Resident Evil Revelations 2 is the first Resident Evil game to be released episodically. There are four main episodes, along with two extra episodes (though only the main episodes are required for the platinum). You can buy these episodes individually for £4.99/€5.99/AU$8.95/US$5.99, or the Complete Season for £19.99/€24.99/AU$37.95/US$24.99, which also includes two extra episodes, and HUNK for Raid Mode.

Trophy-wise, you'll have to play through each episode at least three times, and it is up to the player how they do this. You can either do them in full playthroughs, or do all the playthroughs for a single episode before moving onto the next. There are only 3 very easy trophies tied to Raid Mode this time, so you won't have to spend hours grinding it unlike the first game.

The game has two endings - a good and a bad ending. For those interested in witnessing both endings, we will explain how to do so at the bottom of the road map. Neither ending is required for trophies, but they are required if you want to get all collectibles or complete all in-game records. The two extra episodes - The Struggle and Little Miss - will also cover some parts of the story previously left unknown, so if you want to experience the full story you will want to see both endings as well as play the extra episodes.

Step 1: Complete the game on any difficulty, collecting as many miscellaneous trophies as you can

Start the game on any difficulty and just enjoy it. Whilst there are collectibles in the game, none are tied to trophies, so you don't have to go out of your way to find any. You may want to work towards miscellaneous trophies on the way, or work towards medals in each chapter, but this is up to the individual player. Please see respective trophies for details.

When in Episode Three, the way you defeat Claire's boss will determine which ending you get at the end of Episode Four. The endings are not related to trophies at all, however. Please see the end of the road map for details.

Upon completing Step 1, you will earn:

Three Women and a Barry (Episode One)
Scared to Death (Episode Two)
Conquered Fear (Episode Three)
True or False (Episode Four)

Step 2: Complete the game on Countdown Mode

After completing an episode on any difficulty, you'll unlock Countdown Mode (after purchasing it for 1000 BP). Countdown Mode is a time attack mode with a preset difficulty where time is rewarded from killing enemies and grabbing hourglasses, so you have to be efficient and know your way around to do this.

Below are several tips that apply to all chapters and episodes, whereas each individual trophy will have tips that apply to the particular episode:

  • Skip unnecessary encounters, as you'll simply waste time by doing so, unless they grant large time bonuses.
  • Learn the layout of the individual chapters, so you can progress through as quickly as possible.
  • Take the shortest routes possible.

Upon completing Step 2, you will earn:

"Less Talking, More Walking" (Episode One)
"Run, Moira. Run!" (Episode Two)
Pedal to the Metal (Episode Three)
"You are Authorized to Panic" (Episode Four)

Step 3: Complete the game on Invisible Mode

After completing an episode on any difficulty, you'll unlock Invisible Mode (after purchasing it for 1000 BP). Invisible Mode is essentially Survival difficulty, with the added stipulation that all enemies will be invisible. You will be able to see them for a few seconds when using Moira's flashlight or Natalia's point. You'll want to be well versed in the game before doing this, as knowing where the enemies are is half the battle.

It is highly recommended that you level up certain skills for Invisible Mode, as they will make things like dodging, Moira's flashlight/crowbar and Natalia's awareness much more useful:

  • Evade - dodge effectiveness
  • Crouch Advantage - temporary invincibility when crouching
  • Evade Extension - dodge distance
  • Evade Recovery - dodge recovery time
  • Evade Cancel - cancel any attack with a dodge
  • Unholstered - Claire/Barry use guns as AI
  • Batter Up - crowbar damage
  • Light is Might - flashlight effectiveness
  • Laying Bricks - brick damage
  • Sixth Sense - Natalia awareness effectiveness

Below are several tips that apply to all chapters and episodes, whereas each individual trophy will have tips that apply to the particular episode:

  • Abuse Moira's flashlight and Natalia's point to know where your enemies are.
  • Decoy and Smoke Bottles are very handy when overwhelmed, as they can distract and incapacitate groups of enemies.
  • Skip as many encounters as you can, no need to fight every enemy.
  • Feel free to use all your ammunition and items in a single chapter, as your inventory is predetermined for every chapter.

Upon completing Step 3, you will earn:

"Not Even Close to Easy"(Episode One)
"That's Gonna Be Fun" (Episode Two)
I Can See Undead People (Episode Three)
"There's Something in Here" (Episode Four)

Step 4: Complete Episode 1 with Knife only, Medals and Clean Up

The only thing left to do is complete Episode 1 using only your Knife, collecting all medals and miscellaneous trophies, as well as the three Raid Mode trophies. These can all be done at any point in your journey to platinum; you don't have to leave them until last. See respective trophies for details.

Upon completing Step 4, you will earn:

Episode One:

Only Good Guys Win Medals
Who Needs Fire?
Cutting Edge

Episode Two:

There's a Medal for That

Pedro, I'm Sorry...
"I Do Not Like Glasps," I Gasped

Episode Three:

Sweet, Golden Medal
A Ripple in Time

Here's My Resignation

Episode Four:

I'm Not Leaving Without My Medal
What You Can't See Can Kill You
Routes of Future Past

Episodes One - Four:

Bounty Hunter
Cure for the Afflicted
Revenant Reaper
Knifin' Around
Fudge Them Up!
And STAY Down
From the Shadows
Flashlight Duty
I Can Do Blunt Weapons
Brick Layer
Line 'Em Up!
Disarmed
Unfriendly Skies
Now That's Teamwork!
Friend Indeed
Fish in a Barrel
Raiders of the Evil
Jammin'
I Saw, I Conquered

Which will ultimately unlock:

The Never-Ending Nightmare

________________________________________________

A Note On The Endings:

There are two endings in the game - a good ending and a bad ending. These endings are not required for any of the trophies, but the good ending is required if you decide to go for all collectibles and records. Which ending you get is determined by how you defeat the boss in Claire's Episode Three. One way will grant you the bad ending, while the other will grant you the good ending.

Spoiler:

If you kill Mutant Neil with Moira (see Here's My Resignation), you will be locked into the Good Ending. If, however, you kill him as Claire, you will be locked into the Bad Ending. In order to change which ending you get, you can simply replay Claire's Episode Three to change the outcome.

44 trophies ( 32  6  )

  • Unlock all trophies.

One has become a sluice master.

  • Clear Episode One.

Episode 1 consists of 2 sub episodes, one for Claire and one for Barry. For this trophy, you just need to complete both of these and the trophy will unlock after the credits.

  • Clear Episode One in Countdown Mode.

Countdown Mode will become available after clearing Episode One, and must be purchased for 1000 BP in the "Extras" menu before you can play it. Countdown Mode is essentially a time attack, where you must get through to the end of each campaign scenario before time runs out, with a preset difficulty of Survival. You start with 3 minutes, and will gain time for each enemy type killed (varying from 2 seconds to 20 seconds). There will also be blue hourglasses you can melee that give 60 seconds, and orange hourglasses that return your timer to 3 minutes (not entirely sure what happens if you destroy one of these when you have more than 3 minutes on the clock, however).

This is best done after you're knowledgeable about the episode, and know exactly where to go. You will want to skip most enemies, with the exception of those that you can quickly kill and gain time from, as opposed to losing time and ammunition. For Claire's campaign, that mostly includes the enemies whilst you're escaping in the flamethrower room, and for Barry's campaign it's mostly the Revenants you find at the end.

To make Episode One easier for yourself, you'll want to avoid using the flamethrower with Claire. Using this forces Barry to detour to deactivate it, which can cost you too much time. If you have to use the flamethrower, you can still get through with enough time; you'll just have to skip all the enemies in the cellblocks with Barry. Once you open up the control room and open the upper floor cells, change to Natalia and head straight to the back right cell to crawl through, ignoring all enemies. There'll be a blue hourglass through this section, so make sure you have a brick to get the time, otherwise you likely won't have enough time. For Barry's campaign, use Natalia when sprinting through the areas with Revenants, as she can activate everything just the same as Barry, with the added advantage of not being able to get grabbed by the Revenants.

You can finish each campaign scenario with plenty of time still on the clock, about 3-4 minutes, so it's very doable.

  • Clear Episode One in Invisible Mode.

Invisible Mode will become available after clearing Episode One, and must be purchased for 1000 BP in the "Extras" menu before you can play it. Invisible Mode is the hardest mode in the game. The difficulty is set to Survival, and the enemies are invisible. The only way to see enemies is by looking out for ripples in the environment. Getting attacked by one will reveal it for a few seconds, as will having Moira shine the torch at one or Natalia point at one (). Natalia can see the outlines of enemies still, so we advise using her as much as you can.

For the most part, you can skip the enemies and just run for the exits. Some doors you go through will close behind you and enemies will not be able to follow, so rush whenever you can. You should save this run after you have completed the other modes, as you need to know the episode very well so you can more or less know which enemies are going to be where. Ammunition is scarce in this mode as well, so make sure you only fire when you know you are going to hit an enemy. Don't just start shooting in the hope something is there.

The hardest part about episode 1 on Invisible Mode, is the flamethrower section. The best way to tackle this is to make sure you have at least 1 explosive bottle before hand. Once you put the cog into the mechanism, switch to Moira and run straight for the flamethrower. Twist it around, and then activate it by turning the valve. Now, use the crowbar on the door and switch back to Claire. There will be a few enemies in the room with you now that got in before the flamethrower was activated. You want to throw the explosive bottle in the middle of as many enemies as you can. This should kill the majority of the enemies. For the rest of this section, just keep shooting the shotgun at the Ironheads; you will be able to see them as they catch on fire coming through. All of the regular Afflicted enemies will die as soon as they get touched by the flamethrower. For the rest of her campaign, and Barry's campaign, you can just run past all of the enemies.

  • Get all medals in Episode One.

There are 10 medals in each campaign for performing particular feats in that playthrough. None of these are particularly difficult, and can be done on any difficulty or game mode. Keep an eye on these as you play to try and save yourself time. When you first play a chapter, some medals will appear hidden, and will only be shown once you complete the chapter. You do not need to get all medals in one run, once you have a medal it will be saved and you do not need to earn it again if you run through the episode again.

    Episode 1 ~ Claire's Campaign

    • Knocked down an enemy 5 times by blinding them with the light, then hitting them with a physical attack.
      • Change to Moira and shine your light at an Afflicted with until they're stunned, then change back to Claire and attack them with when the context button appears. Repeat 5 times. Both actions must be done by the player, and cannot be done against the same enemy.
    • Defeated 8 enemies with the rotating blades.
      • You can get 8 kills off the enemies throughout the level by not killing them until after the power is turned on and leading them into the blades, however there is a far easier method of obtaining it.
      • In the flamethrower section, after defeating the first few Afflicted and Ironheads, 2 Afflicted will spawn at a time until you leave. When this happens, crouch and walk underneath the rotating blade in the corner of the flamethrower room and the Afflicted will walk straight into it. Simply wait for 8 to walk into it and then crawl back out and finish the chapter. Thanks to KylieDog for bring this to our attention.
    • Stunned 10 enemies with Moira's light.
      • Simply stun 10 different enemies with Moira's light by holding .
    • Defeated 8 enemies with sub-weapons.
      • You'll find two explosive bottle during this chapter: one in the room with the Rusty Key, and one in the room directly above the Crusher Room (where the Rusty Key is used). You can also carry them over to have more than two. Once you have multiple, use them against either the Giant Whip Spiders in the crusher room or against the horde in the flamethrower room.
    • Defeated 3 enemies using the stealth attack.
      • Before attempting this, make sure to turn off Moira's flashlight () and crouch with Claire (). Then sneak behind 3 enemies and stealth kill them with . This works against the Afflicted and the Ironheads. The best enemies to do this against are the one in the rotating blade hallway, and the ones in the cellblock.
    • Defeated 8 enemies with a headshot.
      • Aim for the head, it's Survival Horror 101.
    • Found 3 treasures.
      • When using Moira's light to find hidden items, they'll sometimes be gemstones that give you BP. Find 3 of these. There is a Sapphire that is in the ceiling of one of the cells that you can shoot down to collect.
    • Killed 10 Giant Whip Spiders.
      • The spiders found in the crusher room. Just kill them all before activating the power, and kill them again afterwards.
    • Opened 3 military boxes.
      • Military boxes are the blue chests that only Moira can open. The game will teach you how to open these.
      1. The first crate can be found after Claire boosts Moira up in the room with the torture device.
      2. The second one can be found as you are making your way to the basement. A few enemies with ambush you from a door to the right, and opposite this door are some stairs leading down. Don't go down the stairs, instead go to the back of this room and follow the corridor. An enemy will smash through a window just ahead. In the room you enter just after this, you can find the military crate.
      3. The third and final crate can be found once you are outside. Just before the bridge section, there is a gate on the left. The crate is just by this gate.
      • For visual locations of all three crates you can refer to a video found here.
    • Found 6 hidden items with Moira.
      • Use Moira's flashlight to shine on glowing spots. These spots will only be visible with Moira.

    Episode 1 ~ Barry's Campaign

    • Defeated 5 Revenant by only hitting their weak spots.
      • Revenants are the enemies with multiple extra limbs and sometimes weapons attached to their arms. If you change to Natalia, you'll see a glow on their body which indicates their weak spots.
      • Shoot this with Barry and a big yellow ball will appear in the spot; keep shooting this until they die. If any of their other limbs go black, that means you've destroyed them and thus they won't count towards this.
    • Didn't fire the gun in the detention center control area.
      • Just use your knife against the Rotters, you'll get this while doing Cutting Edge.
    • Hit enemies with Natalia's brick 15 times.
      • Bricks will be scattered throughout the chapter and appear as blue glows when playing as Natalia. Pick them up, then throw them at enemies ( + ) or hit them with it (). It doesn't need to kill the enemies.
    • Defeated 2 enemies with a follow-up attack.
      • Sometimes when you shoot, knife or brick an enemy, they will be stunned. You can run up to them and press for a melee attack with Barry when the button prompt appears. This will knock them on the ground, allowing you to do a follow-up attack with again. You can also do this if they fall over by other means.
    • Defeated 8 enemies with sub-weapons.
      • There are multiple sub-weapons throughout this chapter, as well as the opportunity to make them. You can also carry them across for a larger supply. Use these against Rotters if you can, as they will die in one hit whereas Revenants may not. The best opportunities for this are against the first pack of Rotters you meet (4-5), as well as the 3 hiding around a wall in the stealth section.
    • Defeated 6 enemies using the stealth attack.
      • Once the game teaches you how to stealth, kill the enemy in front of you and then do the same for the three around the corner to the right (one patrols back and forth, get him first).
      • Crawl up the stairs for another easy stealth, then you should be able to get a stealth kill on one of the other enemies in this room. If not, there are plenty of other Rotters throughout the level you can stealth kill.
    • Defeated 6 enemies with the knife.
      • Just knife Rotters and Revenants, Giant Whip Spiders don't count. You'll most likely get this while doing Cutting Edge.
    • Opened 2 gimmick boxes.
      • Yellow boxes that only Natalia can open. They open the same way as Moira's military boxes.
      1. The first can be found inside the control room (requires the flamethrower to have been used by Claire to access).
      2. The second can be found in the woods after the detour hut where you first encounter a Revenant.
      • For visual locations, you can refer to a video found here.
    • Found 6 hidden items with Natalia.
      • Same as with Moira, but you have to point at them. These spots will only be visible for Natalia.
    • Escaped from the darkness of the forest, starting from the detour hut, within 40 seconds.
      • This counts from the moment you open the door after encountering the first Revenant until Barry says "finally, a clearing". Just hold to sprint constantly, dodging with + when necessary. Use Natalia to sprint as Revenants can't grab her. If you don't think you've run the section fast enough, you can restart the checkpoint until you're happy.
  • Get a total of 50,000 BP.

You earn BP by finding gems, earning medals, and killing enemies in a specific way. 50,000 will not take long, and you will more than likely get this by the time you finish up all the trophies in episode 1. You will easily earn over 50,000 on your way to the plat though so don't worry too much if you don't get this trophy during episode 1. You do not need to have 50,000 on you at once; you just need to have earned 50,000 in total. You can check your progress towards this trophy by selecting the "Gameplay Stats" option on the pause menu, then choosing the "Records" option. Scroll down until you see the title for Bounty Hunter and it will say how much you have towards the 50,000.

  • Defeat 100 Afflicted in the main campaign.

Afflicted are the main enemy type in Claire's campaign. They are your standard enemy who will attack you with either melee weapons, or by biting you, and will sometimes run. You will easily get 100 just by playing through Claire's campaigns, so you do not need to worry about this trophy. The basic enemy for Barry's campaigns are the Rotters, so they do not count towards this. You can check your progress towards this trophy by selecting the "Gameplay Stats" option on the pause menu, then choosing the "Records" option. Scroll down until you see the title for "Cure for the Afflicted" and it will say how much you have towards the 100.

  • Defeat 100 Revenants in the main campaign.

Revenants aren't as common as the Afflicted enemies, and they only appear at specific parts of the game. The first time you encounter them is during Episode 1, Barry's campaign. A Revenant is an enemy made up of lots of different body parts. They crawl across the floor, or stand very tall. The are quick as well, which makes them dangerous and hard to kill. Each Revenant has a weak spot, this can be found by switching to Natalia and looking for the glowing spot on one. it will either be on its head, right arm, left arm, right leg or left leg. You want to shoot this spot only, and it will reveal a weak spot. Keep shooting it and it will explode, which then kills the Revenant.

As with the Cure for the Afflicted trophy, this will unlock through natural story progression. You can check your progress towards this trophy by selecting the "Gameplay Stats" option on the pause menu, then choosing the "Records" option. Scroll down until you see the title for "Revenant Reaper" and it will say how much you have towards the 100.

  • Defeat 100 enemies with the knife in the main campaign.

The knife is your melee weapon, and Claire and Barry both carry one. The knife is weak and it takes quite a few slashes to even kill a regular Afflicted enemy. You can soften them up with gunfire, then finish them off with your knife for an easier kill. If you are using your knife lots, you will more than likely just unlock this without trying. You need to complete the whole of episode 1 using your knife only for the Cutting Edge trophy so this will add a lot of kills towards the total. You can check your progress towards this trophy by selecting the "Gameplay Stats" option on the pause menu, then choosing the "Records" option. Scroll down until you see the title for "Knifin' Around" and it will say how much you have towards the 100.

  • Defeat 50 enemies with physical attacks in the main campaign.

Physical attacks are where you kick an enemy. You can only do this to stunned enemies though, so you need to actively go for this trophy. You can stun an enemy in two ways. The first, you can shoot an enemy in the head with a weak weapon (such as the assault rifle), and the enemy has a chance to get stunned. Once stunned, go up to it and press and hold the button when you see the on screen prompt. You will need to upgrade the "Charge Attack" skill in order to do this. The second way, you can focus Moira's torch on an enemy and after a few seconds they will get stunned. This is by far the easiest way to stun an enemy, so make sure you utilise this.

The best way to farm this is to get to the flamethrower section of Episode 1, Claire's campaign. Put the cog into the gear mechanism and then kill all the enemies that spawn in behind you. From now on, an infinite supply of regular afflicted enemies will spawn in behind you. They will come in groups of two. Simply shine the light on them with Moira, then quickly switch to Claire and perform a physical attack.

We recommend purchasing all 3 skills for the "Charge Attack" as this will allow you to deal much more damage. For it to count towards the trophy, you need to kill the enemy. You can check your progress towards this trophy by selecting the "Gameplay Stats" option on the pause menu, then choosing the "Records" option. Scroll down until you see the title for "Fudge Them Up!" and it will say how much you have towards the 50. These types of attacks also count as a "Follow up" so you can work towards this trophy, and And STAY Down at the same time.

  • Perform 50 follow-ups in the main campaign.

A follow-up, is when you attack an enemy with when they are either stunned, or on the floor. In order to attack an enemy on the floor with a follow-up, you need to purchase the "Follow-Up" skill. This will allow Claire and Barry to finish off an enemy with their knife when they are on the floor. For the trophy, you just need to do 50 of these in the main campaign, and it does not need to kill them either. Simply performing a follow-up is enough. You can check your progress towards this trophy by selecting the "Gameplay Stats" option on the pause menu, then choosing the "Records" option. Scroll down until you see the title for "And STAY Down" and it will say how much you have towards the 50.

  • Defeat 20 enemies with stealth attacks in the main campaign.

You'll be introduced to the stealth attacks fairly early in Episode 1, Barry's campaign. These can be done against normal enemies such as Afflicted, but not Revenants. In order to do it, you must sneak behind an enemy (crouch with ), then press when the context button appears. This shouldn't be too hard to do, as once introduced to stealth attack, there will be 7 easy to stealth enemies at your disposal. Chances are you will get this over your playthroughs without trying, or while going for stealth-related medals. You can check your progress in the "Progress and Statistics" section in the pause menu, then scroll down to the "From the Shadows" stat.

  • Use Moira's light to stun 50 enemies in the main campaign.

Moira can stun enemies by focusing her flashlight on them for a few seconds, using . Once stunned, they can be attacked with a follow up attack ( as Claire) or easily avoided. Simply stun 50 enemies throughout the game, which you should get without really trying, as stunning enemies is one of Moira's only attacks. You can check your progress in the "Progress and Statistics" section in the pause menu, then scroll down to the "Flashlight Duty" stat.

  • Use Moira's crowbar to defeat 50 enemies in the main campaign.

Alongside the flashlight, Moira also gets a crowbar, which she can swing with . This isn't as powerful as Claire's knife, but you can increase its effectiveness with the Batter Up skill in the right skill tree. The best way to do this is just against your standard Afflicted, as once upgraded they will die pretty fast. Chances are you will get this naturally. You can check your progress in the "Progress and Statistics" section in the pause menu, then scroll down to the "I Can Do Blunt Weapons" stat.

  • Defeat 20 enemies with a brick as Natalia in the main campaign.

Natalia is the little girl who is your partner in Barry's campaign. For the trophy, you need to defeat 20 enemies with the brick. Bricks are the only weapons Natalia can use, and she has two attacks with them. She can throw the brick at enemies by holding down and then pressing to throw it. The second attack she has is a simple melee attack which is done by pressing while holding a brick.

You might want to upgrade the Laying Bricks skill in the right skill tree so these bricks do more damage, as to start off they are very weak and will only stun enemies. You can easily level it to level 2, but the last level will cost 8000 BP, so is quite expensive.

You need to actually kill them with the brick for it to count towards the trophy. Bricks can only be used three times before they break, but with the fully maxed out Laying Breaks skill, it will kill most crawling Rotters in one hit, though other Rotters may require softening first. If you want to grind this, you can simply kill the first crawling Rotter you see when you're introduced to the brick, then select "Retry" to repeat the checkpoint.

You can check your progress in the "Progress and Statistics" section in the pause menu, then scroll down to the "Brick Layer" stat.

  • Clear Episode One only using the knife.

    Potentially Glitched (PS3)

You need to complete episode 1 in its entirety, using only the knife. This might sound hard but as you can run past most of the encounters with enemies in episode 1, it is actually pretty easy. You can do this on Casual difficulty, so we recommend doing so. You cannot do this on your first playthrough, as you are required to shoot down a key, but on consecutive playthroughs, the key is within reach. Don't forget that you can use + to dodge in any direction, making it quite easy to simply avoid enemies or kill them without getting struck.

Depending on how much BP you have, you may also want to consider buying the following skills from the left skill tree: Dashing Knife (knife while dashing), Quick Knife (increases knife speed), Hair Splitter (increases knife damage) and any of the Evade skills. However you shouldn't necessarily need these, we managed without the skills on Casual difficulty.

This trophy appears to be glitched on PS3, or at the very least is very particular on how it will unlock. It seems to unlock if upon completing Claire's scenario, you quit out to the main menu and then select Barry's scenario, as opposed to continuing. Thanks to Tables for bringing this to our attention.

To make sure you don't void the trophy, do not do the following. Doing any of these will cause the trophy to not unlock:

    • Do not shine Moira's torch at enemies. It's OK to do it to items, but don't shine it at enemies.
    • Do not use Moira's crowbar, doing so will void the trophy. Even swinging it in the air will void it, so be careful which character you're on before you hit !
    • Do not throw bricks at enemies as Natalia. Using a brick to open the gate is okay.
    • Do not use sub-weapons.
    • The obvious, don't fire your gun at all.
    • Do not let enemies get attacked by the AI.
      • For Claire/Barry, they mustn't shoot the enemy at all. To best avoid this happening, try and not purchase the Unholstered skill, so that Claire and Barry don't use their gun when AI-controlled. If you do have this skill, make sure you are always playing as Claire/Barry, except for when Moira/Natalia need to open something to advance. You can also simply deposit your weapons at a workbench so that Claire/Barry cannot shoot at all. If you deposit their weapons, you can essentially play as Moira/Natalia at all times except for when you need to knife enemies, so they can't use their abilities either.
      • For Moira/Natalia, they can stun/brick an enemy, but you cannot use a follow-up attack. This is yet to be 100% confirmed, but from multiple cases this appears to be what causes most people to void the trophy. You can always tell them to stay back with + , if need be.
      • You can of course avoid all of this by playing in split screen, but the person playing as Moira/Natalia would have to avoid doing anything but open specific doors.

Several things are unconfirmed as to whether they void the trophy or not, but it is recommended you try avoiding them just to be safe:

    • Physical attacks. If an enemy is stunned, don't press when prompted.
    • Follow-up attacks. If you knock an enemy over, let them get up instead of pressing when prompted.
    • Stealth kills. Don't press when prompted while behind an enemy. Either just avoid the enemy or get their attention before you attack.

You can however do a few things that don't involve the knife, and will still unlock the trophy:

    • Aiming your weapon.
    • Enemies getting killed by the rotating blades.
    • Enemies getting killed by the flamethrower.
    • Skipping cutscenes.

The trophy will unlock on the results screen.

  • Defeat two enemies with one shot in the main campaign.

You need the python, or a magnum to get this trophy, as it is one of the few guns that can penetrate enemies and kill 2+ with one bullet. However, bullets for the magnum are very scarce so make sure you don't waste any. The very first time you go into Barry's campaign you will start off with 6 bullets for it. You can find more by having Natalia point towards hidden objects that only she can see. Python bullets will not spawn in regular ammo crates.

There are plenty of chances to get this trophy, but the very first place would be at the start of Barry's episode 1 campaign. Once you open the shutter doors, Natalia will mention about monsters. The very first one you see, kill it and then move forward. Two more will come through the open doorway to your right. Simply line up a shot and hopefully you will kill two of them with one bullet. The trophy will unlock shortly afterwards.

  • Destroy 30 Revenants' weapon arms.

Revenants are first encountered during Episode 1, Barry's Campaign. Some of them have big weapon arms. Most of them however do not have any weapons, or they have a small metal spiked arm. Disarming these Revenants won't count for the trophy. When you do happen to see the ones with a large weapon on one of their arms, you want to keep shooting the top part of the arm until it turns black. Once it has turned black, the arm just shrivels up and the weapon will fall off.

You have to be pretty good with your aim as if you hit the metal it won't do any damage at all. You need to do this 30 times across the whole campaign to unlock the trophy. You can farm it however. Once you find one, simply disarm it and then pause the game and select "Retry". The disarm will still count and you can go back and disarm it again. You can check your progress in the "Progress and Statistics" section in the pause menu, then scroll down to the "Disarmed" stat.

(An image showing what the Revenants with weapon arms look like)
  • Shoot down 30 Afflicted in mid-jump in the main campaign.

Note: You do not have to kill them mid air; just shoot them in mid air so they cannot complete the aerial attack.

The weapon-wielding Afflicted in Claire's campaign will occasionally leap at you. When they do this, use a powerful weapon like a shotgun. This will likely come naturally (or at least have many opportunities for it) when all episodes release, but currently the best way to do it is to find a weapon-wielding Afflicted, wait until he leaps at you, then shoot him in mid-jump. Afterwards, you can restart the checkpoint and repeat ad nauseam. There is an infinite amount of enemies at the section with the flamethrower in Claire's campaign, Episode 1, so you can farm this trophy there.

  • Have Moira stun an enemy and Claire follow up with a physical attack in the main campaign.

This trophy can be earned at any point during Claire's campaign. All you need to do is shine the torch on an Afflicted enemy until they get stunned and smoke starts to come off of them. Once they are stunned switch to Claire by pressing and then go up to the stunned enemy and press when you see the prompt. The AI will also sometimes perform a physical attack on a stunned enemy, and this will also unlock the trophy. For a visual walkthrough, refer to the video below.

  • Save your captured partner ten times in the main campaign.

Every so often, your partner will be grabbed by an enemy, and a circle with a line through it will appear above their head. When this happens, attack the enemy by any means necessary to get them off your partner, and it will count. This will most definitely come naturally over the course of the game.

  • Defeat five enemies with one exploding bottle or one firebomb bottle in the main campaign.

During Claire's Campaign of Episode 1, you will reach a basement with lots of spiked cages and you will have to go into a side room that has a "Rusty key". In this same room is a explosive bottle on the shelf. Next, go through the door that needs the rusty key (you need to do this to progress with the story) and you will see a pit with spiders in it. Group five together and throw the bomb towards them. You should get 5 easily, but if not select the "Retry" option on the pause menu. The explosive bottle pretty much kills every enemy in the game in one hit, so you may get this trophy without even trying. Here is a visual walkthrough showing the method above.

  • Clear one Raid Mode mission.

In order to access Raid Mode, you must first start the campaign on any difficulty. You don't even have to play; you can quit straight away and Raid Mode will now be available on the menu. Once you start it, select a character and your loadout, then you can deploy from the red door. At first you will only have Mission 01 of Gauntlet I available, so simply complete this for the trophy. You just have to defeat the enemies until the end token appears, at which point you can finish the mission.

  • Evaluate an item in Raid Mode.

In Raid Mode missions, you'll occasionally find chests. Inside these chests will be records, which are essentially unidentified weapons or weapon parts. Once you complete a mission, these records can be evaluted at the Jukebox to the left of the red door. Simply select the record you want to evalute and pay the gold to see what it is, and you'll get your trophy.

  • Clear one Gauntlet in Raid Mode.

A gauntlet is a full set of Raid Mode missions. Gauntlet I on Normal (the only Gauntlet you have available to you at the start) has six missions to complete, so simply complete these for the trophy.

  • Clear Episode Two.

Episode 2 consists of 2 sub episodes, one for Claire and one for Barry. For this trophy, you just need to complete both of these and the trophy will unlock after the credits.

  • Clear Episode Two in Countdown Mode.

Countdown Mode will become available after clearing Episode Two, and must be purchased for 1000 BP in the "Extras" menu before you can play it. Countdown Mode is essentially a time attack, where you must get through to the end of each campaign scenario before time runs out, with a preset difficulty of Survival. You start with 3 minutes, and will gain time for each enemy type killed (varying from 2 seconds to 20 seconds). There will also be blue hourglasses you can melee that give 60 seconds, and orange hourglasses that return your timer to 3 minutes.

This is best done after you're knowledgeable about the episode, and know exactly where to go. You will want to skip most enemies, with the exception of those that you can quickly kill and gain time from, as opposed to losing time and ammunition. For Claire's campaign, that mostly includes the enemies whilst you're defending the bar, and for Barry's campaign it's mostly the Revenants and Glasps you find on your direct path. Don't bother straying for extra kills as Barry, as you'll hardly gain any time and just waste ammunition.

To make Episode Two easier for yourself, you'll want to kill Pedro with Claire. Not only does this give Claire 120 seconds of bonus time, it also allows Barry to pick up the Drill and bypass fighting Pedro at the end of his campaign. When collecting objective items, go directly for them and don't waste time in the village. For Barry's campaign, just focus on the mission at hand, and try take out enemies as efficiently as possible. For some enemies it may be wise to stealth kill them, as the extra bullets may be more beneficial than the extra seconds. Ammo will be scarce, as you have a new inventory upon starting Countdown Mode, thus won't have anything you had from Episode One Countdown Mode.

  • Clear Episode Two in Invisible Mode.

Invisible Mode will become available after clearing Episode Two, and must be purchased for 1000 BP in the "Extras" menu before you can play it.

You should save this run after you have completed the other modes, as you need to know the episode very well so you can more or less know which enemies are going to be where. Ammunition is scarce in this mode as well, so make sure you only fire when you know you are going to hit an enemy. Don't just start shooting in the hope something is there.

During Claire's campaign, you will want to be very thorough in the village before you start searching for the fuel and battery, to collect as much ammo and sub-weapons as you can. Use Moira almost exclusively, her flashlight combined with her upgraded crowbar was suitable enough to take out all standard Afflicted, while Claire would shoot without using your ammo. When defending the bar, abuse Moira's crowbar on all the enemies, and if you get overwhelmed you can throw a decoy bottle. Don't bother killing Pedro as Claire, as he will be easier to fight with Barry, due to the facts that Natalia can spot his weakspots and that there there aren't constant Afflicted attacking you. For the rest of her campaign, you can more or less run past everything, except for the final battle where you can burn through your ammo and sub-weapons to survive.

For Barry's campaign, you can handle the Revenants either by stealth killing them or simply avoiding them. The Glasps are best handled by one-hit killing them with your magnum or rifle from a distance, as they won't be moving, though if they are alerted and start moving around erratically, your best bet is to fire single rounds with your assault rifle, so as to avoid wasting too much ammo. Given the chapter is almost exclusively Revenants and Glasps, it's quite easy to get through, up until Pedro. To kill him, you must shoot all of his eyes. Use Natalia to determine which is his weak eye, then try hit it with your assault rifle. You'll want to have a fair amount of ammunition for your assault rifle, as hitting the last few eyes are very difficult with other guns, due to how erratic he gets.

  • Get all medals in Episode Two.

    Episode 2 ~ Claire's Campaign

    • Knocked down an enemy 5 times by blinding them with the light, then hitting them with a physical attack.
      • Change to Moira and shine your light at an Afflicted with until they're stunned, then change back to Claire and attack them with when the context button appears. Repeat 5 times. Both actions must be done by the player, and cannot be done against the same enemy.
    • Cleared the siege in the bar without any of the windows being broken.
      • After you disable the siren, you need to defend the bar from afflicted trying to get through the windows. There are 6 windows in total that you need to defend. This is easier than it sounds, as the afflicted die in one/two shots to the head with the pistol. Play on casual difficulty to make things easier. Not a single window can get fully broken, but they take a lot of damage before they break. Just don't let afflicted hit them for too long. If one happens to break, just pause the game and select "Retry".
    • Stunned 10 enemies with Moira's light.
      • Simply stun 10 different enemies with Moira's light by holding .
    • Defeated 8 enemies with sub-weapons.
      • Unlike Episode 1, there are lots of sub weapon parts to be picked up at the start so you will have a couple from the get go. The best place to get this medal is when you are defending the bar from the afflicted. Don't shoot the afflicted, simply let them through the windows until there are 5 or so in the room. Then, throw down an explosive bottle or a decoy bottle. It should kill all of them. You can now either wait for more enemies to enter the room, or kill another group when Mutant Pedro is running about.
    • Defeated 3 enemies using the stealth attack.
      • There aren't many opportunities for this, but there are more than enough for the medal. Once the siren starts, there are a total of 3 afflicted that will be walking around near the door to the bar. It's possible to kill all 3 of these with stealth attacks. The next opportunity for stealth kills, is when you enter the park area. There are a couple of afflicted walking about here, and you can stealth kill another 3.
    • Defeated 8 enemies with a headshot.
      • Aim for the head; it's Survival Horror 101.
    • Created 3 sub-weapons by combining items.
      • Throughout the level you will find empty bottles, gun powder, alcohol etc. You use this to build sub weapons. To do this, press the touch pad (PS4) or (PS3) and then press to move to the crafting menu. You will see what stuff you need to craft what. Simply craft any 3 sub weapons for this medal.
    • Opened 3 military boxes.
      • Unlike Episode 1, there are an abundance of military crates for you to open. There are 3 in the first area alone, so you should have no trouble opening 3 of them in this episode. Just make sure to search (which you should be doing anyway for ammo) and you will find at least 3 of them.
    • Found 6 hidden items with Moira.
      • Use Moira's flashlight to shine on glowing spots. These spots will only be visible with Moira.
    • Escaped from the village without taking damage from Mutant Pedro.
      • Self explanatory, just don't get hit by Mutant Pedro at all. You can get hit by afflicted, just not him. It is fine if Pedro hits your AI partner. You want to keep running around the village until Neil drops the ladder down, then climb up. Be careful he doesn't hit you while you are climbing the ladder.

    Episode 2 ~ Barry's Campaign

    • Defeated 5 Revenant by only hitting their weak spots.
      • Revenants are the enemies with multiple extra limbs and sometimes weapons attached to their arms. If you change to Natalia, you'll see a glow on their body which indicates their weak spots.
      • Shoot this with Barry and a big yellow ball will appear in the spot, keep shooting this until they die. If any of their other limbs go black, that means you've destroyed them and thus they won't count towards this.
    • Defeated Mutant Pedro by destroying all of his eyes.
      • You need to episode select from Barry's campaign for this medal, or, don't kill Pedro during Claire's Episode 2 campaign. When you need to get the drill at the end of this level, you will fight Pedro. Now, switch to Natalia and look to see which eye has a green mist around it. This indicates which eye is the weak one. Shooting this eye once will cause it to explode. Simply keep switching back and forth so you can tell which is the weak eye, and only shoot the weak eye. Once all eyes have exploded Pedro will die and the medal requirements have been completed.
    • Hit enemies with Natalia's brick 15 times.
      • Bricks will be scattered throughout the chapter and appear as blue glows when playing as Natalia. Pick them up, then throw them at enemies ( + ) or hit them with it (). It doesn't need to kill the enemies and you can throw multiple bricks at the same enemy.
    • Defeated 2 enemies with a follow-up attack.
      • If you have Explosive Bottles, simply weaken the Revenant beforehand, then throw your Explosive Bottle to knock them over, before stabbing them with while they're on the ground.
      • If you don't have any Explosive Bottles, you'll need to lure the Slingers to hit one of the Revenants, at which point you can stab them with , twice if you're fast enough. Without level 3 Follow-Up skill, you will need to weaken the Revenants before they get attacked by the Slinger, in order to have them die from the follow-up. If they're not weakened enough, they won't die from your follow-up but instead die from the Slinger's next projectile. You can either choose to damage as much of the body without revealing the weakspot, or only reveal the weakspot and not hurt the rest of the body. Credit to Tables for discovering this.
    • Defeated 8 enemies with sub-weapons.
      • There are multiple sub-weapons throughout this chapter, as well as the opportunity to make them. Given most the enemies in this level are Revenants it's a little tricky to kill 8 enemies. The best thing to do is make sure you kill all 3 dogs in the tunnels with an explosive bottle, as you will only need 5 more now. Weaken groups of Revenants with gunfire, and then throw any type of offensive sub weapon in the middle of them.
    • Defeated 6 enemies using the stealth attack.
      • There are loads of opportunities to get stealth attacks in this level. The first section, there are 4 Revenants alone that you can stealth attack. Then a further 8 or so in the city warehouse, which you have to stealth kill for the "Defeated 5 Revenant using stealth attacks in the city warehouse" medal.
    • Defeated 6 enemies with the knife.
      • Most of the enemies in this chapter are Revenants, so it can be kinda tough to kill 6 enemies. There are 3 dogs in the tunnels, and they can easily be killed with the knife. The rest need to come from Revenants. Best thing to do is show their weak spot and then just start knifing that.
    • Opened 3 gimmick boxes.
      • Yellow boxes that only Natalia can open. They open the same way as Moira's military boxes. Unlike Episode 1, there are an abundance of gimmick boxes for you to open. Just make sure to search (which you should be doing anyway for ammo) and you will find at least 3 of them
    • Found 6 hidden items with Natalia.
      • Same as with Moira, but you have to point at them. These spots will only be visible for Natalia.
    • Defeated 5 Revenant using stealth attacks in the city warehouse.
      • As soon as you reach the area where you got separated from Neil in the previous chapter, and just after the cutscene with the figure spying on you, is when the medal starts. There are about 8 opportunities where you can get stealth kills, and this also includes the two at the end with the one that throws things at you (In order to stealth kill those, you need a smoke bomb). This is easy enough; just sneak behind them and press . Use smoke bombs to aid you.
  • Defeat 20 Glasps in the main campaign.

Glasps are first encountered during Episode 2, Barry's campaign. These enemies are unique, as they are invisible. Natalia can see them though, but only slightly. If you switch to Natalia, you will see a green or red mist around the Glasp and this indicates the general area where it is. As Barry, simply aim your gun towards it and listen to what Natalia says. She will say "More to the left / right" or she will tell you to shoot. If she tells you to shoot, that means you are aiming directly at the Glasp.

Glasps are very weak and it only takes a few shots to kill them. However, they will one hit kill you regardless of how much health you have if you get too close. Kill 20 of these enemies and the trophy will unlock. You can check your progress in the "Progress and Statistics" section in the pause menu, then scroll down to the ""I Do Not Like Glasps," I Gasped" stat.

  • Clear Episode Three.

Episode 3 consists of 2 sub episodes, one for Claire and one for Barry. For this trophy you just need to complete both of these and the trophy will unlock after the credits.

  • Clear Episode Three in Countdown Mode.

Countdown Mode will become available after clearing Episode Three, and must be purchased for 1000 BP in the "Extras" menu before you can play it.

For Claire's campaign, that mostly includes packs of enemies you can quickly kill with sub-weapons, and for Barry's campaign it's mostly the packs of Rotters early on, along with the Glasps.

For Claire's campaign, you can skip most enemies by simply running past them, though it may be wise to take out groups for a time bonus. In the slaughterhouse where you need to shoot the meat into the grinder, try and get the meat positioned right first try each time, as if you miss, you can waste a lot of time. In the graveyard, you can activate the sequence to grab the MP-AF if you remember it, but otherwise it isn't worth wasting the time to grab. Neil will take a while to kill, so make sure you only grab the orange hourglasses when your time is about to hit 0. Lead him into fire to burn him, then shoot his weakspot when it's exposed. You'll get 300 seconds upon killing him, more than enough time to finish the rest of it.

For Barry's campaign, the first 2 and a half minutes will be wasted during the opening section with Natalia on your back. After this you'll need to be fairly quick through the sewers to make up for lost time. Take out any Rotters in your path with a headshot for a quick 5 second bonus, or use sub-weapons to take out packs of them (and Giant Whip Spiders) for big time bonuses. You'll want to take out all the Glasps you find too, preferrably before they are aware of your position, as the 20 seconds a piece of very helpful. When outside, you will want to know the exact path through the mining area to get through with time remaining. You can shoot all the blue hourglasses from the starting position to ensure you don't miss any. During the second encounter with the Dhurlga, you can skip it entirely by just carrying the power source to the destination and legging it.

  • Clear Episode Three in Invisible Mode.

Invisible Mode will become available after clearing Episode Three, and must be purchased for 1000 BP in the "Extras" menu before you can play it.

You should save this run after you have completed the other modes, as you need to know the episode very well so you can more or less know which enemies are going to be where. Ammunition is scarce in this mode as well, so make sure you only fire when you know you are going to hit an enemy. Don't just start shooting in the hope something is there.

During Claire's campaign, use Moira through the first building so as not to run into Afflicted whilst getting the eye, and try take them out one by one so that they don't overwhelm you while going for the liver part. When you enter the slaughterhouse, you can skip the first Vulcanblubber by sneaking past it as it paths into the room in the back. Just make sure to either use Claire or avoid spotting it with Moira, otherwise Claire AI will attack it. With the key, you can skip the spawns in the slaughterhouse to get the other liver part, then leave. When escaping the slaughterhouse, be wary of the 3 Sploders in the first corridor on the stairs, you'll want to kill them before you continue through past the Ironhead. Killing Neil at the end can be very annoying due to the fact he can be quite hard to keep track of, not to mention the fact he tends to attack the AI instead of you. Keep leading him into the explosives and resulting fires, and you should be able to kill him in 3-4 cycles of his weakspot.

For Barry's campaign, dealing with the Rotters is simple as you can either just skip them or take them out with the assistance of Natalia. Glasps pose no new threat either, as they were invisible anyway. The only part of Barry's campaign that may pose any issues is the fight with the Dhurlga; just try and keep him visible with Natalia and use everything in your arsenal to defeat it.

  • Get all medals in Episode Three.

    Episode 3 ~ Claire's Campaign

    • Knocked down an enemy 5 times by blinding them with the light, then hitting them with a physical attack.
      • Change to Moira and shine your light at an Afflicted with until they're stunned, then change back to Claire and attack them with when the context button appears. Repeat 5 times. Both actions must be done by the player, and cannot be done against the same enemy.
    • Escaped the factory with only 1 minute left.
      • This is a lot easier than it looks, and you will more than likely finish with 2+ minutes left. Just navigate the factory and turn the sluices to let each other pass through. At the end, have Moira climb over the top to see which door is the right one for Claire to open. While the description says "1 minute left", any time above 1 minute will unlock the medal.
    • Stunned 20 enemies with Moira's light.
      • Simply stun 20 different enemies with Moira's light by holding .
    • Defeated 10 enemies with sub-weapons.
      • Build as many offensive sub weapons as you can, and don't waste any on smoke bombs. There are lots of parts to build offensive sub weapons, so this shouldn't be too difficult. Best place to use a couple is when you get the second liver piece ans you are running back through the slaughter house, throw an explosive bottle at the enemies coming down the stairs. That will add 5 to the total if you killed them all. The rest, just use on groups.
    • Defeated 3 enemies using the stealth attack.
      • In the very first building you enter, run into it and wake the enemies up who are on the floor. You now want to leave the whole building so you are back outside. Go back in, and they will be walking around the corridors and can be stealth attacked. If you get spotted, simply head outside again.
    • Defeated 8 enemies with a headshot.
      • Aim for the head; it's Survival Horror 101.
    • Created 5 sub-weapons by combining items.
      • Throughout the level you will find empty bottles, gun powder, alcohol etc. You use this to build sub weapons. Simply craft any 3 sub weapons for this medal. These consist of: Fire bottles, Explosive Bottles and Decoy Bottles.
    • Created 5 recovery items by combing items.
      • Create 5 healing items for this medal. You use green herbs, red herbs, cloth and alcohol to make these. There is enough resources in the level to create five; just be on the lookout for the aforementioned items. Also when you craft a recovery item it will give you 3 items, this does not mean you get 3 towards the medal. You need to make 5 things still.
    • Opened 4 military boxes.
      • You should know by now what these are, and you need to open 4 of them. There is 7 in the whole level so you shouldn't have any difficulty finding 4 to open up. Most of them are in plain view; just remember to look out for them.
    • Found 7 hidden items with Moira.
      • Use Moira's flashlight to shine on glowing spots. These spots will only be visible with Moira.

    Episode 3 ~ Barry's Campaign

    • Defeated 3 Revenant by only hitting their weak spots.
    • Cleared the episode without destroying any of the Dhurlga tentacles.
      • The Uroboros enemy that you encounter where you get the power box, is the Dhurlga. It has 5 tentacles: 2 left, 2 right, 1 middle. The middle can't be destroyed. Just keep shooting the yellow weakspot and not the tentacles. During the second encounter, be careful of the Revenant that throws stuff as it can hit the Dhurlga and destroy one of it's tentacles.
    • Defeated 3 enemies with a follow-up attack.
      • As this level has Rotters in it, this is fairly easy compared to the last episode. Simply stun a Rotter by either shooting it in the head with a weak weapon, or hitting it with your knife. Once stunned press to knock it over and then perform a follow up with your knife by pressing .
    • Defeated 10 enemies with sub-weapons.
      • There are multiple opportunities to make sub weapons in this episode. Try to use as many as you can while you are in the sewers as it is easier to get multi-kills. Once outside, there are only Revenant enemies and they aren't grouped together.
    • Defeated 4 enemies using the stealth attack.
      • You cannot perform stealth attacks on Rotters for whatever reason, so you need to do this on the Revenants outside. There are 6 of them, and all of them can be stealth killed.
    • Defeated 10 enemies with the knife.
      • Kill the weaker enemies in the sewers with your knife. Spiders do not count for this medal!
    • Opened 3 gimmick boxes.
      • Yellow boxes that only Natalia can open. They open the same way as Moira's military boxes. There is more than 3 in the chapter, just be on the lookout for them.
    • Found 5 hidden items with Natalia.
      • Same as with Moira, but you have to point at them. These spots will only be visible for Natalia.
    • Cleared the sewage treatment plant with Natalia taking no damage.
      • Self explanatory. When Natalia is turning the sluices, make sure that none of the Rotters hit her. These enemies are slow, so you can easily shoot them as Barry.
  • Clear Episode Four.

Episode 4 consists of 2 sub episodes; one for Claire and one for Barry. For this trophy, you just need to complete both of these and the trophy will unlock after the credits. Your ending does not matter; good or bad, you will still get the trophy.

  • Clear Episode Four in Countdown Mode.

Countdown Mode will become available after clearing Episode Four, and must be purchased for 1000 BP in the "Extras" menu before you can play it.

For Claire's campaign, the only enemies in the mission are Glasps, and for Barry's campaign it's a mixture of Rotters, Revenants and an end boss.

For Claire's campaign, you can just play it as you usually would. This mission is very short and you are timed even when you are playing in the main campaign so Countdown doesn't make too much of a difference. Try to kill the Glasps if you can, as these give you +20 seconds of time. Just keep on descending down the monument and you should have no trouble beating the mission within the time limit.

For Barry's campaign, you just want to run past most enemies. There are lots of Rotters bunched together in this mission though so if you have any sub-weapons it might be worth using them on groups just for that extra bit of time. When in the mines, just run past everything as Natalia. The Rotters and Revenants will hardly touch her and you won't have to worry about choking on the gas either. Once you reach Alex, just use everything you have on her to kill her quickly. Sub-weapons work well and so does the magnum. Her weak spot is the gap between her head and her torso that appears once you injure her so much.

If you're on the Good Ending you will have to fight the boss twice, but you will gain 300 seconds after the first fight so there should be no concerns.

  • Clear Episode Four in Invisible Mode.

Invisible Mode will become available after clearing Episode Four, and must be purchased for 1000 BP in the "Extras" menu before you can play it.

You should save this run after you have completed the other modes, as you need to know the episode very well so you can more or less know which enemies are going to be where. Ammunition is scarce in this mode as well, so make sure you only fire when you know you are going to hit an enemy. Don't just start shooting in the hope something is there. However, there is quite a fair bit of ammo in Barry's campaign compared to the previous invisible modes.

For Claire's campaign, the only enemy you will be facing are Glasps. The jump about a lot so it is a real pain to actually shoot them accurately. However, the hallways are fairly narrow so if you use the shotgun you will hit them easy enough. You can also use smokescreen bottles and if a Glasp is in the smoke it will be revealed and it will not attempt to eat you either. So you can just go up to it and knife it.

For Barry's campaign, things get a little harder. You can run past most enemies except for the fight at the end and the Alex boss fight. There are a lot of sub-weapons in this mission, as well as a lot of ammo (because you should be running past all the Rotters). We had about 10 sub-weapons (5 explosive and 5 fire) for the Alex fight and this made things much easier. For the fight beforehand, you want to use a sniper on the Slingers, and the assault rifle for the Revenants. There are two Glasps during this fight as well, make sure to be careful of them. For the actual fight with Alex, just keep running around the room and keep shooting her. Throw all your sub-weapons at her at the very start and this will take most of her health away. Then it's just a case of shooting her for long enough without getting killed by the gas bombs she throws, or from her melee attacks. There's quite a lot of ammunition around the area, plus more when objects are destroyed, if you find yourself running low.

  • Get all medals in Episode Four.

    Episode 4 ~ Claire's Campaign

    • Cleared the episode with a 100% accuracy rate.
      • The only enemies you encounter in this level are Glasps, and they're on narrow paths. You can just use your shotgun to blast them when you know they're close, and on Casual difficulty, you're pretty much guaranteed to hit them. You only have to deal with 2 on Casual as well.
      • If you use the crowbar/knife and hit nothing, it will count as a miss.
    • Defeat 1 Glasp with a knife.
      • For this you will want to weaken a Glasp with your handgun or machine pistol, then just hold to knife constantly as you walk towards them. One slash should defeat a weakened Glasp.
      • Alternatively, you can use a smokescreen bottle, which will not only make the Glasp visible but they won't be able to see you, so you can knife till its dead.
    • Opened 2 military boxes.
      • You should know by now what these are. There are only 2 in this level.
      1. After knocking down the gate, right in front of you.
      2. When you first go outside, drop down the first two ledges and turn around.
    • Cleared the episode with no retries.
      • This shouldn't pose much difficulty, especially on Casual, only a few Glasps to deal with.
    • Defeated 3 Glasps.
      • Very easy, and practically impossible to miss on higher difficulties due to there being more Glasps. Please see What You Can't See Can Kill You for details.
    • Escaped the monument with more than 15 seconds to spare.
      • Once you get outside a timer will start. There is more than enough time, especially on Casual. Right at the end you'll be set to 30 seconds regardless of your timer, so just quickly move to the exit at this point.
    • Killed 5 indigenous animals.
      • There are 5 animals throughout the level: 5 rats and 3 birds.
      1. 2 rats are found after the elevator gets destroyed and you take an alternate route: both are partway down the path after it rises up and then down. Can be hard to see due to the grating they're on.
      2. 3 rats are all found from the workbench to just past the gate you knock down: one in front of the workbench, one before the gate and one after the gate.
      3. 2 birds can be found on a ledge just as you go outside, they will fly away when you jump down. 3rd is on ledge directly below you. Restart checkpoint if they fly away.
    • Found 4 treasures.
      • There are three treasures in Alex's room, hidden in vases. You can get more in military boxes, and in wooden crates. More than enough.
    • Found all of the Tower Emblems.
      • There are only 3 Tower Emblems in Claire's episode. The 7 in Barry's episode are not required.
      1. In the room where you talk to Alex, look to your right. Emblem is on some machines.
      2. As you go outside, drop down one level and look underneath what you jumped off.
      3. After re-entering the monument, halfway down. When you jump across to the broken platform, walk around the right pipe instead of down the left. It's right in front of you.
      • This can glitch and give you the medal without destroying all Emblems.
    • Cleared the episode within 20 minutes.
      • This episode is very short, and even with exploring the area you should be able to get through in about 15 minutes.

    Episode 4 ~ Barry's Campaign

    • Defeated 10 Revenant by only hitting their weak spots.
    • Defeated Alex in the mine sub-level without taking damage.
      • This is the first fight with Alex in both endings, not the Good Ending fight. Make sure you have lots of ammo and sub-weapons on you. This is best done on Casual so she dies faster.
      • Attack her weakspot as you should be accustomed to by now (it is a Resident Evil game after all), and keep your distance/dodge when she gets near.
      • AI getting hit will count, so don't let Natalia get hit.
      • If you get hit, you can restart checkpoint and it won't void the medal.
    • Hit enemies with Natalia's brick 15 times.
      • Bricks will be scattered throughout the chapter and appear as blue glows when playing as Natalia. Pick them up, then throw them at enemies ( + ) or hit them with it (). It doesn't need to kill the enemies, and you can throw multiple bricks at the same enemy.
    • Defeated 5 enemies with a follow-up attack.
      • Easy to do against the Rotters, either knock them on the ground or just stab the crawling Rotters. Plenty of opportunities for this.
    • Defeated 10 enemies with sub-weapons.
      • There are multiple areas in this episode with packs of Rotters, you can actually complete this with only 2 sub-weapons. Whenever you see a pack of Rotters, let them group up before throwing a Firebomb Bottle or Explosive Bottle to take them all out.
    • Defeated 5 enemies using the stealth attack.
      • You cannot perform stealth attacks on Rotters for whatever reason, so you need to do this on the Revenants. You'll need to use Smokescreen Bottles for most of these, as there aren't many you can naturally stealth attack.
      • This is easy inside the mansion; just shoot the canisters holding the Revenants and smoke them as a group, then stealth them.
    • Defeated 10 enemies with the knife.
      • Lots of Rotters for you to knife for this one, should be used to it by now.
    • Opened 3 gimmick boxes.
      • Yellow boxes that only Natalia can open. They open the same way as Moira's military boxes. There are more than 3 in the chapter, just be on the lookout for them.
    • Found 10 hidden items with Natalia.
      • Same as with Moira, but you have to point at them. These spots will only be visible for Natalia.
    • Cleared the level by moving the crane no more than 3 times.
      1. Near the start of the level, you'll have to cross a crane. For the first movement, have Barry stand on the gondola and let Natalia pull Lever #1 to send him over. Climb the ladder as Barry and stand on top of the crane beam.
      2. With Natalia, head to Lever #3, and pull it. Barry will move all the way to the other ladders; drop one for Natalia, then go back on the crane beam.
      3. With Natalia, climb up to Barry and then down the other ladder. Head up to Lever #5 on this side and pull it. Drop the ladder for Natalia.

Secret trophies

  • Escape from the detention center in Claire's Episode One without using the flame-thrower bust.

At the end of Episode 1, Claire's campaign, you will come to a point where you need to use a cog on a door mechanism. Use the cog, then all the prison cells will open up behind you, which releases the Afflicted inside them. What you want to do now is have Moira run straight to the door and use the crowbar on it, switch back to Claire and then just shoot the Afflicted coming through the doorway. DO NOT touch the valve on the right hand side of the room, as this turns the flamethrower on. Once Moira has pulled both planks off the door, go through it and then open the shutter door. The trophy will unlock once you are outside. Here is a visual walkthrough.

  • Defeat Mutant Pedro in Claire's Episode Two.

Part way through Episode 2, Claire's campaign you will have the option to fight Pedro. You want to fight him, and kill him here in order to unlock the trophy. He is fairly easy to kill, but does take a fair amount of bullets. As soon as the fight starts, throw a few sub weapon bottles at him as these do lots of damage. Then, just keep shooting him with the sub machine gun and the shotgun. He will eventually go down and the trophy will unlock. Do note, you can only get the trophy at this part with Claire. If you run away from Pedro and fight him during Barry's campaign instead you will not unlock the trophy.

  • Moira defeats Neil in Claire's Episode Three.

After the fight with Neil, you will head up the elevator and a short cut scene will play out where Neil breaks the elevator door and you both fall out. When Neil falls onto Claire, you want to press when you see the prompt to switch to Moira. Move Moira with the and then grab the gun when close. She will automatically shoot Neil, and the trophy will unlock.

  • Obtain the item that lies beyond the gate in the sewers in Barry's Episode Three.

During Claire's campaign, you can drop a box down while in the sewers and Barry can use it later on in his campaign (See the video below for an exact location of where this box is). There are 3 ways to get this trophy, but for the purpose of the guide we will be showing you one of these ways.

Once you have dropped the box, complete the mission as normal. At the start of Barry's campaign, you are in the sewers. Head down a bit and you will see the box you dropped earlier. Move the box so you can climb up the ledge on the right hand side. Pick up the parts box and the trophy will unlock. The trophy will also unlock if you get the AK-7 behind the first gate Claire can open (behind the waterfall), or by opening the gimmick box behind the second gate Claire can open (next to the Vulcanblubber).

  • Defeat six or more Glasps in the monument in Claire's Episode Four, on Normal difficulty or higher.

Claire's Episode Four is very short, and the only enemies you encounter are Glasps. Even though you can't spot them at all without Natalia, killing them is easy due to the fact you encounter them all on narrow paths. If playing on Normal, there are only six Glasps throughout the full chapter - 2 in area you first run into them, 2 down the ladder immediately after, and 2 in the final area when descending the monument.

There will be more Glasps if playing on Survival, however they also like to move around a lot on Survival, making it difficult to kill them. Therefore it is recommended you simply do this on Normal as opposed to Survival.

  • Complete both routes through the landfill in Barry's Episode Four.

Near the start of Claire's Episode Four, you will enter a room with a bunch of monitors. In the left corner of this room as you enter is a screen with two sluices on it, and a lever in front of it. If you pull this lever, the water flow will change from one sluice to the other. Whichever sluice you close will determine which path Barry will be able to take through the landfill. Play through the Episode twice, shutting a different sluice each time, and the trophy will unlock when Barry drops into the second empty waterway.
