EXTRAS: For a complete text and video walkthrough for all puzzles in Chapters 1 through 3, please see my Reflection of Mine – All Puzzle Solutions Guide.

Reflection of Mine is, well... a very odd indie game to say the least. Developed by Redblack Spade and published by Ratalaika Games, it's a 2D, top-down, strategy puzzle game where your primary goal is to get your character through a maze but of course, that's easier said than done.

You control a young girl named Lily Witchgan, a girl who you quickly come to realize is definitely not okay. There's something seriously wrong with her. As it turns out, she has what they think is Multiple Personality Disorder so in reality you're basically battling yourself in your own mind! After a brief intro, you realize that your goal isn't to save someone or be a hero but instead to murder the other personalities. Whether you have to die too is not quite clear but you've got Death to guide you through the game and the muddy waters of death itself.

Throughout the game, in between some levels, you'll be briefly put into a memory where you interact with others and learn more and more about your other alters, your quest, and of course, your memories. (Note: These memories, similar to an interactive cutscene, are not part of the levels so don't worry about steps).

  • Thanks to new-stirum94 for some of the puzzle solutions I used here.

Note: Although the game offers 4 Chapters, the 4th is wholly optional and is not required for the Platinum.

Contrary to what most people think of Ratalaika's games, Reflection of Mine is actually quite challenging. Frankly, if you were to attempt a Neuroses-level playthrough without a walkthrough of some kind, you could spend hours upon days trying to figure the steps out. Even on lower difficulty levels and without the necessity of counting steps, the game is still not a breeze and many of the puzzles will still take you some time to decipher.

Using a splitscreen, you will control two personalities at once so every move you take will be replicated on the other side as well but no two sides are ever the same. Each side will have its own obstacles in completely different places so you definitely need to watch both sides every time you make a move. You'll need to navigate mazes of obstacles etc. on each side to bring both girls to their respective end point together. What sounds simple can definitely become anything but as the difficulty increases with every Chapter and every level.

Tip: I recommend using the d-pad rather than the joystick as sometimes the game can be a little glitchy and not recognize the movement. Additionally, using the d-pad is cleaner in this case, which is very important for the step count on the higher difficulty.

Step 1 — Complete Chapters 1-3, retrieve their keys and complete the secret levels in each

In terms of choosing your difficulty level, I recommend playing on Hysteria rather than Phobia as I'm not 100% certain that you can complete the Platinum on Phobia. When selecting Phobia, it says in-game that the "Game cannot be completed on 100%". Although you won't actually complete the game as you'll be skipping Chapter 4, I'm not certain at what point Phobia ends. Neuroses doesn't unlock until you've completed the game on a lower difficulty level so that leaves you with Hysteria.

Whether you want to do this blindly or with a complete walkthrough [LINK] is entirely up to you. There are no missable trophies and the fact that you can complete them on any difficulty means that you are in complete control of your Platinum experience; whether you want a real challenge or a quick Platinum is wholly your decision.

For Chapters 1 through 3, you will need to do each one's 12 main levels and 4 key levels. You'll also need to do the secret mission in Chapters 2 and 3 which you can reach by clicking on the ? icon on the bottom right once you've got all 4 keys. Although you do still need Chapter 1's keys for the Forest researcher trophy, its secret mission is not required for any trophy so feel free to skip that one.

Note: Every Chapter has their own mechanics and obstacles. In most cases, these mechanics are only used in their Chapters and do not carry over to the next one.

By the end of this step, you will have earned:

Ready to suffer
Smart one
Brave one
Forest researcher
Forest one
Burned one
Cleaner
Ugly one
Saint One
The Priest
Atheist
Platinum Reflection

12 trophies ( 11  )

  • Get all other trophies.

Complete Chapters 1-3 and the secret levels, then you'll get a shiny, albeit slightly terrifying, new Platinum! Congrats!

For a complete text and video walkthrough for all puzzles in Chapters 1 through 3, please see my Reflection of Mine – All Puzzle Solutions Guide.
  • End tutorial.

When you first begin the game, the first level you'll do is Level 1 in The Forest. During this stage, the game will give you a basic tutorial. Once the tutorial is done, about half-way through the level, this trophy will pop.

Note: Although you access it by going through Level 1, that section does not actually count towards Level 1. Once the tutorial section is over, then Level 1 proper will begin so the steps I've outlined in the Solutions Guide [LINK] for Level 1 is only for after the tutorial.
  • Beat first difficult stage.

This trophy will pop after you've completed Chapter 1: The Forest - Level 5. See my Solutions Guide [LINK] for a full walkthrough.
  • Defeat first boss.

The "boss"-related trophies are very deceptive. There is no such thing as a boss. You will earn this trophy once you have completed all 12 levels in Chapter 1: The Forest. See my Solutions Guide [LINK] for a full walkthrough.

    Chapter 1 Mechanics:

In this Chapter, these are the following mechanics that you'll be using and/or will learn via the memories in between levels:
    1. Starting from Level 6, you'll be introduced to spring traps. When Lily steps on one, it will trigger the trap for the corresponding trap over on Emily's side and vice versa.

    2. Starting from Level 9, there will now be enemies (owls and two-headed dogs) roaming in a set pattern in the map. There will be many moments where you'll have to make your steps very fast & run past them quickly, because if one touches you, you're dead.
  • Find all the keys in the forest.

Once you complete all of the Forest's 12 main levels, you will then be asked by Death to retrieve 4 keys hidden in previous levels. You'll need to redo Levels 3, 5, 7 and 11 and locate the keys there. Once you've found the fourth, the trophy will pop.
  • Destroy the Forest one.

Unlike the next few trophies similar to this one (i.e. Ugly one and Saint one), this one is given to you upon the completion of Chapter 1: The Forest. You don't need to do the Forest's secret level(s) for this trophy.
  • Defeat second boss.

The "boss"-related trophies are very deceptive. There is no such thing as a boss. You will earn this trophy once you have completed all 12 levels in Chapter 2: The Hotel. See my Solutions Guide [LINK] for a full walkthrough.

    Chapter 2 Mechanics:

In this Chapter, there is one new mechanic that you'll learn via the memories in between levels:
    1. In the Hotel Chapter, you'll be mainly focusing on Lizzy (blue-haired) and Emily, the dark version you already know. However, after you complete Level 5, a third personality will be introduced, forcing you to control all 3 in each level but that's not all; unlike the norm, instead of taking the 3rd one to the end with the other 2, you'll instead have to take her to Lester (the man with red eyes) to kill her prior to reaching the end of the level with Lizzy & Emily.
  • Find all the keys in the hotel.

Once you complete all of the Hotel's 12 main levels, you will then be asked by Death to retrieve 4 keys hidden in previous levels. You'll need to re-do Levels 3, 5, 9 and 11 and locate the keys there. Once you've found the fourth one, the trophy will pop.
  • Destroy the Ugly one.

Once you've found all 4 keys in the Hotel section, you are then given access to this Chapter's secret mission, which you can access by clicking the ? icon on the bottom right. The trophy will pop once you've finished the 2 secret levels and the final cutscene.
  • Defeat third boss.

The "boss"-related trophies are very deceptive. There is no such thing as a boss. You will earn this trophy once you have completed all 12 levels in Chapter 3: The Church. See my Solutions Guide [LINK] for a full walkthrough.

    Chapter 3 Mechanics:

In this Chapter, there are two new mechanics that you'll learn via the memories in between levels:
    1. At the beginning, you'll learn how to take crosses and throw them at broken golden pillars which repairs them. Later on however, when you're controlling the demon rather than the nun, you'll use those crosses to destroy those pillars with the exact same mechanic.

Walk over a cross to pick it up, then position yourself so that the pillar in question is somewhere along the straight line you're on, then press to throw the cross.

    2. During the Memory between levels 5 and 6, the new mechanic that you'll be introduced to is teleporting using same color runes. This short demonstration is very easy: Yellow > Green > Purple > Blue > Red.
  • Find all the keys in the church.

Once you complete all of the Church's 12 main levels, you will then be asked by Death to retrieve 4 keys hidden in previous levels. You'll need to re-do Levels 3, 5, 8, and 11 and locate the keys there. Once you've found the fourth, the trophy will pop.
  • Destroy the saint one.

Once you've found all 4 keys in the Church section, you are then given access to this Chapter's secret mission, which you can access by clicking the ? icon on the bottom right. The trophy will pop once you've finished the 2 secret levels and the final cutscene.
