Introduction:
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is a third person shooter that takes place during the events of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Your objective is to retrieve the G-Virus Sample and bring the chaos of Raccoon City's viral zombie outbreak under control. Trophy wise, the list is very solid and straightforward. Most of trophies are either Campaign Mode or Versus Mode related. There are some combat related trophies that you'll unlock naturally while playing. The lifetime trophies are cumulative trophies from both the Campaign and Versus Modes. The best thing about this game is that it features Drop In/Drop Out co-op play, so all the offline trophies can be obtained online with a partner(s). All online Versus Mode trophies must be done online. One last thing, is that Capcom is encouraging players to boost their own game. So don't be shy to use the boosting thread to get your 100%.
Walkthrough:
Step 1: Enjoy the Campaign Mode - Casual/Normal Difficulty (optional)
First of all, this step is completely optional and not necessary for the platinum; however, I strongly recommend that you complete the Campaign Mode on either Casual/Normal difficulties. By doing this step you'll learn the basics of the gameplay and will gain some experience points (XP) which are required to unlock and upgrade abilities. While playing through the Campaign you should play as different characters to see which class you prefer to play as. If you choose to do this step I also suggest that you collect all 7 Raccoons Mascots for the Raccoon City Mascot trophy that are hidden in the seven Campaign Mode missions. Please refer to the trophy guide for more information about their hidden locations. Campaign Mode can be played offline with AI partners or in online co-op mode with up to four players. It consists of seven missions and is fairly short. You should complete the game in about 3-5 hours on the first run. By the end of this step, you'll have almost all story related trophies and a few lifetime trophies. Since you've beaten the game you'll be better prepared for your professional playthrough in Step 2.
Step 2: Campaign Mode with Free Play – Professional Difficulty
This is the second step if you've chosen to enjoy the game for your first playthrough. If not, you'll be at a bad starting position when you start the game on Professional difficulty for the first time. Why? It’s because you’ll be Rank level 1 with no abilities unlocked yet or a decent weapon you've purchased. You'll have problems at certain sessions of the game for not being familiar with it, which is why Step 1 prepared you for Professional difficulty.
In Professional difficulty, enemies will receive 50% less damage, but will inflict twice as much damage and drop items rarely compared to other difficultly settings. One thing worth mentioning again is that the difficulty trophies stack, so completing a mission on Professional difficulty will unlock that mission in all lower difficulty settings in the Free Play Mode screen. For example, completing "Containment" on Professional difficulty will unlock "Corruption" along with all difficulties, but completing it on Casual will only unlock "Corruption" in Casual only and not Normal/Veteran/Professional difficulty. To keep track of which missions you've completed on Professional. You can go into "Records" at the main screen and scroll over to the "Campaign" tab to view the missions you've cleared with their highest difficulty.
This step isn't difficult for the first time around, but I do recommend that you get a partner or a group of friends to play along with you. Why? Well if you played Resident Evil 5, then you can take a strong guess that the AI partners are dumb. They are completely useless as they can't revive you, heal you when needed at critical moment, kill enemies quickly enough, walk in the way of your gun fire to get themselves headshot, and they do nothing but die or get infected. They sometimes steal first aid sprays before you can pick it up. As mentioned before, you should be familiarized with the Campaign missions with good abilities fully upgraded and should have a decent weapon by now. This is all pretty basic stuff and you should be communicating with your partners, working together; revive fallen teammates, sharing herbs and ammo etc. The best thing about the missions is that some sections of the missions are possible for you and your partners to simply run past everything to the checkpoint. When you make it towards a checkpoint the game will auto save and respawn you back at the same checkpoint you've made it to if you're entire team is killed. If you need a Professional difficulty partner then please refer to the Trophy Boosting Thread. Remember, you can choose to do this step solo if you wish as going online makes if more difficult depending on how many human partners are in the game session.
Step 3: Gaining S+ on all U.S.S. Missions with Free Play – Professional Difficulty
In this third step, your primary objective will be to achieve a S+ on all seven Campaign Mode missions for the Great Success trophy. This is the hardest step to achieving your platinum trophy because Veteran and Professional difficulty are the only way to unlock a letter grade of S and S+ rank after completing a mission. It's also recommend that you use Spectre and Lupo to go for S+ rankings. They're two of the best characters due to their Class Abilities.
The ranking system is based on the following four criteria:
- Number of kills
- Number of player deaths
- Number of items collected
- Time it took you to clear the mission
Those four grades receive a letter grade after they're averaged to determine your overall letter grade. Each mission has a different ranking criteria, so please refer to the S+ - The Complete Walkthrough to Great Success to get a better understanding on the numbers you must achieve. It's also a FAQ and Enemies Intel Guide that includes a breakdown of all 7 Campaign Mode missions in order to help you achieve an S+ ranking. The last few things I'll mention is that Veteran is the hardest difficulty to achieve the S+ rank on compared to Professional difficulty. It is possible to achieve the S+ on Veteran, but you have to do extremely well for that S+ rank to appear in the mission complete screen. I personally never got an S+ on Veteran even after I got [S, S, S, S] and still received a letter grade of S. Professional difficulty is much more forgiving as I got grades such as [S, A, S, A] or [S, S, S, A] and letter grade received was S+. You can try to get the S+ rank on Veteran if you wish to, but Professional is the way to go. Remember, it doesn’t matter if you got an S+ rank on Veteran and the remaining S+ ranks on Professional. Last of all, Free Play Mode will count towards the S+ ranks. Please refer to the trophy guide for more information.
Step 4: Versus Mode
This is the fourth step and you can either do this legitimately or by boosting. Versus Mode can be played online with invited friends in Private matches or with other random players in Public matches.
Versus Mode features the following four match types:
- Team Attack
- Biohazard
- Heroes
- Survivors
Each match type mode is all team-based and requires teamwork. The unique thing about Versus Mode is that you can choose to play as the U.S.S. Delta Team from the Campaign Mode, or Spec Ops Team characters, or famous characters from the Resident Evil universe, such as Leon S. Kennedy or Claire Redfield.
There are a total of 11 online trophies, but to save some time with this, I highly recommend that you boost them all. Capcom isn't known for creativity when it comes to trophies because some of their trophies usually require "skill". Thankfully, you can boost all the online trophies in Private matches as long as you have over 2-5+ serious boosters. If you need boosting partners, then please refer to the Trophy Boosting Thread. Remember, if you do the online trophies legit, then you'll be increasing the time it takes to platinum this game. Boosting reduces the estimated time amount and it's quick. Please refer to the trophy guide for more information as well as information on how to boost the Versus Mode trophies.
Step 5: Clean Up
In this final step for obtaining your platinum, you'll mop up all the combat related, miscellaneous trophies and Versus Mode trophies. The combat trophies are all the trophies that requires to you farm kills etc. The miscellaneous trophies are all the trophies that involve purchasing all the weapons and abilities in the game. As mentioned before, all lifetime trophies are cumulative from both the Campaign and Versus Modes. It doesn't matter if you do them either offline or online. Versus Mode as mentioned before can be boosted in Private matches as long as you have 2-5+ serious boosters. The most time consuming thing left for you might be purchasing all the weapons and the abilities in the game. Thankfully, there is an easy way to buy all the items without the game remembering you purchased them for the trophy to unlock. It takes over 252,250+ XP to purchase all the abilities in the game and one of your characters or two might already be fully upgraded. So try to save about 215,000+ XP on you and then purchase all the abilities in the game at the same time (character select). When you purchased the last ability upgrade for your trophy and it unlocks, press and [hold] button and quit the game while you're still at the character select screen. Doing this will stop the game from saving and when you restart the game over again, you'll have the same amount of XP you had before buying all your abilities. Now you can use the XP over again to purchase every weapon in the game, which cost 214,000 XP. After this step is over you'll finally have a shiny new platinum in your collection.

Introduction:
On April 10th, 2012 Slant Six released the first mission in Spec Ops DLC Campaign for free. On April 17, 2012 they released the next batch of missions from 2 through 4 in this Echo Six Expansion Pack 1 DLC. Even though these missions aren't free at the price tag of $9.99, they're a ton of fun and well worth the price; however, any bugs or glitches that you experienced from the main Campaign will still be found in this DLC. I personally didn't have any issues with this game's Campaign, but do note that the AI is still dumb.
This Spec Ops DLC Campaign picks up after you helped Jill Valentine from the first mission, "Eye of the Storm", with the new objective being to head to City Hall in your search of Umbrella's Secret Laboratory. Along the way, you'll revisit old locations from the main game's Campaign, but will also travel through new locations that weren't previously accessible. Remember that this game features Drop In/Drop Out Co-Op play, so all the offline trophies can be obtained online with a partner(s). The online Versus Mode trophy must be done online only and it's a trophy you can't do legitimately as the players need to have this DLC Pack, so once again don't be shy to use the boosting thread to get your 100%.
Before I continue with the Echo Six Expansion Pack 1's Trophy Guide, I would like to mention that this guide was written along with Echo Six Expansion Pack 2. This means that certain trophies from Pack 2 can be done while focusing on this DLC.
Walkthrough:
To access the Spec Ops DLC's, do the following:
- At the Main Menu screen select Campaign
- Scroll down to Free Play
- Select either Public or Private
- Select Government Special Ops at the Team Selection screen
Step 1: Enjoy the Campaign Mode - Casual/Normal Difficulty (optional)
This step is self-explanatory. You've just gotten the DLC, so simply enjoy it and have fun without the thought of going for the trophies. Each mission is short and can be completed in about 20-35 minutes each. You'll unlock the three story related trophies naturally. While playing though, be sure to complete an Echo Six Expansion Pack mission with the three female characters in your party so you can get another easy trophy out of your way just by simply playing.
Step 2: Campaign Mode with Free Play – Casual Difficulty (Clean Up)
This will be your clean up step where you'll be getting all the Expansion Pack 1 Campaign trophies. Below is a flowchart that you can follow to get all the Campaign trophies:
Echo Six Expansion Pack 1 Trophy Unlock Flowchart:
Happy Trails - Complete "By the Trail of Our Dead"
Let Lounging Lickers Lie - Do not wake up Lickers in the Atrium encounter in By the Trail of Our Dead
Who needs guns? - Complete an Echo Six Expansion mission without killing anything with a gun
Hot Pants - Complete "I Now Know Why You Cry"
Leave no Dead Man Behind - Kill every zombie in the Park before leaving
Boom Worse than Bite - 13 Bomb Dogs Detonated
Ticket to the Gun Show - As Tweed, use C4 to open door in Foundry
Oh Yeah!!! - Complete "Nothing is as it Seems"
Ladies Night - Beat an Echo Six Expansion Pack mission with the 3 female characters in your party
Follow this flowchart and you'll have no issues. The Who Needs Guns? trophy can really be obtained anywhere, but especially in Missions 2 and 3. However, there's a super easy cheap method that you can do to get the trophy even if you killed things with a gun. The cheap method can only be done in Co-Op mode, so play all the way to the end of the "By the Trail of Our Dead" mission, but don't complete it. When ready, you should press the button and then "Exit Game" to return back to the main menu. Now your co-op partner who is the host will invite you back into the game. Once you join back into the game, proceed to compete the mission. Your trophy will unlock at the Mission Complete screen. The reason this method works is because when you play online with others and "Exit Game," all of your unsaved data will be lost, so when you see your Mission Complete results, you'll notice that your number of kills and even deaths are zeroes. For more information about any of the other Campaign related trophies, please refer to the trophy guide section.
Step 3: Foundry Versus Match - Heroes
This is the third step and you can either do this legitimately or by boosting. Versus Mode can be played online with invited friends in Private matches or with other random players in Public matches; however, those randoms will all need to have the Echo Six Expansion Pack 1 DLC. Chances are you won't be doing the Burning Inside trophy legitimately. Not to mention that the maps are random in Public matches. Save your time and boost this in a Heroes Versus Mode Match on the new map called "Foundry". Once you killed your boosting partner with the Crucible, the match will end and you'll unlock the trophy at the winning results screen. If you need boosting partners, then please refer to the Trophy Boosting Thread. Remember, to seek a boosting partner who has the DLC pack(s) that you're currently boosting.

On April 17, 2012 they released the next batch of missions from 2 through 4 in Echo Six Expansion Pack 1 DLC. On May 15, 2012 they released the final missions concludes the events of Echo Six’s side of the story of Raccoon City. Again, these missions aren't free at the price tag of $9.99, but they're still a ton of fun and well worth the price.
This Spec Ops DLC Campaign is a continuation of Echo Six Expansion Pack 1, so the story picks up where it last left off with the Echo Six escorting Sherry Birkin and then defeating G-Birkin on their way to Umbrella’s B.O.W Labs. Along the way, you'll revisit a few old locations from the main game's Campaign, but will also travel through new locations that weren't previously accessible. Before I continue with the Echo Six Expansion Pack 2's Trophy Guide, I would like to mention that this guide was written before Patch 1.03. Capcom has now released Patch 1.03, which makes the following changes:
- Improved matching. Easier to connect and added each user's NAT info to main menu for easier troubleshooting.
- Matchmaking from invites improved.
- Ally AI improved.
- Enemy AI and responses improved.
- Adjusted various elements of weaponry, including ammo count, knockdown distance, weapon respawn times etc.
- Improved aiming/fire accuracy.
- Items can be picked up while dashing.
- Infinite CQC combo addressed (can't string together endless attacks.)
- Players can take cover immediately following a dive.
- Also a fair number of bugs addressed.
Walkthrough:
To access the Spec Ops DLC's, do the following:
- At the Main Menu screen, select Campaign
- Scroll down to Free Play
- Select either Public or Private
- Select Government Special Ops at the Team Selection screen
Step 1: Enjoy the Campaign Mode - Casual/Normal Difficulty (optional)
This step is self-explanatory. You've just gotten the DLC, so simply enjoy it and have fun without the thought of going for the trophies. Each mission is short and can be completed in about 20-35 minutes each. You'll unlock the three story related trophies naturally. While playing though, be sure to complete an Echo Six Expansion Pack mission with the three male characters in your party so you can get another easy trophy out of your way just by simply playing.
Step 2: Campaign Mode with Free Play – Casual Difficulty (Clean Up)
This will be your clean up step where you'll be getting all the Expansion Pack 2 Campaign trophies. Now in the first Expansion Pack trophy guide, I had mentioned that certain trophies can be completed right along with the first DLC trophies. If you were doing some of these along the way, then you'll have almost half of them done. So below is a quick briefing where you can get the trophies:
Rocket Socket - Kill 5 enemies with Rocket Launcher
- Can be done in the "I Now Know Why You Cry" level; it's found in the foundry or you can do this in the new versus map.
Tyranical - 5 Tyrants Slain
- Done anywhere just by killing one Tyrant (the kills carry over)
Turrets Syndrome - Shut Down or Destroy 5 Turrets
- Story related. You'll destroy turrets to advance the storyline of Expansion Pack 2, so don't worry about this one.
Boys Club - Beat an Echo Six Expansion Pack mission with the 3 male characters in your party.
- Can be done on any mission with all three males in your party.
Supernaut - 3 Super Tyrants Slain
- Best to farm this one. It can only be done on "The Places We're Meant to Die"
Divided We Fall - Complete an Echo Six Expansion mission with no human player incapcitated from death or infection.
- Can be done anywhere as long as you never died or got infected and did this solo.
A quick recap before moving on, you'll get the three story related trophies just by playing along with the 5 turrets destroyed and 5 tyrants slain. The turrets are story related because you'll destroy 5 of them to advance the storyline. The 5 tyrants killed are also considered story related since you'll end up killing them anyway. It should also be noted that all of the kills from your previous playthroughs all carry over into subsequent playthroughs. In other words, you'll already have killed 5 tyrants, so just killing one more on another playthrough will unlock the trophy. I did mention that the Rocket Launcher can be done on the mission with the Foundry Door (the one where you used the C4 to get into); however, just ignore it and do it while boosting the online trophy Delivery Specialist. That new versus mode map has a Rocket Launcher on it anyway, so don't waste time doing the Foundry method. If not done yet already, be sure to complete a mission with the three males in your party. If you're struggling on completing an Echo Six Expansion mission with no human player incapcitated from death or infection trophy, then try doing it on the "By the Trail of Our Dead" mission (Expansion Pack 1). It's fairly short, contains no bosses and ends when you interact with the last Intel document.
Step 3: Dispatch Versus Match - Biohazard Mode
This is the third step and you can either do this legitimately or by boosting. Versus Mode can be played online with invited friends in Private matches or with other random players in Public matches; however, those randoms will all need to have the Echo Six Expansion Pack 2 DLC. Chances are you won't be doing the Delivery Specialist trophy legitimately. Not to mention that the maps are random in Public matches. Save your time and boost this in a Dispatch's Biohazard Mode Match. Once you delivered all 5 virus samples for your team, the match will end and you'll unlock the trophy at the winning results screen. Also, if you're looking to boosting the 5 enemies killed with Rocket Launcher for the Rocket Socket trophy, please note that this is the only map that you'll be able to do it on in Versus Mode. If you need boosting partners, then please refer to the Trophy Boosting Thread. Remember, to seek a boosting partner who has the DLC pack(s) that you're currently boosting.
