One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is the fourth entry into the acclaimed Pirate Warriors series developed by Omega Force. Featuring Dynasty Warriors/Musou-type gameplay, you'll play as various One Piece characters as you fight your way through thousands of enemies while capturing territories and completing objectives. In comparison to the previous title, this game takes a bit of a step back in terms of content quantity, but the gameplay is more unique and slightly more refined. Characters are now split into types where each one possesses unique qualities that makes their gameplay more unique from one character to another. Characters also possess a new ability called Full-Force Burst which gives them a boost depending on which type they are. For those that are looking to get into One Piece, this game probably isn't the title you want to start with. It barely dives into the unique stories and colorful cast of characters as it skips several major sagas of the series. For an in-depth One Piece story experience, you are better off with the previous entry. In terms of trophies, however, you'll be pleased to know this is the easiest and fastest Pirate Warriors Platinum to date.

Step 1: Complete the Dramatic Log

Firstly, you should focus on completing the Dramatic Log which covers the One Piece story (though unfortunately not really in depth) up to the Wano Saga, which is where the series is currently at. You will earn the majority of the trophies here, and you should be able to gain a nice amount of coins and money for leveling characters. There are 6 chapters including the Alabasta Arc, Enies Lobby Arc, Summit War Arc, Entry to the New World Arc, Whole Cake Island Arc, and Land of Wano Arc (the latter being an original story for the game, not the actual canon events of the story since Wano is currently ongoing). As soon as you have the money and coins to afford it, I suggest immediately purchasing and maxing out the Cat Burglar skill found in Nami's Growth Map 1, the Coin Collector skill in Bartolomeo's Growth Map 1, and the Bounty Hunter skill found in the Beginning Map for every character. This will allow you to begin collecting as much Berries as possible to shorten any grinding you may need to do for Rich Pirates later on. Make sure that you play on Normal or higher so that you can earn Supernova since playing on e as will only award you with an A rank.

Completing this step should earn you the following:

Supernova
A Great and Priceless Treasure
The Tree of Knowledge
Bounty Hunter
I Want Ten People
Grand Fleet
Friends
Family
Fantastic Hardship
Asura’s Path
Push On Through!
Pirate Ranking
A King’s Qualities
One Step Towards The Dream
Heedless Rush
Lightning Speed
Sophistication
Harsh Winds and Strong Waves
I'm Getting Fired Up...!
Willing to Die For the Cause
Gear Four
Sky Walk
Certifiably Powerful Enemy
One in a Thousand
Cola Energy
The Power to Destroy the World
The King of Destruction
Two of the Four Emperors stand in the way
My Friends’ Seal
Declaration of War
The Times are Changing
Followers' Sake Cups
Onward to Wano!
A New Dawn

Step 2: Complete the Treasure Log

After finishing the Dramatic Log, you should have a fairly leveled, if not high leveled, character. Now it is time to go into the Treasure Log, which has you completing various episodes as any character you want. You will see at the start that you only have access to East Blue rank while Grand Line and New World are locked. To progress in Treasure Log, you must complete all key missions to unlock the deciding battle mission. After completing the deciding battle mission in a rank, you will unlock the next rank. You will need to do this for all 3 ranks in order to ultimately obtain The Name of that Sea is.... Simply choose your best/highest leveled character and start cracking on the episodes. These episodes will also reward you with various coins that you could not find in the Dramatic Log. These will help grow and max out your character's stat levels to make the later levels easier. I recommend checking what coins your character requires to complete their growth maps, then completing episodes that reward those coins so you can have a maxed-out character for the deciding battle mission on New World rank. You can go online and have other players help you if you are struggling. Alternatively, you can look under The Name of that Sea is... for my suggested loadout to make any fight a breeze.

Completing this step should earn you the following:

The Strongest Creature
Adventures at Daybreak
Level G.L
The Name of that Sea is...

Step 3: Clean Up & Grind 100 Million Berries

At this point you should have just about every trophy except Rich Pirates, which requires that you earn a cumulative total of 100 million Berries. Simply keep completing episodes to earn Berries. Hopefully you equipped the skills mentioned in Step 1 to lessen this grind. You can look under Rich Pirates for the grinding method I found quickest and most effective. Thankfully the grind is not very long, and if you took my advice, you'll have a great head start. Once you have done that, you are finished. Enjoy your brand-spanking-new Platinum!

Completing this step should earn you the following:

Rich Pirates
The Fifth Emperor of the Sea

40 trophies ( 13  23  10  )

  • All trophies acquired

Congratulations! You've battled with the likes of Big Mom, Kaido, Blackbeard, and even Red-Haired Shanks to prove yourself worthy and become the Fifth Emperor of the Sea.

  • Achieved Battle Grade S in any episode

Your Battle Grade is determined by the amount of enemies you defeated and the time it took you to complete the episode. You will definitely earn this naturally as many Dramatic Log episodes have very lenient requirements to achieve an S Battle Grade. Simply obtain one in any episode to earn this trophy. Make sure that you are playing above Easy difficulty, since Easy will only award you with an A rank max.

  • Unlocked at least 25% of the Gallery

As you play through the story, you will meet and learn about new characters. As this happens, the Gallery will unlock more and more items. You will automatically earn this early on as you play through the Dramatic Log.

  • Unlocked at least 75% of the Gallery

As you play through the story, you will meet and learn about new characters. As this happens, the Gallery will unlock more and more items. You will earn this automatically towards the end of the Dramatic Log.

  • Collected 100 million or more berries in total

Berries are the currency of One Piece, and you earn them here by completing the various episodes. You can check your total Berries earned on any Battle Preparation screen. Use  or  to tab over to Player Information, select Results, and go to page 3. You will see your Total Berries Collected. This will likely be the last trophy you obtain since 100 Million Berries is a fair amount that you won't earn if you only do the bare minimum required to get through the game.

I highly recommend immediately purchasing and maxing the Cat Burglar skill found in Nami's Growth Map 1, the Coin Collector skill found in Bartolomeo's Growth Map 1, and the Bounty Hunter skill found in the Beginning Growth Map for any character. Cat Burglar will earn you more Berries at the end of any level. Bounty Hunter will make enemies have a chance at dropping Berries during battle. Coin Collector will allow you to earn more coins at the end of any level. This helps because when you have maxed out a coin's amount to 999, the remaining coins are converted to Berries.

After completing both the Dramatic Log and Treasure Log, you should be sitting at around 50 Million Berries, which is the halfway point. You can play any episodes you want as they all reward Berries. I found the easiest and fastest method as follows:

    - Go into Free Log
    - Go to the Land of Wano Arc and select the episode "Onigashima! Two of the Four Emperors stand in the way"
    - Select your best character and make sure to equip the skills "Cat Burglar", "Coin Collector", "Giant Killer", and any other skills that may boost the attack power of your specific character. "Bounty Hunter" isn't quite worth it on this episode so you are better off just using the skill slot on something to increase your attack.
    - Proceed through the episode while making sure to defeat at least 1000 enemies, and don't forget to skip the final cutscene after beating Kaido by pressing
    - You should be finishing the episode in about 3 minutes while earning at least 1.5 million Berries. This amount will increase if you keep playing and eventually max out the coins you receive as a reward.

Using this method, I obtained my remaining 50 million in about 1.5 - 2 hours.

  • Collected 50 types of coin or more

Coins are a staple in the Pirate Warriors games and are typically rewarded at the end of levels and are used to level up your character. There are hundreds of coins in the game, so you will earn this naturally before you even finish the Dramatic Log. Coins can be viewed in the Gallery.

  • Collected 10 or more playable characters

    See Grand Fleet

  • Collected 30 or more playable characters

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 features a total of 43 playable characters. Monkey D. Luffy, Bartolomeo, Sabo, and Reiju are unlocked from the start. The remaining characters are unlocked through various methods such as obtaining a certain amount of S ranks, completing specific episodes, completing a certain amount of Treasure Log episodes, etc. You can view all characters' unlock conditions on any Battle Preparation screen. Use  or  to move over to Player Information, then select "Character Unlock Conditions". You will only see a few characters at the start, but you will reveal more and more as you progress through the Dramatic Log.

  • One character's Crew Level has MAXED out

    See Family

  • 20 or more characters’ Crew Levels have MAXED out

When you complete any episode, any characters you fought alongside with will earn points toward their Crew Level. Crew Levels unlock various costumes, Growth Maps, and coins. Each character has a total of 5 Crew Levels that can be achieved. Simply playing the game should earn you this trophy since there are a total of 49 characters you can level up. You will likely earn this as you work through the Treasure Log. Alternatively, if you wish to earn this faster, you can purchase the Brothers' Sake Cups skill found in Sabo's Growth Map 1. This skill increases the Crew Points received at the end of any level.

  • Acquired 1 or more skills

    See Asura's Path

  • Acquired 20 or more skills

Skills are found in the Beginner Growth Map and characters' Growth Map 1. They are represented by a Sun-looking icon (ball with 8 spikes). Skills consume a skill slot, and grant various effects when equipped. For this trophy you only need to acquire 20 different skills. You do not need to max them, so simply buying one level will suffice. On the Battle Preparation screen, you can select "Growth Map" then press  to view and purchase items from other characters' Growth Maps.

  • One of your skill levels has MAXED out

Skills are found in the Beginner Growth Map and characters' Growth Map 1. They are represented by a Sun-looking icon (ball with 8 spikes). For this trophy, you only need to max out a single skill. Simply buy all 3 levels of any skill to earn this. You'll know the skill is maxed out when the icon turns gold and has a crown above it.

  • One character's Action Growth Level has MAXED out

Action Growth Levels are found in characters' Growth Map 1. They are represented by an arrow pointing up. Action Growth Levels unlock additional combos and move-sets for your character to use in episodes. For this trophy, you only need to max one character's Action Growth Level. Simply find all islands on the Growth Map with Action Growth Levels and max them out. You will know it is maxed out when the icon turns gold and has a crown above it.

  • One character's special moves have all MAXED out

Special moves are found in characters' Growth Map 1. They are represented by two swords clashing. Special moves are attacks/actions your character can use when they charge up as you play through an episode. They often contain big signature attacks capable of dealing big damage or clearing large amounts of enemies with a single use. For this trophy, you need to max all special moves for a single character. Simply find all islands on the Growth Map with special skills and max them out. You will know the special move is maxed if the icon turns gold and has a crown above it.

  • Acquired all the islands from "The Beginning Map"

The Beginning Map contains a total of 31 islands. It is shared among all characters, so whatever you buy for one character will also be bought for all other characters. For this trophy, you must acquire all 31 islands found on the Beginning Map. Keep in mind that you do not need to max the islands, so simply buying one level to acquire the island is enough. Thankfully, the Beri and coin costs are low on the Beginning Map, so you should be able to get this relatively early.

In One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, characters are divided into various types which have unique characteristics. Power types possess powerful attacks and smash capabilities. Simply play one episode as a Power type to obtain this. Power type characters include:

    - Tashigi

    - Usopp (Both Normal & New World)
    - Nami
    - Chopper
    - Robin
    - Bartolomeo
    - Law
    - Hawkins
    - Bege
    - Hancock
    - Buggy
    - Kuzan
    - Ivankov

  • You won a battle with a Sky type character for the first time

In One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, characters are divided into various types which have unique characteristics. Sky types possess fast and strong power dash moves and can attack enemies below and above them. Simply play one episode as a Sky type to obtain this. Sky type characters include:

    - Sanji (New World)
    - Marco
    - Doflamingo
    - Crocodile
    - Kizaru
    - Smoker
    - Lucci
    - Reiju
    - Ichiji
    - Niji
    - Yonji

  • You used a special skill for the first time

    Story-related and cannot be missed.

Special skills are unique attacks possessed by each character that can deal large damage, clear out large amounts of enemies, or perform a unique action. All characters start with 4 special skills and can be used by holding  then pressing a face button such as . You will get this naturally as the game begins with a tutorial demonstrating how to use special skills.

  • You defeated your first enemy using Full-Force Burst

    Story-related and cannot be missed.

Full-Force Burst is a unique move featured in Pirate Warriors 4 that powers up your character by enhancing certain aspects of their abilities based on their type. Full-Force Bursts are equipped just like a special move and are used the same way. You will earn this naturally since the game features a tutorial that will demonstrate how Full-Force Burst works.

  • You defeated your first enemy while in Form Change.

    Story-related and cannot be missed.

Form Changes are unique Full-Force Bursts possessed by certain characters which will alter their type and moveset. An example of this is Normal Luffy's Gear Second or New World Luffy's Gear Four: Bounceman. You will earn this naturally while playing through the Dramatic Log as the game will teach you about Form Changes.

  • You stayed airborne for at least 10 seconds

This trophy is easily achieved with a Speed type or Sky type character. You can actually get this on episode 2 of Alabasta while playing as Sanji. The key to this is utilizing the power dash. Jump using  then perform a small combo with 2-3  presses, then press  to power dash and reset the combo so that you can start again with 2-3  presses. Repeat this for 10 seconds and the trophy will unlock. Full-Force Bursts reduce stamina consumption for Speed Types, so you can perform one then attempt this if you are having trouble.

  • You used a special skill at least 10 times in one battle

Special skills are unique attacks possessed by each character that can deal large damage, clear out large amounts of enemies, or perform a unique action. All characters start with 4 special skills which are used by holding  then pressing a face button such as . When you use a special skill it needs to recharge over time by defeating enemies. Considering you have 4, just cycle through them while beating enemies to recharge them as necessary. You will definitely earn this naturally unless you are avoiding special skills on purpose.

  • You defeated 1000 or more enemies in a single battle

You will likely earn this naturally. Certain episodes feature massive amounts of enemies while also featuring boss fights. So you will likely end up defeating 1000 enemies while just trying to defeat a boss character. Either way, simply clear out 1000 enemies in a single episode to earn this.

  • You used Power Dash 1000 times or more in total

A power dash is performed by pressing . You will earn this naturally since power dashes are a fundamental way to create large combos and even traverse the various maps.

  • Toppled 10,000 enemies during a Full-Force Burst

The description for this may be misleading as this is cumulative. Over the course of the game, simply defeat 10,000 enemies while using any kind of Full-Force Burst, including Form Changes. As long as you are using Full-Force Bursts somewhat often, you will get this easily.

  • Toppled a total of 100,000 foes

You will definitely achieve this if you are going for the Platinum. Warriors/Musou games are all about clearing large amounts of enemies with attacks. Simply play the game and you will earn this naturally. I earned this after the Dramatic Log while going through the Treasure Log. If you are curious, your enemies defeated counter can be viewed on any Battle preparation screen by going to Player Information and selecting Results.

  • Total Stage Objects Destroyed has exceeded 1000

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 features interactive and destructive environments and destructible objects. Chances are that you will earn this naturally since you'll likely destroy many objects while you fight your way through the numerous bosses and waves of enemies. If you are curious, stage objects destroyed can be viewed on any Battle preparation screen by going to Player Information and selecting Results.

  • Cleared Dramatic Log “Entry to the New World Arc”

    Story-related, and cannot be missed.

You will earn this after clearing Chapter 4, Entry to the New World Arc in the Dramatic Log. This chapter features 6 episodes.

  • Cleared Dramatic Log “Whole Cake Island Arc”

    Story-related, and cannot be missed.

You will earn this after clearing Chapter 5, Whole Cake Island Arc in the Dramatic Log. This chapter features 7 episodes.

    Story-related, and cannot be missed.

You will earn this after clearing Chapter 6, Land of Wano Arc in the Dramatic Log. This chapter features 5 episodes.

  • Cleared at least 1 “East Blue” battle from the Treasure Log

You will need to complete several episodes in a rank to unlock the next rank. East Blue is the rank you start on, so simply complete one episode to unlock this.

  • Promoted to Treasure Log “Grand Line”

To progress in Treasure Log, you must complete several key episodes to unlock the deciding battle episode. After completing the deciding battle episode, you will unlock the next rank. Simply complete the deciding battle episode on East Blue to unlock the Grand Line rank.

  • Cleared the Deciding Battle Episode from the Treasure Log “New World”

This is the hardest trophy in the game, which is actually not that hard as long as you prepare beforehand. Before attempting this, you should have a character completely maxed with all skill slots and level 18 stats. This deciding battle episode will have you fighting against several enemy boss factions such as the Navy, Revolutionary Army, Whitebeard pirates, Seven Warlords, and Four Emperors. They will be very strong so make sure you go in with a well-equipped character. Personally, I made the fight extremely easy with this setup:

    - I used New World Luffy with all Growth Maps maxed out
    - I equipped him with the special moves Gear four: Bounceman, Gear four: Snakeman, Full-Force Burst, and Conqueror's Haki
    - I equipped him with the maxed skills Indomitable Spirit from Zoro's Growth Map, Cat Burglar from Nami's Growth Map, Captain's Wisdom from Luffy's Growth Map, and Coin Collector from Bartolomeo's Growth Map. (I only equipped Cat Burglar and Coin Collector to increase Beri earnings so you can swap those for skills that increase attack)

This setup will make you practically invincible since you essentially possess 3 different Full-Force Bursts, and the maxed Indomitable Spirit skill will make you recover health at a very fast rate. What's also good is, since the standard Full-Force Burst doesn't change your moveset, you can use it to recharge your Gear Four skills easily while keeping your health regeneration. This basically gives you non-stop fast health regeneration throughout the episode.

Alternatively, if you have Playstation Plus, you can recruit another player and hope to have them carry you through the episode. Either way, you will earn this trophy after Shanks is defeated and you win the battle.
