ROADMAP

1) Play through the game once, collecting all the Skull Teethes

For your first step, simply play through the game at your own pace. The platforming is great fun, and although the difficulty of it increases as you progress, it really isn't that bad. Play at your own pace, and try to familiarize yourself with the controls and even the levels. You'll be replaying the levels quite a lot described in step 2.

Although there isn't online co-op to those of you that prefer it, there is offline local couch co-op. So if possible, we highly recommend you play this game with a friend or two; it makes this already great game even more fun.

Trophies are all rather relatively straightforward. There are six story related trophies, which you'll automatically earn as you play through the game. There are also collectible trophies, for finding the Hidden Cages, collecting Skull Teethes, doing speed runs, and so on. For the purpose of your first playthrough, grab all the Skull Teethes as you'll more than likely satisfy the Electoon requirements to open up those stages. You should be able to nab at least a few of these collectible trophies before you beat the game for the first time. As for the miscellaneous or skill related trophies, you will most likely earn them without knowing it anyways. Therefore, just enjoy the game and play at your own pace.

2) Replay each level for the Time Trials and completing their Medallions

After you beat the game, now would be the time to go back to each level, and do the Time Trials. Each Time Trial as two specified times you need to beat. The first and easier time, will reward you with an Electoon; the second specified and much harder time, will reward you a speed trophy.

3) Clean Up

Although very unlikely, if you still have a few miscellaneous trophies that for some reason you still haven't got, now would be the time to do so.

  • You found 10 hidden cages.

See “Dr. Lividstone, I presume?” for details.

  • You found 25 hidden cages.

See “Dr. Lividstone, I presume?” for details.

  • You found ALL hidden cages.

Hidden cages can be found throughout each of the game’s level. There are three cages throughout each level, two that are hidden and one at the end of a level.

As the cage at the end of a level is a given and the fact that you need to break it to finish the level, this trophy refers to the two hidden cages. These hidden cages are found hidden behind cave entrances, which are located in slightly hidden but not really areas throughout each level. Once you’ve found one, you will need to defeat all the enemies in the hidden room in order to get rid of the force field around the cage. Destroying a cage is simple, you can either destroy them by attacking them with , or perform a ground pound to destroy them in one hit.

If you are having trouble finding a secret area, although not very loud, when you’re in the vicinity of one, if you pay attention enough you could hear their cries for help. A great way to keep track of which hidden cage you’re missing, is to look at the medallion for each level.

  • Earned 5 speed trophies!

    See “Nitro!” for more details

  • Earned 15 speed trophies!

    See “Nitro!” for more details

  • Earned ALL speed trophies!

Each level has a Time Trial objective that appears after you have completed it once. There are two target times you will need to beat:

    - The easier target time, an Electoon is rewarded for beating it
    - The second much harder one, a Speed Trophy is rewarded for beating it

Therefore, you will need to beat both target times to earn yourself these respective trophies.

To start a Time Trial, simply hit it with or . The idea is to run through each level as fast as you can, and make it to the finish line that's located near the end of the level. Keep in mind that there are no checkpoints, so if you die, you will restart all the way at the very beginning. The Trials aren't overly difficult, and with trial and error and some practice, you should have no problems finishing them.

    Tips:

    • Hold or to sprint. It is in your best interest to keep it held down for the majority of the trial
    • How high and how far you jump depends on how hard and long you press the button. Keep that in mind during the jumping sections.
    • When you're in the air, you can perform a dive by . Ignorable yes, but knowing when to perform it can shave off those extra seconds.
    • Only glide when necessary, as this will only slow you down.
    • Grab heart containers if they're on the way. That way, you won't have to worry about getting hit.

  • Completed 10 Medallions.

    See “Electoon Legend” for details.

  • Completed 25 Medallions.

    See “Electoon Legend” for details.

  • Completed ALL Medallions.

As you may have noticed, each level has a medal that shows your progress for each level; how many cages you’ve found and how many Electoons you’ve been awarded for collecting a certain number of Lums. These are the medallions:

Fortunately, trophy wise, this is easier than it sounds. A completed medallion, simply means you have to collect all the Electoons in a level; earning the Gold Ribbon for collecting 350 Lums does not count. Simply find and destroy all cages in a level, unlock the Electoon(s) by collecting the required number of Lums, and complete a basic time trial to complete a level’s medallion.

If you do not wish to go through each level and complete each medallion, you can abuse the following exploit (credit to Mohannad88):

I found a trophy exploit in the game, if you complete the same Medallion more than once it will count as more than one Medallion as long as it isn't saved, how?

You play any level for the 1st time, LEAVE the 1st hidden cage and get all other Electoons (2nd hidden cage, 150, 300, Time attack, final cage in the level), let it save then replay the level, now go get the 1st hidden cage and you will get the final electoon, now Pause the game, and chose "restart level", now again you will find the same 1st hidden cage and and you will see the Medallion completed again, do this 8 more times and the "Electoon Friend" Trophy will pop, do it after that 15 more times and the "Electoon Hero" trophy will pop, I tested those 2 my self and the exploit works perfectly on both PS3 and PSVita versions.

    Cheers.

  • Earned 1 Skull Tooth.

    See “The Jaw!” for details.

  • Earned 5 Skull Teeth.

    See “The Jaw!” for details.

  • Earned ALL Skull Teeth.

Each world has a skull tooth, a total of 10, that you can collect. To unlock the level that holds a skull tooth, you will need to obtain a certain number of Electoons, depending on which world you’re in.

To earn yourself a skull tooth, you basically have to complete a chase level that consists of you chasing a treasure chest through a platforming gauntlet of sorts. Your platforming skills will be put to test, but they are luckily not that hard, especially through trial and error. Mimic the chest's actions exactly, when to jump and when not to jump. As mentioned before, how hard and long you press the will affect how far and long you jump. Avoid hovering if you can as this will slow you down, and through trial and error, you shouldn’t have much trouble completing these chase levels.

    • Jibberish Jungle - 25 Electoons
    • Desert of Dijiridoos - 45 Electoons
    • Gourmand Land - 70 Electoons
    • Sea of Serendipity - 90 Electoons
    • Mystical Pique - 110 Electoons
    • Ticklish Temples - 130 Electoons
    • Grumbling Grottos - 145 Electoons
    • Luscious Lakes - 160 Electoons
    • Angsty Abyss - 175 Electoons
    • Moody Clouds - 200 Electoons
  • Popped 50 Enemy Bubbles.

Almost every enemy you face throughout the game, can be turned into bubbles. To turn one into bubbles, simply jump on top of them Mario style, or attack with or and they’ll expand into bubble form. Hitting them again, will pop them. Turning them into a bubble will reward you with one Lum, and popping them will reward you with another.

You will most likely earn this trophy naturally. Kill 50 enemies using this method, and the trophy will unlock.

  • Chain-Bubblized 4 Enemies.

Pretty much the same way as “Pop! Pop! BOOM!”, to unlock this trophy you need to turn 4 enemies into bubbled form in a row without touching the ground to unlock this trophy.

You will earn this trophy naturally through the course of playing trough the game anyways, but if you want to get this trophy out of the way quickly, Second World, Second Stage. Two chances, one at the first hidden cage, another at the end of the level.

  • Replayed any completed map.

Ridiculously easy trophy. Just replay any level you have completed once, and complete it a second time all the way towards the end. Upon completion, the trophy will pop.

You’ll be replaying a lot of levels anyways during clean up, so will probably unlock this trophy without knowing it.

  • Completed a level without taking a hit!

Another easy trophy, complete a level without getting hit to earn this trophy.

This is easiest done on one of the rainbow bridge levels where you are traveling to a new area; they are in the later part of each world. These levels are easy since they are short and they contain little or no enemies.

  • Inhaled 50 things on Moskito-back.

You will ride a Moskito-back, at the end of each world, as well as during certain Hidden Cage sequences. While on a Moskito-back, you can suck in objects with them by holding either or to inhale an enemy. Inhale 50 enemies or objects, and the trophy will pop.

Inhaling enemies and firing them back more enemies at once than your regular fire anyways, so you will most likely unlock this trophy naturally. Note that this trophy is cumulative, so you don't need to do it all in one level.

  • Saved ALL Darktooned Wizards in 'Port 'O Panic'.

"Port 'O Panic" is the first level in the fourth world, Sea of Serendipity.

Throughout this level you will see lots of orange characters running around with small, black, round enemies attached to their heads. These are the Darktooned Wizards. Simply smack them with your fists, perform a ground smash, etc., to knock the enemy off their heads and save the wizard. As they aren't very out of the way, remain vigilant throughout the level and you shouldn't have much trouble finding them. Refer to the video if you would prefer for their locations.

  • Played an Unlocked Character in any map.

As you progress and collect “Electoons”, you will unlock new characters and skins, you will be notified in game each time this happens. These can be accessed from the Snoring Tree. Just travel back there from the world map and jump into one of the character bubbles to change character, then complete any level.

For those of you that are interested, here's a list of all the unlockable characters (sadly, we can't play as any of the Nymphs):

    • Globox Rayman
    • Red Globox
    • Teensy Ray
    • Teensy Globox
    • Teensy Princess
    • Teensy Wizard
    • Teensy King
    • Teensy Ninja
    • Teensy Treasure
    • First Grand Minimus Teensy
    • Evil Rayman
    • Evil Globox
  • One hour of flight time!

You unlock the ability to glide, after saving the fairy in the second world, Desert of Dijiridoos. The hour of flight time for this trophy, is cumulative, meaning you do not have to be gliding for an hour at once.

As you'll be making use of this ability just by playing through the game anyways, you should have no problem getting this trophy through normal play. If you wish to get this trophy over with right away, load up the level "Wind or Lose" and make your way through the level till you hit one of those windy areas. Once there, simply activate glide, and hold down (or tape down) the button, and leave the game idle for an hour.

  • Crushed 50 Enemies.

    Crush = , +

Performing a crush has the same effect on enemies if you were to jump on them; you turn enemies into bubbles. Where as jumping on a bubblize enemy will pop them, performing another crush attack on them will squash them flat. As with the trophy description, simply perform the crush attack on 50 enemies to unlock it.

You'll unlock this naturally through the course of play enemies, as the crush attack not only allows you to dive downwards during platforming faster, but its also a very useful technique in killing multiple enemies at once, provided they're underneath you.

  • Simultaneously crushed 4 enemies.

As with "Crusher", you'll need to perform the crush attack. For this trophy requirement however, you must perform a single crush attacks on 4 enemies before hitting the ground.

Your first chance at this, is in the level is in the fifth world Mystical Pique's level, Golly G. Golem. Simply make your way towards the first Hidden Cage room, and the opportunity basically provides itself. If you're not going for the Hidden Cages, you'll come across multiple chances throughout the game that pits you against 4 enemies at once that are beneath you anyways.

  • Sprinted a Marathon!

Sprint = , or any of the trigger buttons

Confusing as the title of this trophy may be, there is no "marathon" in the game. What the trophy is referring to, is how much time you've spent sprinting throughout the game. Unfortunately, there's no way to track this, we're going to assume this game refers to the actual distance of a real life marathon, which is around 26.2 miles.

You will most likely get this just by playing the game anyways, as you'll be sprinting throughout the game a lot, especially during the Time Trials. If for some reason by the end of everything you still don't have this trophy, pick a stage with a relatively long piece of flat land, and just run back and forth.

  • Swam a Marathon!

You unlock the ability to swim in the fifth world, Sea of Serendipity.

Exactly the same as "Sprinter!", only instead of running, this trophy requires you to swim a total distance of a "marathon".

By swimming, we mean diving in the water, swimming. Doggy paddling on the top of water does not count. As you'll be replaying the levels in the Sea of Serendipity for Electoons and and Time Trials, you will again, unlock this trophy naturally.

  • Perform a swipe-to-air Kick Combo!

To perform this "swipe-to-air Kick combo:

    1. Face an enemy and +
    2. The enemy will fly into the air, so quickly jump with
    3. Quickly perform a kick in the air with

If you did this fast enough, you will send the enemy flying through air, in addition to unlocking your trophy.

  • Sprinted for an Entire Level!

They don't actually expect you to finish a level only by sprinting, and nothing else. The trophy simply requires you to have (or any of the trigger buttons) held down for an entire level.

This trophy can easily be done on any of the rainbow road levels, such as the level "Over the Rainbow" in the first world. Note that you cannot die, and you must have sprint held down the entire time, including cutscenes until you get to the results screen where your Lums are tallied up. Otherwise, the trophy will not unlock.

  • Bounce-Bubblized 11 Enemies without landing in 'Polar Pursuit!'

During this level, not far from the start, there is section over some water where the large round black enemies come towards you one by one. There are a total of 11 in the line and you need to jump on each of them in turn without falling off, use glide to adjust your positioning as you go if needed. It's near the start of the level so if you fail it's not far to try again.

  • Beat the Giant Eel within 60 Seconds in 'Aim for the Eel.'

You fight this Giant Eel, at the end of the fourth world, Gourmand Land. After some side scrolling, you'll face the Giant Eel at the end of this level. His weakpoints are the light bulbs located on both his sides, as well as its tail. Every time you destroying a part of his tail, he'll get increasingly smaller.

Destroy every light bulb on his body in under 60 seconds, and the trophy will unlock. The Giant Eel has no means of attacking except for swerving around the screen, so you really shouldn't have much trouble.

  • Survived a Piranha Pond without a scratch!

Piranha ponds are the red pools of water located throughout the game. They contain piranhas that will follow you around and if you dive in the pool, they will instantly attack.

For this trophy, all you need to do is get in and out of one of these ponds without taking any damage. Very straightforward.

For an even easier time, you can also do this trophy with two controllers:

I have an easy way to get the survivor trophy if your alone you need 2 controllers have the second player stand on the edge before a pond the piranhas will be distracted by the second player then have the first player simply jump in and out of the pond without a scratch the piranhas should not attack the first player as they are trying to get at the second player that's how I got that trophy.

  • You Bubblized a Hunter with his own live missile!

You will encounter enemies known as a Hunter. These enemies attack by shooting red homing missiles at you. To earn this trophy, simply lure him into shooting a missile, and then quickly jumping back towards him so the missiles redirect at the Hunter. Do this successfully, and the missile will hit him, bubblizing the Hunter as a result and unlocking you the trophy. An easy level to do this is "Outta My Way" in Ticklish Temples.

Secret trophies

  • Ding, Dong, the Livid Boss is Dead!

Each world in the game has a skull tooth level which you need to complete in order to collect the 10 skull teeth in the game, see "The Jaw!". Once you collect all 10 you unlock a bonus level that can be accessed from the Snoring Tree.

This is the hardest level in the game, and will likely take many attempts to get through each section. At the end of the level is a boss fight and finishing the level will get you this trophy. See below for a video of the level.
