Resident Evil Revelations 2 is the first Resident Evil game to be released episodically. There are four main episodes, along with two extra episodes (though only the main episodes are required for the platinum). You can buy these episodes individually for £4.99/€5.99/AU$8.95/US$5.99, or the Complete Season for £19.99/€24.99/AU$37.95/US$24.99, which also includes two extra episodes, and HUNK for Raid Mode.
Trophy-wise, you'll have to play through each episode at least three times, and it is up to the player how they do this. You can either do them in full playthroughs, or do all the playthroughs for a single episode before moving onto the next. There are only 3 very easy trophies tied to Raid Mode this time, so you won't have to spend hours grinding it unlike the first game.
The game has two endings - a good and a bad ending. For those interested in witnessing both endings, we will explain how to do so at the bottom of the road map. Neither ending is required for trophies, but they are required if you want to get all collectibles or complete all in-game records. The two extra episodes - The Struggle and Little Miss - will also cover some parts of the story previously left unknown, so if you want to experience the full story you will want to see both endings as well as play the extra episodes.

Step 1: Complete the game on any difficulty, collecting as many miscellaneous trophies as you can
Start the game on any difficulty and just enjoy it. Whilst there are collectibles in the game, none are tied to trophies, so you don't have to go out of your way to find any. You may want to work towards miscellaneous trophies on the way, or work towards medals in each chapter, but this is up to the individual player. Please see respective trophies for details.
When in Episode Three, the way you defeat Claire's boss will determine which ending you get at the end of Episode Four. The endings are not related to trophies at all, however. Please see the end of the road map for details.
Upon completing Step 1, you will earn:
Three Women and a Barry (Episode One)
Scared to Death (Episode Two)
Conquered Fear (Episode Three)
True or False (Episode Four)
Step 2: Complete the game on Countdown Mode
After completing an episode on any difficulty, you'll unlock Countdown Mode (after purchasing it for 1000 BP). Countdown Mode is a time attack mode with a preset difficulty where time is rewarded from killing enemies and grabbing hourglasses, so you have to be efficient and know your way around to do this.
Below are several tips that apply to all chapters and episodes, whereas each individual trophy will have tips that apply to the particular episode:
- Skip unnecessary encounters, as you'll simply waste time by doing so, unless they grant large time bonuses.
- Learn the layout of the individual chapters, so you can progress through as quickly as possible.
- Take the shortest routes possible.
Upon completing Step 2, you will earn:
"Less Talking, More Walking" (Episode One)
"Run, Moira. Run!" (Episode Two)
Pedal to the Metal (Episode Three)
"You are Authorized to Panic" (Episode Four)
Step 3: Complete the game on Invisible Mode
After completing an episode on any difficulty, you'll unlock Invisible Mode (after purchasing it for 1000 BP). Invisible Mode is essentially Survival difficulty, with the added stipulation that all enemies will be invisible. You will be able to see them for a few seconds when using Moira's flashlight or Natalia's point. You'll want to be well versed in the game before doing this, as knowing where the enemies are is half the battle.
It is highly recommended that you level up certain skills for Invisible Mode, as they will make things like dodging, Moira's flashlight/crowbar and Natalia's awareness much more useful:
- Evade - dodge effectiveness
- Crouch Advantage - temporary invincibility when crouching
- Evade Extension - dodge distance
- Evade Recovery - dodge recovery time
- Evade Cancel - cancel any attack with a dodge
- Unholstered - Claire/Barry use guns as AI
- Batter Up - crowbar damage
- Light is Might - flashlight effectiveness
- Laying Bricks - brick damage
- Sixth Sense - Natalia awareness effectiveness
Below are several tips that apply to all chapters and episodes, whereas each individual trophy will have tips that apply to the particular episode:
- Abuse Moira's flashlight and Natalia's point to know where your enemies are.
- Decoy and Smoke Bottles are very handy when overwhelmed, as they can distract and incapacitate groups of enemies.
- Skip as many encounters as you can, no need to fight every enemy.
- Feel free to use all your ammunition and items in a single chapter, as your inventory is predetermined for every chapter.
Upon completing Step 3, you will earn:
"Not Even Close to Easy"(Episode One)
"That's Gonna Be Fun" (Episode Two)
I Can See Undead People (Episode Three)
"There's Something in Here" (Episode Four)
Step 4: Complete Episode 1 with Knife only, Medals and Clean Up
The only thing left to do is complete Episode 1 using only your Knife, collecting all medals and miscellaneous trophies, as well as the three Raid Mode trophies. These can all be done at any point in your journey to platinum; you don't have to leave them until last. See respective trophies for details.
Upon completing Step 4, you will earn:
Episode One:
Only Good Guys Win Medals
Who Needs Fire?
Cutting Edge
Episode Two:
There's a Medal for That
Pedro, I'm Sorry...
"I Do Not Like Glasps," I Gasped
Episode Three:
Sweet, Golden Medal
A Ripple in Time
Here's My Resignation
Episode Four:
I'm Not Leaving Without My Medal
What You Can't See Can Kill You
Routes of Future Past
Episodes One - Four:
Bounty Hunter
Cure for the Afflicted
Revenant Reaper
Knifin' Around
Fudge Them Up!
And STAY Down
From the Shadows
Flashlight Duty
I Can Do Blunt Weapons
Brick Layer
Line 'Em Up!
Disarmed
Unfriendly Skies
Now That's Teamwork!
Friend Indeed
Fish in a Barrel
Raiders of the Evil
Jammin'
I Saw, I Conquered
Which will ultimately unlock:
The Never-Ending Nightmare
A Note On The Endings:
There are two endings in the game - a good ending and a bad ending. These endings are not required for any of the trophies, but the good ending is required if you decide to go for all collectibles and records. Which ending you get is determined by how you defeat the boss in Claire's Episode Three. One way will grant you the bad ending, while the other will grant you the good ending.
Spoiler:
If you kill Mutant Neil with Moira (see Here's My Resignation), you will be locked into the Good Ending. If, however, you kill him as Claire, you will be locked into the Bad Ending. In order to change which ending you get, you can simply replay Claire's Episode Three to change the outcome.
