Introduction:

Welcome to Red Dead Redemption, 2010's Game of The Year. Rockstar has done it again in making another masterpiece. Ride throughout Texas in this 1911 Western as John Marston, a former outlaw, looking for revenge on his former gang. This game has the same gameplay as Grand Theft Auto, without the modern life we know today of course. You can take two different paths, as a hero to the West, or a wanted outlaw to the state of Texas!

This trophy list consists of all sorts of things, mostly completing the game to 100% and reaching to level 50 on multiplayer. With this Roadmap I will be describing the best and fastest way of getting your platinum. There is also one missable trophy, but you can however, avoid missing it if you use your horse carefully i.e Spurred To Victory.

Patch 1.07

If you have the original release of Red Dead Redemption, then you can delete this patch and play offline in a LAN lobby. By doing this you will earn three times as much XP than you normally would. The Game of The Year Edition does not work as it already has the patch installed. This goes for the digital version as well and applies to the How the West Was Won trophy.

Patch 1.08 (June 19th, 2014)

Since the latest patch (1.08) all GameSpy services HAVE BEEN REMOVED. What this means is that the servers no longer support the Rockstar Social Club tracking website and other services. Because of this, you are no longer able to track your 100% progress, making it much harder to earn Redeemed. You will have to track your progress manually. This does NOT mean that the actual multiplayer servers have been removed, so the platinum is still obtainable.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE!:

It is very important to know that your Multiplayer stats are not saved on the Red Dead Redemption servers, only in your save file. If you lose or delete this save file then you will lose all of your online progress. It is highly recommended to backup your save data regularly. The save file for the online portion is named "Player profile".

To back up your save data, you must have either a USB stick or access to the PS+ Save File Cloud.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete the campaign

In this step you will want to just play yet another brilliant masterpiece by Rockstar. Do not worry so much about trophies, the only trophy you will want to get in this step is Spurred To Victory as it's a missable trophy. Once you have completed the main story you will be able to Free Roam.

Also be on the look out for the first four main challenges so you can work on them while finishing up the main story. Be sure to skin a coyote, save a random stranger from the blue icon on your mini map to receive your very first treasure map, shoot any flying bird in the sky, and pick your first Wild Feverfew flower (white flower). This will let you work on challenges while playing the story, setting yourself up towards 100% completion in step two.

Also be on the look out for the Unatural Selection trophy. You'll have to kill 27 different animal species throughout the game. While meeting the requirements is very unlikely before you finish the main story, it's highly recommend to note down which animals you've killed before you completed the game, making this trophy much easier to earn in step 3.

In this step you will earn the following trophies:

That Government Boy
Land of Opportunity
Sons of Mexico
No More Fancy Words
A Savage Soul
The Benefits of Civilization
Into the Sunset
Spurred to Victory

Step 2: 100% in-game completion (Redeemed)

Getting Redeemed was actually quite fun and it's child's play compared to GTA4's Key to The City trophy, so this won't be that bad. Since the latest patch (1.08), you are no longer able to track your 100% progress from the Social Club. This makes keeping track much harder. However, I have provided a list of everything that you need to keep track of in the Redeemed trophy section.

In this step, you will finish all sets of four challenges, help all strangers, find all 10 hidden treasures throughout the game, and work towards unlocking all of your outfits. Outfits are most time consuming due to the fact that some require you to collect five to six scraps to fully unlock the outfit for it. Scraps require you to do various tasks such as using a map to find it's proper location, or clearing a hideout. For the full list of very location or everything that you need to know, refer to the Redeemed trophy.

In this step you will earn the following trophies:

Buckin' Awesome
Clemency Pays
Exquisite Taste
He Cleans Up Well!
Frontiersman
Man of Honor / Chivalry's Dead
Gold Medal
On the Trail of de Vaca
Strange Things are Afoot
People are Still Strange
Austin Overpowered
Evil Spirits
Instinto Asesino
Redeemed
Nurture or Nature?

Step 3: Single Player Clean Up

Here you will get any Single Player trophies you have not acquired during Steps 1 and 2, most likely by doing specific task's like fighting in saloons for Fightin' Around the World or playing Horseshoes for What About Hand Grenades?.

In this step, you will also work towards any total kills type trophies such as, getting 500 kills with a pistol/rifle, 500 kills with a mounted weapon, and getting 250 headshots. Some of these will come through natural gameplay. However, some of these will need to be farmed until you meet the requirements.

In this step, you will also finish up whatever remaining animal kills you need for the Unatural Selection trophy. If you kept track of every type of animal that you've killed, this shouldn't be difficult to earn during this step.

Refer to each trophy description to find a method to unlock whatever remains in SP before moving on to Multiplayer.

In this step, you will earn the following trophies:

High Roller
No Dice
What About Hand Grenades?
Fightin' Around the World
Bearly Legal
More than a Fistful
Friends in High Places
Mowing Them Down
In a Hail of Bullets
Long Arm of Marston
Bullseye
Unnatural Selection
Manifest Destiny
Dastardly
Heading South on a white Bronco
The Gunslinger

Step 4: Online Multiplayer

In this step you will want to get all 9 online trophies. The main ones that require some effort are The Quick and Everyone Else..., Go Team! and How the West Was Won. Most of these will require for you to win a certain number of match types in a row. Like winning four Team type games in a row, or being the top scoring player in FFA matches. There is also one trophy that will require you to be the leader of a full posse group that requires 8 players. This will most likely need to be boosted. To make these easier, you can find boosting partners in the Red Dead Redemption Trophy Boosting Thread.

In this step you will earn the following trophies:

Have Gun Will Travel
Slow on the Draw
Hit the Trail
Posse Up!
The Quick and Everyone Else...
How the West Was Won
Go Team!
Most Wanted
Red Dead Rockstar

Which will ultimately unlock:
Legend of the West

Outlaws to the End: DLC:

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 6/10 (personal opinion)
  • Offline trophies: 0
  • Online trophies: 10 (10 )
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 5-10hrs (personal opinion)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 2 - 1 on Normal and 1 on Advanced
  • Number of missable trophies: None
  • Glitched trophies: None but see the warning in Step 1 for details of the current server status.
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, you have to finish all 6 missions on Normal and Advanced
  • Do trophies stack?: Yes, it is possible to get multiple trophies at once so see the Guide for details.
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheats available.

Welcome to Red Dead Redemption Outlaws To The End. This is a free DLC that was released in 2010 by Rockstar as an add-on to Red Dead Redemption and contains six co-op missions which can be played with 2-4 players. The servers on Red Dead Redemption are now sadly very unstable and there have been reports of several glitches during missions that I will mention further on. However, I will try and make obtaining 100% in this DLC as easy and as painless as possible.

Step 1: Normal playthrough

Due to Rockstar all but abandoning the online portion of this game, the servers are incredibly unstable when it comes to connecting/joining a free-roam session due to hackers and other undesirables. In many instances, trying to join online directly from the main menu will result in an indefinite loading screen that you will only be able to leave via quitting the game via the XMB. To avoid this problem, join via story mode by pressing then choosing the Multiplayer option.

As a workaround join multiplayer through story mode. As soon as you join select private lobby, then proceed to invite your co-op partner(s) from your friends list from the on-screen menu. Press , then , and then proceed to invite your friends or boosting partner/s. Once your partner(s) have joined, start up a posse then invite them to join. Once they've joined, select a Co-Op mission and they should automatically follow you into the co-op mission game lobby.

I'd strongly recommend playing with friends or dedicated boosting partners in private lobbies, however you can complete the Co-Op missions with randoms if you wish. To play with randoms, instead of going to Private Multiplayer, join a Public server by pressing and scrolling down to Co-Op missions.

To find a boosting partner, try here: LINK or here: LINK

In order to get Gold medals, you need to earn a certain amount of XP in each mission. You will get XP by killing enemies, completing the mission, as well as in game challenges. Note: The more players you have playing with you, the more XP you will have to earn to get a gold medal in any given mission.

During this step you should earn the following trophies:

Well done
Have posse, will travel
2 guys, 1 Coop
Stake a claim
Struck gold
Bulletproof
Friends Indeed

Step 2: Advanced playthrough
In this step you will be doing the Advanced versions of the missions you completed in Step 1 and getting Gold medals on them but you must first complete all 6 Co-Op missions in Normal mode before you can play the Advanced versions. At the end of this step, you will have unlocked the following:

You rule!
The mother lode

Step 3: Cleanup

After completing Step 2, all you should be left with is getting kill chain of 10 in an Advanced mission. By completing this step you will earn the following trophy:

Dodge this

Undead Nightmare DLC:

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 4/10 (Personal opinion)
  • Offline trophies: 10 (9, 1)
  • Online trophies: 2 (2)
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 10-15hrs (Personal opinion)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1 + a single game of Kingpin and another of Undead Overrun.
  • Number of missable trophies: 4 - Zed's Dead, Baby , Mad Marston: The Trail Warrior , Fan Service and Chupathingy
  • Glitched trophies: Yes, 5 - Smoke that Skinwagon , Zed's Dead, Baby , Mad Marston: The Trail Warrior , Fan Service and Chupathingy
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No so play on Easy
  • Do trophies stack?: No
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: There are Cheats and they do disable trophies so don't use them.

Welcome to Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, this DLC isn't canon but is set around 2 months before the events of the main game. Here we follow John Marston on an entirely new campaign where he is tasked to find a cure for a highly infectious plague that is ravaging across the frontier making the dead, undead. Marston must fight for survival against the undead across towns, deserts and mountains and help survivors cleanse out towns along the way to find a cure.

The disc version of Undead Nightmare is a stand-alone game and can played without owning the main game. Also, players who have the Undead Nightmare disc can play with other players who own the main game and have the DLC installed as well as with players who have only the Undead Nightmare disc. You can also earn a few of the trophies from the main game whilst playing Undead Nightmare, providing you have both installed.

The current state of the game:

Due to Rockstar abandoning the online portion of the game, the servers are now incredibly unstable when it comes to connecting/joining a free-roam session due to hackers and other undesirables. In many instances, trying to join online directly from the main menu will result in an indefinite loading screen that you will only be able to leave via quitting the game via the XMB. To avoid this problem, join via story mode by pressing , choosing the Private lobby option, then inviting your friends when you get into the lobby.

There are many nasty glitches in this game that can lock you out of many trophies, thus requiring a complete new game to be started from scratch. I would recommend saving regularly and creating a backup save, either to a USB drive or the PS Plus Cloud.

Here is a list of the most common glitches and the trophies they affect.

The 2 main glitches in this DLC are with Famine and the Chupacabra since failing to break Famine and kill the Chupacabra during your respective first encounter with them, will cause a cascade failure that leads to the following trophies becoming unobtainable for the current playthrough:

  • Zed's Dead, Baby
  • Mad Marston: The Trail Warrior
  • Fan Service
  • Chupathingy

You can reduce your risk of having to replay the game from scratch, by saving your game in a another slot before you enter Mexico during the main story mission called "American Imperialism". Now if you do get glitched, you can reload the other save and try again.

See below for detailed info on what causes the problems the above trophies:

Famine horse glitch ~ Famine may appear only once and must be located and broken upon seeing him for the first time, as failure to do so may cause him to permanently disappear from the game.

Fan Service: Find and break the Unicorn ~ You must complete the Undead Apocalypse challenge in order for the Unicorn to appear but if you missed Famine or failed to break him, you cannot get this trophy.

Mad Marston: The Trail Warrior ~ In order to complete the Undead Apocalypse challenge, you need to reach Rank 4 but if you missed Famine or failed to break him then you cannot complete this challenge or get the trophy. Rank 3 of "Undead Hunter" is also glitchy, due to Retcher explosions not always registering correctly.

Zed's Dead, Baby: Attain 100% Game Completion ~ Failure to tame Famine and kill the Chupacabra will result in the 100% completion being unobtainable due to the Undead Apocalypse and Undead Hunter challenges being impossible, which then leads to the Unicorn never spawning so it can’t then be caught and broken.

Chupathingy: Find and kill a Chupacabra ~ If you failed to kill the Chupacabra then it may never reappear, thus locking you out of this trophy.

Fan Service: Find and break a Unicorn ~ The Unicorn will not appear until the Chupacabra is killed but if that glitched and never spawned or you failed to kill it, then this trophy will be unobtainable..

The Smoke that Skinwagon trophy also has a couple of nasty glitches attached to it:

1: Kills not being added to the kill bar.
2: Either no enemies spawn or only one spawns at a time, thus making it impossible to fill the meter bar in time.

There is no known fix for these, other than restarting the match.

There are also some really nasty glitches that may not affect the trophies but can corrupt your save files:

Sometimes you will see ground objects floating in the sky or birds floating on the ground. This is a game breaking glitch and the only option is to close your game via the button, then reboot it. I strongly recommend backing up your saves to either the PS Plus Cloud or a USB drive as this glitch can corrupt your current save file.

Step 1: Story Mode

Play through the main story (which is a mix of Survivor and Stranger missions), none of these are missable and can be completed in around 2 hours. You will unlock the following trophies:

The Downward Spiral
Judge A Man By The….
The Superior Dance
All's Right With The World

Step 2: Challenges

Once you have completed the main game, I recommend starting on the Challenges but take you time and pay close attention to each one. There are some that can be missed thus locking you out of the 100% and requiring a second playthrough. You can keep track of challenges in the Main Menu under Journal. In this step you will unlock the following trophies:

Mad Marston
Fan Service
Chupathingy

Step 3: Zed's Dead, Baby + Clean-up

Now the clean-up, you should only have these trophies left to unlock. Zed's Dead, Baby can be unobtainable if either Famine or the Chupacabra decide to glitch and not spawn/re-spawn, thus requiring a whole new playthrough. Spinning Plates can be completed after beating the main game, but there are some towns you need to save in order to progress in the story.

Six Years In The Making
Spinning Plates
Zed's Dead, Baby

Step 4: Online

Please note that Kingpin requires at least 9 players (8 + yourself) and Undead Overrun is virtually impossible with less than 3 players as the higher you get in waves, the less time you have to fulfil the kill meter and the harder the zombies are to kill so please use the boosting thread to find some people to help you: LINK

Some players may have trouble joining you or may be invisible due to how unreliable the servers are but the only solution is to have someone else host. In this step you will unlock the following trophies:

Kingpin
Smoke That Skinwagon

91 trophies ( 17  71  19  )

  • You've become a true legend of the west!

To earn this rewarding Platinum trophy, unlock all the non-DLC trophies.

  • Win over 2000 chips in a hand of Poker.

To get this trophy you will need to win 2000 chips of poker in one hand. There is a pot which is basically like putting in money on the round and whoever wins that round with the best hand wins every chip in the pot.

If you do not know how to play Poker then go to Blackwater and save before attempting to get this trophy. The buy-in is $100 so make sure you have at least that amount in cash. As soon as the game starts, raise all your chips to "All in" which is 1000 chips. There will usually be 1 A.I that doesn't fold and goes all in with you, if you win that hand you would have won 2000 chips and the trophy is yours. If you don't win then reload your last save and repeat.

  • Complete a game of Liar's Dice without losing a single die.

This game is quite fun but kind of confusing if you don't know how to play. You start off with 5, six-sided "dies" which is your dice. The point is to bid on the face and quantity of dice there is in the whole table. You can find liar's dice in saloon's and the first opportunity to play Liar's Dice will be in Thieves' Landing.

Start off the bid with the quantity on x5 and my face on 5. The next bidder can either raise the bid to a higher quantity or a higher face with the same quantity of the previous bid. Keep in mind that you can bluff by bidding on more quantities even if you don't have that many in your cup. If you do this and another player calls a bluff then each player reveals their dice, all quantities and faces combine to your bid. Lets say that you bid x6 on the number 5 face and you only have x5, 5 faced Dice but another player has the same face you bid on, then it will count towards your bid and make your bid true. If it's false then it's considered a bluff and you will lose a die.

The best strategy I found was to always be honest and start off your quantity to be high, it usually causes the next bidder to exaggerate and make a bluff thus causing him to lose a die. Also try to make all players to lose dies on each other. Best way to do this is by being honest and bidding on a low quantity and low face. Sometimes you will have to lie and make a bluff, the A.I usually calls your bluff so be careful and only use it if you think they might have your faced bid. Just be honest and play smart and you won't have a problem getting this. If you lose a die then try not to quit the game, get to know how the game is played as it really is a great game.

Here is a visual walkthrough, credit goes to leadexample:

  • Get a ringer in a game of Horseshoes.

This trophy is quite tricky as you have to get your Horseshoe onto a ringer pole. You are able to access this game early on in the game at MacFarlane's Ranch, however the horseshoe pits at Rathskeller Fork are way easier to get a ringer on because they are closer together than the ones in MacFarlane's Ranch. If you are having trouble getting a ringer, attempt it on Rathskeller Fork instead. You get two chances per round so keep practising until you get it. Aim with and make sure the middle of the horseshoe is aiming straight at the pole, then move the down then up and try to stop at the middle line. If done correctly you will hit the pole with your horseshoe. Sometimes I would have a perfect throw that still wouldn't hit the pole so it does take some luck.

Here is a visual walkthrough, credit goes to RoosterTeeth:

  • Complete Twin Rocks, Pike's Basin, and Gaptooth Breach Hideouts in Single Player.

You will have to complete every hideout in Single Player, online does not count. Usually the task is to clear out bandits from the Hideout so make sure you are well stocked for ammo. All three of these locations are located in New Austin and only unlock by completing specific story missions. The requirements are as follows.

    • Twin Rocks - Complete "New Friends, Old Problems".
    • Pike's Basin - Complete "Justice in Pike's Basin".
    • Gaptooth Breach - Complete "Man is Born Unto Trouble".
  • Complete Tumbleweed and Tesoro Azul Hideouts in Single Player.

  • Complete a task for Stranger.

See People are Still Strange for more details.

  • Complete 15 tasks for Strangers.

  • Break the Kentucky Saddler, the American Standardbred, and the Hungarian Half-bred.

All three horses can only be found in specific locations. If you aren't sure if you already broken one of them then check a general store, if you are able to purchase any of the three horses then it means you've already broken (tamed) it.

It's rare but this trophy can sometimes glitch and not unlock when you meet the requirements. It seems that when you first break the Kentucky Saddler in the "Wild Horses, Tamed Passions" mission, it does not count for this trophy. To fix this just go south of MacFarlane's Ranch to break it again.

    • The Kentucky Saddler is actually quite common in McFarlane's Ranch and you will probably break one early on in the game. It has a white face and is a brown, black or light brown horse.
    • Hungarian Half-Bred can be only found in Mexico and is common around the Diez Coronas area. Usually travels with other horses. It's a little bigger than other horse's and it's greyish white with a dark face.
    • American Standardbred is all black and a little bigger than other horses. It looks really healthy compared to most horses and you will instantly recognize it during the day. It can be found all across Beecher's Hope and the Great Plains area.
  • Capture a bounty alive.

To be able to get this trophy you will need the Lasso which you unlock after the "Wild Horses, Tamed Passions" mission and complete the "Political Realities in Armadillo" mission to unlock bounty missions. You can find bounty missions in large towns including Armadillo, Chaparosa, Escalera and Blackwater. They will be marked with a skull icon on your map. You can either accept a bounty with the button or decline it with the button. Once you accept a bounty, a red skull will appear on your map with the bounty location. Every bounty will be surrounded by his gang so take them out to make the bounty easier by leaving him for last.

Equip your Lasso by bringing up the weapon wheel by holding and aim it by locking onto an enemy with , get close to the enemy, release with then hogtie him with . Pick him up with and call your horse, then place the bounty on your horse then ride to the jail. Be careful while taking him to the jail as 3 enemies will be after you at any given time.

  • Purchase a rare weapon from a gunsmith.

There are only 5 "rare" weapons in the game, buy any one of these and this trophy is yours. You can buy weapons from the gunsmith stores all over the game (locate the gun icon). The 5 rare weapons are as follows.

    • Mauser Pistol $800 - Located in Blackwater.
    • Evans Repeater $1000 - Located in Blackwater.
    • Semi Automatic Shotgun $1000 - Located in Escalera.
    • Carcano Rifle $1100 - Located in Blackwater.
    • LeMat Revolver $1250 - Located in Escalera.
  • Kill and skin 18 grizzly bears.

Once you get to the end of the game you will be able to hunt Bears in the Tall Trees area. The best spot I found was by Nekoti Rock. Bears can kill you in 2 hits so I recommend you use Dead Eye when up close, along with a shotgun. Bears also usually take one or two shots to kill. Be careful when skinning a bear because there might be more in the area, when you're skinning an animal you can't run away and can still get hurt. Skin 18 bears and the trophy is yours.

  • Obtain the Elegant Suit.

You can purchase the Elegant Suit in the Tailor in Thieves' Landing for $70. It is only available after you complete the "Bear One Another's Burdens" mission.

  • Earn $10,000 in Single Player.

Finding gold from all treasure hunting challenges gives you tons of money, as does selling skinned animals. Buffalo and Bear skins are worth a lot of money if you sell them in Escalera. This trophy is cumulative meaning you do not need $10,000 all at once so feel free to spend as much money as you want.

You can also play Five Finger Fillet to earn quick cash. You can find Five Finger Fillet in several locations e.g Armadillo. Always bet the max which is $100 and play 4 rounds with 3 different players. Each round earns you $200 in total.

  • Obtain Legendary rank in any Single Player Ambient Challenge.

There are four types of Ambient Challenges throughout the game, with every challenge having 10 ranks. After you've completed rank 10 on any of the 4 challenges, the trophy will unlock. The four challenges are as follows.

    • Master Hunter - Activate by skinning a Coyote.
    • Treasure Hunter - Activate by having a random encounter with a stranger (Blue icon on map) that is being attacked somehow by bandits. After you've helped the stranger he will give you his treasure map.
    • Survivalist - Activate by picking a Wild Feverfew.
    • Sharpshooter - Activate by shooting a Bird.

For specific details on all ambient challenges and ranks, click on the link to the Challenges Guide HERE.

  • Score a headshot on any enemy using Expert targeting mode.

Go to the options menu by pressing then from options, go to Config and change your targeting settings to Expert. Get close up to an enemy, use Dead Eye on them and score a headshot.

  • Attain highest Fame rank and either highest Honor rank or lowest Honor rank.

Fame builds up by doing missions, side missions, killing civilians, completing challenges, pretty much anything and it can never go down. Honor is affected on your actions and decisions throughout the game. Getting low Honor is a lot easier than getting it high so if you're having trouble building up your Honor, make a new save and start killing everyone on sight. Once your Fame's as high as it can be and your Honor is as low as it can get, the trophy will unlock.

  • Earn a Gold Medal Rank for a combat mission in Single Player.

You need to get a Gold Medal in any mission in the game as long as it has every challenge; time, accuracy and headshots. Go to the main menu by pressing then go to the stats menu, from there go to missions and choose any mission that has these three requirements. The easiest mission I found was "Old Swindler Blues". All you have to do is get 5 headshots on the 5 enemies without missing. It might sound hard but if you get really close to every enemy, activate Dead Eye then this shouldn't be a problem. The mission takes about 2 minutes to complete.

  • Uncover every location on the map in Single Player.

There are a total of 94 locations in the game and finding all 94 locations counts towards your 100% for Redeemed. You don't need to necessarily find every location by travelling on your own, you can buy territory maps in general stores for every location in the game besides a few that you will have to actually travel to. There are 9 territory maps in total, they are as follows:

There is a possible glitch that causes you to miss a few locations. If you are missing a location then it's possibly Plata Grande, as this location does not unlock by buying a map. For more information on this possible glitch, please refer to this link: On the Trail of de Vaca glitched

  • Use a pardon letter with more than $5000 bounty in Single Player.

Luckily a $5000 bounty can be easily achieved if you keep saving your progress after every $1000 or so. Go to Blackwater and climb the ladder that's behind the Theater, there will be another ladder that you have to climb after that to get to the roof. Once you're on the roof go straight and look to your left, there's a roof of a lower building you can jump to from the ledge, climb up the ledge and jump off it. Once you're on this roof start shooting everything in sight. Make sure you have lots of ammo and create a new save for this as it will bring your Honor down and make everyone scared of you.

You can keep saving your game as long as every bounty hunter is killed so you don't have to get $5000 in one go. Once you've reached a $5000 bounty use a pardon letter at the Telemarket station just down the street from the building in Blackwater, then the trophy will unlock. You get pardon letters every time you complete a gang hideout but you can only have 5 at any given time. When attempting this trophy, you will want to also go for the Heading South on a White Bronco trophy at the same time. You need to kill at least 20 sheriffs before the US Marshals are after you.

Here is a visual walkthrough, credit goes to leadexample:

  • Attain 100% in the Single Player Game Completion stat.

Since of June 19th, 2014, Rockstar no longer supports the Rockstar Social Club website, so you are no longer able to keep track of your 100% progress. This makes the trophy much harder to earn. However, I have provided a list of everything that you need to reach 100% and earn Redeemed. To make this easier, you can check off every requirement using the Red Dead Redemption 100% Checklist. With this spreadsheet, you can manually track your progress.

Huge thanks and full credit goes to Barra333 for creating the spreadsheet.

    U.S. Army Uniform
To unlock this outfit you must complete the mission "The Last Enemy That Shall Be Destroyed".

    U.S. Marshall Outfit
To get this outfit you need to complete every U.S. Hideout within 24 hours (in-game time). This isn't available until you've completed the last mission "The Last Enemy that Shall be Destroyed".

    Possibly Glitched
The Marshal Uniform can glitch and not unlock after doing the hideouts in 24hrs. There may be a solution by replaying "The Last Enemy that Shall be Destroyed" then redoing the hideouts in 24hrs. Credit goes to GoTp for this info.

Before you attempt this make sure you've already cleared every hideout as completing them again will have easier tasks than on your first run. Also, Solomon's Folly does not need to be completed.

You will want to complete the hideout's in this specific order.

    1 - Bike's Basin
    2 - Twin Rocks
    3 - Tumbleweed

    • Pike's Basin - This is located on the East of MacFarlane's Ranch. It's a steep canyon.
    • Solomon's Folly - This is located just South of Benedict Pass and is a PS3 exclusive hideout. Despite it being exclusive it's still required for the 100%.
    • Twin Rocks - This is located just north of Armadillo. You will see two big rocks on the map.
    • Tumbleweed - This is located just South of Gaptooth Ridge. It's a deserted town.
    • Gaptooth Breach - This is located at the Western most point of New Austin. It's a mining area.

There are 18 "Stranger" tasks in the game that need to be completed to count towards your 100%. The Stranger mission "I Know You" however does not need to be completed as it can be missable. For a complete list of Stranger locations, please refer to the People are Still Strange trophy.

    Mini Games (6)
There are 6 Mini Games that need to be completed to count towards your 100%. You must win in all of these games and defeat all players that are available in order for it to count. The following games are as follows.

    • Five Finger Fillet
    • Arm Wrestling
    • Black Jack
    • Horseshoes
    • Liar's Dice
    • Poker

    Bounty Locations (20)
You must complete 20 bounties. There are actually 40 bounties in the game but only 20 are needed for this trophy, however you need to complete at least 8 in New Austin, 8 in Mexico and 4 in West Elizabeth. You can keep track of all the bounties that you've completed by going to the main menu and going to stats.

For a complete walkthrough on all rank challenges, please click on the link to the Challenges Guide HERE.

  • Kill 500 enemies with a mounted weapon in any game mode.

There are plenty of ways to get this trophy, the first method is the most time consuming but also the safest method without dying. Go to El Matadero and climb the ladder by the safehouse that's available to purchase. Use the mounted Maxim Gun on the roof and kill every civilian in sight. The cool thing is that you won't get any bounty so the sheriffs won't be after you and the civilians keep respawning. Keep killing people until the trophy unlocks. You can view your mounted weapon stats in the main menu.

The other method is by playing online, host a private game and head to El Presidio in Mexico. Get your bounty up by shooting at one of the TNT barrels that's inside the place to make sheriff's go after you. Use the cannon on the left of the north side entrance and kill every sheriff that's after you. Do this until the trophy unlocks.

If you have the Undead Nightmare DLC then you can unlock this trophy in about 20 minutes using the same El Presidio method. You must unlock Mexico in Undead Nightmare by completing missions.

  • Kill 500 enemies with any pistol or revolver in any game mode.

As the description says, get 500 kills with any pistol in any game mode, meaning get 500 kills offline or online as they are not cumulative between them. This trophy will come naturally, however, if it doesn't unlock before you beat the game then use a pistol in Multiplayer as you need to reach Level 50 anyway. All pistols and revolvers count towards this trophy. If you decide to get this trophy online then your single player kills won't count. Kill 500 enemies with small firearms and the trophy will unlock.

  • Kill 500 enemies with any rifle, repeater, or shotgun in any game mode.

Just like the previous trophy this should come naturally, however if it doesn't, kill 500 enemies with any rifle until the trophy unlocks. Getting this online won't count unless you get 500 kills with any rifle in Multiplayer. Clearing Hideouts is a good place to farm kills.

  • Get 250 headshots in any game mode.

Use Dead Eye to make headshots easier and buy lots of chewing tobacco if needed. Get 250 headshots and the trophy is yours. The best way to farm kills is by clearing Hideouts.

  • Kill one of every animal species in the game in any game mode.

There are 27 different animal species in the game that you must kill in order for this trophy to unlock. You can view all the animals you've skinned, in the main menu under stats.

This trophy is also possibly glitched because some of the animals are possibly not required for this trophy on the PS3 version like buffalo and songbirds. It is highly recommended you skin animals and pick feathers to keep progress of what you've killed, as killing animals does not keep track on your stats. Buffalo and songbirds are potentially not needed for this trophy, so save the songbird for last if it hasn't unlocked after killing all the required animals. Buffalo are required for the Manifest Destiny trophy so you need to kill a buffalo anyway. The following is the list of all the animals needed to be killed.

    • Armadillos - Can be found around the town of Armadillo.
    • Beaver - Can be found by rivers at the very North end of the Great Plains area (shoot with pistols or they will explode).
    • Bighorn Sheep - Can be found in and around Bearclaw Camp.
    • Boar - Can be found just South of Blackwater.
    • Bobcat - Can be found in the Tall Trees area and by Ojo Del Diablo.
    • Buffalo - Buffalo will travel in a large group and can be found in the Great Plains.
    • Coyote - Can be found all over the game. A good place will be just North of MacFarlane's Ranch.
    • Cougar - Can be found in the Wreck of the Serendipity, Fort Mercer and just North of MacFarlane's Ranch.
    • Crow - Can be found all over there game. When you hear them crowing one is nearby.
    • Deer - Can be found all over the game but are most common in Fort Mercer.
    • Duck - Can be found at Lake Don Julio near the lake.
    • Eagle - Can be found on the North East side of Tall Trees by the river.
    • Elk - These are the larger versions of Buck. They are fatter and look like a Moose. They can be found in the Bearclaw Camp area.
    • Fox - Can be found in the Tall Trees and Great Plains area.
    • Grizzly (Bear) - Can be found in the Tall Trees area.
    • Hawks - Can be found all over the game, however they are really common just outside of Chuparosa.
    • Horse (Wild) - Can be found all over the game. It must be wild (unbroken).
    • Horse (Domesticated) - Can be found all over the game. It must be domesticated (broken, owned by someone).
    • Owl - Can be found in the Tall Trees area only during the night.
    • Raccoon - Can be found behind the general store in Armadillo.
    • Rabbit - Can be found at The Hanging Rock area.
    • Seagull - Can be found at the Pier (Docks) in Blackwater and are most common at the break of dawn.
    • Songbird - Can be found all over the game, but are most common around the Butter Bridge area in Mexico.
    • Skunk - Can be found behind the general store in Armadillo.
    • Snake - Can be found in bushes all over the game. When you hear hissing then you're near one.
    • Vulture - Whenever you clear a Hideout, Vultures will spawn around it.
    • Wolf - Can be found all over the game, but are most common in the Tall Trees area.

To make this easier, you can use the Red Dead Redemption 100% Checklist. With this spreadsheet, you can manually track your progress.

Huge thanks and full credit goes to Barra333 for creating the spreadsheet.

  • Complete all Hideouts in a single public Free Roam session.

You must complete all 8 Hideouts (including Solomon's Folly) in one session, meaning you can't go to a different Free Roam session. When you complete the final Hideout you need, the trophy will unlock.

  • Get 10 assists in a single Hideout in a public Free Roam session.

Bandit Hideout's are marked with a bandit face icon on the map. Try joining an active Free Roam session that has a lot of players to make this easier. Clear a hideout with other players and let them get every kill by purposely shooting every enemy in the leg. You will know if you got an assist whenever you get 200xp. Do this 10 times and the trophy will unlock. If you are having trouble with this trophy head over to the Red Dead Redemption Boosting Thread.

  • Get from Blackwater to Escalera before sundown in a public Free Roam session.

As the description says, get from Blackwater to Escalera before sundown in a public Free Roam session. To be safe join a friendly Free Roam session that way people won't be able to mess with you. Start at Blackwater and wait for it to be the break of dawn, have a mark going to Escalera so you already have a route. When the sun comes up, travel to Escalera. It's a long ride but if you travel with no stops anywhere else you should get to Escalera with a lot of time to spare before sundown.

  • Create a posse and get the maximum number of members.

This trophy can be a pain to get without boosting. Keep playing Gang Hideouts with others and invite them to a posse. Playing with them will most likely get them to join. The larger your posse, the more likely random people will want to join. Be the leader of a full posse (8 people) and the trophy will unlock.

To invite a player, press while in multiplayer and while on the multiplayer menu, press to view "Players" menu in the lobby, then highlight a player and press on "Propose New Posse" to send an invite.

To find boosting partners please refer to the Red Dead Redemption Boosting Thread.

  • Be the top scoring player in any three consecutive FFA games in public matches.

FFA stands for "Free For All". There are 2 FFA modes that count towards this trophy i.e Goldrush and Shootout.

This trophy can be a pain as you have to be the highest scoring player (have to win 3 times in a row). Practice your headshots, getting 1 hit kills can make you almost immortal. Gold Rush is better than shootout since your chances are semi fair if you're new to the online.

If you wish to boost this trophy then head over to the Red Dead Redemption Boosting Thread.

  • Reach the top rank for multiplayer experience.

This will most likely be your last trophy as it takes quite a while to reach level 50. To reach level 50 you need approximately 337,110 XP. Take advantage of Triple XP weekends, clear Hideouts and just have fun. If you want to boost XP on your own the best place is clearing Tesoro Azul or Solomon's Folly, if you want to play with a friend then the best place is Pike's Basin.

When playing Solomon's Folly solo, make sure to play in a Friendly Free Roam session, that way people playing online can't kill you. This hideout can be done in less than 2 minutes once you learn the respawns. There are only 32 gang members to take out and if you chain all 32 members, you get about 800 XP per every run with the latest patch and 2,200 XP without the patch.

Any XP that you earn from the Undead Nightmare DLC also counts for this trophy so you may play that if you wish.

Note: If you have an original release copy of Red Dead Redemption, then you can delete the latest patch (v1.07) and play offline in a LAN lobby. You will get triple the XP than you normally would. Digital copies of the game and the GOTY edition have this patch pre-installed so there is no possible way to delete it, only the original copy has this option.

If you do decide to take this route and delete the patch, then take a look at this guide for the best possible way to boost offline, credit goes to Eternal21: Level 1 to 50 in 8 hours.

Also note that deleting this patch will reset your stats offline, so make sure you delete the patch before you play online whilst signed into PSN. Re-installing the patch, however, does not reset your online stats.

  • Be on the winning team for four consecutive victories in any team based game in public matches.

Unlike The Quick and Everyone Else... this trophy requires you to win 4 times in a row, however, if you're on a good team your chances of winning are better. There's 3 game modes on gang matches. Gang Shootout, Hold your Own and Grab the Bag. If you're a decent player I would recommend Gang Shootout as it only takes skill to win. Try to posse up with friends to make this easier.

If you wish to boost this trophy head over to the Red Dead Redemption Boosting Thread.

  • Become a Public Enemy for 10 minutes and escape alive in a public Free Roam session.

The best place to do this is in the saloon in Armadillo. Make sure you are doing this in a Friendly Free Roam Session, that way no one can kill you when you're the Public Enemy. Climb the stairs to the second floor of the saloon and go outside to the balcony. Go to the East side of the balcony and climb onto the roof of the saloon. Shoot anything in sight like horses, civilians and sheriffs. Once you've reached the $1000 bounty you will be the Public Enemy. Hide by the sign and crouch. It's impossible for anyone to kill you. If your wanted meter is going down, make sure to shoot someone. Do this for 10 minutes and hide behind the sign until you lose your wanted level. I found it best to look at the time right after you become the Public Enemy and wait at least 11 minutes just to be safe.

Also see this quote from GoTp:

Once you become a Public Enemy you don't need to keep your Wanted Meter full, it's about staying alive 10 minutes as a Public Enemy and not 10 minutes as a Public Enemy with a full Wanted Meter.

This is how I did it by getting to $1000 and becoming a Public Enemy and escaping the wanted area. Once 10 minutes went by the trophy popped and there was no need to exit to the outfitter.

There is another solo method on how to get this trophy by staying alive for 10 minutes and exiting the outfitter afterwards from the main menu. Credit goes to Eternal21 for the find.

Here is a visual walkthrough: credit goes to Pesico:

  • Kill a Rockstar or someone with this Trophy in a public multiplayer match

This trophy is quite simple just kill someone that has it. Go into a public Free For All match and kill everyone, someone is bound to have this trophy. If you are having trouble finding someone that has this trophy, then you can head over to the Red Dead Redemption Boosting Thread.

  • Complete 'An Appointed Time'.

Story related and cannot be missed. This trophy will unlock as soon as you finish the mission "An Appointed Time". For a detailed walkthrough see below:

Once you arrive to Escalera and trigger the quest you will watch a cutscene. After the cutscene you will have to duel Raul. Untie Reyes after the duel, then go to the Escalera jail and free the prisoners to aid you in the war outside the mansion. You will have to fight your way up the hill and fight multiple enemies. There's a lot of cover so work your way up the mansion taking cover to restore any damage you may take during your approach. Once you reach the entrance your rebels will plant TNT at the gates, shoot it after Reyes says it's okay to then use the Gatling Gun to shoot the TNT. Once inside there will be a few more enemies inside so wipe them out. Once Reyes' men breach the mansion, Allende will be fleeing from the back entrance with Williamson. Head down the stairs and take out the remaining enemies then get on your horse and pursue Allende and Williamson's stagecoach. They will have enemies protecting them so take them out, including an enemy mounted on a Gatling Gun on the roof of the stagecoach. Once you take out all enemies the stagecoach will stop and you will trigger a cutscene to end the mission.

  • Complete 'At Home with Dutch'.

Story related and cannot be missed. This trophy will unlock as soon as you finish this mission "At Home with Dutch". For a detailed walkthrough see below:

At the beginning of this mission you will have to ride with Nastas to Nekoti Rock. Once you arrive you will have to climb up a ledge with help from Nastas giving you a boost, then you will pull him up the ledge. There will be a wooden wall that you are unable to climb since Nastas broke the wood by climbing it, thus forcing you to find an alternative route. You will have to fight a Bear and a Cougar for the first time so be careful and use your dead eye. Once you reach the top of the cliff you will see a patrol guard that you need to take out silently. Throwing Knives or a Lasso will work. After you take down the guard you'll pick up his binoculars and look around for Dutch. After you find him you will trigger a small cutscene then the mission will be over.

  • Complete 'And the Truth Will Set You Free'.

Story related and cannot be missed. This trophy will unlock as soon as you finish this mission "And the Truth Will Set You Free". For a detailed walkthrough see below:

When you begin this mission you will have to ride with Ross and the US army to Dutch's location in Cochinay. Once you arrive at the location the US Army will blow up the entrance with TNT and you will have to fight your way to Dutch. There will be two waves of enemies so use the Gatling Gun that's mounted nearby to wipe them out. After this you will trigger a small cutscene where the US Army attempt to blow up another Gate. Another wave of Dutch's gang will come from both sides of the gate so use your dead eye to take them out. Once inside you will trigger a cutscene with Dutch, he will use a Gatling Gun and it is impossible to hit him. There will be a lantern nearby that you have to shoot to set the cabin on fire to get him to flee. You will know which lantern it is when you see it zoom in. After he flees, climb up a ladder to the left of the cabin and chase Dutch into the mines. Once you reach the end of the mines you will trigger a cutscene then the mission will be over.

  • Complete 'The Last Enemy That Shall Be Destroyed'.

Story related and cannot be missed. This trophy will unlock as soon as you finish this mission "The Last Enemy That Shall Be Destroyed". For a detailed walkthrough see below:

This will be the last main story mission in the game and has a lot of cutscenes. As soon as the mission starts you will have to take out hordes of enemies coming up the hills. Uncle will help you until he tells you to get inside and trigger another cutscene, then you will fight another two waves of enemies coming from the north side of the map. After these waves John will tell his family to get in the barn. There will be yet another wave of enemies with rifles that can kill your family so stay close to them and take them out. Once you get to the barn there will be a cutscene and the mission will be over.

  • Complete 'Remember My Family'.

This mission will be available to you as soon as you've completed the game. You need to head to Blackwater and once you're nearby you will see a "?" icon on your mini-map. Talk to the man and accept the mission. There really isn't a point writing a walkthrough since it will spoil the game.

  • Kill the last buffalo in the Great Plains in Single Player.

The best place I've always seen buffalo is South East of Blackwater. They always travel in a group and it's almost impossible to kill every buffalo without any of them fleeing in one go. Whenever you kill a buffalo every other buffalo will flee from you. Don't sweat it though because once you have killed a buffalo they never respawn as there only are 20 in the whole game. Once you've killed the last buffalo the trophy will unlock. Try not to have a few buffalo left to kill as it is easier to spot a larger group. Should the stray buffalo run in all directions and escape, leave the area to have them respawn in the general vicinity of where you last found them.

  • Place a hogtied woman on the train tracks, and witness her death by train.

Get a woman, you can find them anywhere but if you're having a hard time finding one then go to the nearest town e.g. Armadillo. Equip your Lasso by bringing up the weapon wheel (hold ) and aim it by locking onto a woman in the street with , get close to the lady then release the Lasso with and hogtie her with . Place her on your horse and ride to McFarlane's Ranch, there will be a train station there. Wait for the train to arrive and stop, place the woman on the train tracks and move out of the way and enjoy the show. Just make sure the camera angle is looking at the woman or her death won't count.

If this trophy does not unlock then attempt it again by using the opposite train as there are two different colored trains i.e one blue and one red. If the trophy did not unlock by using the red train to run over the victim, try using the opposite train i.e blue.

For more information on this possible glitch, please refer to this link: Dastardly Trophy Glitch.

  • Complete 20 story missions without switching to a new horse at a hitching post.

    THIS TROPHY IS MISSABLE!
To avoid missing this trophy, do NOT hitch any other horse except your current one. It's okay to break and ride other horses as long as you don't hitch another one or use a deed for a new horse. If your horse happens to die then pause and go to the main menu, then load last save. When you finish 20 story missions with the same horse and the trophy unlocks, you can hitch other horses and let them die if they happen to.

The only time your 20 story missions stack using a different horse is after earning the Kentucky Saddler. Meaning that after earning the Kentucky Saddler, your 20 story missions won't reset as long as you don't hitch your horse. You have a ton of story missions to attempt this as there are 57 total missions. However it would be wise to earn this early on to ensure you'll always have enough attempts to earn this trophy.

If you don't hitch a horse early on, this should unlock after you complete the "Let the Dead Bury Their Dead" mission and before you reach Mexico.

If you do hitch your horse by accident early on do not worry, just make sure not to hitch a horse after you complete "Father Abraham" as there won't be enough missions to attempt this anymore.

  • Evade the US Marshals while riding the Hungarian Half-Bred horse in Single Player.

Attempt this at the same time as going for the Friends in High Places trophy.

First things first, you need to get the Hungarian Half-Bred horse which can be found in the Diez Coronas area. It's bigger than most horses and is all grey. When you get this horse make sure it's your main horse by hitching it or buying the deed for it. You will also need to have US Marshals after you and you have to kill at least least 20 sheriffs to make them appear. If you're attempting this at the same time as getting the $5000 bounty then chances are you will get the rare evil black horse that is given to you for having low Honor, use the deed of a Hungarian Half-Breed and flee the area. To make this easier, kill every US Marshal but have one alive and chasing you. As soon as you escape, the trophy will unlock.

DLC: Outlaws to the End

10 trophies

  • Complete a Co-Op mission.

This is a very easy trophy, you just need to complete a Co-Op mission online. It doesn't matter what mission you choose or what grade of medal you are awarded at the end because once you have completed the mission, the trophy will pop. To start a Co-Op mission, press whilst in a lobby then scroll down to Co-Op Missions.

  • Complete all Co-Op missions.

This trophy requires you to complete all 6 Co-Op missions regardless of the grade of medal you are awarded at the end. The missions are as follows:

    • The Escape
    • Kidnapped Girl
    • The Herd
    • Ammunition
    • The River
    • Walton's Gold
  • Complete a Co-Op mission with just 2 people.

As the description says, start and finish a Co-Op mission with only 2 people, which mean you can't start with more then kick them out as that won't work but it doesn't matter what grade of medal you get. This can be done in any mission but the fastest one is "The Herd". Once "Mission Complete" appears on the screen, you will then proceed to the final results screen whereby the trophy will pop.

  • Gold medal any Co-Op mission.

    See Struck gold.

  • Gold medal all Co-Op missions.

In order to get this trophy you will need to get a "Gold" medal on all Co-Op missions. Mission time doesn't affect your overall score but the number of kills in a row (kill chains) do. Try and chain as many kills as you can but players getting injured or incapacitated won't affect the overall score. You don't need to Gold medal all 6 missions with the same team although I strongly recommend staying with the same team to make tracking things easier.

  • Complete a Co-Op mission without anyone dying.

As the description says, you need to complete a Co-Op mission without anyone dying. You can, however, become incapacitated (downed) but you cannot bleed out and must be revived in order to fulfil the requirements of the trophy. If someone goes down then you can revive them by pressing once you are beside them. There will be a circle timer above the downed players body, giving you an indication of how much time you have to revive them before they bleed out but in the Advanced maps this timer will decrease a lot faster so don't dawdle. Also, make sure that you've cleared out any nearby enemies before you attempt to revive your team-mate.

Start a Co-Op mission that you and your team-mates are familiar with and stay somewhat close to one another. Personally, I recommend the Walton's Gold mission in Normal Mode. Once you've completed the mission, then you will be awarded with this trophy but only if no-one died during the mission.

  • Complete all Advanced Co-Op mission.

In order to be able to play the Co-Op missions in Advanced Mode, you must first complete all of them in Normal Mode. The Advanced missions are the exact same 6 missions and objectives from Normal mode, only a lot harder since Auto Aim is turned off, enemies will inflict a lot more damage to you and the "Bleeding out" timer will decrease a lot faster.

I recommend trying to get both this and The mother lode trophy at the same time.

  • Gold medal all Advanced Co-Op missions.

As the description says, you need to get a Gold medal on all of the Advanced Co-Op missions. Although this may sound difficult, all of the missions are feasible if you take your time and have good co-operation with your team-mate(s). Fortunately, mission time does not affect your overall score but kills chains do.

I recommend only 2 people killing (the others reviving and providing recon if needed) for a maximum chain score but be aware that Auto Aim is turned off thus making kill chains harder to get. You will also need to stay in cover a lot  more too. I also recommend throwing either Fire Bottles or Dynamite to get a kill chain going, then mopping up the remaining enemies that are injured or have scattered. The overall scores needed to get a Gold medal on Advanced has also increased but with decent chain kills, you should be able to reach that and higher. Also, please note that the more people you play with, the higher the overall score to get a Gold medal will be.

I recommend the Gunslinger, Miner and Marksman loadout classes when doing these missions, especially on Advanced. The Marksman class will be very useful for sniping and thinning out enemies from distances, the Miner for the Fire Bottles/Dynamite to clear out clumps of enemies together and the Gunslinger class for its medium range rifle and revolver which is very high powered at closed range, as well as having a high fire rate. Also, you can use your online load out (No Holds Barred), though I would only recommend using this if you've reached level 50 online and haven't Passed into Legend (Prestiged) yet.

Always use cover, hug walls, be careful and watchful of enemies trying to flank you or lobbing Dynamite in your direction to flush you out. Whilst doing this stay close to your team-mates so you can revive them if necessary but as mentioned before, some enemies will lob Dynamite or other explosive items at you so don't stick too close together to avoid being wiped out with one explosion. Upon completing the last mission on Advanced and getting a Gold Medal for all 6 of them, the trophy will be yours. You will also unlock You Rule! at the same time.

Please refer to my Gold Medal Supplement, for a breakdown of completing each Co-Op mission: LINK

  • Achieve a kill chain of 10 or more in any Advanced Co-Op mission.

To get this trophy you need to get a kill chain of 10 or more in any Advanced Co-Op mission. However, in Advanced mode there is No Auto Aim but this doesn't have to be as hard as it sounds, though I recommend leaving it until last so you can focus on the other trophies. The easiest mission and place to get this is The Escape at the ghost town (Tumbleweed).

As soon as you reach this area, go left towards the windmill on the hill. There are 2 cannons here that are lightly defended. Take out the enemies here and proceed to the Cannons but be aware of a gunner on your bottom far left. Take out the enemies below then shoot at the numerous Gatling Gun soldiers in front of the mansion, which should rack up a 10+ kill chain. Another good place to rack up a high kill chain in this mission, is to fire a cannon shot through one of the mansion's windows and If done correctly then it should net you a kill chain of 10+.

Another good place to get this trophy is The Herd and pick the Marksman loadout so please refer to the video below for a walkthrough:

  • Complete a Co-Op mission without dying.

    See Friends indeed.

DLC: Legends and Killers Pack

10 trophies

  • Come back from a 2-0 deficit and win a Hold Your Own game.

Use the Trophy Boosting Thread: LINK. You need at least two people including yourself to get this trophy. What you need to do is let the other player get your bag 2 times in their chest and after they get 2 bags and you are still at zero, you can go ahead and win it by getting three of their bags, after the match ends you will be rewarded with the trophy.

  • Kill 3 or more players in a standoff or showdown.

Use the Trophy Boosting Thread: LINK. You need at least four people including yourself to get this trophy. Start a match with at least 4 people, whether it be a Free For All or a gang match, and kill 3 people. While in the standoff, kill 3 other members before the standoff ends.

  • Get 3 kills with knives or throwing knives in a single competitive match.

Using the standard melee knife will take a few swipes to kill someone. You don't have to do this back-to-back as long as its in one match. Gang matches are the perfect place to get throwing knives and the melee knife is also a good choice when you can't find a throwing knife.

  • Double capture 3 times in a single Gold Rush map.

Use the Trophy Boosting Thread: LINK. You need at least three people including yourself to get this trophy. What you need to do it collect 2 bags of Gold while playing Gold Rush (Free For All) and drop it in the case 3 times. After you do it three times, the trophy should unlock. Just make sure you grab 2 bags before dropping them in the chest.

  • Kill 5 players via headshot in a single Shootout or Gang Shootout.

This trophy can be done on the same player over and over. This trophy has be in a Shootout or a Gang Shootout match. Just aim for the head and it will unlock after your fifth headshot kill. It doesn't have to be right after each other, just has to be in a single competitive shootout match.

  • Reach level 50 and pass into Legend.

This trophy is retroactive so if you already reached level 50 and passed into legend, you will still be able to get it. As soon as you buy the DLC and pop in the game and head in to an online free roam the trophy will pop. If you want this trophy but don't like the thought of having to work your way back up to level 50, backup your save, pass into Legend, then copy your save back. Thanks to Yazter for this tip.

  • Get a kill greater than 35 yards with a Tomahawk.

This is a stressful trophy to obtain. There are many locations to get this trophy so it's best going for this trophy with someone you have on your friends list and not just any random person. This can be done on any player. Below are four easy locations to try to get the trophy at:

1.Start off at MacFarlane's Ranch and head down to where the horses are and have one player stand in the middle while you throw the Tomahawk at him/her until the trophy pops. Keep in mind you have 10 Tomahawks so don't waste them.

    2. You can head to Tensoro Azul and aim for the NPC that hangs out outside the door of the hideout. Make sure you are a good distance away.

    3. Just outside Blackwater. Throw it at an NPC and you should be able to obtain it that way too. Credit to J3R3MY5 for this tip.

Thanks to RoosterTeeth for the video:

  • Complete all Tomahawk challenges in Single Player.

This is just like an ambient challenge. It can be viewed in your Journal. Go into your Journal in the Start screen and then click on Challenges. There are 5 levels for the Tomahawk Challenge and you can start them by buying the Tomahawk from Manzanita Post.

    1. Buy the Tomahawk from Manzanita Post.

Tomahawks cost $30 dollars for 1 but $600 dollars for 20.

    2. Kill one enemy with the Tomahawk used as a throwing weapon, one as a melee weapon and one from horseback.

This doesn't have to be in any order.

Throwing Weapon: Take the Tomahawk out and throw it at anyone to complete this part of the challenge.

Melee Weapon: Stand right next someone to kill that person to complete this part of the challenge.

From Horseback: While on a horse throw the Tomahawk at someone to complete the challenge all together.

    3. Kill a flying bird with a Tomahawk without using Deadeye.

Go to Hanging Rock, which is north of Armadillo. Go on top of any of the mountains in that area and wait for a bird to get close and then make your move, a few throws, but you will kill a bird sooner or later. It is easier to kill a flying bird during the daytime.

Note: After you have cleared a hideout you can just take out your Tomahawk and hit a vulture with it, if you learned their predictable flight pattern (thanks to mjc0961 for this tip). Try the Twin Rocks gang hideout. There aren't too many enemies there so just take 3 minutes to clean them out, then a flock of vultures start circling in the air. From there you just have climb to the roof of the house in the middle and then it will be easier to tomahawk one of the vultures because of their easy to predict flight pattern.

    4. Kill 5 enemies in a row without missing with the Tomahawk.

Try this at Solomon's Folly. The enemies are out in the open and there is more cover. Restock on Tomahawks if you are low. Solomon's Folly has exactly 5 enemies to kill at the hideout so it should be no problem.

    5. Complete a gang hideout using only the Tomahawk.

If you started Challenge 4 at Solomon's Folly and finished it, complete the hideout with only using the Tomahawk to finish Challenge 5. If you miss while trying to kill an enemy while driving the wagon, it's okay but don't use any other weapons.

Due to the 1.04 patch, you may have trouble earning this rank right after earning Rank 4 while completing Solomon's Folly. You just have to complete Solomon's Folly a second time for the trophy to pop up. Thanks to Frejim for info.

  • Get 25 Deadeye kills with Red.

When you first go online, press , go to Multiplayer and then Outfitters. There will be a section that says Characters => Red Dead Revolver => and Red Harlow will be the first person. Press and it will save. Return to Free Roam and look for some Deadeye while playing a Competitive Free For All match or Free Roam, then just kill 25 players using Deadeye.

Note: NPCs do not count, thus you have to kill real players while playing an online Free For All/Free Roam. The kills are cumulative so you can take as long as you need. It doesn't matter what maps you are on, it just matters what character you use to get the kills with this weapon.

    Alternate method:

Here is how I did it. From Chuparosa, go to the bridge area north above Perdido and you should find at least three different Deadeye boxes in this area.

The person going for this trophy should have a Buffalo Rifle. When you use the deadeye with it and lock onto someone's body or head. This gun will automatically shoot since it's a one shot rifle. If the other booster doesn't have this rifle. The person who is level 50 can give it to them by equipping it and then dying.

Do not kill the person with the deadeye but let them get the trophy then you can switch.

  • Get 25 Dynamite kills with Pig Josh.

When you first go online, press , go to Multiplayer and then Outfitters. There will be a section that says Characters => Red Dead Revolver => Pig Josh is the fifth from the right. This is similar to Original Gunslinger, only with Dynamite instead of Deadeye so look for the White Ammo Creates while playing online to restock your supply.

    Alternate method:

Kill the person you're boosting with, then hold the dynamite and you will blow up. It beats looking for an ammo box refill.

DLC: Liars and Cheats Pack

10 trophies

  • Complete the Explosive Rifle Single Player Challenge

Note: If you have the Undead Nightmare disc, then you have to get Master Exploder in the Undead Nightmare campaign so the challenges are slightly different. Credit to SylarTheNinja for this info.

This is just like an ambient challenge. It can be viewed in your Journal. Go into your Journal in the Start screen and then click on Challenges. There are 5 levels for the Explosive Rifle Challenge and you start them by buying the Rifle from Blackwater from the Gunsmith.

    Explosive Rifle RANK 1:

The prices for the Rifle will differ depending on what Treasure hunting Challenges you have completed and how high you Honor is. For Rank 1 buy the Rifle from the Gunsmith at Blackwater for:

    Good Guy = 5,000
    Neutral = 10,000
    Bad Guy = 15,000

    Explosive Rifle RANK 2:

Kill five enemies who are covering with the Explosive Rifle. Go to Gaptooth Ridge hideout and shoot any enemies you see using cover, it doesn't have to be one after the other. You can miss three times in a row and still get the Rank up. If you are still missing some enemies the Gold Mine has more than enough people in cover.

    Explosive Rifle RANK 3:

Get three kills with 1 shot with the Explosive Rifle. The best way to get this Rank is to Hogtie 3 enemies and carry them over to each other in a circle and shoot them all at once with your explosive rifle.

    Alternative methods:

1: Alternatively, go to Tumbleweed Hideout. Kill all bandits in the town but one. Mount your horse, kill the last bandit and hurry to the mansion. Take cover behind the stone fence, wait for the first bandit to open the door and then shoot. Credit to Simonp92 for this tip.

2: Go into the bar in Armadillo and just shot the floor in-between the gang members that are always sitting in there, make sure there are at least 3 members. They shouldn't do anything until you get one shoot off, by that time they should be dead. Credit to AlexAnswer for this tip.

    Explosive Rifle RANK 4:

Kill 2 wild animals with 1 shot. This is pretty easy, use some bait in the outskirts of Armadillo, head over to Tall Trees or anywhere you can find a good amount of coyotes. These things will usually come in packs of 5 or 6 so if you use the dead eye on those little bastards you can complete this challenge easily.

    Explosive Rifle RANK 5:

Kill an enemy with the Explosive Rifle while wearing the US Army Uniform. First, obtain the US Army Uniform. You unlock the US Army Uniform by completing the mission "An Appointed Time". To earn it, complete the following tasks:

    • Search Aurora Basin
    • Win at Arm Wrestling in Pacific Union Railroad Camp
    • Eliminate all other players in a game of Poker in Blackwater
    • Complete the "Lights, Camera, Action" Stranger task
    • Complete Nightwatch Job in Blackwater
    • Purchase at the tailor shop in Blackwater

Next, head to your safe house and change into the US Army Uniform. After putting on the uniform just shoot an enemy. If there is a Wanted poster nearby, grab it and go after that bandit and kill anyone that comes in your way and then the trophy will pop.

  • In a full Multiplayer game, beat the table when the blinds are at maximum

This trophy can be a pain. The best way of obtaining this trophy is to start in a public/private match with 6 people you know or with a total of 6 randoms. You don’t have to end with 6, Just start with six people/Members. People tend to quit right after they lose and Rockstar knows that so they only want you to start off with six. When you start the game and have 6 of friends at the table, 4 of them can leave and go to another room if they don't want to stay.

Also the game tends to freeze with the maximum amount of people at the end of the poker game so that is why I advise you to start with six and have 3 or 4 people quit, then go ahead and start letting those big blinds raise to maximum.

Wise Words For Boosters: Fold, fold, fold. When the big blinds are at max, the player not going for the trophy folds until the game is over and the player going for the trophy wins. Please use the boosting thread, if you plan to boost this trophy: LINK

This trophy can be done in a private match with friends. You have a daily allowance of 200 dollars; if you earn more than 200 in a day, it will not reset your total back to 200. Getting to maximum blinds takes about 25-30 minutes and varies on where you play poker at (see list below). Thanks TheNukes & Blessorship.

Macfarlanes Ranch: $10 buy in - Big blinds max out at 64.
Armadillo: $25 buy in - Big blinds max out at 192
Theives Landing: $25 buy in - Big blinds max out at 192
Casa Madrugada: $50 buy in - Big blinds max out at 320
Beechers Hope: $100 buy in - Big blinds max out at 640
Blackwater: $100 buy in - Big blinds max out at 640

Here are the possible card combinations (from best to worse):

    1. Royal Flush: 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace of the same suit.
    2. Straight Flush: A Straight. Example: One 6, one 7, one 8, one 9 and one 10
    3. Four of a Kind: Four cards with the same number. Example: Four 6's
    4. Full House: Combination of "Three of a Kind" and "Pair". Example: three 4's and two 9's
    5. Flush: Five cards. Example: Five cards with the "spades" suit.
    6. Straight: Five cards in successively order. Example: One 3, one 4, one 5, one 6 and one 7 or one A, one 2, one 3, one 4 and one 5
    7. Three of a Kind: Have three cards with the same number. Example: Three 7's.
    8. Two Pairs: Have two pair combinations. Example: Two 9's and two Kings.
    9. Pair: Have two cards with the same number. Example: Two 6's.
    10. High Cards: No combination, the high card is your card with highest number. Example: One Ace.

With this you should be able to understand Poker and get the trophy without losing too many chips. I recommend folding if the first four cards thrown at the table are bad and don't make a good hand. Don’t bet too high or your opponents will fold. As said it doesn't matter if the other players quit, all you have to do is start off with six.

  • In a Multiplayer Poker game, win a hand on the last card when you were losing prior

"You have to be losing the hand at the point that there are only four cards on the table ("The Turn") and then have the fifth card change the outcome, making you the winner. As a quick example: if you had a pair of Jacks and someone else had a pair of Kings after the Turn, you would be losing (obviously). If the River is a Jack, giving you three of a kind and the win, the trophy is yours". Credit to OnuosFan for this tip.

This trophy can be easy or a pain, since you never know how the cards will come out on the table. It may take a few tries before obtaining this bad boy. What I suggest is to play a game in a public match and play as normally as you would. When the last card pops up, it's either a miss or hit for this trophy. Keep playing and you will eventually get it. See Pa-Pa-Pa-Poker Ace for tips on how to play poker.

  • In a single Multiplayer Liar's Dice game, successfully make a spot-on call

It's easier to call a spot-on when there are less players at the table. This is mostly based on luck, but comes around often if you trust your instincts. I got it a few times in the two times I played. Wait until it’s your turn and when a set number of dice are called, hit to call it spot-on.

If there are two or three people at the table and it comes around to your turn and the last die to be called is three dice with face 4, it's more likely to be a spot-on if you have that same number in your hand. When someone says there is three of something, it just means there may be a minimum of three dice with a face of 6. If you see something like six dice with a face 4, it's mostly likely to be a bluff with only two or three people at the table. The trophy is based on the amount of dice on the table for you to make the best call.

If you are boosting, just ask the person you are boosting with how many of a number of the dice he/she may have and call it spot-on. The trophy will pop up a few seconds later. Please see the One Die to Rule Them All trophy for info on how to play Liars Dice and a link to the Boosting Thread.

    Escalera: $10 Buy in
    Casa Madrugada: $25 Buy in
    Thieves' Landing: $100 Buy in

  • In a Multiplayer Liar's Dice game, win with only one die left

This is easy to do without boosting, as it is based on how well you play until only you and one other player are left at the table. Just play as normal and try not to lose dice until after your foe has one or two dice left. Start making wrong calls so you lose dice and get to one dice left then on your turn, if the other player calls your call wrong, just change it up every time to confuse the other player.

For example: If it's your opponent's turn and he calls a die that you don't have (e.g. he calls one die with face 1 and you don't have a 1), call the spot-on. If he is telling the truth, you will win and get the trophy (he can lie and the spot-on will go wrong, it's all a matter of luck).

If you plan to boost this trophy, then please use the boosting thread: LINK

Note: this trophy can be done in a private match.

  • Get first place in all races in any Grand Prix

Please use the boosting thread, if you plan to boost this trophy: LINK

This trophy can be done in a private match with friends. As stated before, there are a range of 3-5 races in various places in Red Dead Redemption and winning all 3-5 in one place will grant you this trophy. Just win the races. They can be a challenge if you don't boost but you can just kill all that get in your way and win each race.

For boosters, form a group of two in a Private Match and let one person win each race back to back. Each Grand Prix has about 3-5 races and they are chosen at random.

    Tips for the races:

    • You have limited ammo, so use it wisely and go for headshots if possible. If you kill the other racers, you will be able to pick up their ammo if you ride over it.

    • Tap like mad. Hold when you are low on stamina but not for too long and continue spamming when your stamina is back. It's harder for the other players to kill you if you are in front and are a good distance away.

    • Even if you are first, watch out for other players behind you, don't ride straight for too long, try to zigzag sometimes so they can't hit you.

    • Try not to aim at other players while in the lead as you may end up going off road and off a cliff. Just worry about what’s in front of you. Save the horse's stamina for the home stretch before the finish line.

    • Shoot players when you are 2nd, 3rd or 4th so you don't waste bullets for bad positions.

    • Use the Shotgun only if you are close to the guy and Revolver if he is a little far away. Never shoot if you are way in the back.

    • If you are in 1st place and are about to die, look back and kill the shooter so you stay safe (only do this with the Shotgun if you have bullets). This is easier if the other player is close by.

    • Touch (or almost touch) the barrel of your Shotgun in your opponent's back for a one shot kill and an amazing blood bath.
  • During a Grand Prix, finish a race after placing last in the previous race

Press go to the bottom of the list of games and other things to do and head to the Grand Prix. The races range from 3-5 and are easier to do with just one other player but if you end up with more, just lose the first race and win the next. You can kill other players and pick up their weapons. There is no auto-aim, however so it may get tough and they can shoot back. As long as you come in last the first race and place first in the race fight after the trophy will pop.

If you are in first place, try not to look back, because it will be harder to control the horse. When you are in first, it’s harder for you to get shot. Use the button wisely and whenever there is a straightaway. This is one of the easier horse racing trophies, since all you have to do is win once after placing last and if you join a public match with just one person it should be no problem. Check Triple Crown for Horse Racing tips.

  • While on defense, do not allow the attacking team to capture any of their objectives

As the title states, don't let the attacking team capture any of the Objectives. I would advise staying back and killing all that come to the Dock, Flag or any of the starting objectives until the mission is finished and you switch over to the attacking team (if you start out on defense).

Each Stronghold mission is about 3:30 to 5 minutes. There are 2 different stronghold difficulties, Stronghold that allows auto-aim and Hardcore Stronghold that has free aim. I advise going for this trophy in a causal Stronghold match if you are not boosting.

    Map tips for non-boosting:

Escalera: Stay behind the building north from where you spawn first. Don't cover, just hide behind the wall and kill everyone that approaches. Roll behind the wall again if you are taking too much shots.

Thieves' Landing: Cross the bridge in front of where you spawn, head right and take cover/hide behind the corner in a way you can see the flag. PS. There is a blind spot behind you in the opposite corner, can be solved if a friend stays there as you stay in the stop you are at.

Blackwater: The hardest one. The flag doesn't have too much cover spots near it. Your best bet is to stay behind the building in front of the train station, facing the flag and the enemies spawn camp (up the mount).

For boosting, this is best done in a Private game with a friend. Start a two player Stronghold match. Do nothing until time expires and the defending team gets trophy. Team swap occurs, do nothing again and the other players get the trophy. Thanks PuppetShoJustice for the Boosting tip.

If you plan to boost this trophy, please use the boosting thread: LINK

  • Get a triple kill while on the attacking team in Stronghold

This is a harder trophy, since you are playing against live players and don't know where they will end up. If you happen to come across a group of players in one place and have an Explosive Rifle, shoot them and this trophy will pop. This trophy is easier if you are boosting and have a stick of Dynamite in your possession.

Mostly likely if you are playing in a Public Match, your enemies will be guarding the Dock, so if you get there without getting caught and throw a Dynamite which kills them (before you die), you should obtain this trophy. Try not to run when going to blow up the opposing team, because your icon will pop up on the mini-map and the other team will be able to see it.

The easiest locations to get this trophy are Thieves' Landing by the second safe (using Dynamite) and Fort Mercer (using the Cannons).

    Other tips:

"The attacking team in Stronghold starts with a stick of Dynamite each time you spawn". Credit to PuppetShoJustice for this tip.

"The Explosive Rifle can be found in safes throughout the Stronghold maps in competitive modes". Credit to oOoOo for this tip.

  • Attain over 50,000 posse points in a single Free Roam session

You can join a posse that has already started earning points in a public free roam and the points will still help you earn the trophy. You can also form a posse of 8, but you don't have to earn points together, just while in a posse. For example, half the people can split from the group of 8 and do Hunting Grounds while the other half can go and do Gang Hideouts. Just stay in a posse and don't break it. Hunting Grounds are black circles with 2 white circles inside and Gang Hideouts are black circles with a white bandit face and hat.

If your teammate leaves or gets disconnected, your posse’s points will drop and you will only be left with just the points the remaining player(s) have. When the disconnected player joins again he will start off with 0 points.

If you get 50,000 points and you invite other players to your posse they will get that trophy too, as long as they have the DLC and you still have total posse points of at least 50,000.

To do this with 2-3 people, form a posse and go to Solomon’s Folly where you can net about 500 or more posse points in about a minute. This trophy will take around an hour and a half to obtain with 2-3 people.

A better method if you have a bigger posse, 5-8 people. The trophy will be obtained in less than an hour if you achieve more posse points. The narrator will alert your posse to your progress. He will announce when you reach 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 and then after you reach 50,000. He even announces your individual points.

There are two ways to check your stats: while in free roam right after the Hideout you are doing has ended and the stats page pops up, and when you are not in a mission.

    1. When you finish a Gang Hideout, hold and the points will pop up with your score and the players in your posse; next to the posse leader will be the total posse points.

    2. After you complete a Gang Hideout or Hunting Ground, you get the personal stat screen that says Total XP, and press to get the posse points for that run, that is your score toward your posse points + what your posse gets.

DLC: Undead Nightmare

12 trophies

  • Have every territory saved at the same time during the Undead Nightmare.

I recommend leaving this trophy until last, as you need to have all towns saved at the same time and they usually come under attack during a mission or when you are nowhere near the town in question. There are 22 towns in total that need cleansing and will be re-infested within 3 in-game days but will become overrun in day 4 and within 4.5 days you will lose a survivor every day in that specific town if you failed to cleanse it again. Also note that you can still get the trophy, even if you lose all survivors in a town.

When a town is under attack you will get a notification in the top left corner. You can fast travel to it from your current town, making it quicker to cleanse the town and lose less survivors.

Red question mark - Undiscovered town.
Blue cross - The town is safe.
White Hand inside a green circle - The town is under attack.

    MISSABLE and GLITCHED

Warning: Famine is known to only spawn once but failing to break him during your first encounter, will also result in the Unicorn and Chupacabra not spawning. If this happens, then you will be locked out of this trophy for your current playthrough and have to start a new game from scratch.

All of the Undead Nightmare Challenges can tracked in the Journal in the Main Menu. There are 4 Challenges which each have 5 Ranks that you must complete to gain Legendary status.

    Undead Hunter:

    Undead Hunter Rank 1
    Kill 100 Fresh Undead & 25 Bolters

This will come naturally by playing through the main story. Bolters are the fast crawling zombies that move on all fours and the Fresh Undead are just your ordinary zombie that can be found anywhere in the game.

    Undead Hunter Rank 2
Kill 25 more Bruisers & 15 more Retchers

Retchers and Bruisers are most commonly found in graveyards but can also be found whilst cleansing towns also. Bruisers are the big zombies that charge at you and knock you down but Retchers will glow green and vomit green bile at you.

    Undead Hunter Rank 3
Use a single explosion of a Retcher to kill 2 other undead.

    GLITCHED

There have been reports of the Retcher explosion kill not registering but to work around this issue, close the game via the button and restart the game from your auto-save.

This challenge should unlock by progressing through the game but one of the best ways to get it is whilst cleansing a town. Make sure you have a Retcher spawned and wait until he has other zombies near him before taking him down. If done correctly, he should blow up and take at least 2 other zombies with him.

    Undead Hunter Rank 4
Kill 2 undead bears, 5 undead wolves and 3 undead Cougars

Cougars, bears and wolves can be found in Tall Trees, the wolves are black instead of your usual white. Get a horse, preferably the Pestilence as its more or less immortal and circle the animals with the torch. Be aware of zombies and other animals as they will try to get you off your horse and kill you.

    Undead Hunter Rank 5
    Find and Kill a Chupacabra.

    MISSABLE and GLITCHED

Please see Chupathingy for more details as this can be missable and glitched.

    Undead Sharpshooter:

    Undead Sharpshooter Rank 1
Kill 5 Undead in 10 seconds using a gun.

You will get this by just playing through the story but use Deadeye in conjunction with the Cattleman Revolver if you're struggling.

    Undead Sharpshooter Rank 2
Headshot 10 undead in a row.

You need to headshot 10 zombies in a row, missing will reset the counter. Make sure to use Casual Aiming to make this easier and be aware of the Retchers as they will explode killing any zombies nearby thus resetting your counter. You can use Deadeye if needed.

    Undead Sharpshooter Rank 3
Kill 5 flaming undead in 1 dead eye Meter.

Use Undead Bait to lure zombies, you need at least 5 grouped together.
throw a Fire Bottle at them to set them alight, and enter dead eye whilst holding a stick of Dynamite and throw it in the middle of the group.

You can also use War (one of the four horses of the Apocalypse) to set the undead ablaze, then enter Deadeye to pick off 5 zombies that are on fire. If you're struggling with this, there a a load of zombies at Jorge's Gap, run through them with the war horse and then enter Deadeye to pick them off.

    Undead Sharpshooter Rank 4
Kill one of each of the 4 undead types in 1D Deadeye meter.

You need to kill the following 4 Undead types:

    • Regular
    • Retcher
    • Bruiser
    • Bolter

The best place for all 4 types to spawn close together is El Presidio, pick out the 4 different types of zombies and enter Deadeye.

    Undead Sharpshooter Rank 5
Get 5 undead sniper kills in 8 seconds (can't use dead eye).

The best place to get this challenge is the front gate of El Presidio as there is an endless spawn of zombies and as the description says, you must use a sniper rifle and you cannot use Deadeye to kill 5 zombies in 8 seconds. The following method works best:

1: Find a pack of zombies.
2: Throw some Undead Bait to lure them to a spot of your choosing.
3: Now equip your sniper rifle and use () to execute 5 zombies.

    Four Horses of the Apocalypse:

Four Horses of the Apocalypse, Ranks 1-4
Find the four Horses of the apocalypse.

You need to find and tame each of the following horses:

War ~ Black horse that has flames surrounding it, can be found near New Austin, Armadillo and Fort Mercer.

Famine (GLITCHED) ~ Can be either black, brown or dark gray and has a swarm of locusts around it. This horse will appear only once, usually between Torquemada and Diez Coronas. Undead Treasure Hunter:

This series of challenges can only be started by a random event, because you must obtain a treasure map to start them. After finding a man sitting at a campsite (either eating or talking to a chained zombie. Look for a chest next to them and open it up to find the first treasure map. Opening the chest will likely cause the man to turn hostile and attack you.

  • Make it to wave 15 in Undead Overrun Gametype in Multiplayer.

    GLITCHED

There are at least 2 glitches that can affect this game mode, which in turn will lock you out of the trophy until you start a new match:

1: Kills not being added to the kill bar.
2: Either no enemies spawn or only one spawns at a time, thus making it impossible to fill the bar in time.

Overrun can be started in a Private lobby by selecting "Overrun" from the main menu and inviting 3 friends to join you. This trophy is impossible with just 2 as you will be unable to get much beyond Wave 8, due to the zombies becoming too hard to kill and you having too little time to fill up the kill bar. Once the match starts, you will have a timer and a bar at the top of the screen that you need to fill before the timer expires. Your objectives are to kill zombies but see below for some tips on how to survive.

    Tips:

    • Use bait and dynamite wisely. Throw some Undead Bait, then lob some dynamite at the horde of zombies that will surround it. This will ensure quick kills.

    • Holy Water - Be very careful with this, because it places a marker for a powerful lightning attack. Very useful in taking out high numbers of zombies, especially if you are being chased by a horde.

    • Stick together but within reason, if you're too close together you and your partner will get swarmed easily and quickly, do not split up, keep a safe distance. If someone goes down, they can be easily revived. Make sure to use bait to lure zombies away from your fallen teammate so you don't go down as well.

    • Try and get to all of the coffins as early as possible as they will add time and ammo but the extra supplies will not carry over to the next round. Each coffin adds 60 seconds to the current round.

    • You do not need to aim for headshots as any body shots will put a zombie down.

    • Be careful of the Bruisers as they will knock you to the ground when you are too close to them, also the Bolters are very fast and can be rather hard to kill if they get too close to you.

    • Use Deadeye to thin out the zombies.

Once you have reached Wave 15, the trophy will unlock.

  • Fight off 8 unique players during your time on top during Land Grab in Multiplayer Free Roam.

    Land Grab locations:

    - Armadillo
    - Black Water
    - Chuparosa
    - Escalera
    - Las Hermanas
    - Thieves Landing
    - Mac Farlane's Ranch

Although this trophy can be achieved without boosting, I strongly recommend against it as not everyone will choose to challenge you and the server issues mean it will be an exercise in futility.

Start a Private Match and invite your friends from there. Do note that you need 8 different players to join your game but no-one must be in a posse, else the trophy won't pop. When all 9 players are ready, start a match on Thieves Landing as that one seems to be the easiest and quickest. Once the match starts, you need to claim the land and kill 8 different players before the timer expires but you must not die or allow anyone else to come near the land you have taken control of whilst you're on top during the Land Grab. An easy way of killing 8 players quickly is to get everyone to huddle together and then have the person who is going for the trophy, lob Dynamite or a Fire Bottle into the group and kill everyone at once. Doing this will speed up the process and allow others to get the trophy in the same game if need be. You do not need to win the Land Grab.

If you have enough time to allow another player to get the trophy, the next person has to kill the Landholder to claim the land. After the time ends, you need to move to a new location so the next person can get the trophy. Usually, 2-3 people can get the trophy per location. Credit to Blaze Naruto Shippuden for this info.

Once you have killed the 8th unique player, the trophy will unlock.

  • Find and break a unicorn.

    MISSABLE and GLITCHED

Warning: Failing to break Famine during your first encounter with him, will cause the Unicorn to not spawn and thus will lock you out of this trophy.

You need to complete Undead Hunter Rank 1-5 and Four Horses of the Apocalypse Rank 1-5 to spawn the Unicorn, which can be found near Diez Coronas and Torquemada but specifically you need search the area of the map which has a picture of 3 horses on it. The Unicorn is similar to the Hungarian Half-Breed from a distance and will have a rainbow and butterflies emanate from it. You need to be very vigilant as you will not get a notification of when the Unicorn is nearby. Lasso the Unicorn, then break it in the usual way and the trophy will pop.

  • Find and kill a chupacabra.

    MISSABLE and GLITCHED

Warning: Failing to break Famine during your first encounter with him, will cause the Chupacabra to not spawn and thus will lock you out of this trophy. Also note that the Chupacabra can potentially be a one-time-spawn, which makes this trophy very missable if you screw up and fail to kill the creature when it first appears. If it does spawn and you failed to kill it, press the button and quit to the XMB so you can then reload the game for another attempt. There have also been confirmed reports of this creature not spawning if you use a Blood Pact Horse.

The Chupacabra, won't appear until you have completed Rank 4 of the Undead Hunter challenge but can be found in Mexico: Chuparosa, South Perdido, South Sepulcro or Casa Madrugada. Once you are in the vicinity of the Chupacabra, you will see a notification telling you that a mythical creature is in the area. When you see the creature, make sure to kill it during your first encounter as it may not reappear again.

  • Find and kill a sasquatch.

Sasquatches can be found in the Tall Trees area after starting the side mission called "Birth of the Conservation Movement" where you will be tasked with killing 6 Sasquatches. Go to the Tall Trees area of the map and enter the spot that is marked by a green question mark, which will then change to a large green circle if a Sasquatch is nearby. These creatures will usually run away from you but at least one shot close range will kill him and pop the trophy.

You don't have to kill all 6 Sasquatches, since you will be given the option to either kill or ignore the final one.
