Introduction:

Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare strays away from the traditional Plants Vs. Zombies formula and transforms it into a third person shooter COD style game. In the end it’s a surprisingly original refreshing take on the shooter genre that will keep you addicted for plenty of hours. If you aren’t into the 3rd person shooters then you can check out Garden Ops, similar to the original game you defend your Garden from waves of Zombies. With 4 difficulties of Garden Ops and plenty of MP modes you'll be busy for quite awhile.

Step 1: Multiplayer

I recommend playing Multiplayer first so you can get a feel for the game and can start to rack up coins and start being able to buy packs so you can unlock weapon upgrades, abilities and most importantly Skip Challenge stars. I recommend sticking to the 20,000 and 30,000 packs as they give you a combination of skip challenges, weapon upgrades etc. I recommend trying to gather around 50 skip challenge stars, that way you can skip the challenges of the characters you don't like playing as and any hard challenges that you will more than likely encounter.

Step 2: Garden Ops

Now that you have a feel for the controls and have some upgrades you can move onto Garden Ops. You should start off playing on easy so you get used to the mode and then move onto Crazy when you feel ready.

Step 3: Clean Up

Now is the time to clear up any remaining trophies that you may have including the character specific trophies and get 25 wins in Gardens and Graveyards and Team Vanquish. After you've unlocked your final trophy you will have your shiny new Platinum Trophy. Congratulations!

Skip Challenge Stars: Skip Challenge Stars are your best friend in this game and should be saved for the later levels, 4+ and more for when you are really close to rank 50 and want to get there faster. You get skip challenge stars most frequently from the 20,000 and 30,000 packs but they can also be gotten from the 10,000 or even 5,000 they are just much rarer. Unfortunately it is random when you get the packs so you just have to keep buying them. Now you can actually buy packs of coins in the following denominations: 13,500 coins for .99 USD, 30,000 coins for 1.99 USD, 85,000 coins for 4.99 USD and 200,000 coins for 9.99 USD. You should only use your skip challenge stars either when you are having really trouble completing a challenge or if you really don't like playing as a certain character. I used approximately 50 skip challenges to get my Platinum so I recommend trying to get at least that many but more is always better.

Boosting: It is also possible to boost a number of the trophies in the game by heading to a secluded corner and killing one another etc. so if you need or want a boosting partner, then head here: LINK

Making Popcorn

As a Cactus, Vanquish 10 Players with the Drone's Corn Strike
To unlock the drone strike you must first unlock the Cactus Drone, all abilities are unlocked when a character reaches level 3. The Cactus Drone ability has the Corn Strike. After you launch the drone the corn strike is the button again. One of the easiest places to get corn strike kills in Gardens and Graveyards when enemies are capturing or depending the points, this must be done in MP and cannot be done against the A.I.
Snaretastic

As a Chomper, Swallow 10 Snared Zombies in a session

The Spikeweed snare is unlocked when you reach level 3, this can be done against A.I zombies in Garden Ops or in MP but I recommend doing it in Garden Ops on easy. Start the game and place Spikeweeds in the zombies paths and once they get caught, eat them. Do this 10 times and the trophy is yours.
Split Pea Zombie Soup

As a Peashooter, vanquish 10 Players with the Pea Gatling in a session
The Pea Gatling ability is unlocked at level 3. This is best done is Gardens and Graveyards as the matches are usually longer than Vanquishes or Gnome Bomb matches. Set up near the capture points and you should be able to get this by the end of the match. Note that this must be done in MP and cannot be done in Garden Ops against the A.I.
Stuck on You

As a Scientist, Vanquish 10 Players with the Sticky Explody Ball
The Sticky Explody Ball is unlocked once you get to level 3, it's a mine that you can throw that detonates when an enemy gets close to it. This can be a little difficult as it usually takes 2 or more to kill an enemy and you can only carry two. Try to weaken an enemy first by shooting them and then throw a mine at them. A good time to try this is when the Peashooters and Sunflowers are using their turret abilities. Note that this must be done in MP and cannot be done in Garden Ops.
Garden Dioxide

As a Soldier, Vanquish 2 Players using a single ZPG strike
The ZPG, basically just an RPG, is unlocked once you get to level 3. This is a little luck based as you have to have 2 enemies standing fairly close together to achieve this but its doable. Your best bet is to play Garden and Graveyards and shoot rockets into the capture points, people usually are cluttered together so you should be able to get two or three together. Note that this must be done in MP and cannot be done in Garden Ops.

Just so you know, Garden Dioxide (kill 2 enemies with a ZPG) can be done with potted plants. I killed a chomper and his potted plant friend and I got the trophy.

Sun Heals

As a Sunflower, Heal Teammates 25 times using the Heal Beam in a session
The heal ability, , unlocks when you reach level two. This is best done in Gardens and Graveyards as the matches are usually longer and are more chaotic allowing you to heal teammates more often. Once you heal 25 teammates the trophy will pop. Note that this can also be done in Garden Ops if you choose to go that route.
Offensive Line

As an All-Star, Vanquish 5 Players using the Sprint Tackle in a session
The Sprint Tackle ability unlocks once you reach level 2. The sprint tackle does not kill a full health enemy so you should weaken an enemy first by shooting them and then sprint tackle them to finish them off. This is very do able in both Gardens and Graveyards and Team Vanquish modes. Note that you cannot do this in Garden Ops.
The Astral Plane

As an Engineer, Build 3 Teleporters in a session of Gardens & Graveyards
Just like the trophy says, you must build three Teleporters in a game of Gardens and Graveyards. The Teleporter location is displayed on screen as a purple wrench, there are more than 3 per game so as long as you move up quickly you should have no problem building three. Rebuilding a turret that you've previously built after it has been destroyed, does count for this trophy.
Zombie Defense

As an Engineer, Build 3 Zombot Turrets in a session of Gardens & Graveyards
In the same locations as the Teleporters are three flashing yellow graves where you can build turrets, every Teleporter has three around it. You should have no problem getting three in one game as most teams do not attempt to stop you from building the Teleporter.
Jackhammer Rush

As an Engineer, Vanquish 10 Players while riding the Jackhammer
The Jackhammer ability is unlocked when you reach level 3, the Jackhammer allows you to destroy objects as well as move faster. To get this trophy you must shoot enemies while riding the Jackhammer, try to shoot an enemy a few times then ride the jackhammer and finish them off. Note that this has to be done in MP and cannot be done in Garden Ops, this does not have to be done in one game either.
Challenge Accepted

Reach Level 10 with any Character
To level up you must complete the challenges the game gives you. The earlier level challenges are easier and take little to no effort to complete but the later level challenges can be difficult. The easiest way to do this is to find a character that you like and feel most comfortable playing as and keep playing, any challenges that you find yourself unable to complete you can use skip challenge stars to auto complete.

It is worth noting for the plants that unless a challenge says do something to a player, then it can probably be done in Garden Ops solo. Doing that makes the challenge very easy to complete in Garden Ops on easy difficulty, which in turn allows you to save your skip challenge stars for harder challenges and level up quicker. Just be sure to not play on maps with pirate zombies as they don't count, Sharkbite Shores or Port Scallywag.
Going Strong

Reach Rank 50

Every time one of your character grows a level, you go up one rank. You will have to get every character to level 5 and one to 10 so you will be in the high 30s/early 40s just for level up your characters. The best and easiest way to do this is to use your Skip challenge stars to gain easy levels but you should only use them on the harder challenges and just complete the easy challenges. I used about 50 skip challenge stars throughout the course of the game, just be sure to use all the skip challenges before you get to rank 50 so you don't waste time.

It is worth noting for the plants that unless a challenge says do something to a player, then it can probably be done in Garden Ops solo. Doing that makes the challenge very easy to complete in Garden Ops on easy difficulty, which in turn allows you to save your skip challenge stars for harder challenges and level up quicker. Zombot Removal

As a Plant, Destroy 10 Zombot Turrets in Gardens & Graveyards
Zombot turrets are built by the Engineers, there are three around each teleporter. There are a few levels that give good vantage points so you can take out the turrets from far away or if you prefer, you can run in and destroy them up close. This does not have to be done in one game, you can get one per game over a course of 10 games and the trophy will pop.
No Teleporting Allowed

As a Plant, Destroy a Teleporter in Gardens & Graveyards
Each capture point has a Teleporter around it that the zombies can travel through, you'll usually know where it is because you will see a stream of zombies running from it. The Teleporters are usually to the right or left of the capture points. Once you destroy a Teleporter, the trophy will unlock.
Plant Perfect

As a Plant, Achieve a Perfect Win in Gardens & Graveyards
A perfect win for a plant is when you have successfully defended all capture points, the Zombies haven't captured a single point. You will know you've done it because during the coin tally it will say perfect win. Do your best to defend the points and attempt to keep the zombies out, be sure to set up some potted plants to help out and any other defenses you may have, potato mines etc. Also do your best to keep the zombies from building the teleporters as it can be hard to keep the zombies out when they are that close. If you are playing as zombies and you haven't captured a point yet, it is possible to switch teams, if there is room and still obtain the trophy. To switch teams: When you die, go to change character and then hit to switch over to zombies.
Rocket Man

Vanquish 10 Players and 10 Plant Pots with the Soldier's ZPG
The ZPG is unlocked when you reach level 3.You should have no problem killing 10 enemies, hit them directly with a rocket and they will die most of the time. Potted plants can be found in two places, in Gardens and Graveyards potted plants will be set up around the capture points. The second way they appear is when the sunflowers uses its plant heal ability, both potted plants count towards the 10. Once you have killed 10 of each the trophy will pop.
Zombie Vanquished

As a Plant, Vanquish a Player in any Competitive Mode
Very simple trophy, simply choose any MP game mode and play as Plant, you can hit to switch sides if you aren’t. Once you kill your first zombie the trophy will pop.
Garden Weeder

As a Zombie, Capture an Objective in Gardens & Graveyards
Another simple trophy to obtain, choose Gardens and Graveyards and play as a Zombie. To obtain this trophy you must capture a point from the plants, you must be physically on the point for the trophy to unlock.
Plant Vanquished

As a Zombie, Vanquish a Player in any Competitive Mode
This is a very simple trophy. Simply choose any MP game mode and play as Zombie, you can hit to switch sides if you aren't. Once you kill your first Plant, the trophy will pop.
Garden Tour

Be on the Winning Team for 25 matches of Gardens & Graveyards

This is a pretty simple trophy, all you have to do is win 25 games of Gardens and Graveyards. To win as a plant you must stop the zombies from capturing all the points, it's okay if they capture some as long as they don't capture them all. To win as a Zombie you must capture all the points, if you capture five but fail the last one then you lose. Its usually easy to win as a Plant but a good team can win as the Zombies using teamwork. It is also possible, if your team is losing and there is room, to switch over to the winning team right before the game ends and have the game count towards your win total. To switch when you die, press to change characters then to switch sides.
TVM Veteran

Be on the Winning Team for 25 matches of Team Vanquish

This is very simple, just play and win 25 matches of Team Vanquish. Play as a team and choose a character that will complement the rest of your team and this trophy will come with time. It is also possible, if your team is losing and there is room, to switch over to the winning team right before the game ends and have the game count towards your win total. To switch when you die, press to change characters then to switch sides.
Garden Crazy

Complete a Garden Ops match on Crazy Difficulty

Crazy mode is the hardest difficulty in the game and will take teamwork to achieve. This trophy is very doable though with a team of 4 working together but with a few tips it becomes easier. The easiest level I found to do this on was Garden Center and to choose the left garden.

1) Save your self revives for the later rounds (8+) and at least one for the escape just in case you go down.
2) Make sure you have some team revives for the later rounds as well since rounds 9 and 10 can get crazy.
3) It's good to have at least one Sunflower to cycle between the other three players and heal you.
4) Save the better potted plants, Fire Peashooter, Bamboo Shoot, Doom Shrooms etc for the later rounds.
5) When you are trying to escape don’t run straight to the escape zone, slowly circle the map and then wait until there is between 30-45 seconds left to run to the zone. Have your Sunflower put out his heal plant and keep healing you until the time runs out. If someone happens to die then be sure to use your self revives.

Once you escape everyone in your team will get the trophy.

An alternate method is to play on Sharkbite Shores and choose the left garden and sit on top of the arch. For a full walkthrough follow the video below:

To unlock this trophy you must first get a Disco Zombie, an afro Zombie in a white suit, in the slots then once you kill him the trophy will pop. Note that it doesn't matter what difficulty you play on but only the person that deals the killing blow gets the trophy.
Gargantuan Task

Vanquish a Gargantuar in Garden Ops Mode
On rounds 5 and 10 a slot machine will choose what kind of Zombies appear in the round. There are a number of different options that could appear. To unlock this trophy you must first get a Gargantuar Zombie, the really big guys, in the slots then once you kill him the trophy will pop. Note that it doesn’t matter what difficulty you play on but only the person that deals the killing blow gets the trophy.
Brain Freeze

Vanquish a Yeti in Garden Ops Mode
On rounds 5 and 10 a slot machine will choose what kind of Zombies appear in the round. There are a number of different options that could appear. To unlock this trophy you must first get a Yeti Zombie, the white monster that throws ice, in the slots then once you kill him the trophy will pop. Note that it doesn't matter what difficulty you play on but only the person that deals the killing blow gets the trophy.
Super Boss

Defeat a Super Boss Wave in Garden Ops Mode
On rounds 5 and 10 a slot machine will choose what kind of Zombies appear in the round. There are a number of different options that could appear. The super wave happens when you get three of the same type of zombie and it will notify you that a super wave is about to begin. I found that it's way easier to get a super wave on normal or hard but you can also get it on Easy. Once you complete the wave, the trophy will pop.
Striking First

Earn a 1st Strike Master Boast 3 times
Each MP game you play you can earn different "boasts" for doing different things. For this one you must get the first kill of the match in three different matches. The peashooter is probably the best plant because you can use his Hyper ability and the Engineer is probably the best Zombie as you can use his Jackhammer ability, both allow you to move faster allowing you to get to and kill an enemy faster.

My tip for the First strike trophy, when you get the opportunity to play Gardens and Graveyards on Zomboss estate as a Peashooter, run for the gate, launch your Chili Bean and this will most likely get you the first kill.

The Healing Touch

Earn a Heal Master Boast 3 times
Each MP game you play you can earn different "boasts" for doing different things. For this one you must heal the most players in the game, the Sunflowers/Scientists have the healing abilities so use either of those and just keep healing players.
Most Valuable Vanquisher

Earn a Vanquish Master Boast 1 time
Each MP game you play you can earn different "boasts" for doing different things. For this one you have to obtain the most kills in the game, choose the character that you like the best and try to get as many kills as possible.
Hang in There

Earn a Revival Master Boast 5 times
Each MP game you play you can earn different "boasts" for doing different things. For this one you must get the most revives in a match 5 times. The Sunflowers and Scientists have the fastest revive times so I recommend using either one of those.
Streak Boaster

Earn a Vanquish Streak Boast 1 time
Each MP game you play you can earn different "boasts" for doing different things. To earn a vanquish streak you must get two or more kills in a single life but to do this you must get the longest streak in a match. It's hard to say what the longest in a match will be but I'd say you would have a pretty good shot with a 5 or higher.
I Helped

Earn an Assist Master Boast 5 times

Each MP game you play you can earn different "boasts" for doing different things. For this one you must earn the most assists in a match 5 times. All you have to do is put a few shots into an enemy and then let someone else on your team finish him off.
Cousins

Grow 5 Plant Pots in a session
This will likely be one of the first trophies you get. Simply join a Garden Ops game and then place and 5 plants in the yellow glowing plant pots. There are more than 5 scattered around your garden point. You can also plant pots in Gardens and Graveyards as well if you play on the plants side.
Grow a Friend

Grow a Plant Pot
This will probably be the first trophy you get, simply load a game of Garden Ops and plant something in one of the pots and the trophy will pop.
Crazy Dave Squad

Reach Level 5 with Every Plant Class
There are 4 different plant classes to use, Pea Shooter, Chomper, Sunflower and Cactus. Each character has challenges that you must complete to level up, the early the level generally the easier the challenges. Overall you should have no trouble getting each character to level 5 with the exception of maybe one or two challenges that you can skip if you get stuck on too long. It is worth noting that unless a challenge says do something to a player then it can probably be done in Garden Ops solo making the challenge very easy to complete on Garden Ops easy mode.
Zomboss Recruit

Reach Level 5 with Every Zombie Class
There are 4 different zombie classes to use, Foot Soldier, Engineer, Scientist and All-Star. Each character has challenges that you must complete to level up, the early the level generally the easier the challenges. Overall you should have no trouble getting each character to level 5, with the exception of maybe one or two challenges that you can skip if you get stuck on for too long.
Hunting Season

Vanquish 100 Soldiers, 100 Scientists, 100 Engineers and 100 All-Stars
This will be very luck based depending on what type of Zombies the opposing team is using. It's more than likely the final kill you will need will be a Scientist or an All-Star, just keep killing Zombies and the trophy will pop for you over time. Note that only kills in MP games count towards this trophy.
Zombie Friends

Summon 5 Zombies in a session of Gardens & Graveyards
While playing as a Zombie in Gardens and Graveyards, you will be able to summon other zombies to help you fight and take over the control points. As you are running around, you'll see yellow graves that you can press circle on and summon zombies. Summon 5 in one game and the trophy will unlock.
I'm Lonely

Summon a Zombie in Gardens & Graveyards
While playing as a Zombie in Gardens and Graveyards, you will be able to summon other zombies to help you fight and take over the control points. As you are running around you will see yellow graves that you can press circle on and summon zombies.
Getting Started

Reach Player Rank 5
Every time you level up a character you rank up so this will come quickly as most of the earlier challenges are incredibly easy to complete.
Consume This

Use 10 Revive Consumables
As you open packs of cards you will obtain self revives and team revives for use in Garden Ops. If you or your team dies then you will have an opportunity to save the team or revive yourself. Revive yourself or your team 10 times and the trophy will unlock.
Consume This Too

Use 10 Skip Challenge Star Consumables
Missable

As you open packs of cards you will obtain Skip Challenge Stars that you can use to skip any challenge you want. I recommend only skipping the ones that you are having trouble with but ultimately it's up to you. Once you have skipped your tenth one the trophy will unlock.

While this trophy is technically missable, there is a max level for each character, it is incredibly unlikely that you will not use ten before hitting the max level. If you are against using the skips for any reason then just be sure to use 10 before hitting level 20 with each character.
Weed Whacker

Vanquish 100 Peashooters, 100 Sunflowers, 100 Chompers and 100 Cacti

This will be very luck based depending on what type of Plants the opposing team is using. It's more than likely the final kill you will need will be a Cactus or a Chomper, just keep killing Plants and the trophy will pop for you over time. Legionnaire of Doom

Grow a Doom-shroom, Bamboo Shoot, Fire Peashooter and Ice Peashooter
As you open packs (specifically the 1,000-10,000 coin packs) you will gain plants that you can use in Gardens and Graveyards and Garden Ops. After obtaining each of the 4 necessary plants simply plant them in a pot and after the last plant is planted the trophy will unlock. Note that you do not have to place all 4 in one game.
Ahoy Matey

Summon a Barrel Pirate and Map Pirate Zombie in Gardens & Graveyards
As you open packs (specifically the 1,000-10,000 coin packs) you will gain plants that you can use in Gardens and Graveyards and Garden Ops. Once you have unlocked one of each play a game of Gardens and Graveyards and head to a flashing yellow grave and summon one of each and the trophy will unlock. Note that you do not have to summon both in one game.
Gnome Bomber

Pick up a Gnome Bomb
This is a very simple trophy, play a game of Gnome Bomb and simply pick up the bomb. You can use the Peashooters hyper ability or the Engineers Jackhammer to get to the bomb faster. If you don’t get it at the beginning of the game after someone plants the bomb it will respawn in the center of the map so simply wait for it in the center and grab it when it spawns. There are a few different places the bomb can spawn but it never spawns far from the center.
Running of the Gnomes

Plant 5 Gnome Bombs
In Gnome Bomb, the objective is to plant the bomb at three locations so all you have to do is enter the circle and the bomb will automatically be planted. This will come naturally over time while you are going for the 15 wins but the easiest way to get plants is to wait in the center of the map for the bomb to spawn and then rush over and plant it. You do not have to get all five in one game.
Defuse the Situation

Defuse 3 Gnome Bombs
In Gnome Bomb the objective is to plant the bomb at three locations. All you have to do is enter the circle and the bomb will automatically be planted, now wait for an enemy to plant the bomb then go and defuse it. Sometimes you will be able to kill the enemy or enemies that plant the bomb and then defuse but other times you can and should try to defuse while your teammates or killing the enemies or while you are being shot at. This will likely come while going for the 15 wins so just keep playing. You do not have to get all three in one game.
Drop That Gnome

Vanquish 10 Enemies while They are Carrying a Gnome Bomb
Another trophy that will likely come as you are going for your 15 wins, simply wait for the enemy to grab the bomb and then kill him. You do not have to get all ten in one game.
Garden Gnomer

Be on the Winning Team for 15 matches of Gnome Bomb
Just as the trophy says, win 15 games of Gnome Bomb and the trophy is yours.
Heave Ho

Vanquish 500 Pirate Zombies

Pirate zombies spawn in two places, Gardens and Graveyards when zombies spawn them, though they rarely do, and Garden Ops mode but only on the Port Scallywag and Sharkbite Shores maps. Obviously your best bet is to play Garden Ops but you should play it with 2 or more players on easy and kill all the pirate zombies you see. By the end of the game you should have killed 75+ pirate zombies, more likely closer to 100+, in 15-30 minutes. After your 5th or 6th game the trophy should unlock.
The Last Second

Defuse a Gnome Bomb with Less Than 3 Seconds Remaining
This is a little luck based but there is a good chance that it will come while going for the 15 wins. It takes about 5 seconds to defuse a bomb so try your best to start defusing with six or seven seconds left and hope that the enemy doesn't kill you before you finish.
Hole In One

Push the Golf-Bomb into the Hole in Cactus Canyon

This is probably the hardest trophy in the game, in my opinion and will take an entire team playing together to unlock this trophy. In Gardens and Graveyards there is a map called Golf course where after taking over the first six Gardens you will arrive at the Golf Course where you have to shoot down a golf ball and then push the golf ball all the way into the hole in under three minutes. Thankfully you have two checkpoints that will give you extra time when you cross them. The hard part is you have to stay next to the golf ball for it to move, you don't have to psychically push it, you just have to be close to it and all whilst 12 enemies are attacking you.

Do your best to shoot enemies that are near and try to keep circling the golf ball to best avoid attacks, shoot down any Cactus Drones in their air and just do your best to keep the golf ball moving at all times. When you finally push the golf ball all the way into the hole the trophy will unlock.
