Introduction:

Welcome to Pamuria, where Pandas play arcade soccer for fun!  Gameplay is varied by introducing power ups and soccer balls with various effects and score values.  This game is meant for couch co-op or couch versus, though it does have an AI mode.  No career modes, no MP, just a short "Campion's Road" with five rounds against the AI.  Be sure to have the latest patch as many trophies were glitched in v1.0.

Realize that the game can be a little glitchy.  Not often, but enough to notice, the gameplay will go buggy.  Your pandas won't move, or no one can touch the ball, or a goalie will freeze mid-throw.  Finishing the (timed) match will allow all your progress to count, but if it's early in the match, or you don't care, just Restart.

Walkthrough:

Step 0: Familarize yourself with the game.
Read the tutorial, check the controls, try a match (Training, easy AI) to get a feel for passing, shooting, and defending.  Set up your team (put the Blind one in as goalie).

Step 1: Complete starter Pandas' quests in One vs One until you unlock the Wanted One.
You'll want the Wanted One's top-notch kicking ability to cheese this game.  After this you can tackle the next two steps in any order you choose

Step 2: Continue unlocking Pandas and competing their quests
Stick to One vs One mode to make this more efficient.  See individual Panda trophies for tips.

Step 3: beat the Hard AI and win the Campion's Cup
With the Wanted one on your team you should be able to cheese the first four rounds effortlessly.

Step 4: beat the Secret Finale
See Did It trophy_gold.png

Step 5: Grind
Score lots of goals, with specialty balls as needed, until the plat pops.  Clean up any remaining Panda quests or miscellaneous trophies.

Between Steps 0 through 5 you will receive the following:

42 trophies ( 30  10  )

  • You made Pamuria proud, you are part of the Island. Welcome!

Platinum.  Like every platinum, it will unlock with the last non-DLC trophy.  Congrats!
  • Get to Level 10

  • Get to Level 20

  • Get to Level 30

You gain experience after each game depending on score and tackles, etc.  You'll be well over level 30 by the time you plat this but if you're in a real rush you can make the Disguised One captain for the experience boost.
  • First Panda in Item Level 1

This unlocks when one of your Pandas reaches Item level 1.  You'll be doing this for every Panda, so no need to focus on this trophy.
  • First Panda in Item Level 2

This unlocks when one of your Pandas reaches Item level 2.  You'll be doing this for every Panda, so no need to focus on this trophy.
  • First Panda in Item Level 3

This unlocks when one of your Pandas reaches Item level 3.  You'll be doing this for every Panda, so no need to focus on this trophy.
  • The Bright One in Item Level 3

Get the Bright One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Bright One is unlocked from the start.  His quest is to pick up a Powerup.  Power ups are generated by tackling opponents.  I combined this with the Forceful One's quest.
  • The Wise One in Item Level 3

Get the Wise One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Wise One is unlocked from the start.  His quest is to score with Powerup.  Not just any power up, but the "2x Powerup" that doubles your score.  When picked up, Red crystals come out of the ground.  Speed boost and monster panda power ups will NOT count toward this quest.  Power ups are generated by tackling opponents.  I combined this with the Forceful One's quest.  He's got a great kick stat so scoring shouldn't be a problem.
  • The Wanted One in Item Level 3

Get the Wanted One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Wanted One is unlocked at Level 5.  His quest is to stun opponents.  Simply launch a max kick at a non-goalie opponent.
  • The Forceful One in Item Level 3

Get the Forceful One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Forceful One is unlocked from the start.  His quest is to create power ups, which are randomly generated by tackling opponent pandas.  They don't even have to have a ball so just go nuts.
  • The Swift One in Item Level 3

Get the Swift One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Swift One is unlocked at level 5.  His quest is to score goals.  Nothing special.
  • The Wild One in Item Level 3

Get the Wild One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Wild One is unlocked from the start.  His quest is to score goals with Special balls.  Special balls are randomly generated when the ball goes over the sidelines so use the second controller to do just that, throw the ball to the Wild One and score.  He's got a decent kick power stat.
  • The Disguised One in Item Level 3

Get the Disguised One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Disguised One is unlocked from the start.  His quest is to win.  Put him on your team and leave him for some games while you work on other Panda's quests.
  • The Blind One in Item Level 3

Get the Blind One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Blind One is unlocked from the start.  His quest is to make saves.  He's a good goalie (high Catch) and you won't get a better one for some time so just leave him in there.  If you're always in One vs One you'll need to use the second controller to take weak shots at him.
  • Win a Local Match

WIn a One-vs-One match.  This will require a second controller.  You'll be using this mode a lot to unlock trophies, so don't worry about it.
  • Win a Quick Match

Win a Vs. AI (under Training) match against the AI.  Any AI setting will work.  The Easy and Normal AI's are pitiful so you should have no problem.
  • Unlock Map 2

Map 2 is unlocked at level 5.  You gain experience after each game depending on score and tackles, etc.  You'll be well over level 30 by the time you plat this but if you're in a real rush you can make the Disguised One captain for the experience boost.
  • Unlock Map 3

Map 3 is unlocked at level 10.  You gain experience after each game depending on score and tackles, etc.  You'll be well over level 30 by the time you plat this but if you're in a real rush you can make the Disguised One captain for the experience boost.
  • Unlock Map 4

Map 4 is unlocked at level 20.  You gain experience after each game depending on score and tackles, etc.  You'll be well over level 30 by the time you plat this but if you're in a real rush you can make the Disguised One captain for the experience boost.
  • 10 Goals with BeeHive

Score 10 goals with the BeeHive specialty ball.  Specialty balls are randomly generated when the ball goes over the sidelines so use the second controller to kick/carry the ball over the sideline repeatedly until you get the desired specialty ball.  The BeeHive is yellow and doesn't last very long.  Max power kick with a good kicker (like the Wanted One) will usually score.
  • 15 Goals with RockBall

Score 15 goals with the Rockball specialty ball.  Specialty balls are randomly generated when the ball goes over the sidelines so use the second controller to kick/carry the ball over the sideline repeatedly until you get the desired specialty ball.  The Rockball is big, slow, heavy, and whitish tinged with red.  It's a little tough for weaker kickers to score with it unless it's a Quickshot or a stunned goalie.  Max power kick with a good kicker (like the Wanted One) will usually score.
  • 30 Goals with BambooBall

Score 30 goals with the Bambooball specialty ball.  Specialty balls are randomly generated when the ball goes over the sidelines so use the second controller to kick/carry the ball over the sideline repeatedly until you get the desired specialty ball.  The Bambooball is green and dark.  It's very elastic so it creates huge rebounds and seems lighter so kicks can end up going a little higher than expected.  Max (or near max) power kick with a good kicker (like the Wanted One) will usually score.
  • 30 Goals with PowerBall

Score 30 goals with the PowerBall specialty ball.  Specialty balls are randomly generated when the ball goes over the sidelines so use the second controller to kick/carry the ball over the sideline repeatedly until you get the desired specialty ball.  The Powerball is red and dark and big.  If the goalie does stop it, he'll be stunned for a good while.  Max (or near max) power kick with a good kicker (like the Wanted One) will usually score.
  • Score-count over 100

  • Win 30 Matches

One vs One, Quick matches, and "Campions Cup" wins all count toward this.  Don't worry, you'll get far more than 30 wins by the time you plat this.
  • Become the Champion

Win the fourth round of the "Campions Cup".  The first three rounds are extremely easy.  The fourth round is very doable, as the AI is about the level of "Hard", which still isn't very good.  The tried and true strategy of full-power long bombs from center-ish with a great kicker (the Wanted One) will cheese this trophy.  If you need more tips (you shouldn't), see trophy_gold.pngDid It trophy_gold.png
  • Score-count over 500

  • Win a Hard Quick Match

Win a match against the Hard AI (Tutorial, Quick Match, Hard).  The AI isn't all that good, but might surprise you because the AI you play on the easier settings is so ridicously bad.  On this setting the AI will actually score a few goals, and successfully tackle/block/save a few of your full power shots.  The tried and true strategy of full power long bombs from center-ish with a great kicker (the Wanted One) will cheese this trophy.  If you need more tips, see Did It trophy_gold.png
  • Score-count over 1001

This will be the last trophy you get.  You'll probably have every other trophy around the time you get the 500 Score count trophy.  It is the cumulative score by all your Pandas over all games played.  I believe specialty ball bonuses count towards this (ie: a beehive ball counts as three, not one).  That said, they're too inefficient to generate.  Just use a great kicker, like the Wanted One, at center in a local One vs One match.  Grab the ball, move a little down (so as not to hit the opposing center) and launch a full power kick at the goal.  You'll most likely score.  RInse and repeat.  You can easily get about 50 goals in a 6 minute match.  Add loading times, half-time, etc to stretch that to a very generous 10 minutes.  So the remaining 500-ish count you'll need to grind for about 2 hours with time for a snack and bathroom break.  Not so bad, just boring.
  • 2x Powerup and a Beehive Goal

You need to score a goal with a Beehive ball (yellow-ish) by a panda with the 2x Powerup (red crystals pop up when the panda gets it and the ground cursor ring around the panda will have a red ring).  Power ups are randomly generated by tackling opposing pandas and special balls are generated by a throw-in.  So start a One vs One match, have a great kicker (like the Wanted One) in your line up and tackle the opponents repeatedly until you get the 2x power up.  Afterward, use the second controller to carry/shoot the ball over the sidelines.  Keep repeating until you get a beehive ball, pass it to your kicker and launch a full power kick at the opposing net.  Hopefully it goes straight in, but it might stun the goaltender and you'll have to kick in the rebound.  The powerup and the beehive don't last forever, so this will take a little luck to get both of these simultaneously with enough time to score.

Secret trophies

  • The Evil One in Item Level 3

Get the Evil One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Evil One is unlocked at level 10 and has the hardest quest: scoring power play goals.  A power play occurs when an opposing panda is eating bamboo, which is generated by you tackling the opposing players repeatedly until a white picket fence-like power up appears.  This is easiest done in 1vs1 with a second controller and while tedious, is the easiest part of this sequence.  Because you don't have a lot of time, and now have to score with a terrible kicker.  Other pandas scoring do NOT count, it must be the Evil One.  If you're lucky you also got a baby power up (which makes the goalie a tiny baby), but most likely you'll have to stun the goalie with a max power kick (but not with a great kicker, as they would just score) and then use the Evil One to kick in the rebound.  The Evil One's max kick isn't guaranteed to stun the goalie.  Alternatively, you can set up a Quickshot from a winger to the Evil One when he's right in front of the net (carry the ball deep into the opposing field with a winger near the sidelines and simply pass to him (circle.png if he's center) and then pull the right stick toward the goal when it's close to him).  Not a great method as it relies heavily on timing and the goalie often stops it.  Another method is to use the opponent to kick/carry the ball over the sideline deep in their own end.  Control the Evil One and park him in front of the net (edge of the crease or thereabouts) and throw the ball into him (circle.png if he's center) and kick it in before the goalie can catch you.

Putting a crappy goalie in the opposing net (low Catch) or stunned longer (low Toughness) helps.
  • The Lazy One in Item Level 3

Get the Lazy One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Lazy One is unlocked at level 10 and his quest is to "avoid delicious bamboo".  This quest is a bit tedious and best done in One vs One.  Use the second controller to tackle your pandas over and over (I combine this with the Devious one's quest) until the Delicious Bamboo power up appears (looks like a white picket fence).  NONE of your pandas can go near it.  If any of your pandas eat it, it will not count.  Use cross.pngcircle.pngsquare.pngtriangle.png to move any panda that gets too close away.  The quickest way to make the delicious bamboo powerup disappear is to score, so a max power long bomb will come in handy.
  • The Annoying One in Item Level 3

Get the Annoying One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Annoying One is unlocked at level 10 and his quest is to make Quickshots.  They count even if you don't score.  To make a Quickshot pass to the Annoying one and flick rs.png towards the goal as he receives the pass.  You should see "Perfect"  "Good" or "Bad" appear by the panda if you did it right.  This is pretty quick and easy.
  • The Insightful One in Item Level 3

Get the Insightful One to Item level 3. Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Insightful One is unlocked at level 20 and don't be fooled by the quest description of cleaning the goal at halftime.  Just put him in goal and play enough games.  He's got a great Catch stat anyway.
  • The Blessed One in Item Level 3

Get the Blessed One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Blessed One is unlocked at level 20 and his quest is to score from his own end.  Max power kick from his own side of the center line will work more often than not.  If you're having problems you can make him Captain for the extra kick power.
  • Why?

The Forgotten One in Item Level 3

Get the Forgotten One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Forgotten One is unlocked at level 30 and has the easiest quest: Don't put him on the team.  Seriously, that's it.  Ignore him.
  • The Devious One in Item Level 3

Get the Devious One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The Devious One is unlocked at level 30.  His quest is draining opponents below half stamina.  As far as I can tell, he doesn't have some move that drains opponents' stamina, but thankfully every opposing panda below half stamina counts toward his quest.  So using the second controller and run your pandas ragged (sprinting with r2.png and tackling) works just fine.  You can get two or three pandas below half stamina per game.  I usually combined this with the Avoiding Bamboo quest.
  • The ONE in Item Level 3

Get the One to Item level 3.  Each Panda has a quest that can been seen in the bottom left on the Panda selection screen before each game, and (for the Pandas that played) on the summary screen at the end of the game.

The One is unlocked after beating the Secret Finale (see Did It trophy_gold.png).  His quest is fulfilled by putting him on the team and making him Captain.  Unlocking him is much harder than completing his quest..
  • Heard 3 different rare comments in one Match

This trophy will probably pop while getting the other trophies.  I'm not clear what exact actions generate "rare comments" but if you don't have this trophy by the time you've gotten everything else, try generating different specialty balls by continuously taking the ball over the sidelines.  I've noticed a variety of comments for each specialty ball.

Credit to FallenRyan for providing the following information:

At least two of the "rare comments" are:

    ● When you score x2 + Beehive goal = Commentator says "GGGGGGOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL" (this is the only occasion when the commentator reacts to a goal).

    ● If you tackle an opponent with low health = Commentator may say "Extreme Overkill" (trophy popped right after this was said).

    I'm guessing the 3rd is:

    ● When you collect a x2 powerup = Commentator may say "That is a charged up panda" (and it shows an image of a panda holding up it's arms). This can happen if you pick up either the x2 goal or x2 speed powerup.

  • Win the "ONE" Secret Final

Win the secret final, which is unlocked after winning round four of the "Campions cup".  You must win, a tie still counts as a defeat.  There's no overtime or penalty shots to break the tie.

This is the hardest trophy in the game.... unless you get lucky.  The AI is VERY good here... most of the time.  Every once in a while, the AI seems to drop down to Normal or Hard level which is very beatable so you can just keep trying until you get lucky.  The 3/10 difficulty rating is assuming you get that lucky break.  Otherwise the difficulty is much higher.  Just realize it might take a dozen games or so to get that lucky break.  For those that are unlucky or want to beat the AI at its best, I'll give some tips.

First you should know what you're dealing with.  This AI is near perfect, while your AI teamates are USELESS:
    - the AI will set up Quickshots a lot.  And they'll almost always score doing it.  If your defender is controlled by the AI he'll just watch them score even though he is right there to do something about the Quickshotting panda.  If you can't steal the ball from the winger before he passes, you'll have to control the defender and intercept the pass.

    - they're also pretty good shots.  Even with the best goalie, you'll get scored on a lot, sometimes with what looks like pretty stoppable shots.  You need to sprint and steal the ball to have any hope of defending.  And if you can't do that, at least block the shot, because they can score at near will.  Your goalie, even with perfect Catch stat, is very beatable.  The lowest I've held them to was 4 goals, and most competitive games were 6.  Scores in games where I sucked easily went into the double digits.

    - they are very tough.  Tackling can be tough to aim in this game, but it's almost pointless against this AI because they can recover from being tackled almost as fast as you can recover from tackling them.  You'll successfully tackle them and steal the ball only for them to tackle you before you can even move.  Seriously, it's that bad.  You can pass the ball before you can move (bizarrely enough) so try passing the ball immediately after tackling them.

-they are faster than you.  They'll take the face-off ball every time, even if you sprint or tackle.

-the AI will tackle you a LOT.  They will mercilessly chase you down.  They're faster than your ball-carrying panda even if you sprint and their tackles are extremely accurate.  Their teammates will do a decent job of cutting off passing lanes, or are at least staying close enough to your teammates to intercept the pass or just tackle your receiver.  It's REALLY hard to get enough space to have enough time to get off a max power shot.  There is a bias in their tackling - they seem to track your direction and tackle towards where you will be when their sliding tackle will hit you, so you can dodge the tackle by going backwards, but they recover so quickly (and are now in between you and the goal, instead of behind you) that this isn't very effective.  You'll need to pass the ball around several times to get some space for your heavy kickers, and hope the ball isn't intercepted.

-the only good news I can give is that their goalie is about as good as your goalie.  In other words, reasonably beatable.  Still susceptible to max power long bombs from a panda with a high kick power stat.  But you may have to aim more toward the edges of the net instead of at the goalie in the center.  And you can't be much further back than center.  He'll usually stop those.

I used the best kickers: the Wanted One, the Annoying One, the Blessed One, and the Swift One (on the wing, either as a rapid defender or to carry the ball when there wasn't a good pass option).  I tried to defend by stealing the ball rather than tackle, and to get off a few quick passes to move up the field.  Max Power long bombs from the Wanted One was about the only way I had to score.  It's tough, expect to lose a lot.  Blind One or Insightful One in goal.

If you get sick of it, you can leave and come back later.  You only have to redo the early rounds if you beat the secret final.

DLC: PandaBall 2.0

1 trophies

  • Play a match on Placies (One vs. One or Vs. AI)

Placies is the fifth (far right) field and is unlocked at level 30.  It is a winter map (makes no difference to gameplay).  Simply start a match on this field and the trophy will pop.  This is a DLC trophy and not required for the platinum, but you'll likely earn it long before the plat unlocks.
