscellaneous
Go to your rider menu and switch your rider gear for the Swag! trophy. Next, in the same menu, change the title of your rider for the The Aristocrat trophy. Start up a time trial race from the main menu and find a track with a long straight. Before you start, make sure in your settings that the wheelie control function is set to off. Now on the long straight, pull while accelerating to pull off a wheelie and moderate the throttle to keep control. If you keep the wheelie going for 8 seconds, you will gain the Monocycle trophy. Now build up some speed with your bike and make a full brake with
for the For the fans trophies. Use a rewind via the
button to watch a replay for They used to call me McFly trophy and then complete a valid lap for the A ghost has appeared trophy.
Step 4 – Online
Lastly, you will get the online trophies out of the way. First, go to your rider menu and add someone from your friend list as your team mate. Now, go to the online part and get the championship out of the way first, because these will count towards the 20 races you will have to race in total. After you completed the championship (which can be as short as 2 races), just race 20 races and you’ll be done. Keep in mind though that a race only counts if you complete the race. If you get a DNF after the timer runs out, it won’t count. To easily get the online trophies out of the way, you can boost these with a partner. If you want to find a boosting partner, please use the boosting thread found HERE.
