Planet of the Eyes ~ Platinum Walkthrough (Text/Pictures/Video)

Planet of the Eyes is an Indie Game developed by Cococucumber Inc. that tells the story of a lonely robot stranded on a mysterious planet. The gameplay is more of a puzzle adventure game with some platforming and challenges along the way. There are numerous and gory ways to have your robot die, but the game is more of a trial and error. The checkpoints are forgiving even if you do happen to die a lot from the platforming and challenges. You'll respawn relatively close to where you last were after dying.

Trophy-wise, the game is very short as it can be completed in about 40 minutes if you did a perfect playthrough without any mistakes or missing anything. If you're using a walkthrough, you can finish in about 1-2 hours. All of the trophies are miscellaneous and not missable. There are only two trophies that are story related and will unlock just by completing the game. The rest of the trophies can be gone back to with the use of the "Replay" option found on the main menu of the game. These aren't really labeled as chapters or levels, but they show a picture of a previous level that you have made it to or completed. Selecting an image will take you to that exact spot and this can be used to cleanup any missed trophies from your first playthrough. Last of all, there are no collectible trophies. So, if you wish to, you don't have to collect any of the Audio Logs that you find throughout your journey.

Also, for those who would like to play the game without using a guide, feel free to do so, as this Trophy Guide will be written in the order that trophies are obtained in a single playthrough.

I highly recommend that you follow the walkthrough so you can reduce the completion time. Using a walkthrough will enable you to obtain all trophies with step-by-step instructions that will make sure you get the Platinum Trophy in a single playthrough.

Controls:

Step 1: Play and complete the game while obtaining all the miscellaneous trophies

Simply play and focus on doing all the miscellaneous trophies. If you do miss any of the miscellaneous trophies and proceeded too far. Don't worry because you can use the "Replay" feature to go back for them even after completing the game. The story related trophies will unlock naturally just by completing the game. Enjoy the story and journey of this robot as the adventure unfolds.

Wreckage

No way back.

This is one of the first trophies that you can obtain at the beginning of the game. After crash landing and exiting the escape pod. Climb over the escape pod and keep walking towards the left side of the screen. You will find a crashed/wrecked spaceship engulfed in fire, which will unlock the trophy.
Spiderbot

Spider-bot, spider-bot…

This trophy can only be done in the area where you need to climb a ladder to Level B and jump left to push a black metal platform off the edge to stop the electric current below the ladder. After pushing the black metal platform off the edge, jump onto the ladder and jump to the right side. You should see AUDIO LOG 2 so pick it up. After picking up the audio log, you'll see a dead end by a desktop and chair. This wall leads up to nothing, but if you keep wall climbing it to the top like Spider-Man, the trophy will unlock for doing so. However, this can only be done if you keep pressing to jump while you're moving right with either the d-pad [] or the left analog stick [].
Shock Therapy

It’ll learn.
Story related, cannot be missed.

After passing a carnivorous plant with the use of a white firefly. Keep going right by jumping, climbing platforms and sliding down a hill until you find AUDIO LOG 3 (be careful to not fall down the cliffs). Climb the nearby ladder next to the audio log and climb towards the top. You should see two platforms to your right, try to catch yourself on the top right platform and fall to the second platform below it. If done correctly, you should see a black cube like object near the right corner of this platform. Climb over it and push it off the left edge. Now jump back onto the ladder and hopefully you grab onto it to break your fall (or else you might die). When on the ground level, grab and push the black cube all the way towards the right side. You'll see a huge spider-like creature next to some electrical objects that have no power. Pushing the black cube into the power outlet will turn these electrical objects on and electrocute the creature to run away, which also unlocks this story related trophy for doing so.
Jump for Fun

Raindrops keep fallin’ on my head.

This trophy can be easily missed as it's not in the direct story related path just by playing through the game. Eventually, you'll come to a dead end that has a wall-like block of stairs you can grab and extend out. You need to pull these blocks out to make a path towards the top of the mountain. This is very simple to figure out on your own but if you need a visual demonstration, you can view the solution in the images in the Platinum Walkthrough by clicking here or by watching the video guide at 11:27.

At the top of the platform after solving the puzzle. Jump and climb the floating rock platforms. Jump to the right side and then turn around and jump onto the two floating rocks to the left since you can now reach them. On the left side of this area is a lonely mushroom that serves no purpose whatsoever, however, jumping on it just once will unlock this trophy.
Bottom of the Pool

Darkest depths.

Eventually, you'll see a huge lake of water with some electric eels swimming in the water. On the water's surface are three floating platforms you can jump onto. The middle platform can eat you, so be sure to try and land into the center of it when it starts shooting out air to avoid being eaten. In the next part, you will see a small pool of water that you can jump over. Don't do this, instead, you want to jump inside this small pool of water and swim all the way down to the bottom of it by pressing or . This will unlock the trophy for reaching the darkest depths of this pool.
Death From Above

Should’ve kept an eye out.

You'll eventually encounter some kind of flying bell-like spider creature hovering in the air. This creature can grab and eat you so to avoid this. You need to wait for it to try and eat you with its bell/tongue, then you need to quickly jump onto the tongue and jump off it to continue heading right. Along the way, you will come across AUDIO LOG 6 that you can pick up. Keep going right and now you'll start coming across lasers (which is shooting from a tower that has an eye). These lasers are easy to avoid but if you let the laser kill you for the first time, you'll unlock the trophy.
Running into Walls

Sometimes, a hidden passage opens up.

This trophy can be easily missed if you don't know about it especially during your first initial playthrough. Eventually, you'll be in a cave where there will be a laser object shooting a green beam at the pool of lava in front of you. Jump onto the laser and swing it back and forth to gain some momentum to jump off it to reach the right side. Keep heading right but don't advance too far, you'll see a rock fall behind you. Turn around and climb this rock to reach the upper levels. This area really doesn't do anything to advance the story but there's a hidden passage that you can get into by jumping into the wall on the left and keep running left which will unlock the trophy.

End of the Tunnel

Explore the dead end.

Shortly after unlocking the Laser Survivor trophy, you'll need to find a way to get past both red lasers without dying. To do this, climb the two left ladders all the way to the top and head towards the ladder on the right side. There is a green laser device that you can jump onto and start swinging back and forth to increase the swing speed. This will cause the green laser to touch the green button switch on the ground level which in turn disables the red laser on that corresponding side. Once you have gained enough speed on the right green laser, quickly jump off the device, take the ladder up and head back towards the left ladders. Jump onto the left green laser and start swinging back and forth until you gain enough momentum for it. Now you must quickly jump off the left green laser device and take the ladder down to the ground level. Run as fast as possible to the right side past the red lasers. If the red laser is still on but the green laser is still swinging, you might have to wait a bit before running past the red laser. Keep heading right and pull the black/grey cube out of your way to clear a path ahead. Continue heading right and climb the poles that you come across upwards and not downwards. You'll end up reaching the dead end of the tunnel with nowhere to go, which will unlock the trophy.
Secret Pipe

Oldest trick in the book.

After unlocking the End of the Tunnel trophy, you need to climb the ceiling by jumping onto the black vines that you see in the big open space tunnel. There is a ball-like object on the far left of this ceiling and you need to jump on it to knock it down to the ground. You'll have to do some swinging on the ball for it to fall off the vines. Remember to be careful with your jumps because falling from this height will result in death. With the ball, roll it all the way towards the left side of the area and push it down the two poles below. At the bottom, there will be a switch on the ground on the left side. Pushing the ball on top of this switch will cause the water to fill the tunnel underneath the ground. This grants you access to the right area. Continue heading right until you're standing on a huge broken pipe. This pipe is a trophy if you enter the inside of it. To do this, try and jump off the edge of the pipe to catch yourself and climb inside the pipe and head towards the left of the pipe to unlock the trophy.

If you failed or messed the jump up. Don't worry because you can press the button and select "Respawn" to be placed back on top of the broken pipe where you can reattempt the trophy. This is the only way to reset the robot back in position as there's no other way to get back on top of this broken pipe.
Laser Survivor

Making light of the situation.

Eventually, you'll come across a section where touching the green laser will trigger a series of crushing devices that you need to outrun. On the third crush device, you need to jump on top of it so you can get higher ground to jump across the gap on the right. Jump across the platforms near the lava and quickly run off the large rock floating on top of the lava because your body weight is causing the platform to sink into the lava. Keep heading right and you'll see some ladders, green lasers/switches, and red lasers. The green lasers are safe to touch but the red lasers will kill you, however, if you let yourself die to these red lasers the trophy will unlock.
Lava Forever

Heatwave.

In the area where you can pick up AUDIO LOG 8, climb the ladder all the way to the top and jump off towards the left. On this platform is a black lever that you can pull with that will turn the power on to the electric bulb current. With the power on, climb back onto the ladder and pull the second lever found on the top right platform. This lever will turn on the gears of the elevator. You're all done here so climb the ladder down to the bottom level and take the elevator down by standing on the center switch. Continue heading towards the right and you'll find a black wheel cart and some lava. Ignore the wheel cart for now because there's a trophy for dying to the lava, so jump into the lava and die on purpose to unlock the trophy.
Energy Room

Have a rest. Now carry on.

In the energy core area where you'll have to use the center cube to climb towards the top of the rotating square. Be careful to avoid touching the energy core and make your way towards the left platform area. Take the ladders to the top of this platform and head right while using the crushing platforms to gain some height before you jump across the gaps. Now in the last room, you'll be able to see the two energy cores and the lever below. Falling down will prevent you from getting back to the top platform unless you used the "Replay" feature. The first thing you want to do is obtain the final miscellaneous trophy by jumping across the gap of this small room. In the very corner, keep running against the wall and the trophy will unlock.

This is the corner where you need to run into. Very easy to miss if you weren't aware of it:
Boogie Time

Just dance.
This is the only miscellaneous trophy in the entire game that can be done virtually anywhere and at any time. Simply pressing the button will cause your character to dance and unlock the trophy.
The End

Fin.
Story related, cannot be missed.

Near the end of the game, you'll find a lever and some white switches. This is a puzzle that requires you to complete the above image by using the white switches. There's a top and a bottom portion of the image and the lever will switch between top/bottom images. The easiest solution is to press the first button 6 times, the second button 5 times, the third button 2 times, and the fourth button 5 times. The top image should be completed, now flip the lever to start working on the bottom images (don't touch the white switches before hitting the lever). On the bottom images, hit the first switch 5 times, the second switch 4 times, the third switch 3 times, and the fourth switch 2 times. This will solve the image but it will start emitting a dangerous energy source that can kill you if you touch it. To avoid dying by this energy, just keep heading towards the right and pull the lever that you find. Afterwards, jump off the platform and you will be suspended into the air as the game comes to an end via a cutscene.
