Roadmap:

Introduction:

Welcome to Quiplash, a new multiplayer party game by Jackbox Games, the same company that previously released Fibbage and The Jackbox Party pack.

Similar to the last games, this game is played solely through browsers on any internet connected devices. The trophy list is also much easier than the previous releases, as if you are lucky, all trophies can be easily earned in one game.

Walkthrough:

This is set up as a walkthrough on what to do to get all the trophies in (hopefully) one single game of Quiplash.

Step 1: Play one full 8 player +1 game to (hopefully) earn all trophies

Your first step before starting the game will be to download either Firefox or Chrome and install the Multifox or Multilogin plugins on a PC. This will make it so that you are able to run all 9 necessary players from 1 browser on a PC. You can download Firefox here and the Multifox extension here. You can download Chrome here and the Multilogin extension here. If you aren’t able to do this, you can also use a mobile device that allows you to run apps in the background and download multiple free browser apps. This will make the process much more difficult though so using a PC is recommended.

Before Starting the Game

Now that you have yourself set up to have multiple users on your preferred device, you need to set up all the users required for the game. On the main game screen after you choose “Play Game”, it will show you a 4 character room code that it tells you to enter at jackbox.tv. You will need to go to this website on all your users and enter the room code in the first blank. In the second blank, for the first profile put something along the lines of "Winner", so you know which player you are going to set winning questions with. The next seven users should be some variation of "Dummy1, Dummy2, etc" just so you are aware of them being dummy players, then add one more player named "Audience".

Round 1

Both first rounds you will basically do the same thing. As soon as the timer starts, you can pause the game to stop the timer and check everyone’s questions. If any of the questions listed in the Quip Pro Quo Guide show up for any players, then put the listed answer in for one of the players. If this shows up on one of your Winner's questions then put it in; if not, put the first answer as "Meatloaf Candy" then the second one as “Pick Me” so you know to pick those. If no other of the dummy accounts have the listed questions, just put the same answer for every single question. This makes it so they always Jink each other and you don’t have to watch for voting.

Once the voting starts, when your Winner user’s questions show up, always have everyone vote for those answers (Meatloaf Candy, Pick Me, or QPQ answer). If any of the dummy account answers show up with the QPQ answer, have all accounts vote for that answer. Make sure to have the "Audience" account vote for one of the answers for the Sitting Ovation trophy.

In this round you will earn:
Give It The Fingers
Quip It Good
Eighters Gonna Eight
Hi, Jinx!
The Titular Trophy
Sitting Ovation
Meatloaf Candy

Round 2

In this round, you will do the exact same thing as the last round, though you can ignore the Audience user now if you wish. Check everyone’s questions for QPQ questions, and if no one has them, enter the same answers for all the Dummy accounts and "Pick Me" for both answers for the Winner account, then have all accounts pick the "Pick Me" answers.

In this round you will earn:
Quipee-ki-yay!

Round 3

This round is slightly different from the last rounds, as it will be one question that is the same for everyone. This round, you just need to have the Winner account enter "Pick Me" for an answer, then every other account enter random answers. When voting, have every account place all three of their available votes on the "Pick Me" answer so that the Winner account receives over 70% of the votes.

In this round you will earn:
He Who Lashes Last…

Step 2: Play partial rounds for Quip Pro Quo

If you didn’t receive a question from the listed answers for Quip Pro Quo, then after the last game ends, choose to play with the same players and start the game again. Check through all the available questions and if you don’t have a question that has an answer listed in the guide, quit back to the main menu and start a new game with 8 players. You will just need to enter the new room code in each player’s window to start again. Leave all 8 players in so that you have the most number of questions showing up. If you get one that is the proper answer, answer with the proper answer then have all other accounts answer the same, then have them all vote for the proper answer when it shows up.

In this step you can earn:
Quip Pro Quo

10 trophies ( 5  )

  • Successfully enter both your quips in a round

This trophy is earned by having one player enter both of their answers in one round. That’s all you need to do. The trophy will be awarded after the first person enters both their answers.

  • Win both battles in a round

This trophy is earned by having a player win both questions they answered by having the majority of the players vote for them. This can be either a Quiplash or any sort of vote split that isn’t a tie. The trophy will be awarded after their second win in round 1.

  • Win all battles in Rounds 1 and 2

This trophy is earned in the same way as Quip It Good, except a player has to win all four questions that they answer across both round 1 and 2. While going for this, make sure you answer the questions in a way so that you know which answers to pick to have one player win all the time. The trophy will be awarded after their second win in round 2.

  • Play an 8-player game

This trophy is earned by starting a game while 8 players are in the game. You don't need to finish the game with 8 players if you don’t want as the trophy is awarded as soon as the game is started, but be aware you still need at least 5 people for The Titular Trophy and 4 for He Who Lashes Last….

  • Enter the same thing as your opponent

This trophy is awarded by having two players enter the exact same answer on a question they are paired up on. When this occurs and the question comes up for voting, it will show JINX in the top corners of the answer windows and both players will be awarded 0 points for the question. The trophy will be awarded the first time this occurs with two players.

  • Get a Quiplash! (sweep votes in a 5+-player game)

This trophy is awarded for having a player receive a Quiplash in a game. A Quiplash occurs when all players vote for one player’s answer in a round when there are at least 5 players in a game. Because of the required number of players, it is recommended you do this in the game you start with 8 players.

  • Get 70% or more of the votes in The Last Lash

This trophy is awarded by having one player earn at least 70% of the available votes during round 3 of a game, which is called The Last Lash. This round everyone gives a response to the same question then have three votes to distribute to whichever answer or answers they liked best. To be able to have a 70% split for one player, you must have at least 4 players in the game and have three players all vote for the same answer (so votes are split 9/3 for 75% on one answer). Because of the player requirement, it is recommended you do this in the 8 player game you start.

  • Play a game with an Audience

This trophy is earned by having someone who is playing as the audience cast an audience vote on a question. To have audience members, you need to already have a full game with 8 players and then add one more person, so that they are added as part of the audience. The audience member then has to cast a vote on a question when it appears to add an audience vote. Once a question ends where an audience member has voted, the trophy will be awarded. Because of the player requirement, it is recommended you do this in the first 8 player game you start.

  • Write a quip that Schmitty actually responds to

This trophy is awarded by inputting an answer to a question that Schmitty responds to after awarding points. This is the only really difficult trophy in the game, as there is no way to know the proper answer to the questions other than guessing or checking a guide. Currently, you can view the following guide by Maka on xboxachievements.com for a list of questions with known answers: Quip Pro Quo Guide.

If you don’t receive any of the appropriate answers that you know the solutions to during you full 8 player game, the fastest way to get the most questions is to start an 8 player game, then just check the first assortment that it gives you for listed questions. If you don’t get one, just quit the game and start a new 8 player game.

  • Write "meatloaf candy" and win a battle with it

This trophy is awarded by having a player win a round by entering the phrase “Meatloaf Candy” and then having enough people vote for it to win the round. Nothing else is required and this can be done on any player, and will count as long as the vote split is anything above a tie.
