Pic-a-Pix Pieces is the sequel to Pic-a-Pix Pieces and the sixth Pic-a-Pix game. This is a picross puzzle game available on PS4 and Vita, with separate trophy lists. In these puzzles, you need to apply logic to a grid in order to paint a picture. The difference with Pieces is that each grid you complete is a piece of a larger picture. There are only 20 pictures, but there are 480 individual puzzle pieces to complete. The logic is the same. There is a nice help section on the main menu that will detail exactly how to complete one of these puzzles. You can also watch my Overview Video I created for Pic-a-Pix Color for some pointers.
Some of the puzzles are larger than the Vita screen allows. A few puzzles have rows that are off the bottom of the screen, meaning you're at a disadvantage when trying to solve these legit. I had no problem figuring out the puzzles when this happened, but be aware that it does happen in a few of the puzzles - such as PIE3716. You can see there are extra clues toward the bottom for a row that I have selected that cannot be seen. This is not an issue on PS4, only on Vita.
Another minor issue can be seen in PIE3716 - there is a hint at the top that is off-screen. The cell I have selected has a clue we cannot see. There is a space for a brown color, but no visible hint for it. There aren't many of these issues, fortunately. This is not an issue on the PS4, only on Vita.
Another issue is that a few puzzles have a color that is not shown on the left. PIE4016 for example has red in the puzzle, but it is not shown with the colors on the left. You are able to rotate to the color, but once you activate that color you cannot get back to the other colors. This means you need to Quit and Save back to the menu and go into the puzzle again. Just be mindful to not swap to the hidden color. This is an issue on both PS4 and Vita.
Doing these puzzles at my own leisure, I ended up completing everything in 146 hours, 28 minutes, and 20 seconds. Using the Fix method will undoubtedly be much faster, but it will be a very long and boring process.

Step 0: Consider your Play Style
There are a couple of methods to completing these puzzles.
- Solve the puzzles on your own
- Spam "Fix"
Completing the puzzles on your own using the logic provided will take you the longest but it will be the most enjoyable.
Since there are only a few trophies for earning medals (complete each puzzle size with a medal and complete an entire picture with a medal), you may find it easiest to spam the fix button. After some testing, the best strategy is to fill the entire puzzle with the first color and then use Fix. Rinse and repeat with the remaining colors. You only need to fill the rows and columns that the color appears in.
Note on the medal trophies: If you use the
button to check for incorrect marks, be sure to not press
, which will void the medal you need for a few of the trophies. Use
to back out of this screen. Only a few trophies rely on not using fix so you are free to use it once you've earned the related trophies. Refer to Heavy Medal
, Pedal to the Medal
, and Precious Medal
. Due to the meager requirements for Medals, there is no need for a Solution Guide.
Step 1: Complete the puzzles!
Now you get to complete all the puzzles! The only thing to be cognizant of is to not use the "Fix" option on all of one Picture (such as Picture 1), and at least one 15x15 and one 20x20 puzzle piece. Those are the requirements for all of the medal trophies. You can use
to “test mark” a square - if you don’t want to spam the Fix option, this will allow you to test how making a square one color will affect the rest of the logic. You will still need to mark it with
in order to complete the puzzle.
Step 2: Clean up.
If you did not get the trophies for earning the medals, get back to a corresponding puzzle to earn them.
